Fontaine, Fanny. "Etude de la synthèse et recherche des propriétés biologiques de nouveaux acides et esters pyridinylboroniques." Caen, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012CAEN4078.
Full textThe present study describes the synthesis and the screening of the biological properties of new pyridninylboronic acids and esters. The first part sets back this work in its chemical and biological context. After a reminder of the main synthetic routes to boronic acids and esters, mostly in the heterocyclic series, the different biological properties of organoboron compounds are developed. The diversity of the depicted activities (as insecticidal, antifungal, antibacterial, antiparasitic or protease inhibitors…) reveals all the medicinal interest of these derivatives. Following the implementation of the structure-activity relationships stemming from the antibacterial screening, the second of this manuscript is devoted to the hit-to-lead chemistry personal work and describes the synthesis of substituted pyridinylboronic acids and esters via lithiation reactions. A small chemical library was thus achieved and its biological evaluation lead to the identification of two new hit derivatives that pave the way for future work. The chemical part also describes the implementation of a synthetic route to 1-hydroxy-3H-oxaborolo[4,3-b]pyridines, a new chemical family that will further be evaluated for their biological properties. Finally, experimental procedures and analytical data allowing the synthesis and identification of all compounds are included in an experimental section
Besse, Vincent. "Recherche de nouveaux polymères pour une application dans des matériaux dentaires stables et durables : ynthèse, polymérisation et propriétés adhésives." Caen, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011CAEN2097.
Full textThis work deals with the synthesis, the photopolymerization and the adhesive properties of new acidic monomers for dental applications. In self-etch adhesive field: In order to improve self-etch adhesives (SEA) stability, durability and adhesive properties, novel hydrolytically stable phosphonic, difluoromethylphosphonic and bisphosphonic acids have been synthesized. The influence of various parameters (length of the spacer group, nature of the acidic group, and polymerizable extremity etc…) on dentin and enamel adhesion and on stability has been developped. Their photopolymerization with the N, N’ -diéthyl-1,3-bisacrylamidopropane (DEBAAP) has been highlighted. The impact of the acidic function on adhesive properties and chelation to hydroxyapatite has been studied via solid NMR, XPS or ICP-AES. Some of the SEA we have formulated are more efficient than the commercial ones. In self-adhesive cements field: Novel methacrylates bearing phosphonic acid functions have been prepared. Their incorporation in various proportions to a bisGMA/TEGDMA mixture has been studied. The copolymerization of these formulations has been studied by photo-DSC. Incorporation of these monomers results in an inhibition of the mixture polymerization due to the phosphonic function. Then the setup of a new self-adhesive cements has been successfully described

Full textLignin is the most abundant component of wood after cellulose and is separated from whilepaper production. Within this lingo-cellulosic biomass, in case of graminous, ferulic acid is a crosslinkingagent binding lignin to polysaccharide fibers to increase its mechanical properties. If lignin iscomplex and poorly degradable, ferulic acid, as it is present free, is extractible in alkali media frommany resources (beetroot pulp, wheat, corn, rice...).By its aromatic nature, this p-hydroxycinnamic acid seems interesting to prepare new polymersincorporating biobased aromatic units. Indeed, if biobased polymers are more and more nowadays, today biobased aromatic units are still missing. In this aim, into the APSYNTH team, we developed a new class of biobased bisphenols obtainedthrough enzymatic catalysis. These bisphenols were then implicated in different strategies to developnew copolyesters, polyurethanes and polyphenolic oligomers. This work describes the synthesis andcharacterization of this new bisphenols derived from ferulic acid, as well as the resulting polymers

Full textThe aim of this thesis was to evaluate the potential for prebiotic chemistry of the conditions prevailing in the vicinity of black smoker-type hydrothermal vents, which are deep sea environments rich in H2S and transition metal sulfides. We have studied and disclosed a complex pathway, which could be involved in the first steps of life on earth, by means of laboratory simulation experiments involving the constituents of the fluids emitted at these vents, CO, H2S, NiS and NH4+, some simple raw materials and prebiotic plausible compounds. The abiotic synthetic process elucidated in this thesis leads to organic compounds of prebiotic interest comprising mono or bi-functionalized molecules, potentially with any chain length, such as thiols, alkyl sulfides, aldehydes, ketones, thioesters, thioacids, dithioacetals, alpha-sulfido carboxylic acid derivatives, amino acids with various alkyl chains and carboxylic acids with linear or branched chains. Besides, the highlighted synthesis of n-carboxylic acids containing up to four carbon atoms opens a pathway for the prebiotic formation of linear lipidic amphiphilic compounds, which are potential precursors of membrane constituents. On the basis of experiments involving organic compounds with key chemical functionalities, in addition to CO, H2S, NiS and NH4+, we suggest an iterative mechanism based on homogeneous catalysis with nickel carbonyl complexes. The crucial step of the disclosed synthetic process leads to the abiotic C-C bond formation, via the insertion of CO in C-S bonds. Aldehydes and ketones are the key intermediates of this pathway
