Abstract:
Anaphylactic shock is a severe life-threatening condition caused by medicines, food, hymenoptera, animal poisons, etc. Therefore, anaphylactic shock (anaphylaxis) can develop both in medical institution and outside it, and physicians of any specialties should be ready to treat this condition. In this regard, clinical guidelines for anaphylactic shock have been developed. These recommendations were approved by the Russian Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (Protocol No. 743/12 dated December 30, 2020) and the Federation of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators (Protocol No. 1 dated January 13, 2021), approved at a meeting of the Scientific and Practical Council of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Protocol No. 743/12 dated December 10, 2020). Guidelines covered a number of nosologies corresponding to codes of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems: T 78.0; T 78.2; T 80.5; T 88.6. The clinical guidelines systematize modern data on etiology, epidemiology, classification, clinical picture, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of anaphylactic shock. In addition, an algorithm for managing a patient with anaphylactic shock has been developed. Clinical guidelines for anaphylactic shock are intended for practitioners of all specialties, students, and teachers of medical universities, residents, and graduate students.

Abstract:
The goal was to study the phenotypic manifestations of c.3844T>C (p.Trp1282Arg, W1282R) variant, a CF-causing mutation, in patients from the Russian Federation. Clinical manifestations and complications (the age at CF diagnosis, sweat test, pancreatic status, lung function, microbial infection, body mass index (BMI), the presence of meconium ileus (MI), diabetes, and severe liver disease) were compared in four groups: group 1—patients carrying c.3844T>C and severe class I or II variant in trans; group 2—3849+10kbC>T/F508del patients; group 3—F508del/F508del patients; and group 4—patients with W1282R and “mild” variant in trans. Based on the analyses, W1282R with class I or II variant in trans appears to cause at least as severe CF symptoms as F508del homozygotes as reflected in the early age of diagnosis, high sweat chloride concentration, insufficient pancreatic function, and low lung function, in contrast to 3849+10kbC-T/F508del compound heterozygotes having milder clinical phenotypes. The W1282R pathogenic variant is seemed to lead to severe disease phenotype with pancreatic insufficiency similarly to the F508del homozygous genotype.

Abstract:
Aim. The article deals with justifying theoretically and describing the authors’ methods of mental health maintenance in teachers experiencing emotional stress. Materials and methods. The proposed methods of mental health maintenance in teachers are based on the ideas of psychosomatics (S. Freud and I. Malkina-Pykh) and non-directive psychotherapy (C. Rogers). Three groups of methods have been described: self-analysis of a current life situation, energy recovery in teachers, and self-regulation of emotions in group interaction. Results. The authors studied neuro-psychological stress in teachers using Nemchin’s method. At the summative stage of the experiment, it was established that 56% of teachers experienced high neuro-psychological stress, and 26% – average. In 2018, the methods described were implemented at one of the comprehensive schools of the Russian Federation. The results of control diagnostics demonstrate a significant decrease in neuro-psychological stress in teachers who implemented these methods of mental health maintenance. This proves the effectiveness of the solutions proposed. Conclusion. This article contributes to the theoretical data on mental health maintenance in modern teachers. The scientific novelty and practical importance of this study are connected with the developed methods of mental health maintenance in teachers. The methods proposed can be used in practice for improving teachers’ expertise both in Russia and abroad.

Abstract:
The steady growth trend of oncological diseases in Russia in recent years requires a response from the health care system: development of prevention aimed at early detection of diseases; improvement of methods of diagnostics and treatment of oncopathology; improving the quality and effectiveness of medical care. A i m : to identify trends in changes of the neoplasms incidence and performance indicators of oncological beds for round-the-clock stay of the state health care system in the Russian Federation, federal districts and regions of the Russian Federation in dynamics for 2010–2019. M a t e r i a l s a n d m e t h o d s . Using the data of federal statistical observation (forms NoNo. 12, 30) by the method of descriptive statistics, the main indicators of the neoplasms incidence in the population are analyzed, as well as the work of round-the-clock oncological beds in the Russian Federation, federal districts and regions of the Russian Federation in dynamics for 2010–2019. R e s u l t s . On the background of an increase in the neoplasms incidence in the population (by 24.9%), including malignant (1.5 times), for the period 2010–2019 in the Russian Federation increased: the absolute number of oncology beds of round-the-clock stay from 30,970 to 36,186 (+ 16.8%), the provision with these beds from 2.17 to 2.47 per 10,000 population (+ 13.8%), hospitalization rate from 6.1 to 9.6 per 1000 population (+ 57.4%), and decreased: the average length of stay in an oncological bed (from 12.1 days to 8.4 – by 30.6%), as well as the average bed occupancy per year (from 345 to 330 days – by 4.3%). The extreme values of the indicators of the hospitalization rate for round-the-clock oncological beds in the regions of the Russian Federation in 2019 differ 12.8 times, the provision of these beds – 9.2 times, the average bed occupancy per year – 1.5 times, the average length of stay in a bed – 2.4 times. Mortality in oncological hospital beds increased from 0.76% in 2010 to 0.95% in 2019 (by 25%). C o n c l u s i o n . The 24-hour oncological bed capacity, against the background of the growth of oncological morbidity, has naturally increased, but at the same time it is characterized by an extreme disproportionality of development in the Federal Districts and the regions of the Russian Federation. Optimization of the bed fund should be carried out based on the objective needs of a particular region, taking into account its characteristics and with the simultaneous development of alternative medical services.

Abstract:
Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD, Polycystic kidney disease 4 with or without hepatic disease, MIM 263200) is a severe genetic disorder with variable clinical spectrum. It is an important cause of renal-related and liver-related morbidity and mortality. ARPKD is caused by mutations in the PKHD1 gene which was mapped to chromosome 6p21-p12. A 67-exon transcript encodes one of the lon- gest continuous open reading frame. Protein polyductin is synthesized from this transcript. Mutations were found to be scattered through- out the gene without evidence of clustering. Searching for mutations is time-consuming and costly. We identified new variant c.9071G>A (р.Cys3024Tyr) in 14 families on 16 chromosomes which makes 12.7% mutations. This variant did not found on 1008 control chromosomes. Mutation c.107C>T (р.Thr36Met) occurs in 53% families with mutation on 41% chromosomes. Mutations c.1486C>T (р.Arg496Ter) and c.9524A>G (р.Asn3175Ser) occur in 10% families each. Mutation analysis in PKHD1 gene is very important for confirming the ARPKD diag- nosis and genetic counseling with following prenatal diagnosis.

Abstract:
Objective. To establish associations between clinical and genetic risk factors and target lesions (heart, blood vessels, kidneys) of patients with arterial hypertension (AH) among the population of Mountain Shoria, depending on ethnicity. Matherials and methods. A clinical and epidemiological study of compactly living population in the remote areas of the Mountain Shoria was carried out. This middle altitude region is located in the south of Western Siberia. 1409 people were examined (901 representatives of the indigenous ethnic group - the Shors, 508 representatives of the non-indigenous ethnic group - 90% of them being Caucasian). The diagnosis of AH was set in accordance with the recommendations of the Society of Cardiology of the Russian Federation / Medical Society of the Russian Federation on the Problem of Arterial Hypertension, 2010. Assessment of the structural and functional state of the cardiac muscle and duplex scanning of brachiocephalic arteries among the patients with AH was made by echocardiography. A photometric method was used to examine the urinary albumin concentration level. The polymorphisms of the genes ACE (I/D, rs4340), АGT (c.803T>C, rs699), AGTR1 (А1166С, rs5186), ADRB1 (с.145A>G, Ser49Gly, rs1801252), ADRA2B (I/D, rs28365031), MTHFR (c.677С>Т, Ala222Val, rs1801133) and NOS3 (VNTR, 4b/4a) were tested by the PCR method. Results. Among the members of the indigenous ethnic group left ventricle hypertrophy (LVH) correlated with the AG progression features (extent and duration), smoking, genotypes I/D of the ACE gene among men and T/T and C/T of the MTHFR gene; increased intima-media complex thickness (IMT) correlated with the AG progression features (duration), male sex, age, genotypes T/C of the AGT gene and C/T of the MTHFR gene; high level of albuminuria (AU) correlated with the AG progression features (extent and duration), lipid disorders (hypoalphacholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyperbetacholesterolemia), genotypes D/D and I/D of the ACE gene, D/D of the ADRA2B gene and the C/T of the MTHFR gene among 18-64-year-olds. Genotype T/C of the AGT gene had a protective effect on LVH, genotypes G/G and A/G of the ADRB1 gene had protective effects on IMT and AU levels. In the nonindigenous ethnic group LVH correlated with the AG progression features (duration), hypertriglyceridemia, abdominal obesity, genotypes D/D of the ACE gene, 4b/4a and 4a/4a of the NOS3 gene; increased IMT correlated with the AG progression features (duration), age and genotypes T/C and C/C of the AGT gene; AU high level correlated with the AG progression features (extent and duration), obesity, abdominal including, genotypes C/C of the AGTR1 gene, D/D of the ADRA2B gene and T/T of the MTHFR gene. Genotype I/D of the ADRA2B gene had protective effect on IMT. Conclusion. The study demonstrated the importance of the ethnogenetic mechanisms in the multifactorial pathology development. The problem requires further research, also identification of people with AH and target lesions is needed for monitoring during the prophylactic medical examination of the population.

Abstract:
From the 10 known strains of thePlumpox virus (PPV) in the Russian Federation 7 strains are spread – D, M. Rec, W, C, CV, and CR with the prevalence of D and W strains. A characteristic feature of the Plum pox virus population in the Russian Federation is the wide spread of W, C and CR strains, extremely rare or not found at all in other regions of the world. Screening tests for detection of the complex of PPV strains by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) were carried out. It has been established that effective detection of PPV-D, PPV-M, PPV-Rec, PPV-C, PPV-CR, PPV-EA, PPV-W and PPV-T strains is achieved using PPV-ELISA test systems with polyclonal antibodies from ACD, Adgen, Agdia, Bioreba, DSMZ and Loewe companies. Monoclonal antibodies 5B-IVIA do not allow to diagnose isolates related to the strain PPV-CR. For universal detection of isolates of all PPV strains, it is necessary to use a real-time PCR kit for PPV (Syntol), a FLASH-PCR kit for PPV (Agrodiagnostica) or conventional PCR with one of the following primer pairs: P1/P2, s1/as2 or 3´NCP sense/3´NCP antisense.

ABSTRACTResearch on Public Understanding of Science (PUS) has been established in Ibero America in recent years, strengthening the research area and developing a regional methodological standard (VOGT & POLINO, 2003). Between 2013 and 2016, we conducted the study Perception of School Teachers of the State of São Paulo on issues related to science and technology (S&T), that through the Scientific Information Consumption Indicator (Icic), allowed to relate teachers´ practices on S&T information with issues related to attitudes, interest, valuation and appropriation of scientific themes, as well as the pedagogical practice in the classroom. This article aims to promote reflection on teachers´ scientific information consumption in relation to other key players in the process of circulation of knowledge, such as young students and citizens in general, in order to ascertain whether a teacher training influences the level of information consumption on S&T and differentiates this professional from other social actors, concerning the perception of matters related to S&T and its influence on and for society.RESUMOAs pesquisas de percepção pública da ciência (PPC) têm se consolidado na Ibero-América nos últimos anos, fortalecendo a linha de pesquisa e desenvolvendo um padrão metodológico regional (VOGT & POLINO, 2003). Abstract:
Technology-Rich Classrooms (TRCs) have been increasingly constructed in K12 schools. Existing studies revealed that to what extent TRCs play a role in shaping teaching and learning depends on what teachers expect to do and what they do with TRCs. This study aimed at exploring the gap between teachers’ experiences of existing TRCs and their expectations of ideal TRCs. A total of 194 preservice teachers studying at Beijing Normal University (BNU) and 149 in-service teachers who enrolled in a master program at BNU participated in the study. The Smart Classroom Inventory (SCI) a ten-component inventory revised from the previous study, was used to collect the data. Independent-samples t-tests and paired-samples t-tests revealed that: (a) both preservice teachers and in-service teachers reported significantly lower experiences of TRCs than their expectations of ideal ones in terms of most dimensions, with the only exception that preservice teachers’ Technology usage. (b) Whether in existing TRCs, or in ideal ones, both preservice teachers and in-service teachers reported relative lower scores of Flexibility, Learning data, Differentiation, Investigation, and Cooperation than other dimensions. (c) Preservice teachers reported significantly higher scores of Flexibility, Technology usage, Learning data, Differentiation, Investigation, and Cooperation than in-service teachers, while in-service teachers reported significantly higher scores of Physical design, Student Cohesiveness, Equity, and Learning experiences than preservice teachers.4) Preservice teachers reported significantly higher expectation of ideal Physical design, Differentiation than in-service teachers, while they reported significantly lower expectations of ideal Flexibility, Student Cohesiveness, Equity, and Learning experience than in-service teachers. Implications for preservice teachers’ education and in-service teachers’ professional development were discussed.

Abstract:
Objective. To investigate genetic determinants of resistance to antimicrobial agents recommended for the treatment of syphilis and assess their prevalence in molecular subtypes of Treponema pallidum subsp. pallidum in the Russian Federation over the period of 2014-2017. Materials and Methods. A total of 161 clinical isolates of T. pallidum obtained from Tyva, Stavropol, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Novosibirsk and Omsk regions were included in this study. Genetic material of T. pallidum was detected by PCR with primers to polA gene. Determinants of resistance to penicillins (tromp1, tp47), tetracyclines (16S rRNA) and macrolides (23S rRNA) were determined using the gene sequence analysis. Molecular typing was performed by characterizing variable arp, tpr (E, G, J) and tp0548 genes according to the CDC protocol. Results of this study were compared to historical data on antimicrobial resistance of T. pallidum over the period of 2011-2012. Results. Analysis of tromp1 and tp47 gene sequences detected C22G and G208T substitutions, respectively. These polymorphisms were not significant for activity of the corresponding proteins, but differed the studied clinical isolates from the reference strain Nichols, therefore, linking them with epidemic genogroup T. pallidum Street Strain 14. Based on the analysis of G1058C mutation in the 16S rRNA gene, all clinical isolates obtained in 2014-2017 belonged to wild type, whereas this genetic determinant of resistance to tetracyclines was determined in 2 of 190 isolates obtained in 2011-2012. Also, A2059G/C mutation in the 23S rRNA gene was not found, whereas a significant A2058G substitution in this gene was determined in 4 isolates obtained in 2014-2017. Results of this study confirm sporadic resistance to macrolides in the Russian Federation, which was previously (2011-2012) found in 3 of 190 isolates of T. pallidum. A2058G mutation was detected predominantly in minor subtypes of T. pallidum (14 b/f, 14 b/g and 14 d/g) and was unrepresentative for molecular subtype 14 d/f which is a predominant one in the Russian Federation. Conclusions. The long-term use of penicillins for the treatment of syphilis did not result in emergence of T. pallidum resistance to this antibiotic class. An absence of genetic determinants of resistance to tetracyclines confirms them to be second-line drugs. A sporadic prevalence of determinants of resistance to macrolides requires they be used for the treatment of syphilis with caution.

Abstract:
The paper examined the level of awareness, the extent of involvement and probable obstacles to the effective implementation of the national gender policy on basic education in Sokoto State. A sample of 180 teachers was drawn from the population of teachers at the Junior Secondary School level in Sokoto Slate through a stratified random sampling technique. A questionnaire tagged Teachers Awareness and Involvement Questionnaire (TAIO) was used to obtain information from the teachers. Results of the study show that teachers in the state are not aware of the existence of the National Gender Policy in basic education, they are also not involved in the implementation of the policy. The most important obstacle to the successful implementation of the policy being teachers' insufficient knowledge of the various aspects of the policy. It was recommended among others that teachers should be given adequate training and orientation for the implementation of the policy considering the fa c t that teachers are the cornerstone of the implementation of any education policy.

Abstract:
The distribution and frequency of the CFTR gene mutations vary considerably between countries and ethnic groups. Russians are an East Slavic ethnic groups are native to Eastern Europe. Russians, the most numerous people of the Russian Federation (RF), make about 80% of the population. The aim is to reveal the molecular causes of CF in ethnic Russian patients as comprehensively as possible. The analysis of most common CFTR mutations utilized for CF diagnosis in multiethnic RF population accounts for about 83% of all CF-causing mutations in 1384 ethnic Russian patients. Variants c.1521_1523delCTT (F508del), c.54-5940_273+10250del21kb (CFTRdele2,3), c.2012delT (2143delT), c.2052_2053insA (2184insA), and c.3691delT (3821delT) are most typical for CF patients of Russian origin. DNA of 154 CF patients, Russian by origin, in whom at least one mutant allele was not previously identified (164 CF alleles), was analyzed by Sanger sequencing followed by the multiplex ligase-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) method. In addition to the 29 variants identified during the previous test for common mutations, 91 pathogenic CFTR variants were also revealed: 29 missense, 19 nonsense, 14 frame shift in/del, 17 splicing, 1 in frame ins, and 11 copy number variations (CNV). Each of the 61 variants was revealed once, and 17 twice. Each of the variants c.1209G>C (E403D), c.2128A>T (K710X), c.3883delA (4015delA), and c.3884_3885insT (4016insT) were detected for three, c.1766+1G>A (1898+1G>A) and c.2834C>T (S945L) for four, c.1766+1G>C (1898+1G>C) and c.(743+1_744-1)_(1584+1_1585-1)dup (CFTRdup6b-10) for five, c.2353C>T (R785X) and c.4004T>C (L1335P) for six, c.3929G>A (W1310X) for seven, c.580-1G>T (712-1G>T for eight, and c.1240_1244delCAAAA (1365del5) for 11 unrelated patients. A comprehensive analysis of CFTR mutant alleles with sequencing followed by MLPA, allowed not only the identification of 163 of 164 unknown alleles in our patient sample, but also expansion of the mutation spectrum with novel and additional frequent variants for ethnic Russians.

Abstract:
Study aim - a comparative analysis of dynamics and trends in the prevalence of viral hepatitis B and C and drug addiction in Russia and Moscow in the period from 1999 to 2014. Materials and methods. A retrospective analysis of the prevalence of viral hepatitis B and C, and drug addicts was performed among the population of Moscow and the Russian Federation for the period from 1999 to 2014. The forms of federal statistical observation were applied. To assess the significance of differences between the compared values, the statistical significance error (p) were calculated based on the calculation of Student's test (t). Results and discussion. The tendency of growth in prevalence of drug addiction was verified over the study period in Moscow and in Russia as a whole (in Moscow, 166.3 (1999) to 257.37 100 ths people (2013), in Russia 154.75 (1999) to 227.19 100 ths people (2013)). However, the growth rate of drug addiction prevalence has decreased in recent years mainly due to the decrease in the number of patients who applied for medical help for the first time. It was shown that a composition of the consumed drugs has changed in the studied period in Russia: Portion of cannabinoid addiction has decreased in 2 times, the abuse of stimulants in 19 times. The opium addiction compiled the main portion of consumed drugs (74.5%), the poly addiction - 18.3%, the proportion of addiction to stimulants was 3.5%. Epidemiologic features of the of parenteral viral hepatitis B and C was demonstrated: Reduced prevalence of acute forms and an increased incidence of chronic forms of hepatitis B and C in the population of Moscow; changes toward older age in representation of hepatitis B and C; sexual transition was defined as a main transition way for hepatitis B and C. For the first time it shows a very strong positive correlation (r = from 0.95 to 0.96) between the primary drug addiction and the incidence of acute forms of hepatitis B and C in Moscow and the Russian Federation in 2000 - 2013. Conclusion. The retrospective analysis of the prevalence of drug addiction and viral hepatitis B and C showed the presence of common factors affecting the course of the epidemic process in the studied nosology; drug addicts still represent a risk group for infection with viral hepatitis B and C.

Abstract:
In an effort provide access to devices and prepare students for the future, a small rural high school committed to becoming a high-tech school. However, data collected using the IPI-T process suggested teachers were typically the users of the technology, students were often disengaged, and teachers were asking students to participate in lower-order surface activities. Missing from the process was the implementation of the faculty collaborative sessions. The year after the initial rollout of the devices, IPI-T data was collected three times. Additionally, faculty collaborative sessions were planned and facilitated within one week of collection data. Participating in each faculty collaborative session, teachers (a) became familiar with the IPI-T Rubric and Protocols, (b) analyzed and discussed the data, (c) identified high-quality examples of student learning that foster student engagement with technology, (d) designed high-quality lessons that foster student engagement with technology, (e) compared longitudinal data and set goals for future data collection using the IPI-T tool. An analysis of the data revealed when implementing the IPI-T process with fidelity teacher and student technology use increased as did student cognitive engagement when using technology. In addition, it was found that students use technology for information searches the majority of the time rather than media development or to collaborate among peers for example, which is associated with higher-levels of cognitive engagement.

Abstract:
The estimation of above-ground biomass (AGB) in boreal forests is of special concern as it constitutes the highest carbon pool in the northern hemisphere. In particularly, monitoring of the forests in the Russian Federation is important as some regions have not been inventoried for many years. This study explores the combination of multi-frequency, multi-polarization, and multi-temporal radar data as one key approach to provide an accurate estimate of forest biomass. The data from L-band Advanced Land Observing Satellite 2 (ALOS-2) Phased Array L-Band Synthetic Aperture Radar 2 (PALSAR-2), together with C-band RADARSAT-2 data, were applied for AGB estimation. Backscatter coefficients from L- and C-band radar were used independently and in combination with a non-parametric model to retrieve AGB data for a boreal forest in Siberia (Krasnoyarskiy Kray). AGB estimation was performed using the random forests machine learning algorithm. The results demonstrated that high estimation accuracies can be achieved at a spatial resolution of 0.25 ha. When the L-band data alone were used for the retrieval, a corrected root-mean-square error (RMSEcor) of 29.4 t ha−1 was calculated. A marginal decrease in RMSEcor was observed when only the filtered L-band backscatter data, without ratio and texture, were used (29.1 t ha−1). The inclusion of the C-band data reduced the over and underestimation; the bias was reduced from 5.5 t ha−1 to 4.7 t ha−1; and a RMSEcor of 30.2 t ha−1 was calculated.

Abstract:
Early childhood education as the main foundation of one's education is determined by the quality of teachers who can be seen through the performance of teachers and teachers, so the discourse of professional development is important. This study aims to determine how the performance of superior early childhood teachers and performance measurement as performance standards for outstanding teachers. Qualitative research is carried out with a psychological approach that is carried out directly on the object under study, to obtain data relating to aspects of teacher performance so that increased performance becomes an example for other teachers. Research data collection techniques using interviews, documentation, and observation. The results showed that the performance of outstanding early childhood teachers always tried to hone and control themselves by participating in outstanding teacher competitions to monitor their professional condition and performance. Early childhood teachers who have extraordinary grades also have strong scientific insight, understand learning, have broad social insights, are positive about their work, and show work performance according to the required performance criteria. The teacher's performance in the extraordinary category is the success and ability of the teacher in carrying out various learning tasks. Measuring the performance of early childhood teachers with achievement has two tasks as measurement standards, tasks related to the learning process and tasks related to structuring and planning learning tasks. Referring to these two tasks, there are three main criteria related to teacher performance in early childhood teacher professional development literacy, namely processes, teacher characteristics, and outcomes or products (changes in student attitudes). In the learning process, the performance of early childhood teachers who excel can be seen from the quality of work carried out related to professional teacher learning activities. Abstract:
Student assessment is a process that entails the collection of evidence of learning in diverse and systematic ways to make judgments on students’ learning. What then is the perception of this vital tool in the hands of the users (teachers)? This study investigates teachers’ conceptions of assessment and their choices of assessment tasks in postgraduate teacher training. Action research with one group pretest-posttest design was adopted for the study. The survey used to collect data for this study has three sections (A, B, & C). Section A elicits participants’ personal information; Section B contains 20 different assessment tasks. Section C includes 26 items that examined participants’ conceptions of assessment from four different sub-scales (school accountability, student accountability, improvement of teaching and learning, and irrelevance factors). The researchers further validated the survey, and the Alpha reliability coefficient of the whole scale was 0.85. Data collected from twenty-eight randomly selected teachers out of forty-five were analyzed using descriptive measures and paired sample t-test. Findings revealed that teachers enact both summative and formative assessment tasks but with preferences for summative tasks. Abstract:
According to the Challenge Hypothesis, high levels of testosterone (T) are associated with status-seeking behaviors, especially in competitive situations. However, there have not been many studies about rivals’ social status and pre-competition neuroendocrine responses. The aim of this study was to analyze whether the participants in a chess tournament showed different pre-match testosterone and cortisol levels depending on differences in ELO (i.e., the International Chess Federation rating to rank the competitive potential and social status between players). The sample was six male participants (mean ± SD) aged 25.5 ± 8.4 years with experience in official tournaments of 16.33 ± 5.72 years and an average ELO rating of 2217.67 ± 112.67. Saliva samples were collected before each round for hormonal determination when participants competed against a rival with a different ELO rating. After five competition rounds per participant, higher rival pre-competition T concentrations were shown when playing against the best-rated participant, but there were no differences in cortisol (C). The multilevel model confirmed rises in rivals’ precompetitive T levels modulated by the difference in the opponent’s ELO rating. No significant changes were observed in C. The results suggest that the rival’s status can determine the opponent’s anticipatory neuroendocrine responses to an official chess tournament.

The study was conducted to investigate the opinion of truants about their teachers, their academic achievement and their reasons for skipping classes. It also investigated gender differences among truants in terms of their opinion about their teachers. Purposive sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 30 truants with an equal number of boys and girls. Traunts were identified by their respective teachers. The Survey of Study Habits and Attitudes (1965) form C was used to measure the opinion of truants about their teachers. One sample t test was used to analyze the data. The results indicated that truants carry a bad opinion about their teachers. They also indicated that truants have an average academic achievement. However, the study indicated no significant gender differences among truants in terms of their opinion about their teachers. Furthermore, the findings indicated that the teachers’ boring teaching style is the most frequently reported reason for skipping classes. Truants need counseling to change their perceptions regarding their teachers’ attitude as they believe that teachers exercise their authority too much and they give a hard time to students. The study can be beneficial for teachers, parents and educationists as it highlights the reasons behind truancy, opinions of truants about their teachers, their academic achievements and the need for counseling to modify their perceptions about their teachers.

Abstract:
We examined a status of fibrosarcoma arising in dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of 64-year-old male patient. A dermal, solid, grayish-yellow, desmin-negative trichrome-bluish tumor measured 1.5 cm in diameter pT1a (edition 8 pTNM). It was composed of spindle cells. It was consistent with dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (ICD-O3: 8832/3) in areas of low mitotic activity, low atypia and sustained CD34 positivity. CD34-negative texture with high mitotic index and atypia was consistent with the high grade sarcoma apparently of fibrous origin, given category of poorly differentiated fibrosarcoma. The high grade component was graded (G3) and scored according to French Federation of Cancer Centers Sarcoma Group (FNCLCC): total score of 6 points: tumor differentiation: 3 points + Mitotic count: 3 points (up to 26 mitoses/ 10HPF in high-grade fields), + no necrosis: 0 points. In low grade sarcomatous component ADAMTS20 (NM_025003: c.1661C>T, p.P554L) NF1 (NM_001042492: c. 2173G>T, p.E725X) and PKHD1 (NM_138694: c. 11074C>T, p.R3692X) were revealed with following allelic frequencies: 25%, 27% and 17%. In high grade component allelic frequencies of the same mentioned mutations were 30%, 30% and 14% respectively. In the light of our findings, none of detected mutations can be regarded as a mutation that would definitely induce phenotype of high malignancy, because ADAMTS20, NF1 and PKHD1 mutations were detected both in high grade sarcoma and in low grade areas of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. It also points that these mutations appeared on early stages of tumor development.

Abstract:
Today, a serious problem of teachers has been the search for educational technologies aimed not only at assimilating students a certain amount of knowledge, but also at developing their personal, creative and cognitive abilities. One of the concepts that allow teachers to maintain such a balance in teaching professional English in universities and higher education institutions proved to be the WebQuest interactive activities on the Internet with the help of Marketing Mix Model WebQuest technology. Based on the "Marketing Mix Model WebQuest", a series of interactive lessons in the framework of the course ‘English for professional purposes’ was conducted in 2 groups (control and experimental) of 22 students each at the faculty of “Social Sciences and Mass Communications” in the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The aim of the research was to teach the students professional English terminology and topics through interactive activities on the Internet. Using WebQuest technology, students were asked to listen to foreign speech, adapt it in accordance with their level of perception, adjust the sound speed by breaking phrases into separate words and comparing the pronunciation and spelling of words. The results of the study and t-Student criterion calculation showed that the experimental group did better than the control one. Mean value of control group came up to 74,32 points whereas of experimental group – to 81,95 points. The significance level of t-Student test made p < 0,001. The results obtained indicate that the implementation of Marketing Mix Model WebQuest technology facilitated a more intensive participation in the learning process of students, which made it possible to increase the efficiency of perception and memorization of educational material, as well as to use an interactive learning environment to solve professional problems, which is especially important for teaching a professional foreign language.

Aim. To evaluate the association of rs2476601 and rs2488457 polymorphisms with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) in several ethnic populations of Russian Federation and to estimate the cross-populational differences of these polymorphisms.Materials and Methods. A case-control design was applied to study the aforementioned polymorphisms in five ethnic populations of Russian Federation: Bashkir, Yakut, Buryat, Udmurt, Russian. We analyzed DNA samples from 491 patients with T1DM and 408 control subjects. Polymorphisms were identified with RFLP-PCR and RT-PCR. Strength of association was evaluated as odds ratio (OR). All calculations were performed with StatSoft STATISTICA (version 6) and Microsoft Excel 2003 software applications.Results. PTPN22 1858Т+ genotypes were associated with T1DM in Udmurt, Russian and Bashkir populations and PTPN22 1123C+ genotype in Buryat population. We did not find any associations of PTPN22 gene polymorphisms with T1DM in Yakut population. Cross-ethnic comparison of polymorphism frequencies showed statistically significant differences. Allele frequency distribution in Buryat population significantly differs from that of other studied ethnic groups with G-1123C (rs2488457; 71.3%) being a significantly more common finding than C type allele. Russian population of Moscow and Moscow Region is also characterized by higher prevalence of Ttype allele (13%) in C1858Т (rs2476601) polymorphism.Conclusion. Ethnic populations of Asian regions of Russian Federation, characterized by lower rates of T1DM (Yakut and Buryat) demonstrated highest prevalence of G-allele in G-1123C (rs2488457) polymorphism. On the contrary, analyses from Russian population of Moscow and Moscow Region, known to have higher rates of T1DM, suggest higher prevalence of T-allele in C1858Т (rs2476601) polymorphism.

Abstract:
In Victoria, Australia, one of the major roles of the teachers’ aide (TA) is to assist students with disabilities to access their education. Researchers have identified the inconsistencies in defining the roles of the TA, in a variety of settings, by TAs, teachers, parents, and other research participants. Four main themes that have been frequently reported in educational research related to the role of TAs formed the basis for this study: (a) inclusion in the school community, (b) curriculum, (c) classroom management, and (d) student support.Drawing on the results of a questionnaire administered to teachers and TAs at a government nonselective secondary school in Victoria, Australia, data were collected to explore the differing perspectives on the role of the TAs by the teaching staff and the TAs. In all, 65 individuals participated in this study. The participants formed 3 groups: TAs (n = 10), teachers (n = 49), and T/TAs (n = 6; participants in this group had worked as both a teacher and TA). The results of the study showed a diversity of views across the 4 themes. In 3 of the 4 themes that included inclusion, classroom management, and student support, the 3 groups agreed on the role of the TA. In the remaining theme, curriculum, opinions varied significantly. The results of the study reveal that a concerted effort to clarify the role of TAs would be beneficial to all stakeholders.

Abstract:
There has been developed and validated the technology for massive parallel sequencing for the purpose of molecular genetic diagnosis of hereditary glycogen storage diseases. Among 96 patients aged of from 15 months up to 18 years, the diagnosis was verified in 89 (92.6%) children. Glycogen storage disease (GSD) type IX appeared to be the most frequent form of glycogenosis in children, diagnosed in 29.3% of cases, GSD type IV, verified in 1.1% of cases, was a rare form of glycogenesis. In 39 (43.8%) out of 89 genetically confirmed children, there were revealed 35 (44.3%) of the previously undescribed mutations from 79 pathogenic variants found in 9 (45%) of different genes of 20 examined cases, indicating to a significant heterogeneity of genetic factors of the development of GSD in the Russian population. Mutations c.247C>T of the G6PC gene, c.1042_1043del of the SLC37A4 gene, c.3980G>A and c.1423+1G>A of the AGL gene, c.-32-13T>G of the GAA gene, and c.884G>A of the PHKA2 gene were been established to be characteristic for the Russian population of GSD children. There was shown the high sensitivity and specificity of the massive parallel sequencing for the search for single nucleotide substitutions in coding and adjacent intron regions, as well as small deletions and duplications of genes, mutations in which lead to the development of GSD. Massive parallel sequencing is necessary for the rapid diagnosis of GSD, timely appointment of the adequate treatment, prevention of complications, which will improve the quality of the life of GSD patients.

Abstract:
Aim. To study the associations of increased spatial QRS-T angle (sQRS-Ta ≥90°) with cardiovascular risk factors (RFs).Material and methods. We analyzed 1411 electrocardiography (ECG) records of men and women aged 25-64 years from a random regional sample of the Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Diseases and their Risk Factors in Regions of Russian Federation (ESSE-RF) study. Relationships of sQRS-Ta with the following RFs were assessed: hypertension (HTN), systolic blood pressure (SBP) ≥140 mm Hg, diastolic BP (DBP) ≥90 mm Hg, pulse pressure (PP) ≥60 mm Hg; glucose ≥7,0 mmol/l, hypercholesterolemia; hypertriglyceridemia; high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) ≤1,0/1,2 mmol/l in men/women, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) >3,0 mmol/l; C-reactive protein (CRP) >1 mg/L; overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity; heart rate (HR) >80 bpm; age >52 years.Results. Weak but significant correlations of sQRS-Ta with age (in women), SBP, DBP, PP, body mass index, waist circumference, lipids, glucose, CRP were revealed. Univariate logistic regression demonstrated significant associations of increased sQRS-Ta with HTN, elevated SBP and PP, overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity, hypercholesterolemia, elevated LDL-C and CRP, hyperglycemia, age >52 years and heart rate >80 bpm. There were no associations of increased sQRS-Ta with male sex, elevated DBP, smoking, hypertriglyceridemia, and low HDL-C levels. The sQRS-Ta associations characteristic of women was similar with associations found among the entire sample. Men with increased sQRS-Ta had no associations with any of analyzed RFs. In multivariate models, increased sQRS-Ta was associated with the following combination of RFs: age >52 years, heart rate >80 bpm, HTN, increased PP, overwaight, and male sex. According to direct stepwise selection among all subjects and in women, the main contribution to sQRS-Ta was made by SBP, age, HDL-C and heart rate.Conclusion. Despite the significance of stepwise regression model (p=0,0001), the low coefficient of determination R2 may indicate other not yet identified determinants with relevant associations with sQRS-Ta.

Abstract:
The work presents the results of the analysis of combine harvesters’ classifi cation systems applied in the former USSR, the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, as well as in the USA and Argentina. The expediency of their application is shown depending on the purpose of combines, advertising, organizing their production and operation in various climatic and industrial conditions. Classifi cation by structural and energy parameters is necessary when developing new combines. However, it does not reveal the potential functionality of combines and the effi ciency of their work in specifi c zonal conditions with signifi cant fl uctuations in yield, moisture, straw content and other physical and mechanical properties of harvested crops. In Russia and the CIS countries, combine harvesters are classifi ed according to their nominal throughput specifi ed in the passport. It is characterized by the value of the actual supply of grain bulk in kilograms per second to the combine thresher with a grain loss of 1.5% whereby grain is threshed in the direct way with standard yield and specifi ed moisture and straw content. Previously, the standard in the USSR stipulated that testing should be carried out in areas with the yield of at least 4 t/ha. In some areas, due to a low grain yield, it was not possible to indicate the conditions of comparative tests. The standards of the Russian Federation provide for comparative testing of combines during grain threshing with a yield characteristic of the zone. This contradicts the principles of the identity of comparative test conditions. To solve this urgent scientifi c problem, it is necessary to develop alternative, less laborintensive methods for comparative testing of combines in determining their nominal throughput recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. At the same time, it is necessary to allow underutilization of the nominal throughput of the harvester of no more than 10%. Overloading the thresher is not allowed, since it leads to signifi cant grain losses during threshing.

Abstract:
This quantitative study utilized 1,640 P-5 students’ learning outcomes as a result of unit instructions that pre-service teachers gave to P-5 students in the field. The study investigated the difference in P-5 student learning outcomes after a unit instruction by three practicum course tiers, considering socioeconomic statuses, student grade levels, and subject areas of the content taught by the pre-service teacher. Using normalized gain scores, we used a t test and regression tests to analyze the data. Based on the findings, recommendations for pre-service teacher education include three items: a) to provide differentiated supervision based on pre-service teachers’ experiences and needs, b) to require a proportionate and incremental assignment responding to the amount of pre-service teachers’ experiences and hours in the classroom, and c) to incorporate co-teaching opportunities to facilitate peer learning and support in early field experiences.

Abstract:
High and unstable prices on such cocoa products as cocoa butter have triggered a search for substitutes. Thus, it is necessary to develop identification methods for chocolate authenticity, since chocolate is one of the most popular confectionery products. The present research employed the methods of thermal and thermomechanical analysis to study samples of chocolate produced in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Community (the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Belarus) and chocolate bars with cocoa butter substitutes. An analysis of the sucrose – cocoa butter (CB) system revealed that samples with CB = 10–30%, 60%, and 90% demonstrated a single polymorphic modification of glycerides CB α-form with a melting point of 21–23°C. The samples with CB = 0%, 50%, 70%, and 80% showed a more heat-resistant modification (β’-modification) with a maximum melting point of 27.0–27.5°C. In addition, the melting peaks of glycerides were found not constant, which may indicate a eutectic effect in the sucrose – CB system. The samples of chocolate produced in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan passed the tempering stage and demonstrated the most heat-resistant β-modification of CB. However, the samples differed in the melting temperature: T max = 33.9°C for the Russian chocolate and T = 34.8°C for the samples from Kazakhstan (the Rakhat brand). The samples from Belarus did not pass the tempering and were found to contain a thermodynamically unstable CB α-phase (the Kommunarka factory). The samples produced by the Spartak factory (Gomel, the republic of Belarus) contained an additional CB β’-phase. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) curves for chocolate bars with CB substitutes differed from the DSC curves for cocoa butter and chocolate samples. The fact can be used for identification. The DSC method can be used to identify the individual characteristics of the producer of chocolate and its analogues since the parameters of the melting curve of the fat phase and the shape of the curve are individual. The thermomagnetic analysis (TMA) method complemented the identification by determining the mass fraction of the liquid phase. Joint application of DSC and TMA methods allowed the authors to evaluate the quality of chocolate, its formulation, as well as to reveal the presence of cocoa products substitutes in the samples as compared to the reference sample.

Abstract:
Seeds of maize hybrids in the Russian Federation are obtained using CMS, therefore it is necessary to transfer the developed hybrids to a sterile basis to introduce them into production. The purpose of the work is to study the reaction of self-pollinated maize lines to various types of CMS. There was estimated the response of 26 self-pollinated maize lines to the “M” type of CMS and the response of 23 lines to the “C” type of CMS. The simple sterile hybrids “Milena M”, “Madonna M”, “Krucha M”, “Istok C”, “Nimfa C”, “Malvina C”, which are the mother forms of the new three-linear maize hybrids have been used as the testers of the sources of sterility. The self-pollinated lines have been classified according to the response to the “M” type of CMS as sterility fixers (11), incomplete sterility fixers (7), fertility reducing agents (6), non-uniform in reconstructing ability (2). In relation to the “C” type of CMS there were identified 10 sterility fixers, 3 incomplete sterility fixers, 7 fertility reducing agents, 3 non-uniform in reconstructing ability. The reducing agents of Moldavian type of CMS “FC 18 A”, “T 22 A”, “DS 768/83-3”, “DS 768/85-4”, “DS 768/85”, “DS 768/85-5” are of the greatest practical interest as they can be used as natural reducing agents (paternal forms) in the developed hybrid combinations. The constant natural reducing agents of the “C” type of CMS (“T 22 A”, “PLS 61”, “DK 22/325”, as paternal forms of hybrids grown on sterile cytoplasm of the “C” type) are of practical value. The use of sterile testers in hybridization allows simultaneously with the development of new hybrids to start the first stage of their transfer to a sterile basis, namely to evaluate the response of the lines to the sterile cytoplasm.

Abstract:
The southern part of the African continent has, for nearly a hundred and fifty years, been witness to a set of epic struggles to create within it a single unified state and, within that, forms of citizenship that are both identifiably “South African” and more or less collectively owned. The never-ending nature of these twinned tasks has echoes in contemporary mantras about the healthiness of “nation-building,” just as surely as the underlying anemia remains manifest in the name of a place and a people that are, arguably, still more of an expression of geography than a reflection of a collectively lived experience. Perhaps it is significant that it was only a decade after the discovery of diamonds, in the late 1860s, that these struggles first took on recognizably modern political forms. An early attempt to promote federation among the dominant white settlers was, however, thwarted by the still largely separate identities of the two British coastal colonies (the Cape and Natal) and two inland Afrikaner-Dutch or “Boer” republics (the Orange Free State and the Zuid Afrikaansche Republiek) that sprawled over southern Africa—enveloping, albeit imperfectly, their distinctive and very different indigenous African, imported Asian, and Colored (people of mixed descent) laboring populations.

Abstract:
The paper analyses cost and effectiveness of academic staff working at government and private colleges district Bahawalpur. Therein, it focuses, (a) comparison of cost between private and Government Colleges, (b) finding the sector which readily adopts new trends in education through costeffectiveness, (c) evaluates the use of resources in government and private college in terms of quality efficacy, and (d) compare the achievement in education in government and private sector by utilizing cost-effectiveness analysis. Survey approach was used for data collection. So, two separate questionnaires were developed on a five point Likert scale. Cost and effectiveness in government and private college were then reviewed. The sample was selected from the universe of teachers and Parents of Bahawalpur district. Data were then analysed and presented through means and t-test. Major findings of the study indicated government college teachers’ salary fall between 50,000 to 100,000 and private college salary 20,000 to 50,0000. Majority of teachers in both sectors teach undergraduate and graduate level classes. Very few teachers teach higher level classes. Government college teachers show more flexibility in their behaviour as claimed by respondents, than their private counterparts. Private college did superior work in the category of ethic than Government College. It is observed that private college teachers encourage the students learning by doing in the classroom more than Government College.
