& Gerd.) Abstract:
Studies of soil samples from an apple orchard in Frelighsburg revealed the presence of seven species of Endogonaceae, six of which generated vesicular and arbuscular mycorrhizae on Tagetes erecta L. While Glomus constrictum Trappe, Glomus mosseae (Nicol. & Gerd.) Gerd. & Trappe, and Sclerocystis rubiformis Gerd. & Trappe made up more than 90% of the organisms observed, Gigaspora calospora (Nicol. & Gerd.) Gerd. & Trappe, Glomus aggregatum Schenck & Smith, and Glomus etunicatum were seen in approximately half of the samples. An enumeration of the Endogonaceae observed is followed herein by a discussion dealing with the frequency and the relative abundance of these species in the soil and with the practical interest which arises from this type of survey.

Nastopka, Kęstutis. "La sémiotique poétique de Gytis Norvilas." Semiotika 12 (December 22, 2016): 55–69. http://dx.doi.org/10.15388/semiotika.2016.16735.

Full text
Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract Grapevine seedlings (Vitis berlandieri Planch. × Vitis riparia Michx., 420 A) were inoculated with the mycorrhizal fungi Glomus caledonium (Nicol. & Gerd.) Trappe & Gerd., G. fasciculatum (Thaxter sensu Gerd.) Gerd. & Trappe, G. monosporum Gerd. & Trappe, G. occultum Walker, and Glomus sp. E3 in three sterile soils. G. monosporum and G. occultum were the most infective endophytes. G. monosporum, G. occultum, and Glomus sp. E3 increased shoot dry weight and, to a lesser extent, root length. Some of the efficient symbionts in pot culture were not naturally present in the experimental soils. Significant growth responses could be observed also with endophytes inoculated at low concentration.

Abstract:
Apple plants, cultivar Novole, were either uninoculated (control) or inoculated with one of the following mycorrhizal fungi: Glomus macrocarpum Tul. and Tul., Glomus intraradices Schenk and Smith, Glomus fasciculatum (Thaxter sensu Gerd.) Gerd. and Trappe, Glomus mosseae (Nicol. and Gerd.) Ger. and Trappe, or Glomus epigaeum Daniels and Trappe. Groups of plants were harvested of three successive intervals. Glomus intraradices and G. epigaeum caused most rapid and highest levels of root infection, and increased P uptake compared with plants which were inoculated with the other fungi, or were uninoculated. Plants inoculated with G. intraradices and G. epigaeum had greatest dry weights.Key words: Glomus macrocarpum, Glomus intraradices, Glomus fasciculatum, Glomus mosseae, Glomus epigaeum, phosphorus

Culturing was done under green house and studied were performed ninety days after inoculation. All fungi showed favorable effects, with S. calospora being the most promoting of all biochemical parameters.
