Abstract:
The research used by researchers is descriptive qualitative research. This research uses survey model. the research is conducted on only one target (one location or one subject) for example, although research is conducted in several locations (multiple groups or a number of individuals). That is with the stages of observation, interview, documentation, data analysis. In this case study, the study used purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. For the determination of the research sample is done by purposive because it is known characteristics. The results of the research analysis showed that: 1. The development of aerobic gymnastics in Surakarta developed well with the container that shaded in aerobic gymnastics that is FORMI, and already many types of aerobic exercises that are taught among others zumba, BL, poco-poco etc. 2. Community participation in aerobic gymnastics is so supported by the community, one of them aerobic exercise is an alternative exercise that can be done to keep improving healthy life, because aerobic exercise is very easy to find everywhere. 3. Abstract:
Sedentary lifestyle is one of the ten causes of death and disability in the world. More than two million deaths each year are caused by lack of movement or physical activity. The majority of teenagers are lazy to move and exercise. Aerobic exercise like aerobics is needed to achieve fitness. One way to assess fitness by measuring VO2 Max. This study aimed to look at the effect of aerobics on VO2 Max Level II students of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Riau Department of Nursing Education Study Program Outside the Main Campus. This research was an experimental research with one group pre-test-post test design approach. The samples size was 31 people, consisting of 22 women and 9 men. VO2 Max was tested using the Bleep test. Measurement of VO2 Max is done twice, namely before doing aerobic exercises and after doing aerobic exercises for 6 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week, each aerobic exercise duration of 45 minutes. Data were analyzed by paired sample t-test. The results showed the average VO2 Max value of female students before and after doing aerobic exercise increased from 21.84 ml / kg / minute to 25.26 ml / kg / minute, with a p value of 0.000. In male students there was also an increase in the average VO2 Max before and after aerobic exercise from 29.08 ml / kg / min to 34.07 ml / kg / min with a p value of 0.002. Based on the results of the study concluded, aerobic exercise affects the increase in VO2 Max Polytechnic students of the Ministry of Health Riau Study Program Outside the Main Campus. Lebih dari dua juta kematian setiap tahun disebabkan oleh kurangnya bergerak atau aktivitas fisik. Mayoritas remaja malas untuk bergerak dan berolahraga. Olahraga aerobik seperti senam aerobik diperlukan diperlukan untuk mencapai kebugaran. Salah satu cara menilai kebugaran dengan mengukur VO2 Max. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh senam aerobik terhadap VO2 Max mahasiswa Tingkat II Poltekkes Kemenkes Riau Prodi DIII Keperawatan Di Luar Kampus Utama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan One group pre test-post test design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 31 orang, yang terdiri dari 22 perempuan dan 9 laki-laki. VO2 Max di test dengan menggunakan Bleep test. Pengukuran VO2 Max di lakukan sebanyak dua kali yaitu sebelum melakukan senam aerobik dan sesudah melakukan senam aerobik selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali seminggu, tiap senam aerobik berdurasi 45 menit. Data dianalisis dengan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai VO2 Max pada mahasiswa perempuan sebelum dan sesudah melakukan senam aerobik meningkat dari 21,84 ml/kg/menit menjadi 25,26 ml/kg/menit, dengan nilai p 0,000. Pada mahasiswa laki-laki juga terdapat peningkatan rata-rata VO2 Max sebelum dan sesudah senam aerobik dari 29,08 ml/kg/menit menjadi 34,07 ml/kg/menit dengan nilai p 0,002 (<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan, senam aerobik berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan VO2 Max mahasiswa Poltekkes Kemenkes Riau Program Studi di Luar Kampus Utama. ABSTRACTIntroduction: Sedentary life style had become one of factors causing health problem for someone in general. To avoid that condition we could apply some exercises regularly. Exercise can improve concentration, memory, and intellectuals. The sports enjoyed today are Plyometrics and Aerobics. Both sports proved beneficial in improving cognitive function, including concentration. The purpose of this study is to find out comparison between Plyometric and Aerobic towards concentration level.Methods: This research applied quasi-experimental study with pre and post-test design. There were subjects divided into three groups were control group, Plyometrics group and Aerobics group. Medical students of Diponegoro University were taken as subjects of the research which consist 39 males. Intervention is given for 6 weeks. Each week consists of two meetings. The indicator of this research focused on concentration level measured by using Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST), measured before and after 6 weeks exercise. Statistical analysis of this study using Paired t-test.Results: There was a significant difference in concentration measurement results between treatment and control groups (p=0.00). Treatment group concentration scores improved better than control group. The DSST score on Plyometrics exercises was 60.00±5.08 and after intervention to 78.00±2.30. The DSST score on Aerobic exercises was 58.76±4.88 and after intervention to 63.07±5.88. Plyometrics exercises are shown to have better effects in increased concentration compared to Aerobic exercises.Conclusion Plyometric and Aerobic exercise were able to enhance concentration level with the highest result achieved by Plyometric group.

Abstract:
Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the impact of chair aerobic exercises and core strengthening exercises on primary dysmenorrhea, assessing pain and disability scores using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) and Women's Low Back Pain and Disability Index (WaLLID). The effectiveness of these exercise interventions in reducing pain and disability associated with primary dysmenorrhea was examined. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with participants diagnosed with primary dysmenorrhea. Two exercise groups were formed: chair aerobic exercises and core strengthening exercises. Pain and disability scores were measured using NPRS and WaLLID before and after the intervention. The exercises were performed for a specific duration, and the scores were compared within and between the exercise groups. Results: Both chair aerobic exercises and core strengthening exercises significantly decreased pain and disability scores of NPRS and WaLLID. However, no significant difference was observed in the scores between the two exercise groups. These findings indicate that both exercise modalities are effective in reducing pain and disability associated with primary dysmenorrhea. Conclusion: This study concludes that chair aerobic exercises and core strengthening exercises are effective in managing pain and disability in individuals with primary dysmenorrhea. Both exercise interventions offer comparable benefits in terms of pain management and functional improvement. The results support previous research highlighting the positive impact of exercise interventions on menstrual pain management. Chair aerobic exercises provide a suitable option for individuals with limited mobility or a preference for seated exercise, while core strengthening exercises focus on enhancing core strength and stability. Further research is needed to explore the long-term effects, optimal exercise protocols, and potential combinations with other treatment modalities for primary dysmenorrhea management. Understanding the underlying physiological mechanisms of these exercise interventions would provide valuable insights for improving dysmenorrhea management. Doing exercises regularly is useful to help improve strength, frmness, and endurance and also to avoid early aging process The best exercises to make body healthy are swimming, quick hiking, jogging, and cycling. The goal of the research was to verify the difference of influence toward aerobic and anaerobic exercises towards the change of cholesterol, cholesterol HDL and LDL as well as ratio of cholesterol HDL and LDL. The research was experimental using post test and control group. The sample was classifed into three groups, each of which consisting 10 mice and then randomly aerobic and anaerobic exercises and control group were done. The aerobic exercise by swimming used 3% burden of body weight for 13 minutes and the anaerobic exercise 9% for 0ne minute by taking rest for 3 minutes intermittently as many as 4 sets, while control group did it without exercise. Based on the data analysis, it was found that aerobic exercises was effective to reduce cholesterol, improve cholesterol of HDL and LDL, and ratio of cholesterol of HDL and LDL. In addition the aerobic exercise was better than anaerobic exercise

Abstract:
Physiological effects of aerobic and anaerobic exercises are frequently investigated. However, it is considered that combined exercises may be more effective. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic and combined exercise program on some biochemical parameters. The study group consisted of 45 male volunteers with sedentary life. The participants were divided into three groups as control (n: 15), aerobic exercise (n: 15) and combined exercise (n: 15). The control group did not perform any exercise. Aerobic and combined exercise groups participated in the exercise program 4 days a week for 10 weeks. Blood samples were taken from the participants twice. TSH, T3, T4, AST, ALT, Uric acid and glucose levels were determined in blood samples. SPSS software was used for the analysis of the data and the significance level was accepted as p &lt;0.05. As a result of analysis; no difference was observed in the control group (p&gt; 0.05). In the aerobic exercise group, T3, AST, Uric acid levels of post test were found to be different according to baseline, while in the combined exercise group, there were significant differences in T3, AST, Uric acid and glucose levels between pre and post test values (p &lt;0.05). As a result, it was determined that both aerobic and combined exercises had effects on biochemical parameters (thyroid hormones, liver enzymes, Uric acid and glucose). According to this study it can be said that combined exercises may be more effective than aerobic exercises.

Objectives: To assess the effectiveness of different aerobic exercises to reduce pain intensity and functional disability in patients with CLBP. Methods: A computer-aided search was performed to find Randomised controlled Trials (RCTs) that evaluated the effectiveness of different aerobic exercises in CLBP. Articles published between January 2007 to December 2020 were included in the review. Quality assessment using the PEDro scale, extraction of relevant information, and evaluation of outcomes were done by two reviewers independently. Results: A total of 17 studies were included that involved 1146 participants. Outcomes suggested that aerobic exercise combined with other interventions was more effective than aerobic exercise alone. Aerobic exercise with higher frequency (≥ 5 days/week) and longer duration (≥ 12 weeks) were effective to gain clinically significant (≥ 30%) improvements. Environment and using pedometer did not seem to influence the outcomes. Conclusions: Pain intensity and functional disability in CLBP patients can be minimized by prescribing aerobic exercise. However, to get better improvements, aerobic exercise should be done in combination with other interventions and at optimum frequency and duration. Further studies should emphasize examining the optimal doses and period of different aerobic exercises.

Abstract:
Automatic tracking and quantification of exercises not only helps in motivating people but also contributes towards improving health conditions. Weight training, in addition to aerobic exercises, is an important component of a balanced exercise program. Excellent trackers are available for aerobic exercises but, in contrast, tracking free weight exercises is still performed manually. This study presents the details of our data acquisition effort using a single chest-mounted tri-axial accelerometer, followed by a novel method for the recognition of a wide range of gym-based free weight exercises. Exercises are recognized using LSTM neural networks and the reported results confirm the feasibility of the proposed approach. We train and test several LSTM-based gym exercise recognition models. More specifically, in one set of experiments, we experiment with separate models, one for each muscle group. In another experiment, we develop a universal model for all exercises. We believe that the promising results will potentially contribute to the vision of an automated system for comprehensive monitoring and analysis of gym-based exercises and create a new experience for exercising by freeing the exerciser from manual record-keeping.

Abstract:
It has been well-documented in the literature that there are many physical and psychological benefits to be derived from regular aerobic exercise. It has also been noted that adherence/compliance to aerobic exercise regimens tends to be quite low. Investigators have found that a number of factors tend to correlate with adherence, but it has been difficult thus far to determine a mechanism which underlies a tendency to adhere versus a tendency to drop-out. This study examined the problem of non-adherence from the perspective of Self-Efficacy Theory (Bandura, 1977). Subjects for this investigation included all patients seen during a four week period in the Cooper Clinic at the Aerobics Center in Dallas, Texas. Patients at the clinic receive a complete physical examination and health prescriptions based upon the results of their examination. During this four week period, half were administered a Self-Efficacy Questionnaire. Approximately three months later all patients seen during this four week period received a followup (adherence questionnaire in the mail). It was hypothesized that there would be a positive relationship between responses on the Self-Efficacy Questionnaire and responses on the Adherence Questionnaire. A second hypothesis stated that there would be a positive relationship between items which specifically pertained to exercise on each of the questionnaires. In addition, it was expected that there would be no difference in adherence rates between those who made self-efficacy judgments and those who did not. Results of a t-test conducted between the group which made self-efficacy judgments and the group that was not asked to make such an evaluation demonstrated no significant difference in adherence rates. A correlational analysis revealed that there was not a statistically significant relationship between total self-efficacy scores and total adherence scores. There was, however, a statistically significant relationship between levels of exercise self-efficacy and levels of exercise adherence. In addition to these main variables of interest, correlations between other variables (sex, age, percent bodyfat, etc.) were examined and discussed.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Proper motor development in primary school children is the main goal of physical education. The most common medical problems for pupils are spinal deformities. Our focus was on correcting different types of spinal deformities through an adapted swimming methodology. This paper discusses the use of specific swimming exercises to improve the aerobic capacity and spinal flexibility in order to acquire good body posture and to prevent further deformities. The contingent of the study were 21 boys and 19 girls, ages 7 - 10, with a medical diagnosis of spinal deformities, which were included in experimental and control groups, doing adapted swimming exercises from our experimental methodology and routine swimming exercises. The research methods were functional tests for assessing the aerobic capacity – spirometry, Hirz in inhale and exhale and spinal flexibility tests – bending left, right, and forwards. They were conducted in March and September 2020. Descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and correlation analysis were used for data analysis. The research results revealed that the pupils improved their chest mobility, pulmonary function, aerobic capacity, and spine flexibility. Statistically significant differences appeared between the groups in favor of the experimental methodology. The adapted swimming exercises should be used in future practice.

This article is a systematic review of studies published between 2017 and 2022 in the following databases: PubMed, Medline, Lilacs, Scopus, SciELO. We searched and selected 10 articles included in this research, in which they tell us about the importance of physical exercises and their influence on cognition and genetic polymorphism in the elderly,thus giving priority to combined strength and aerobic training. However, it is concluded that physical exercises have beneficial effects in elderly people with cognitive impairment and dementia, as well as some genes that influence exercise, thus improving quality of life and a better prescription of specific training for this population.

Introduction: During primary breast cancer (BC) treatment, both systemic and local therapies are used to eliminate tumoral cells and reduce the risk of recurrence or disease progression. However, despite the efficacy and success of these treatments, most patients have their quality of life affected by some treatment-related side effects. Among them, fatigue and reductions in cardiorespiratory fitness are commonly observed in response to treatment toxicities during and even following primary treatment. To date, exercise has been considered an effective intervention to counteract these side effects. In the past few years, guidelines from the American Cancer Society, American College of Sports Medicine, and Exercise and Sport Science Australia were published highlighting the importance of being physically active before or after a cancer diagnosis. Recently, the Brazilian Clinical Oncology Society also started a new guideline in exercise and oncology. However, even with numerous studies demonstrating that exercise is effective, the relationship between its prescription variables and effects on these outcomes is unclear. Consequently, it is of great interest to understand the effects of different exercise modalities (e.g., resistance training, aerobic exercise or combined resistance, and aerobic exercise) and their effects on fatigue and cardiorespiratory fitness. Objective: The aim of this study was to describe the effects and moderators of exercise on fatigue and cardiorespiratory fitness in women with BC. Methods: This is a narrative literature review concerning the exercise effects and moderators of exercise response on fatigue and cardiorespiratory fitness in women with BC. The search was undertaken in PubMed using the following terms: “cancer” AND “exercise” AND (“fatigue” OR “cardiorespiratory fitness”) in November 2021. Given the specificity of the topic and outcomes of interest, we selected seven systematic reviews with meta-analysis to describe the exercise effects and moderators of exercise response on fatigue and cardiorespiratory fitness in BC patients. Results: In summary, the design of supervised exercise programs could benefit women with BC. In addition, exercise could result in greater effects in patients presenting higher levels of fatigue when compared to those who do not present. Some examples of supervised exercise programs are in studies from the Supervised Trial of Aerobic Versus Resistance Training (START), Combined Aerobic and Resistance Exercise (CARE), and Optimal Training Women with BC trials (OptiTrain). These studies prescribed resistance training, aerobic exercise, and combined resistance and aerobic exercise, 2–3 exercise sessions per week, 1–3 sets of 8–12 repetitions at 60–70% of one-repetition maximum (1RM) per resistance exercise, and 20–30 min of continuous or high-intensity interval aerobic exercise at 13–15 of the rated perceived exertion (RPE) scale. Regarding the exercise program prescription, supervised, high-intensity, or nonlinear schedule aerobic exercises are also associated with greater effects on cardiorespiratory fitness. The fact that supervised exercise results in greater benefits in cardiorespiratory fitness compared to unsupervised programs (supervised exercise, ES=0.34, 95%CI 0.28–0.40; unsupervised exercise, ES=0.19, 95%CI 0.07–0.32) is an important information. Conclusion: Sufficient evidence indicates that exercise promotes significant effects on fatigue and cardiorespiratory fitness in women with BC. In addition, specific subgroups of patients based on age and baseline levels appear to respond more favorably than others. Regarding contraindications, the exercise prescription should occur accordingly to and with the clearance of the oncologist and the medical team, respecting patients’ individualities, the feasible period for exercise, symptoms, and treatment course.

Abstract:
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of physical exercise as an alternative to integrative and complementary practices and its importance in patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Methods: This is a literature review that was carried out in the PubMed and SciELO databases, in which the articles were searched using the following terms: breast cancer, physical exercise, quality of life, and nonpharmacological treatment, selected between the period of 2017 and 2022. The types of study selected for research were experimental and observational. Results: A study carried out with 28 patients was divided into an experimental group (combined and hospital treatment) and a control group (hospital treatment), where it was concluded that the combined treatment (aerobic, resistance, and flexibility exercise) led to an increase in the frequency of physical activity. Physical exercise in patients with breast cancer provides better cardiorespiratory and joint control. In another study that was carried out with 10 women who survived breast cancer, for 4 months, with the practice of combined physical exercises, it was evidenced that remotely supervised non-face-to-face aerobic and resistance exercises can help maintain the level of fatigue positively. These results corroborate the perception of professionals from the Family Health Strategy, who observed the positive effects of complementary integrative practices (PICS) through the suffering and fragility in the treatment of women with breast cancer, acting on an emotional and spiritual improvement for them, which makes these practices relevant adjunct to conventional treatment in primary care. Conclusion: Physical exercise as an integrative practice can improve asthenia, assist in cardiorespiratory and joint control, and aid in the management of fatigue. Therefore, PICS provides emotional, physical, and spiritual benefits for patients diagnosed with breast cancer.

Abstract:
The practice of physical exercises has been an important alternative to minimize the effects of age on postural control, however, there is a possibility that the interruption of training (detraining) may contribute to the performance of static balance returning to pre-training values. The aim of this study was to analyze the action of multicomponent physical exercise on postural control of elderly women and its effects after a period of detraining. The postural control of 31 women aged between 60 and 80 years was evaluated on a force platform in the following conditions: static position with and without visual afferent (open eye and closed eye); static position with the use of a foam on the platform with and without visual afferent. These variables were used to analyze the effects of two types of training for elderly women, which were divided into two groups: Multicomponent Group (GM): training with strength, aerobic, balance and flexibility exercises and Control Group (CG): training with aerobic exercises and flexibility. All participants were submitted to a period of 16 weeks of training, which was performed three times a week (total of 48 sessions). Postural control was analyzed before and after the training period and with 6 weeks of detraining. In the analysis of variance (ANOVA) it was possible to verify that the training provided a significant difference (F=24.72; p < 0.0001) in the frequency of oscillation between the groups studied (multicomponent group vs control group). The multicomponent group showed a significant decrease in the frequency of oscillation after the training period (p <0.05), however, the values observed after the detraining period were not different from those observed in the pre-training period (p>0.05). In this study it was possible to observe that the sixteen-week training with multicomponent exercises improves the postural control of elderly women. However, these effects are not maintained after a six-week detraining period.

Objectives. Although the health benefits of physical activity are well described for the general population, less is known about the benefits and harms of physical activity in people dependent upon, partially dependent upon, or at risk for needing a wheelchair. This systematic review summarizes the evidence for physical activity in people with multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury regardless of current use or nonuse of a wheelchair. Data sources. We searched MEDLINE®, CINAHL®, PsycINFO®, Cochrane CENTRAL, Embase®, and Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Source from 2008 through November 2020, reference lists, and clinical trial registries. Review methods. Predefined criteria were used to select randomized controlled trials, quasiexperimental nonrandomized trials, and cohort studies that addressed the benefits and harms of observed physical activity (at least 10 sessions on 10 different days of movement using more energy than rest) in participants with multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury. Individual study quality (risk of bias) and the strength of bodies of evidence for key outcomes were assessed using prespecified methods. Dual review procedures were used. Effects were analyzed by etiology of impairment and physical activity modality, such as treadmill, aquatic exercises, and yoga, using qualitative, and when appropriate, quantitative synthesis using random effects meta-analyses. Results. We included 146 randomized controlled trials, 15 quasiexperimental nonrandomized trials, and 7 cohort studies (168 studies in 197 publications). More studies enrolled participants with multiple sclerosis (44%) than other conditions, followed by cerebral palsy (38%) and spinal cord injury (18%). Most studies were rated fair quality (moderate risk of bias). The majority of the evidence was rated low strength. • In participants with multiple sclerosis, walking ability may be improved with treadmill training and multimodal exercise regimens that include strength training; function may be improved with treadmill training, balance exercises, and motion gaming; balance is likely improved with postural control exercises (which may also reduce risk of falls) and may be improved with aquatic exercises, robot-assisted gait training, treadmill training, motion gaming, and multimodal exercises; activities of daily living may be improved with aquatic therapy; sleep may be improved with aerobic exercises; aerobic fitness may be improved with multimodal exercises; and female sexual function may be improved with aquatic exercise. • In participants with cerebral palsy, balance may be improved with hippotherapy and motion gaming, and function may be improved with cycling, treadmill training, and hippotherapy. • In participants with spinal cord injury, evidence suggested that activities of daily living may be improved with robot-assisted gait training. • When randomized controlled trials were pooled across types of exercise, physical activity interventions were found to improve walking in multiple sclerosis and likely improve balance and depression in multiple sclerosis. Physical activity may improve function and aerobic fitness in people with cerebral palsy or spinal cord injury. When studies of populations with multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy were combined, evidence indicated dance may improve function. • Evidence on long-term health outcomes was not found for any analysis groups. For intermediate outcomes such as blood pressure, lipid profile, and blood glucose, there was insufficient evidence from which to draw conclusions. There was inadequate reporting of adverse events in many trials. Conclusions. Physical activity was associated with improvements in walking ability, general function, balance (including fall risk), depression, sleep, activities of daily living, female sexual function, and aerobic capacity, depending on population enrolled and type of exercise utilized. No studies reported long-term cardiovascular or metabolic disease health outcomes. Future trials could alter these findings; further research is needed to examine health outcomes, and to understand the magnitude and clinical importance of benefits seen in intermediate outcomes.

Residual munition constituents (MCs) generated from live-fire training exercises persist in soil and can migrate to groundwater, surface waters, and off-range locations. Techniques to mitigate this potential migration are needed. Since the MC hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine (RDX) can be biodegraded, soil inoculation with RDX-degrading bacteria (i.e., bioaugmentation) was investigated as a means to reduce the migration potential of RDX. Metagenomic studies using contaminated soils have suggested that a greater diversity of bacteria are capable of RDX biodegradation. However, these bacteria remain uncultivated and are potentially a source of novel enzymes and pathways for RDX biodegradation. In situ soil cultivation of a novel soil array was used to isolate the uncultivated bacteria that had been inferred to degrade RDX. Approximately 10.5% of the bacteria isolated from the soil arrays degraded RDX by the aerobic denitration pathway. Of these, 26.5% were possibly novel species of RDX-degrading bacteria, based on 16S rRNA sequence similarity.
