Abstract:
A suitable imaging condition is critical for the success of seismic imaging or source location. To understand what imaging condition to select for handling noisy data, the antinoise performance of the maximum amplitude imaging condition (MAIC), the autocorrelation imaging condition (ACIC), and the geometric mean imaging condition (GMIC) were comparatively studied. Synthetic microseismic data based on the Marmousi2 model, with different levels of synthetic Gaussian noise and field noise separately added, were used for tests. For Gaussian noise data, five signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio levels were considered, ranging from an absolutely clean level of [Formula: see text] to an extremely noisy level of [Formula: see text], in an increment of five times of the lower level of S/N. It was found that the antinoise ability of MAIC outperforms ACIC, and ACIC outperforms GMIC. This conclusion was confirmed to be valid for field noise in the further experiments performed, using 16 groups of industrial noise recordings from different areas. The statistical analysis shows these performance differences are statistically consistently significant. In terms of spatial resolution, it is the other way around; that is, GMIC outperforms ACIC, and ACIC outperforms MAIC. These suggest that in choosing a suitable imaging condition for time-reverse imaging location, one needs to consider the balance between the resolution demand and data quality requirement. If the data quality is very high, GMIC may be used to achieve a high-resolution location result. Conversely, if the data quality is poor, MAIC is a good choice for obtaining a robust location result. In between, ACIC or grouped GMIC is a proper approach to work out a balanced result for resolution demand and the noisy level provision.

Abstract:
Anthracyclines are effectively used in many therapeutic regimens for breast cancer (BC). However, the dose-dependent cardiotoxic effect causes certain limitations on their use. Laboratory tests for risk prediction and early diagnosis of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity (ACIC) based on measuring the activity and concentration of topoisomerase 2β, the levels of troponins T and I (TnT и TnI), N-terminal fragment of brain natriuretic peptide progenitor, remain relevant, but complicate the risk stratification with low specificity. Recently, the number of works devoted to the study of new biomarkers ACIC has been growing: galectin-3, soluble ST-2 (sST-2), and myeloperoxidase (MPO). In this review we analyzed current understanding of the classical markers ACIC and the results of recent studies dedicated to new predictors.

Abstract:
Purpose: the aim of this study is to report the clinical and imaging results recorded by a series of patients in whom osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLTs) were repaired using the autologous collagen-induced chondrogenesis (ACIC) technique with a completely arthroscopic approach. Methods: nine patients (mean age 37.4±10 years) affected by OLTs (lesion size 2.1±0.9 cm2) were treated with the ACIC technique. The patients were evaluated clinically both preoperatively and at 12 months after surgery using the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Ankle-Hindfoot Scale (AOFAS) and a visual analog scale (VAS). For morphological evaluation, the magnetic resonance observation of cartilage repair tissue (MOCART) score was used. Results: the AOFAS score improved from 51.4±11.6 preoperatively to 71.8±20.6 postoperatively, while the VAS value decreased from 6.9±1.8 to 3.2±1.9. The mean MOCART score was 51.7±16.6 at 12 months of follow-up; these scores did not directly correlate with the clinical results. Conclusions: use of the ACIC technique for arthroscopic repair of OLTs allowed satisfactory clinical results to be obtained in most of the patients as soon as one year after surgery, with no major complications or delayed revision surgery. ACIC is a valid and lowinvasive surgical technique for the treatment of chondral and osteochondral defects of the talus. Level of evidence: therapeutic case series, level IV.

Abstract:
Multimorbidity, the coexistence of several chronic conditions in a patient, represents a great challenge for healthcare systems and society. The Integrated Multimorbidity Care Model (IMCM) was recently designed within the Joint Action on chronic diseases and promoting healthy ageing across the life cycle (CHRODIS) to ensure the continuity of care for patients with multimorbidity. The IMCM was implemented in five European pilot sites in Spain, Italy, and Lithuania, within the Joint Action CHRODIS-PLUS. The effect of these pilot interventions was assessed pre- and post-implementation by 17 healthcare managers, using the Assessment of Chronic Illness Care (ACIC) measure, and by 226 patients with the Patient Assessment of Care for Chronic Conditions (PACIC+) survey. The ACIC total score significantly increased (5.23 to 6.71, p = 0.022) after the intervention, with differences across sites. A significant increase in the PACIC+ summary score was found ranging from 3.25 at baseline to 4.03 after the intervention (p < 0.001), and 58% of the sample perceived an improvement in care. Higher PACIC+ scores after the intervention were associated to lower baseline values in the respective PACIC+ dimension and to greater changes in ACIC Part 1 (delivery system organization). The IMCM implementation can help improve the quality of care for patients with multimorbidity.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to evaluate a series of patients with osteochondral lesions who underwent a microfractures treatment and autologous collagen-induced chondrogenesis technique (ACIC). Methods: Microfracture treatment and ACIC was performed in eight patients with grade IV cartilage lesion of more than 3 cm2 long. Two patients were discarded due to short follow-up. Four women and two men were evaluated with 50 year-old mean age. The average follow-up was 12.5 months. An associated valgus osteotomy was performed in two patients. Patients were evaluated using the Lysholm score and IKDC. Radiographs were evaluated and a Magnetic Resonance (MRI) was performed in 3 patients. Results: Six patients were evaluated with a 1 B, 2 C and 3 D arthrosis grade according to IKDC classification. Atelocollagen was placed in the medial femoral condyle in four patients (2 associated to tibial valgus osteotomy), in the trochlea in one patient and in both in one patient. Pre and post operative average score IKDC was 38/58 and Lysholm 34/89. One case of postoperative artrofibrosis was registered which was mobilized under anesthesia with satisfactory results. The MRI showed signal with coverage of the chondral defect in more than 70%. There were no cases of infection or reactive synovitis. Conclusion: Atelocollagen combined with microfractures improved the clinical conditions in patients with articular cartilage lesions of the knee. It is necessary more patients and longer follow-up to verify this data.

AbstractThe character-state distribution of various external and internal pro- and mesothoracic structures of Hymenoptera is described. Structures discussed are the transscutal articulation, axillae, notauli, median mesoscutal sulcus, parapsidal lines, pronotal lobe, postspiracular sclerite, prepectus, netrion, epicnemium, basalare, pronotal-mesothor-acic attachment mechanism, and 2 mesothoracic muscles, viz. mesotrochanteral depressor and second-phragmal flexor. Ancestral state and transformation of the characters are hypothesized, and shared derived states of higher taxa are determined. Hypotheses of synapomorphy are based on the shared derived states, and these hypotheses used to test previous hypotheses of relationship and classification. Relationships of Symphyta to Apocrita and of Aculeata to Terebrantes are discussed, and various aspects of classification of Symphyta and Terebrantes are examined. Finally, prior use of terms is reviewed for the thoracic structures studied. A single set of terms is selected for use throughout the order based on original use of each term and on hypotheses of homology.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract Australian governments, academia, and law enforcement agencies have recognized the need to improve intelligence capabilities in order to adapt to the increasingly complex criminal and security environments. In response, the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC), the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and other Australian policing agencies have adopted several reform measures to improve intelligence capability support. While some have focused on developing specific criminal intelligence doctrine, others have sought to improve more challenging aspects of intelligence capability such as analytical and field collection workforce planning. The complexity of the current and emerging criminal environment and a growing professionalization of policing practice more broadly has resulted in a uniquely new strategic approach to developing the analytical and field collection workforce. This article surveys the development of an Australian Criminal Intel Training and Development Continuum (CITDC). The continuum is an end-to-end continuing professional development framework for criminal intelligence analysts and field intelligence officers that monitor proficiency, competence, and knowledge achievement through pre-entry aptitude testing, rigorous class room, and workplace mentoring. The continuum is designed at the post-graduate level and articulates with Charles Sturt University’s MA (Intelligence Analysis). The article argues that both the philosophy of rigorous standards and the learning underpinning the continuum are having demonstrable and positive outcomes for intelligence practitioners and the investigative workforce they support.

Abstract:
Collaboration is an approach and concept of managing public policy in Makassar, Indonesia. Recently, the municipality of Makassar has capitalized on the collaboration of local government agencies regarding public affairs to prevent issues of Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH). ARH is a strategic issue for local government so that it is solved collaboratively. The collaborating governmental organization comprises the Department of Education, Health, Family Planning, and all of the Urban Villages. This research employed a qualitative method focusing on the analysis of collaborative phenomena of local government agencies in Generation Planning Program through Adolescent Counseling Information Center (ACIC) and Adolescent Families Development (AFD) in Makassar. Data were obtained and analyzed in an orderly and structured manner with general qualitative approach. Based on the field research, the local government agencies collaborate in two ways. The first collaboration deals with the sectoral term which is the involvement of the government agencies related to adolescent reproductive health policy. The second collaboration deals with the regional term including the involvement of the Sub-District and Urban Villages in Makassar as grassroots bureaucracy. Collaborative themes and relations are the main findings in this article. An interesting theme in the idea of collaboration is mutual interdependence, while an exciting theme in the implementation of collaborative action is joint interaction. Organizational relationships in collaboration between local government agencies are coordination, consolidation, consultation, and command. This study concluded that sectoral and regional collaboration is proper in bringing a solution to public health affairs that are very complex.

Abstract:
In this paper, we present a novel solution to detect forgery and fabrication in passports and visas using cryptography and QR codes. The solution requires that the passport and visa issuing authorities obtain a cryptographic key pair and publish their public key on their website. Further they are required to encrypt the passport or visa information with their private key, encode the ciphertext in a QR code and print it on the passport or visa they issue to the applicant. The issuing authorities are also required to create a mobile or desktop QR code scanning app and place it for download on their website or Google Play Store and iPhone App Store. Any individual or immigration uthority that needs to check the passport or visa for forgery and fabrication can scan its QR code, which will decrypt the ciphertext encoded in the QR code using the public key stored in the app memory and displays the passport or visa information on the app screen. The details on the app screen can be compared with the actual details printed on the passport or visa. Any mismatch between the two is a clear indication of forgery or fabrication. Discussed the need for a universal desktop and mobile app that can be used by immigration authorities and consulates all over the world to enable fast checking of passports and visas at ports of entry for forgery and fabrication
