Abstract:
Objective: The electroencephalogram (EEG) has been widely used in AD/HD research. The current study firstly aimed to replicate a recent trend related to EEG theta/beta ratio (TBR) in children and adolescents. Also, the study aimed to examine the value of resting EEG activity as biomarkers for executive function (EF) in participants with AD/HD. Method: Fifty-three participants with AD/HD and 37 healthy controls were recruited. Resting EEG was recorded with eyes closed. Participants with AD/HD additionally completed EF tasks via the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery. Results: TBR did not differ between groups; however, TBR was positively correlated with inattentive symptoms in AD/HD. Other correlations were found between EEG activity and neuropsychological functions including spatial planning and decision making in the AD/HD group. Conclusion: The results do not support the diagnostic value of TBR. Instead, given the heterogeneous features, the results support the prognostic value of EEG in AD/HD.

Abstract:

In this work, I have studied whether if one can detect AD / HD in preschool. I have read some literature and searched on the Internet. I have also tried to get to interview people who are familiar with this topic, which has not been easy. I have questioned 13 persons if they would participate in an interview, but most have refused because they do not have time. I succeeded anyhow to get three persons, two special educators and a nurse on the BVC. Special Student teachers are working to put the various educational activities in the preschool / school when children are in need of assistance. Children nurse is working with children to look up at the controls as they come in and where they can see if there is something not as it should. The answer I came up with through the literature and interviews is that AD / HD is a neuro-psychiatric disability and is logically divided into three groups that they have to Impulsivity problems, over activity and attention problems. Special Student teachers tell of the symptoms / signs of AD / HD as the first notice are that the children with AD / HD have problems in concentrating in a task. What distinguishes boys from girls is that boys are more hyperactive and ports in more trouble than girls do. Girls are more reclusive and shy and have been easier to become depressed and anxious. It is difficult to detect AD / HD in preschool unless the kids have severe problems with attention, impulsivity and over activity

 I also got answer to that one can detect AD / HD if you're looking for it, but it’s not the essential, the important is to support children with AD / HD in the learning and development. Special Student teachers talked a lot of work how to help children in preschool with various educational activities such as solid framework, transparency and daily schedules. They can also work in small groups but that is not always suitable for all children. Then we can bring the children who have problems at the front near the teacher in order to give praise and jacking.

Abstract:

 

Flickor med AD/HD upptäcks ofta inte i tid vilket kan ge konsekvenser inom flera områden under uppväxten. Syftet med denna uppsats var att bidra till en ökad förståelse kring hur diagnosen AD/HD kan påverka livet under uppväxten för flickor. Sex vuxna kvinnor med AD/HD intervjuades för denna studies syfte. Studien grundade sig i kvalitativ metod med hjälp av fenomenologisk tolkning samt meningskoncentrering vid sammanställning och analys av intervjumaterialet. Undersökningen fokuserade på sex centrala teman; diagnosens betydelse, skola, fritid, familjen, jämnåriga relationer och självuppfattning. Resultatet förtydligade att dessa centrala teman är betydelsefulla områden för en flicka med AD/HD under uppväxten. Ett fastställande av diagnosen AD/HD spelar en central roll gällande förståelse och hjälp från omgivningen. Studien visade på att flickor med AD/HD har vissa svårigheter i relationer till lärare, jämnåriga samt familj under uppväxten. För majoriteten av respondenterna har mamman varit det viktigaste stödet under uppväxten. Det har framkommit att familj och lärare har svårt att förstå samt att hantera flickor med AD/HD. Flickor med AD/HD har olika grad av svårigheter och tillgångar i skolarbetet samt i vardagen. I studien framgick det att undervisningsformen har betydelse för en flicka med AD/HD. Självuppfattningen hos en flicka med AD/HD kan påverkas av samhällets syn på hur en flicka ska vara. I studien framgick det tydligt att flertalet av respondenterna upplevt sig som en pojkflicka under uppväxten. Studien visade även på förekomst av psykisk ohälsa hos flickor med AD/HD under uppväxten.

Abstract:
Syftet med studien var att analysera lärares synsätt på AD/HD. Studien bygger på sju intervjuer med lärare som arbetar i grundskolan. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna för denna studie var tre specialpedagogiska perspektiv - traditionellt, alternativt samt ett tredje perspektiv.Studien visar att lärarna är positiva till att diagnosen ställs då de menar att diagnosen är nyckeln till att få extra resurser inom skolan. Det framkommer i studien att de medicinsk/biologiska orsaksförklarningarna betonas och att den omgivande miljön påverkar. För att hjälpa barn med AD/HD i skolan menar lärarna att man bör se till den pedagogiska miljön, man skall anpassa undervisningen samt ge barnet de extra resurser som barnet behöver. Slutsatsen är bland annat att lärarna tenderar att vara mer orienterade mot det traditionella perspektivet som betonar individbundna brister. Men det går inte att utesluta att lärarna i vissa avseenden även överensstämmer med vad det alternativa perspektivet samt det tredje perspektivet står för.

Abstract:
Syftet med denna studie är att lyfta fram problematiken kring flickor med ADHD diagnos. Att utforska hur dessa kan upptäckas samt vilka tillvägagångssätt man kan använda sig som pedagog för att ge dem det stöd och hjälp de behöver. För att kunna belysa frågorna kring detta ämne genomfördes tre intervjuer med tre verksamma specialpedagoger. Intervjuerna tolkades med hjälp av kvalitativ metodik. Resultatet beskriver specialpedagogers syn på flickor med ADHD diagnos i skolan samt lyfter fram vilka metoder specialpedagoger använder sig utav för att ge dessa flickor det stöd de behöver. I resultatet framkommer att det inte är särskilt ovanligt att större delen av flickor med ADHD aldrig får någon diagnos. Forskningen inom ämnet är ännu otillräcklig. Lärare behöver mer kunskap för att kunna bistå flickorna och ge dem en bättre framtid. Det framkommer av resultatet att flickor med ADHD är svåra att upptäcka och att dessa behöver hjälp för att kunna utvecklas.

Abstract:
Bakgrund: AD/HD innebär en funktionsnedsättning med kärnsymptom som ouppmärksamhet, hyperaktivitet och impulsivitet. Personer med AD/HD har också ofta problem med känsloreglering. Intensiv dynamisk korttidsterapi (ISTDP) syftar till att hjälpa patienter till ökad förmåga att uppleva komplexa känslor genom att medvetandegöra dem. Terapiformens utgångspunkt är att många patienters problem skapas av känslomässigt undvikande och den betonar värdet av upplevelse av känslor i terapirummet. Studien syftade till att undersöka effekten av ISTDP på symtomen hos patienter med AD/HD som ett komplement till sedvanlig medicinbehandling. Frågan var om behandling riktad mot känsloreglering påverkar den globala symptombilden för personer med AD/HD. Metod: Studien är en naturalistisk pilotstudie med sex patienter som fick 10 sessioners behandling med ISTDP. Utfallsmåtten var Inventory of Interpersonal Problems, Adult ADHD Self Report Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory och Patient Health Questionnaire-9. Primärt utfallsmått var Adult ADHD Self Report Scale. Patientens problem mättes vid 4 tillfällen, vid första, fjärde, sjunde och sista veckan av behandlingen. Resultat: Patienterna förbättrades signifikant på Inventory of Interpersonal Problems och Adult ADHD Self Report Scale och på Beck Anxiety Inventory. Det fanns dock en stor variation inom gruppen. Vissa patienter förbättrades tydligt, andra förblev oförändrade och någon försämrades. Slutsatser: ISTDP som ett komplement till sedvanlig medicinbehandling och kan hjälpa vissa personer med AD/HD att fungera bättre interpersonellt. Det fanns också tecken på minskning av symptomen på AD/HD samt visar tendenser till reducerad ångest. Ingen följsamhetskattning till ISTDP gjordes. Detta samt det låga deltagarantalet och avsaknaden av kontrollgrupp gör att det är svårt att generalisera resultaten. De ska snarare ses som indikationer på vikten av ytterligare forskning.

Abstract:

Enligt Socialstyrelsen (2004) förekommer diagnosen AD/HD hos 3-6 % av alla barn i grundskolan. Av dessa är 2/3 killar. Det finns olika teorier om vad som orsakar diagnosen, ärftlighet är en vanlig teori. Symtomen hos personer med diagnosen är väldigt olika. Överaktivitet är den vanligaste men även underaktivitet förekommer.

Litteraturens roll i läroplanerna har ändrats under åren. Fram till folkskolans inträde år 1842 var kyrkans inflytande total. Litteraturens betydelse har sedan varierat i läroplanerna, men i Lgr-80 får den en central roll. Enlig den senaste läroplanen, Lpo-94 menar man att läskunnighet är en förutsättning för att aktivt kunna delta i samhället.

Mitt mål med detta arbete är dels att sammanfatta vad AD/HD är och dels försöka ta reda på vilken uppfattning elever med diagnosen har kring diagnosen och litteratundervisningen i skolan. Därför har jag valt att utgå från ett elevperspektiv och jag har genomfört sex intervjuer med elever som har diagnosen AD/HD.

Av resultatet i min studie framgick det att eleverna anser att orsakerna till AD/HD kan vara flera, men ärftlighet betonas mest och fem av sex tillfrågade poängterar detta. Fem av sex angav även att de tyckte det var skönt att de fått diagnosen och att det hjälpt dem. De flesta eleverna tänker på böcker när de hör ordet litteratur men de nämner även tidningar, datorn, telefonen, spel och reklam. De uppger även att de har nytta av litteraturundervisningen. De blir glada av att läsa något de verkligen tycker om och de poängterar vikten av att litteraturen måste intressera dem. Eleverna nämner olika typer av stöd som de får i samband med litteraturundervisningen. Stöd som nämns är till exempel att det finns böcker av olika svårighetsgrad och olika tekniska hjälpmedel. De upplever dock att det finns för få böcker och att de ibland får för lite hjälp på lektionerna.

Abstract:
Background: Neurodegenerative diseases share progressive loss of neurons and protein misfolding, which ultimately culminates in dementia; many diseases have been identified as causes of early-onset dementia (< 65 years of age) such as Huntington’s disease (HD) and early-onset Alzheimer’s disease (EOAD). Importantly, disease-specific genetic mutations have already been identified for HD and EOAD. Thus, one could suggest that the molecular link between these diseases may arise from alterations at the transcriptomic level, which is yet to be determined. Objective: We aimed at identifying transcriptome similarities between HD and EOAD. Methods: We collected data of the postmortem cerebral cortex from 1 HD and 6 AD microarray studies in the Gene Expression Omnibus. Of note, only subjects with age at death under 65 were selected (HD: n = 158, controls: n = 158; EOAD: n = 65, controls: n = 266). Differential expression and functional enrichment analyses were performed. Results: We identified 1,260 differentially expressed genes and 675 enriched gene ontology terms between HD and EOAD. Conclusion: Our results demonstrate a transcriptomic signature shared by HD and EOAD. Unveiling the similarities between these diseases at the transcriptomic level could advance our knowledge about pathogenesis and may help to develop therapeutic strategies targeting early-onset dementias.

It enables the acquisition of knowledge in cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS), which ultimately increases the integrity and accuracy of road environmental data and thereby improves the efficiency, safety and comfort of the traffic system. Moreover, many cloud services and applications, such as self-healing HD Maps, demand massive information sharing by means of vehicle-to-X (V2X) communications. In this paper, we review two existing frameworks for information sharing in C-ITS, which are open, standardized and commonly accepted: SENSORIS primarily targets at data sharing with and among clouds, specifically for digital maps. V2X-Messaging focuses on road safety and traffic efficiency based on ad hoc communications among C-ITS-Stations (C-ITS-S), including vehicles, the roadside infrastructure and backends. Then, we analyze both frameworks considering various technical criteria and involved use cases. Finally, we propose a hybrid software architecture that combines both information sharing approaches and facilitates interworking between SENSORIS and V2X-Messaging in order to enhance C-ITS application.
