Abstract:
This article presents the results of an empirical pilot-study of Danish and French company presentations. The aim of the study is to establish how human relations manifest themselves in the linguistic surface.The results are divided into horizontal (Distance) and vertical (Authority) relations. The study is based on the concepts of Face and Facework and through a systematization of the chosen Facework strategies differences between Danish and French communicative behavior are shown. The Danish companies appear to have a communicative profile indicating a wish to establish close relations with the reader and a greater need of selfpraise than the French companies.

Abstract:
Et afgørende fokus under covid-19-pandemien har været på at motivere omfattende adfærdsændringer i befolkningen. I denne artikel undersøger vi, hvilke psykologiske faktorer der var mest afgørende for danskernes adfærd under anden bølge af pandemien. Baseret på en spørgeskemaundersøgelse, der er repræsentativ for den voksne danske befolkning, viser vi, at folk, der (1) oplever coronavirusset som en personlig trussel, (2) oplever, at en ændret adfærd gør en forskel (”responseffektivitet”), (3) oplever, at en ændret adfærd ikke har høje omkostninger (”responsomkostninger”), samt (4) har høj institutionel tillid, er mere tilbøjelige til at agere i overensstemmelse med de smittebeskyttende adfærdsråd. Samtidig viser vi, at faktorerne (2)-(4) neutraliserer sammenhængen mellem trusselsfølelsen og den smittebeskyttende adfærd. Dermed anviser vi en potentiel vej til at fremme adfærdsændringer under en krise, der går udenom den frygt.

Abstract:
Traditionally non-suicidal self-injury has been seen as shameful behavior and those suffering from it have concealed it from their surrounding environment. There is a tendency that is growing amongst adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury behavior, in particular adolescent girls, who are now sharing graphic pictures of their non-suicidal self-injurieson social media platforms such as Instagram. This article investigates the psychological mechanisms, which lie behind this phenomenon. This is done within a clinical group of adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury behavior. It is suggested that these social media platforms help the adolescents to create a meaningful identity and to enter into meaningfulrelations with other like-minded people. It is therefore considered important to understand the social medias and their impact on the adolescents’ process of building their identity and relations with others, when one is dealing with non-suicidal self-injury.

Over de seneste 20 år er opbakningen til højrepopulistiske partier polariseret på tværs af land og by. Det gælder også i Danmark, hvor vi har set fremkomsten af ”Det gule Danmark”. Men hvad motiverer dette skift i stemmeadfærden? I denne artikel beskriver jeg de geografiske forskelle i opbakningen til højrepopulistiske partier i Danmark og præsenterer de centrale forklaringsmodeller fra den internationale litteratur. Jeg finder at polariseringen delvist kan tilskrives ændringer i, hvor folk bosætter sig, men også kontekstuelle forhold, som har medført fremkomsten af en landlig bevidsthed, hvor folk føler sig økonomisk-, værdimæssigt- og politisk marginaliseret.

På baggrund af to længerevarende case-studier af gruppemedlemmers adfærd i forbindelse med udarbejdelsen af en projektopgave, undersøges det hvorvidt gruppe-medlemmers informationsadfærd afviger fra den individuelle informationssøgers adfærd i Carol Kuhlthau’s ISP (Information Search Process)- model, samt hvordan denne adfærd relaterer sig til personlige, sociale og kontekstuelle faktorer. En række kvalitative metoder har bidraget til at udforske, belyse og besvare undersøgelsens forskningsspørgsmål. Flere ligheder blev fundet i forhold til ISP-modellen, men også mange forskelle, som viste sig at være relateret til kontekstuelle, sociale og personlige faktorer. Grupper udgør ikke én kognitiv enhed, men består af medlemmer med forskellig adfærd, som dynamisk interagerer mellem et gruppe- og et individniveau – samt mellem de undersøgte faktorer. En udvidelse af Kuhlthau’s model med fokus på gruppemedlemmer præsenteres, GMIC-modellen (Group Member in Context), og det konkluderes at akademisk opgave- og problemløsning må antages at være endnu mere kompleks når den udføres i en gruppebaseret sammenhæng. Undersøgelsens implikationer for fremtidig forskning og praksis præsenteres afslutningsvis.

Titlen på dette omskrevne foredrag er inspireret af Franz Froms klassiske værk, »Om oplevelsen af andres adfærd«, hvori From bemærker, at vi er tilbøjelige til at give andre mennesker skylden, når vi ikke forstår dem, eller når deres adfærd ikke svarer til vore forventninger. Denne iagttagelse sættes i relation til vurderingen af psykopatologi i den transkulturelle kliniske praksis, og mere specifikt i relation til anvendelsen af det internationale diagnostiske system, DSM-IV. Den implicitte ethnocentriske slagside af denne og lignende diagnosticeringsmetoder diskuteres i lyset af forfatterens eget arbejde med indvandrere og flygtninge i Danmark.

Abstract:
Many cities in the developing world aspire to imitate cities of the West in their built form, since for them this represents ‘modernism’ and the future. Pakistan is a young country and the contribution of a new generation of architects and planners has been inspired by the west, in the post-modern traditions, and not informed by the local cultural, social and physical aspects of the society. Karachi, within Pakistan, has recently seen the construction of a number of buildings and urban design projects that conform to the international concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation, and are a response to the desire of politicians to create a global image for the city. Using the Urdu word maqamiat in relation to the built form, this research assesses what it means for a city to be local in the context of Karachi, being specific, having particular variables impacting the built form, but dealing with similar issues of identity crises as other formally colonized nations. A combination of deductive and inductive research approach that arches over mixed methods is used, in order to reveal the nature and value of maqamiat of built form. Semi structured interviews, focus groups, urban morphological documentation, archive review and personal observation methods have been used for data collecting. Content, narrative and focus group analyses are used to interpret data. The major conclusions point towards the meaning of space, as perceived by communities, is not always bound by physical form. The social attachment and usage of certain types of local spaces cannot be translated, either physically or linguistically, into other languages, and through the influence of foreign imported design language, significant aspect of maqamiat is lost in newer developments. The research postulates lessons from its study of local processes of built form production, the value given to local places by indigenous communities and the impact of global forces through imageability, aesthetics and style. The research identifies that urban anthropologists are better positioned to understand and explain maqamiat because of their cross-disciplinary approach to analysing the society, as compared to urban theorists. The research also identifies unique urban morphologies within the context, which point towards the requirement to develop research and literature related to the local and global interactions and the emerging built form typologies. The research findings can feed into the design profession through policy aimed towards ‘responsive’ urban design.

Abstract:
La complexité de la tâche d'un opérateur humain et la variabilité de sa charge de travail, dans un système homme machine, peuvent le conduire à commettre des erreurs aux conséquences graves. Aussi, l'impossibilité de les éliminer dans leur totalité rend nécessaire la présence d'une interface tolérante à ces erreurs, capable d'empêcher leurs conséquences sur le système homme-machine. Le thème de cette recherche consiste donc à analyser le comportement de l'opérateur humain en surcharge mentale ou face à une dégradation plus ou moins importante des informations d'un procédé simule simple de réglage de température d'eau. L’analyse du comportement des quarante-quatre sujets testés a permis par la suite l'extraction de règles générales à introduire dans la spécification de l'interface tolérante aux erreurs humaines. La modélisation de l'opérateur humain qui constitue une étape importante vers la conception de cette interface a été écrite en logique floue. Cette interface est composée de différents modules tels que la classification de l'action de l'opérateur, la résolution de l'action, et des modèles de l'opérateur humain et du procédé. La validation de la structure d'interface proposée tout comme les résultats de l'analyse des comportements des opérateurs humains ont permis d'énoncer des recommandations générales pour la conduite assistée de procédés.

In the financial liberalization and internationalization title shot, the changing banking environment reform, making the overall environment is full of opportunities and threats, the soundness of the financial system at stake whether the economic and social stability and development. After 80 years of Republican government opened 15 private banks established in Taiwan's financial industry to flourish kill exhibition. The face of major changes in the overall domestic financial ecology in recent years, Vietnam's economic development and investment environment in the Asia-Pacific region and even favored by investors, Taiwan-funded banks turning Vietnam and other Southeast Asian region to find a second production base. Therefore, Taiwan-funded banks have to follow the footsteps of the layout of the Asian markets of Taiwan to explore business opportunities, enhance the profitability of the bank the opportunity to spread business risk, and expand international competitiveness. So, how to analyze the bank's competitive advantages and disadvantages, and choose the best business strategy, seeking the best performance, is an important issue to be faced by the banks. Formulating competitive strategy, we must first understand the relative efficiency of all banks. What factors will affect its operating efficiency? Therefore, this study intends to cut from an efficiency point of view , mining data envelopment analysis (DEA) as analytical tools , in addition to the information envelope basic concept analysis , the model evolution and use of procedures such as first be described clarified , but be positive and two Taiwan public-funded banks and four IPO banks in Vietnam for the study, collected from 2006 to 2013 financial information, etc., for efficiency analysis, slack variable analysis , sensitivity analysis, changes in total factor productivity analysis, in order to observe these six banks long-term changes in the relative efficiency of operations . The study found that the efficiency of the performance of the bank 's capital after the capital increase before the superior efficiency performance ; Taiwanese banks outperformed the more efficient banks ; changes in technical efficiency of the first bank branch in Ho Chi Minh City, the changes showed a growing trend in production technology , changes in total factor productivity greatest growth . This article shall be first and the more domestic-owned banks operating performance appraisals for Vietnam Taiwan-funded empirical thesis, the time series data converted into panel data, changes in total factor productivity conduct dynamic analysis, which is also the study unique.
