Abstract:

The study presents a conceptual analysis of the main approaches to the study of the human brain and consciousness from the standpoint of modern domestic and foreign neuroscience. Relevant interpretations of such problematic issues and concepts as “the boundary of the human body”, “embodied knowledge”, “general artificial intelligence”, “self”, etc. From the standpoint of a body-oriented approach, the problem of co-evolution of the body, consciousness, technology and social environment is considered. The idea of the body as an artifact is updated in the context of technological change in human nature, which entails the elimination of the living human body. On the example of the Homeric epic, it is shown that attempts to overcome vulnerability demonstrate one of the fundamental human needs. The realization of the need to expand and push the boundaries of the body in the anthropotechnological environment is presented in the form of a cyborg. It is suggested that, in terms of content, the idea of the “embodied mind”, as well as the project of creating a Hybrid reality and pan-communication, stem from the immanent human need for bodily involvement in the surrounding world. The features of the creation of Artificial Intelligence and Artificial General Intelligence at the present stage are revealed. The expediency of studying the results of neuroscientific comprehension of the organization of mental processes, first of all, in the field of visualization of brain processes and the mapping method, is noted. The main modern projects for the study of the brain, as well as the most effective methods for obtaining data on brain structures, are considered. The actual results of the research are described in such areas of neuroscience as: the study of mirror neurons and their systems; “reading the brain”, the study of neural correlates of consciousness. The results of studies of representatives of domestic neuroscience are presented. The human “I” is considered as a unique structure of the Ego-system of the brain (“self”). In conclusion, a conclusion is made about the significant influence of modern neuroscience on understanding the features of the functioning of the human brain, consciousness and cognitive processes; the effectiveness of applying the body-oriented approach to comprehending the integrity of “body-consciousness-technologies-social environment” is revealed.

Abstract:

Objetivo: construir y evaluar de las propiedades psicométricas de un instrumento que evalúa ladinámica de pareja dentro de una relación de jóvenes entre las edades de 18 y 30 años. Metodología:Después de realizar una estricta revisión teórica y haber definido el constructo, se elaboró elCuestionario de Violencia de Parejas en Jóvenes, con 29 ítems, con sus 5 factores: factor 1 ViolenciaFísica (10 ítems), factor 2 Manipulación (5 ítems), factor 3 Violencia Verbal (6 ítems), factor 4 Coerción(3 ítems); por último, el factor 5 Prohibiciones (5 ítems); con un tipo de respuesta dicotómica y Likertde cinco puntos. Fue administrado a 355 jóvenes residentes de Lima- Este. Para evaluar la validez deconstructo se hizo mediante el Análisis Factorial Exploratorio, utilizando el método de componentesparalelos con rotación oblimin y la normalización Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO). Resultados: se obtuvoun KMO de .937, con una significancia de .001; la rotación indicó que cinco factores se ajustanadecuadamente, con pesos factoriales dentro del rango de .350 a .623, que representa el 53.5% dela varianza. Asimismo, se obtuvo un alfa de Cronbach de .943 y un omega de McDonald´s .947 en laescala global; así también, en los ítems se evidencia coeficientes de Cronbach que varían entre .940 a.942 y en el McDonald´s .944 a .946, lo que indica una elevada fiabilidad. Conclusión: el instrumentoevidencia una buena consistencia interna y validez de constructo.

Abstract:

Beta-lactamase was purified from local isolate Klebsiella pneumonia by several steps included precipitation with ammonium sulphate at 20-40% saturation, DEAE- ion exchange chromatography and gel filtration on Sephacryl S-200 column. The obtained purification fold and recovery were 32.66; 47.04% respectively. The characterization of the purified beta-lactamase showed that the molecular weight was about 4000 daltons as determined by gel filtration.Purified enzyme had an optimal pH of 7 for activity and an optimal stability between pH 6.5-7.5, results shows that the optimal temperature appear to be 35 ? C .During storage the enzyme retained 72% at -20 ? C and retained 25% of the activity at the same period at 4 ? C.

Abstract:

The effect of calcination temperature on the breakdown strength and energy density of CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) ceramics was studied. CCTO ceramics were prepared via solid state reaction method. The raw materials of CCTO were wet mixed for 24 hours and then dried overnight in oven. CCTO mixtures were calcined at three different temperature which is at 900°C, 930°C and 950°C for 12 hours. The calcined powders were compacted at 250 MPa and then were sintered at 1040°C for 10 hours. X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) analysis showed the formation of CCTO phase and secondary phases of CuO and CaTiO3 for C900 calcined powders but single phase of CCTO was obtained by C930 and C950 calcined powders. Single phase of CCTO also were seen for all sintered samples. Observation on Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) micrographs showed large grain size was seen in C900 sintered sample and finer grain size was observed for C930 and C950 sintered samples. C900 sintered sample obtained highest dielectric constant (8617), highest breakdown strength (7.92 kV/cm), highest energy density (2.392 J/cm3).

Abstract:

Background: α-Amylases are starch-degrading enzymes and used widely, the study on thermostability of α-amylase is a central requirement for its application in life science and biotechnology. </P><P> Objective: In this article, our motivation is to study how the effect of Ca2+ ions on the structure and thermal characterization of α-amylase (AGXA) from thermophilic Anoxybacillus sp.GXS-BL. </P><P> Methods: α-Amylase activity was assayed with soluble starch as the substrate, and the amount of sugar released was determined by DNS method. For AGXA with calcium ions and without calcium ions, optimum temperature (Topt), half-inactivation temperature (T50) and thermal inactivation (halflife, t1/2) was evaluated. The thermal denaturation of the enzymes was determined by DSC and CD methods. 3D structure of AGXA was homology modeled with α-amylase (5A2A) as the template. </P><P> Results: With calcium ions, the values of Topt, T50, t1/2, Tm and ΔH in AGXA were significantly higher than those of AGXA without calcium ions, showing calcium ions had stabilizing effects on α-amylase structure with the increased temperature. Based on DSC measurements AGXA underwent thermal denaturation by adopting two-state irreversible unfolding processes. Based on the CD spectra, AGXA without calcium ions exhibited two transition states upon unfolding, including α- helical contents increasing, and the transition from α-helices to β-sheet structures, which was obviously different in AGXA with Ca2+ ions, and up to 4 Ca2+ ions were located on the inter-domain or intra-domain regions according to the modeling structure. </P><P> Conclusion: These results reveal that Ca2+ ions have pronounced influences on the thermostability of AGXA structure.

Background: Blood cytokines affect the development of inflammatory processes in both normal and pathological states. We have studied changes in the concentration of interleukins (ILs) - 1β, IL-4, IL-10, IL-12B p40, transforming growth factor β (TGF β), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) in acute carrageenan-induced inflammation and degenerative-dystrophic changes of knee joint caused by monoiodoacetate-induced Osteoarthritis (OA) in experimental models on rats. We also investigated the change in the cytokine profile during prophylactic and therapeutic administration of chondroitin sulfate to animals under experimental conditions. </P><P> Methods: The concentration of the cytokines was measured in blood serum by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: The manifestation of articular lesions was characterized by a disturbance in the balance between proinflammatory (IL-1β, IL-12B p40, TNF-α) and anti-inflammatory (IL-4, IL-10, TGF -β) cytokines. Conclusion: A reduction in the concentration of proinflammatory cytokines in blood serum after prophylactic and therapeutic administration of chondroitin sulfate to the rat with experimental models of acute inflammation of the hind limb and degenerative-dystrophic changes in the knee joint with OA is associated with anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties of the drug.

Abstract:

The experimental evidence for the realization of a superplastic behavior with 900% elongation in V-alloyed high-nitrogen austenitic Fe-19Cr-22Mn-1.5V-0.3C-0.6N steel was proposed. Using thermomechanical processing, a misoriented grain/subgrain austenitic microstructure with a high density of deformation-assisted defects and precipitates was developed in the steel. During high-temperature tensile deformation in a temperature interval from 850 to 1000 °C and strain-rate range from 4 × 10−4 s−1 to 6 × 10−3 s−1, this microstructure demonstrated the characteristics of superplastic flow: elongation in the interval 400–900%, strain-rate sensitivity exponent m = 0.40–0.49, grain boundary sliding mechanism. The maximum elongation to failure (900%) was reached at deformation temperature 950 °C and strain rate 4 × 10−4 s−1.

Abstract:

C21 steroids glycosides of various deoxysugars have been emerging from genus of Cynanchum. Besides classical C21 glycosides, many C21 glycosides with seco-ring aglycones attracted the extensive attention of many researchers. We conducted a systematic chemical investigation on Cynanchum hancockianum, which led to the isolation of one new seco-ring C21 steroidal glycosides. The new compound was identified as cynaascyriogenin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-4)-α-L-cymaropyranosy-(1-4)- β-D-cymaropyranosyl-(1-4)-β-D-cymaropyranoside. The cytotoxic activities of the compound were evaluated using the A549 and MCF-7 cell lines, respectively. The IC50 values of the compound were 41.3 and 67.1µM, respectively. This is the first report on the isolation of seco-ring C21 steroidal glycosides from Cynanchum hancockianum.

Исследована кинетика диффузии бора в стали AISI 1050 (сталь 50). Проведено борирование стали в течение 2, 4 и 6 ч при 850, 900 и 950 °C с использованием порошка Экабор-II (Ekabor-II) методом пакетного борирования. На поверхности образцов получены боридные слои FeB/Fe2B толщиной 25,4 – 118,9 мкм. Сформированные боридные слои имеют типичную зубчатую морфологию и твердость 1071 – 1460 HV0,1. Рассчитанные по результатам диффузионно-кинетических исследований константы скорости роста боридного слоя для стали AISI 1050 при температурах борирования 850, 900 и 950 °C составляют 1,522 ' 10 – 12; 2,964 ' 10 – 13 и 6,354 ' 10 – 12 м2 ' с – 1 соответственно. Определена энергия активации диффузии бора в стали AISI 1050, равная 162,93 кДж ' моль – 1.

Abstract:

Inflation is a burning issue in Pakistan. It is generally felt that for several years Pakistan has had a double-digit inflation. The public sector has used a mix of policies to control inflation, and it is also held responsible for its creation. The consumer price index (CPI) increased over 11 percent in 1981-82, and over 12 percent in 1990-91. Similarly, sensitive price index (SPI) increased over 15 percent in 1981-82, and over 12 percent in 1990-91. The GDP deflator was also double-digit for several years. Inflation not only affects sectoral allocation and distribution of income but also generates poverty. A prescription might not be appropriate until the roots of the disease are carefully investigated, which is the very reason for carrying out this study. Studies by Hossain (1990) several others concluded that inflation is a monetary phenomenon in Pakistan, while Bilquees (1988) showed that structural factors explained the inflationary process in Pakistan. It is widely disagreed whether money supply is exogenous or endogenous. Vogel (1974), criticising the monetarist approach, argued that further research is needed on the determination of money supply. Given this background, this study is intended to identify the variables leading to inflation; the nature of money supply, endogenous or exogenous, is also analysed. Section 2 of the study provides a brief review of the literature. A model is developed to study the relationship among fiscal deficit, money supply, and inflation. Section 3 contains a description of the empirical results. Section 4 provides the conclusion and policy implications.

Abstract In this study, AISI 316L stainless steel alloy samples were borided with powder-pack boriding method using Ekabor II powder with the support of a microwave furnace with a power of 2.9 KW and a frequency of 2.45 GHz. Boriding was carried out at 850, 900 and 950 °C temperatures for 2, 4 and 6 h of operation. A distinct diffusion barrier consisting of Fe–Ni–Si elements was detected in borided samples at 950 °C for 4 and 6 h. As a result of the Daimler Benz Rockwell-C adhesion tests, regions with insufficient adhesion strength were detected in these samples. In other samples, adhesion qualities between boride layers and substrate were in the range of HF1–HF3. The lowest specific wear rates were determined as 5.208 (mm3 Nm−1) × 10−6 and 5.210 (mm3 Nm−1) × 10−6 for the samples borided for 6 h at 850 °C and 4 h at 900 °C, respectively. It was determined that the increase in thickness of the brittle FeB compound increased the wear with the three-body abrasive wear mechanism.

Abstract:

A mixed oxide system consisting of Nb2O5 and Ta2O5, was subjected to annealing in air/hydrogen up to 950 °C for 1–4 h to study its sintering behavior. The thermogravimetric–differential scanning calorimetry (TGA–DSC) thermograms indicated the formation of multiple endothermic peaks at temperatures higher than 925 °C. Subsequently, a 30% Ta2O5 and 70% Nb2O5 (mol%) pellet resulted in good sintering behavior at both 900 and 950 °C. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) images corroborated these observations with necking and particle coarsening. The sintered pellets contained a 20.4 and 20.8% mixed oxide (Nb4Ta2O15) phase, along with Ta2O5 and Nb2O5, at both 900 and 950 °C, indicating the possibility of the formation of a solid solution phase. In situ high-temperature X-ray diffraction (XRD) scans also confirmed the formation of the ternary oxide phase at 6 and 19.8% at 890 and 950 °C, respectively. The Hume–Rothery rules could explain the good sintering behavior of the Ta2O5 and Nb2O5 mixed oxides. An oxide composition of 30% Ta2O5 and 70% Nb2O5 (mol%) and a sintering temperature of 950 °C appeared adequate for fabricating well-sintered oxide precursors for subsequent electrochemical polarization studies in fused salts.
