The structures of Au(4-C≡CC6H4XYC6H4-4′-NO2)(PPh3) (XY = (E )-CH=CH (1), (Z)-CH=CH (2), C≡C (3), N=CH (4)) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses, refining by full-matrix least-squares analysis. For (1), crystals are triclinic, space group P-1, with a8·847(1), b 17·870(4), c 19·705(3) Å, α116·25(1), β 93·33(1), γ 92·64(2)˚, Z 4, 6747 unique reflections (703 parameters), converging at R 0·025 and Rw 0·029. For (2), crystals are monoclinic, space group P 21/a, with a 10·718(6), b 19·398(5), c14·469(3) Å, β 108·96(2)˚, Z 4, 3295 unique reflections (352 parameters), converging atR 0·040 and Rw 0·034. For (3), crystals are triclinic, space group P-1, with a 10·671(4), b 17·599(7), c 18·220(8) Å, α 116·31(3), β 105·00(4), γ 95·08(4)˚, Z 4, 4828 unique reflections (703 parameters), converging at R 0·043 and Rw 0·030. For (4), crystals are triclinic, space group P-1, with a 8·8314(6), b 17·834(2), c 20·001(2) Å, α 115·249(7), β 90·930(7), γ 94·082(7)˚, Z 4, 4724 unique reflections (703 parameters), converging at R 0·035 and Rw 0·034. Despite the [ligated metal donor]-bridge-[nitro acceptor] composition of these complexes, Au–C and C≡C distances are normal and consistent with minimal allenylidene contribution to the ground-state geometry. Within the 3σ confidence limits, the structural data do not provide evidence for π*-back-bonding in these complexes

The structures of (3S*,4S*,5S*,6S*)-3,4-epoxy-1,7-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecan-5-ol (2), (3R*,5S*,6S*)-1,7- dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane-3,5-diyl diacetate (4) and (4S*,5S*,6S*)-1,7-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane-4,5-diol (5) have been determined by X-ray crystallography. The unsubstituted tetrahydropyran ring in (2) adopts an axial position with respect to the epoxy-substituted ring and the hydroxy group at C5 is syn to the epoxide group. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding is observed between the C5 hydroxy group and O1. The two six-membered rings in (4) adopt chair conformations and the two acetate groups adopt 1,3-diaxial positions. The C5 hydroxy group in (5) assumes an axial position anti to the C-O bond of the neighbouring ring whilst 4-OH occupies an equatorial position. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding is also observed between 4-OH and 5-OH. Compound (5), C9H16O4, M 188·22, crystallized in the orthorhombic space group Pbca with a 25·504(3), b 8·909(2), c 8·038(2) Å, V 1826·4(5) QA 3 , No 1096 [I > 2·5s(I)], R 0·030, Rw 0·030.

Este artículo se propone estudiar la comunidad italiana de viajeros on line Ho sempre voglia di partire que, en solo dos años de vida, cuenta con más de 540 000 seguidores, más de 7 000 000 de visitas por mes y 2 700 000 interacciones. El objetivo es describir las interacciones presentes en la comunidad para desvelar las razones por las cuales los usuarios participan, los beneficios, reales y simbólicos que obtienen, y poder comprender las razones del éxito. A través de una triangulación de métodos el artículo desvela como la clave de todas las interacciones es la emoción y que, por lo tanto, los beneficios que los miembros obtienen son principalmente emocionales.

Abstract Ageism represents discrimination based on age, while ableism represents discrimination toward people with disabilities. Given the natural occurrence of physical decline accompanying aging, it is essential to explore how prejudice toward disability intersects with fear about aging. 913 individuals responded to a survey on ageism and ableism. Multiple regression with internalized ageism as the criterion variable was significant F(7, 705) = 81.71, p <.001. Overall, the regression model explained 44.8% of the variance in internalized ageism with significance for age (t(705) = -5.45, p < .001), relational ageism (t(705) = 11.72, p < .001), affinity for older people (t(705) = -2.77, p = .006), ableism for physical disability (t(705) = 6.88, p < .001), and ableism for cognitive disability (t(705) = -2.86, p = .004), Multiple regression with relational ageism as the criterion variable was significant F(7, 705) = 88.12, p <.001. Overall, the regression model explained 46.7% of the variance in relational ageism with a significant for affinity for older people (t(705) = -3.80, p < .001), internalized ageism (t(705) = 11.72, p < .001), relational ableism (t(705) = 6.73, p < .001), ableism for cognitive disability (t(705) = 2.15, p = .007), and ableism for sensory disability (t(705) = -2.78, p = .006). Examining the intersection between ageism and ableism represents the next critical juncture to increasing our understanding of developing effective anti-ageism interventions that address the root anxieties influencing attitudes about aging.

The Serang - Panimbang Toll Road is a means of supporting the Government's program to develop the Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone (KEK) which is one of the main priorities of the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) and for developing territorial potential by the local Regional Government. The Serang - Panimbang Toll Road will be connected to the Jakarta - Merak Toll Road. This study aims to analyze the thickness of the rigid pavement on the toll road using Bina Marga 2003 and AASHTO 1993 methods. The results obtained from this study are rigid pavement planning using a type of continuous cement concrete pavement without reinforcement. The results of the analysis of the concrete pavement calculation obtained a concrete plate thickness of 240 mm or 24 cm for the 2003 Bina Marga method, while for the 1993 AASHTO method a concrete plate thickness of 12.5 inches or 31.75 cm was obtained, with a sub-base layer on each method of 100 mm or 10 cm.

Purpose Improvements in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), total mesorectal excision (TME) surgery, and the use of (chemo)radiotherapy ([C]RT) have improved local control of rectal cancer; however, we have been unable to eradicate local recurrence (LR). Even in the face of TME and negative resection margins (R0), a significant proportion of patients with enlarged lateral lymph nodes (LLNs) suffer from lateral LR (LLR). Japanese studies suggest that the addition of an LLN dissection (LLND) could reduce LLR. This multicenter pooled analysis aims to ascertain whether LLNs actually pose a problem and whether LLND results in fewer LLRs. Patients and Methods Data from 1,216 consecutive patients with cT3/T4 rectal cancers up to 8 cm from the anal verge who underwent surgery in a 5-year period were collected. LLND was performed in 142 patients (12%). MRIs were re-evaluated with a standardized protocol to assess LLN features. Results On pretreatment MRI, 703 patients (58%) had visible LLN, and 192 (16%) had a short axis of at least 7 mm. One hundred eight patients developed LR (5-year LR rate, 10.0%), of which 59 (54%) were LLRs (5-year LLR rate, 5.5%). After multivariable analyses, LLNs with a short axis of at least 7 mm resulted in a significantly higher risk of LLR (hazard ratio, 2.060; P = .045) compared with LLNs of less than 7 mm. In patients with LLNs at least 7 mm, (C)RT plus TME plus LLND resulted in a 5-year LLR of 5.7%, which was significantly lower than that in patients who underwent (C)RT plus TME (5-year LLR, 19.5%; P = .042). Conclusion LLR is still a significant problem after (C)RT plus TME in LLNs with a short axis at least 7 mm on pretreatment MRI. The addition of LLND results in a significantly lower LLR rate.

En aquest estudi, emmarcat entre finals del s. XIX fins abans de la Guerra Civil, volem analitzar la relació que hi ha entre la societat barcelonina i els espectacles musicals als quals assistirà. Partim de la base que ens trobem dins d’un període convuls pel replantejament de les idees i els valors, fet que no solament trasbalsarà la vida quotidiana d’aquesta societat, sinó que també es farà patent un canvi que desembocarà en la creació de nous locals d’oci i diversió, els quals oferiran espectacles més d’acord amb la nova forma de pensar i viure i també més adients als gustos musicals i, en general, artístics que aquesta societat demana; tot això sota la influència de les noves tendències artístiques que marcarà París. També els estils musicals seran diferents, perquè harmonies trencadores provinents del Nou Continent confluiran a Europa i canviaran l’estètica musical fins llavors existent. Amb tot, volem arribar a demostrar que aquesta marea pertorbadora dins de l’àmbit social i musical acabarà interrelacionant-se i fusionant-se amb els models artístics ja existents, dels quals en sortirà una concepció musical nova, sense oblidar allò que anomenem “clàssic”.
El principal objetivo del presente estudio consiste en analizar la relación existente entre la sociedad barcelonesa y los espectáculos musicales a los que ésta asistirá, dentro del período de tiempo comprendido entre finales del s. XIX y el inicio de la Guerra Civil española. Se trata de un período convulso debido a un replanteamiento de las ideas y valores existentes y que, no solamente trastocará la vida cotidiana de esta sociedad sino que también se hará patente en la creación de nuevos locales de ocio y diversión que ofrecerán espectáculos que estarán más en consonancia con las nuevas formas de pensar y vivir y, también, con los gustos musicales y artísticos que la sociedad demanda. Todo ello bajo la influencia de las nuevas tendencias artísticas que marcará, principalmente, París. También los estilos musicales serán diferentes debido a armonías transgresoras que provendrán del Nuevo Continente; que confluirán en Europa y que cambiarán la estética musical predominante. En definitiva, se quiere llegar a demostrar que esta marea perturbadora, en el ámbito social y musical, acabará interrelacionándose y fusionándose con los modelos artísticos ya existentes, dando lugar a una nueva concepción musical sin, por ello, olvidar lo que se consideraba como “clásico”.
This study from the late nineteenth century to right before the outbreak of the Civil War aims to analyse the relationship between Barcelonese society and the musical performances they attended. It must be borne in mind that this is a particularly turbulent period marked by the reconsideration of existing ideas and values. Not only did these changes have a deep impact on the day-to-day life of Barcelonese society, but they also paved the way for the emergence of new leisure and entertainment venues which hosted shows more in line with a new way of thinking and living, and which met the musical, and more generally, the artistic demand of society. And all under the influence of new artistic trends determined by Paris. Musical styles changed because ground-breaking harmonies from the New World amalgamated in Europe, thus reshaping existing musical aesthetics. This study attempts to prove that this disruptive wave in the social and musical scene eventually interacted and merged with existing artistic models, resulting in a new musical conception, without putting aside what is considered ‘classic’.

Este relatório resulta da análise ao estágio, realizado no período de 10 de setembro a 21 de dezembro de 2012, no Centro de Saúde de Celorico de Basto, pertencente ao Agrupamento de Centros de Saúde Tâmega I - Baixo Tâmega, no âmbito da unidade curricular Estágio e Relatório que integra o Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Comunitária da Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Vila Real – Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, e procura descrever o seu contributo para o desenvolvimento das Competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Comunitária, de acordo com o Regulamento n.º 128/2011. Dos objetivos do estágio constam: aplicar os conhecimentos teóricos articulados com a componente prática, contribuir para desenvolvimento e consolidação das competências do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem comunitária, refletir sobre as práticas e as aprendizagens no contacto com a realidade e conceber, implementar e avaliar um projeto de intervenção com base no planeamento em saúde. Ao descrever o processo de aquisição de competências do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem comunitária tem por finalidade dar cumprimento a uma exigência pedagógica, contribuindo para a avaliação da unidade curricular. Neste sentido, com base na metodologia do Planeamento em Saúde, partiu-se de um diagnóstico de situação realizado através de um estudo transversal, descritivo, relativo às famílias com pessoas dependentes ao seu cuidado, da freguesia de Ourilhe, para a definição das prioridades em saúde. Reformulamos o projeto, para dar resposta a uma solicitação do Instituto de Solidariedade Social, promovendo o trabalho em parceria, e mantendo o foco no papel da família e da sociedade como suporte dos cuidados, e direcionamos o projeto para o Acolhimento Familiar. Daqui decorre o desenvolvimento da intervenção formativa: “Capacitar para cuidar: necessidades formativas dos cuidadores” (famílias de acolhimento), com o objetivo de promover a capacitação das famílias de acolhimento do concelho de Celorico de Basto para um melhor cuidar. Com base nas necessidades indicadas pelo Instituto da Segurança Social, definiram-se as prioridades. Concebemos o projeto “Capacitar para cuidar: necessidades formativas dos cuidadores”, para o qual formulamos objetivos gerais e específicos e estratégias face à priorização das necessidades. Decorrente da execução e avaliação da intervenção, podemos concluir pelos indicadores de resultado que contribuímos para a capacitação dos responsáveis de 6 famílias de acolhimento e para a obtenção de ganhos em conhecimento relativamente ao acolhimento familiar, gestão e controlo do stresse e prevenção da infeção e, consequentemente, para melhor cuidar. Desenvolvemos, ainda, atividades no âmbito da vigilância epidemiológica na Unidade de Saúde Pública do Agrupamento de Centros de Saúde.
This report results from the analysis of the traineeship conducted from September 10th to December 21st, 2012, at the Health Centre Celorico de Basto, belonging to the Health Centres Cluster Tâmega I - Baixo Tâmega, within the curriculum unit Traineeship and Report that integrates the Master's Degree in Community Nursing at the Nursing School of Vila Real (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro) and seeks to describe its contribution to the development of the skills of the specialist in community nursing, according to the regulation no. 128/2011. The aims of the traineeship include: to apply theoretical knowledge in coordination with the practical component; to contribute to the development and strengthening of the skills of the nurse specialist in community nursing; to reflect on practice and learning in contact with reality and to design, implement and assess an intervention project based on health planning. By describing the skills acquisition process underwent by the specialist in community nursing, the report aims at fulfilling a pedagogical demand, thus contributing to the evaluation of the curriculum unit. Therefore, based on the methodology of health care planning, we started from a situation diagnosis performed through a descriptive study concerning families with dependents to their care in the parish of Ourilhe, to setting priorities in health. We redesigned the project to respond to a request from the ISS, promoting partnership work and keeping the focus on the role of the family and society as a support care and we aimed the project at the foster family. From here follows the development of the training intervention Train to Care- training needs of foster families, with the goal of promoting the empowerment of families in the county of Celorico de Basto for better care. Based on the requirements specified by the ISS, priorities were defined. We designed the project Train to Care, for which we formulated general and specific goals and strategies, according to the prioritization of needs. Resulting from the implementation and evaluation of the intervention, we can conclude, from the outcome indicators, that we have contributed to the training of those responsible for 6 foster families and to a better knowledge of foster care, management, control of stress, prevention of infection and consequently, to better care. We‟ve also developed activities related to epidemiological surveillance at the public health unit of the Health Centres Cluster.

Die Stadtbiotopkartierung hat sich in Deutschland als die Methode zur Schaffung einer ökologischen Datenbasis für den urbanen Raum etabliert. Sie dient der Untersuchung naturschutzfachlicher Fragen, der Vertretung der Belange des Naturschutzes in zahlreichen räumlichen Planungsverfahren und ganz allgemein einer ökologisch orientierten Stadtplanung. Auf diese Weise kommen die Städte ihrem gesetzlichen Auftrag nach, Natur und Landschaft zu schützen, zu pflegen und zu entwickeln (§ 1 BNatSchG), den es explizit auch innerhalb der besiedelten Fläche zu erfüllen gilt. Ein Großteil der heute bestehenden 228 Stadtbiotoptypenkarten ist in der Etablierungsphase der Methode in den 80er Jahren entstanden und wurde häufig durch Landesmittel gefördert. Der Anteil der Städte, die jemals eine Aktualisierung durchgeführt haben, wird jedoch auf unter fünf Prozent geschätzt. Dies hängt vor allem mit dem hohen Kosten- und Zeitaufwand der Datenerhebung zusammen, die durch visuelle Interpretation von CIR-Luftbildern und durch Feldkartierungen erfolgt. Um die Aktualisierung von Stadtbiotoptypenkarten zu vereinfachen, wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit das Automatisierungspotenzial von Stadtbiotopkartierungen durch Nutzung von Fernerkundungsdaten untersucht. Der Kern der Arbeit besteht in der Entwicklung einer Methode, die einen wichtigen Arbeitsschritt der Stadtbiotopkartierung automatisiert durchführt: Die Erkennung des Biotoptyps von Biotopen. Darüber hinaus zeigt die Arbeit das Automatisierungspotenzial bei der flächenhaften Erhebung von quantitativen Parametern und Indikatoren zur ökologischen Bewertung von Stadtbiotopen auf. Durch die automatische Biotoptypenerkennung kann die Überprüfung und Aktualisierung einer Biotoptypenkarte in weiten Teilen der Stadt automatisiert erfolgen, wodurch der Zeitaufwand reduziert wird. Das entwickelte Verfahren kann in den bestehenden Ablauf der Stadtbiotopkartierung integriert werden, indem zunächst die Kartierung ausgewählter Biotoptypen automatisch erfolgt und die verbleibenden Flächen der Stadt durch visuelle Luftbildinterpretation und Feldbegehung überprüft und zugeordnet werden. Die thematische Einteilung der Biotoptypen orientiert sich im urbanen Raum in erster Linie an der anthropogenen Nutzung, da diese den dominierenden Faktor für die biologische Ausstattung der Biotope darstellt. Die entwickelte Methode eignet sich vor allem zur Erkennung von baulich geprägten Biotopen, da die Nutzung - und dadurch der Biotoptyp einer Fläche - durch eine automatische Analyse der Geoobjekte innerhalb der Biotopfläche ermittelt werden kann. Die Geoobjekte wiederum können durch eine Klassifizierung von multisensoralen Fernerkundungsdaten (hyperspektrale Flugzeugscannerdaten und digitale Oberflächenmodelle) identifiziert werden. Die Analyse der Geoobjekte und der urbanen Oberflächenarten innerhalb der Biotopfläche erfolgt anhand von räumlichen, morphologischen und quantitativen Merkmalen. Auf Basis dieser Merkmale wurden zwei Varianten eines automatischen Biotopklassifizierers entwickelt, die unter Verwendung von Fuzzy Logik und eines neu entwickelten, paarweise arbeitenden Maximum Likelihood Klassifizierers (pMLK) implementiert wurden. Für die bisher implementierten 10 Biotoptypen, die zusammen etwa die Hälfte des Stadtgebiets abdecken, wurde eine Erkennungsgenauigkeit von über 80 % ermittelt. Der pMLK wurde erfolgreich in zwei Städten (Berlin, Dresden) erprobt, wodurch seine Übertragbarkeit nachgewiesen werden konnte.

The use of non-prescription drugs is widespread and has a major impact on the health of the individual user and society. In 2006, the British Crime Survey reported that 10% of adults had used one or more illicit drugs in the preceding year, with 3% reporting using a Class A drug. Over 11 million people in the UK are estimated to have used an illicit drug at least once in their lifetime (35%). Drugs abused vary in their intrinsic potential to cause addiction and, with it, more regular and harmful use. Drug users are influenced by trends and fashions, adopting new compounds such as crack cocaine and experimenting with routes of ingestion. Some drugs may become less popular over time, such as LSD, while others, such as cannabis, experience a revival as more potent strains (e.g. Skunk) are developed. A problem drug user is best defined as a person whose drug taking is no longer controlled or undertaken for recreational purposes and where drugs have become a more essential element of the individual’s life. The true economic and social cost of drug use is likely to be substantially greater than the published figures, which are derived from a variety of health and crime surveys which may overlook vulnerable groups such as the homeless. The majority of non-prescription drugs used in the UK are illegal and covered by the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. The drugs most commonly abused gave rise in 2003–4 to an estimated financial cost in England and Wales of 15.4 billion pounds to the economy, with Class A drugs such as heroin and cocaine accounting for the majority of this. Some 90% of the cost is due to drug-related crime, with only 3% (£488 million) due to health service expenditure, which is mainly spent on inpatient care episodes. This still represents a major health pressure, which in 2006–7 amounted to 38 000 admissions, in England, for primary and secondary drug-related mental or behavioural problems, and over 10 000 admissions recorded for drug poisoning. Clinicians in all specialities can expect to encounter harmful drug use, especially those working in primary care, A & E, and psychiatric services. Presenting problems are protean, ranging from mood disorders, delirium, and psychosis to sepsis, malnutrition, and hepatitis. Blood-borne infections such as hepatitis C and HIV are widespread, as contaminated needles and syringes are shared by up to a quarter of problem drug users. Even smoking drugs such as crack cocaine can lead to increased transmission of hepatitis C through oral ulceration and contact with hot contaminated smoking pipes. Amongst the UK population, over half of IV drug users have hepatitis C, a quarter have antibodies to hepatitis B, and, by 2006, 4662 had been diagnosed with HIV. Non-prescription drug abuse is a leading cause of death and morbidity amongst the young adult population (those aged 16–35). In 2006 there were 1573 deaths where the underlying cause was poisoning, drug abuse, or dependence on substances controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act. The vast majority (79%) were male. Young men, in particular, are at greater risk of violent death through associated criminal activity such as drug supplying and from deliberate and accidental overdose. The male-to-female ratio for deaths associated with mental and behavioural disorder is 6:1.

AbstractThe experience of the development of inclusive education strategies in various countries has been the source of various conceptions and practices, which have gradually evolved into the axis of the education policy of the late twentieth and early twenty-first century. This chapter presents an overlook of insights that are significant for the practical implementation of inclusive education and substantiated by scientific research. As the perception of inclusive education developed from meeting special educational needs in general schools (Florian. Int J Incl Educ 23(7–8): 691–704. 10.1080/13603116.2019.1622801, 2019) to recognising the variety of needs of all students (Meyer et al. Universal design for learning: theory and practice. CAST, 2014), the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach was presented to the pedagogical circles. AbstractBiomass Burning (BB) aerosol has attracted considerable attention due to its detrimental effects on climate through its radiative properties. In Africa, fire patterns are anticorrelated with the southward-northward movement of the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ). Each year between June and September, BB occurs in the southern hemisphere of Africa, and aerosols are carried westward by the African Easterly Jet (AEJ) and advected at an altitude of between 2 and 4 km. Observations made during a field campaign of Dynamics-Aerosol-Chemistry-Cloud Interactions in West Africa (DACCIWA) (Knippertz et al., Bull Am Meteorol Soc 96:1451–1460, 2015) during the West African Monsoon (WAM) of June–July 2016 have revealed large quantities of BB aerosols in the Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) over southern West Africa (SWA).This chapter examines the effects of the long-range transport of BB aerosols on the climate over SWA by means of a modeling study, and proposes several adaptation and mitigation strategies for policy makers regarding this phenomenon. A high-resolution regional climate model, known as the Consortium for Small-scale Modelling – Aerosols and Reactive Traces (COSMO-ART) gases, was used to conduct two set of experiments, with and without BB emissions, to quantify their impacts on the SWA atmosphere. Results revealed a reduction in surface shortwave (SW) radiation of up to about 6.5 W m−2 and an 11% increase of Cloud Droplets Number Concentration (CDNC) over the SWA domain. Also, an increase of 12.45% in Particulate Matter (PM25) surface concentration was observed in Abidjan (9.75 μg m−3), Accra (10.7 μg m−3), Cotonou (10.7 μg m−3), and Lagos (8 μg m−3), while the carbon monoxide (CO) mixing ratio increased by 90 ppb in Abidjan and Accra due to BB. Moreover, BB aerosols were found to contribute to a 70% increase of organic carbon (OC) below 1 km in the PBL, followed by black carbon (BC) with 24.5%. This work highlights the contribution of the long-range transport of BB pollutants to pollution levels in SWA and their effects on the climate. It focuses on a case study of 3 days (5–7 July 2016). However, more research on a longer time period is necessary to inform decision making properly.This study emphasizes the need to implement a long-term air quality monitoring system in SWA as a method of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Bebidas alcoólicas fermentadas, são alternativas para apresentação comercial de algumas frutas, tais como, abacaxi, acerola, maçã e melancia, frutas que que tem grande potencial para processamento, vistas suas características sensoriais, nutricionais e tecnológicas. Nesse sentido o presente estudo tem por objetivo desenvolver, caracterizar e avaliar a cinética de bebidas alcoólicas fermentadas a base de abacaxi, acerola, maçã e melancia. Para o desenvolvimento das bebidas, as frutas foram adquiridas na feira livre do município de Nossa Senhora da Gloria – SE, estas foram selecionadas, higienizadas, despolpadas, e utilizadas para preparo dos mostos utilizados como base para os processos fermentativos. Foram realizadas as análises de Sólidos Solúveis Totais (SST), pH, Acidez Titulável Total (ATT), diariamente e ao final do processo para caracterizar as bebidas. Foi possível acompanhar o processo de fermentação e criar curvas referente a cinética. Ao final dos processos fermentativos foi possível obter bebidas alcoólicas fermentadas de abacaxi, acerola, maçã e melancia com os seguintes valores de SST(°Brix) 7 ± 0,0; 9,37 ± 0,1; 7,9 ± 0,0 e 7,07 ± 0,0; para pH 3,5 ± 0,10; 4,35± 0,0; 3,3 ± 0,1 e 3,8 ± 0,0; ATT(meq/L) 60,81 ± 0,2; 145,2 ± 0,1; 80,51 ± 0,4 e 59,17 ± 0,0 e teor alcoólico (°GL) de 7,74 ± 0,0; 6,6± 0,1; 7,87 ± 0,0 e 7,87 ± 0,0. Foi possível obter fermentados alcoólicos dentro dos padrões estabelecidos e comparáveis a outro fermentado descritos na literatura, reforçando que a elaboração desse tipo de produto é uma alternativa viável para aproveitamento de frutas.

Abstract Disorders of menstruation resulting in excessive menstrual loss, or menorrhagia, affect up to 20 per cent of otherwise healthy women. At a rate of 20-30 per 1000 these women will seek the help of primary care physicians and when referred to gynaecologists they will represent up to 12 per cent of all gynaecological consultations (Bradlow et al. 1992). The health care costs of abnormal menstruation and associated anaemia, when related to loss of productivity in the work force and home and utilization of medical services, are considerable even before expenditure is considered for investigating and treating this disorder. Medication prescribed for women suffering from menorrhagia for 1993 in England and Wales resulted in 821 700 prescriptions at a cost of £7 176 596. In the same year 128 000 diagnostic procedures and 73 000 hysterectomies were performed for the management of menorrhagia (Nuffield Institute for Health 1995).

On 9 June 1603, an experimental investigator in materia medica, Girolamo Ferrante from Orvieto, was authorised by the local authorities to sell an antidote of his own manufacture: known as the Orvietano, made from more than 30 ingredients, most of them vegetable. The Orvietano was immediately an extraordinary success with the public, of the most varied social extraction. It was popular with ordinary people because of the way it was sold – often in market stalls in piazzas or in family-run shops, as happened in Venice from 1623 on. But it was also sought after by the elites: the Medici of Florence produced it themselves, while the court of Spain, the English nobility, the Sun King Louis XIV and many others consumed it habitually, in small doses, to prevent poisoning and to invigorate the body. Explorers and missionaries, from the Americas to China, also brought the ‘Orvietano’ with them to treat snake bites (by asperging the wound, once the superficial part of the bite had been removed) and to resolve frequent digestive disorders. The ‘Orvietano’ approved by the health authorities also entered the official pharmacopoeias of Europe – the texts that collected the prescriptions for medicines sold in apothecaries’ shops, to which the apothecaries had to strictly adhere. In fact, the jars used in the shops (the so-called albarelli), on which the words ‘Orvietano’ or ‘Orvietan’ stand out, can still be found in the antiquarian market. Its success, however, led to many counterfeits of the recipe and its sale by charlatans and actors on improvised stages. It became a cultural phenomenon, quoted by illustrious authors, reproduced on ceramics and tapestries, featured in painted or engraved scenes or on postcards, and so forth. The exhibition showcase displayed items collected by Lamberto Bernardini, who retrieved the original recipe for the antidote from archival sources in Orvieto, examined it in collaboration with chemists and pharmacists, and re-proposed it, with variations that made it a herbal amaro (http://www.lorvietan.com/laboratorio/).

This short catalogue was created to commemorate the exhibition held at the conclusion of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie project based at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The idea of a conference or, alternatively, an exhibition to close the project was envisaged at the earliest stage of planning, in 2018. Almost unintentionally, however, although the events were proposed as alternatives, both ended up being organised, for different reasons. While a conference of this type is inevitably specialised, an exhibition can appeal to a wider and more varied audience and, after the ravages of COVID-19, it is perhaps among those events that best meets the need to return to normal life and activities. Research was heavily conditioned by the closure of archives and libraries, which were essential for finding historical sources; seminars, workshops and conferences could only be held online, with the loss of that direct contact and exchange, particularly of an informal nature, which are a corollary to both research – how many things are learnt in the corridors and not only on the desks of archives and libraries! – and to any form of dissemination and popularisation. This is also how the desire arose to set up an exhibition as soon as in-person attendance became possible again, namely in the concluding phase of MAT-MED in Transit. The Transforming Knowledge of Healing Plants.

Truck drivers play a fundamental role in the economic development of the entire country by transporting essential elements to supply cities, such as food. As a result, these drivers suffer a lot of pressure and stress for the arrival of these loads and therefore feel the need to drive without stopping or resting, being led to use psychoactive drugs to stay awake and endure the long workday. In view of this, this work aims to identify the consumption of licit and illicit drugs among truck drivers who travel along the BR-010 stretch in municipalities in the Tocantina region and to investigate the drugs most used by truck drivers. For this, a descriptive and exploratory research was used, a field research with the application of a form with semi-structured questions, carried out in two gas stations located in the city of Imperatriz-MA. Twenty (100%) male truck drivers were analyzed, with an average age of 22 to 70 years, working in this profession for 18.34 years and driving about 16.3 hours a day. Among the drugs, the most used was alcohol, being ingested by 95% (19) of those analyzed, followed by rivet with 55% (11), cocaine 50% (10) and marijuana 35% (7), ecstasy 20% ( 4), morphine 10% (2) and heroin 10% (2). The main reason for consuming these substances was to stay awake 40% (8). With this, there is a need to implement public policies with a multidisciplinary team to make truck drivers aware of the risks that the use of these drugs can cause to their health and, even, put the lives of other people in danger through traffic accidents.

Fabrication of the relief focusing elements are known to include the illumination of light sensitive materials through computer generated /l/ multy-grey-level amplitude mask with corresponding amplitude function of the focusing element /2,3/. In this report the use of dry photopolymer films (see /4/) is discussed. The photopolymer films based on the acrylamide (monomer), polyvinylalcohol (binder), methylene blue (sensitizer) and triethanolamine (initiator) were prepared according to the procedure previously described /4/. The exposure set up used is shown on the fig.1. The photosensitive layer provided sensitivity in the 600-700 nm spectral region, so as a light source 1 the 3 00 Watt halogen lamp with the reflector 2 was used. The filter 3 absorbed the heat radiation to prevent the amplitude mask damaging. The parallel beam at the output was formed by lenses 4. Polymer layer 7 was placed on the glass substrate 8. The direct contact of polymer layer and amplitude mask 6 was provided by glass substrate 5. Polymer layer thickness was 100 μm.

Background: COVID-19 had a huge impact on the wellbeing of healthcare workers (HCWs). This is well documented during the first peak of the pandemic. With cases in the UK rising for a third peak, hospitalisations and deaths surpassing the first, there is very little known about the mental health of HCWs during this time. Methods: Using a questionnaire, data was collected from patient-facing staff at Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Trust to quantify and compare the period prevalence of symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD during the first peak (P1: March-May 2020) and third peak (P3: December 2020-Feburary 2021) of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as wellbeing service use, demographics of responders and what they found most difficult during the peaks. Results: Of 158 responders, only 22·4% felt they had enough access to wellbeing services during P1 and 21·5% in P3. Of those who used wellbeing services 34·4% found them useful in P1 and 34·6% in P3. 70·3% of responders felt that not enough was done for staff wellbeing. The median anxiety score decreased from P1 (10(range 5-17)) to P3 (8(range 4-16)) p=0·031. Under 30-year-olds’ depression and PTSD scores increased from P1 to P3 (depression: P1 7(1-11), P3 8(3-14), p=0·048, PTSD: P1 4(0-7) peak 3 5(2-9), p=0·037). Several groups showed a decrease in anxiety scores from P1 to P3 including; over 30-year-olds (P1 10(5-17), P3 7(3-15) p=0·002), BME responders (P1 8(3·75-15) P3 6·5(1-12) p=0·006), AHP (P1 14(7-19), P3 11(5-19) p=0·005), ITU workers (P1 15(8-18·25) P3 12(5·75-18·25) p=0·004), and those who were redeployed (P1 8(5-18·25), P3 5(2-14·75), p=0·032). Conclusion: We have observed changes in mental health symptoms within the study population as the peaks of the pandemic continue. With the majority of responders reporting they felt not enough had been done for their wellbeing support - and of those who used the wellbeing services only around 1/3 felt they were useful - we hope that this paper can help inform wellbeing provision and identify groups at higher risk of developing mental health symptoms.

8+fjordar-området är topografiskt väldigt varierande. Vattenutbytet är långsamt och tillförseln av näringsämnen stor. Största delen av näringsämnen stannar kvar i fjordarna. Mest i Havstens- och Hakefjordar där 40-50 % av den lokala näringstillförseln stannar kvar. Utsläppen från jordbruk och skogsbruk är stora i 8+fjordar-området. T.ex. står dessa för 62 % av kvävetillförseln och 69 % av fosfortillförseln till Byfjorden. Men utsläpp från punktkällor direkt till havet är också betydande (21 % av kvävetillförseln och 19 % av fosfortillförseln till Byfjorden). Man har genom en mängd olika tilltag de senaste decennierna försökt sänka utsläppen av kväve och fosfor och även om koncentrationerna av kväve och fosfor fortsatt är höga har halterna av främst kväve sjunkit i 8+fjordar-området. De stora utsläppen av näringsämnen ökar växtplanktonproduktionen och när denna sjunker till botten och bryts ner av bakterier orsakar det syrebrist och höga koncentrationer av giftigt svavelväte i de djupare delarna av fjordarna. I de grundare delarna av fjordsystemet finns grunda vikar med ålgräsängar, blåmusselbankar och klippkuster med tångskogar. Dessa biotoper har förändrats under de senaste decennierna med en ökande påväxt av fintrådiga alger. Den pelagiska miljön (de fria vattenmassorna) är främst påverkad av avrinning av sötvatten från älvar och åar och av inflöde av salthaltigt vatten från Skagerrak genom Marstrandsfjorden och norrut i fjordsystemet. Närsaltkoncentrationen är hög i hela vattenpelaren vilket ses speciellt för nitrat. Detta ger förhöjda klorofyllkoncentrationer även om dessa alltså har minskat betydligt under de senaste decennierna. 8+fjordar-området har länge haft höga koncentrationer av giftiga dinoflagellater, men de senaste decennierna har giftalgsblomningarna minskat betydligt. De flesta områden uppnår nu minst god ekologisk status avseende vinterkoncentrationer av totalt kväve med undantag för By-, Havstens-, Askerö- och Älgöfjordar. Status för växtplankton klassas som hög i nästan hela området. År 2006 kom den amerikanska kammaneten Mnemiopsis leidyi till svenska västkusten. Den är en effektiv predator på djurplankton och kan vissa år minska djurplanktonbiomassan avsevärt under hösten. Detta kan ha allvarliga konsekvenser för överlevnad av fisk och fisklarver som livnär sig på djurplankton. De allra flesta fiskarter livnär sig på djurplankton i larvstadiet. Den bentiska miljön innefattar livsmiljön från de djupa mjukbottnarna till tångskogarnas och ålgräsängarnas topp. 8+fjordar-områdets bentiska miljö kännetecknas av klippstränder med hårdbottnar beväxta med bland annat snärjtång, blåstång, sågtång, sockertång och fintrådiga alger, där blåmusslor och andra evertebrater lever och de djupare delarna täcks av fastsittande bentiska evertebrater som till exempel havsanemoner och havsnejlikor. De djupare sedimentbottnarna hyser grävande evertebrater som livnär sig på den biomassa som sjunker ner från pelagialen. Här dominerar havsborstmasken Scalibregma inflatum, slätbukig Sammanfattning trådormstjärna och pepparmussla. Vatten från Skagerrak strömmar in i 8+fjordarområdet söderifrån och de södra bassängerna inklusive Hake- och Askeröfjordar är normalt syresatta under hela året även i sina djupaste delar, medan de djupa delarna av de nordligare Kalvö-, Borgile-, Koljö- och Byfjordar samt även Havstensfjorden ofta präglas av långvarig syrebrist. I dessa områden försvinner bottenfaunan ofta helt eller befinner sig i någon fas av återkolonisering efter vattenutbyten. Den bentiska miljön hade bättre ekologisk status under 1980- och 90-talet än under det tidiga 2000-talet. De flesta åren därefter visar måttlig status i Hake-, Halse- och Havstensfjordar. I de grunda vikarna har mängden fintrådiga alger ökat betydligt sedan slutet på 1990-talet. Dessa alger bildar påväxt på ålgräs och tång och täta mattor av ruttnande alger på botten vilket försvagar ålgräs och tång och orsaker lokal syrebrist i ängarna. Dessa alger har ökat i biomassa delvis på grund av avsaknaden av betande evertebrater (t.ex. märlkräftor) som i sin tur har minskat i antal eftersom mesopredatorer som t.ex. strandkrabba och läppfiskar har ökat när deras predatorer, som t.ex. torsk, har fiskats bort. Utbredningen av ålgräs i 8+fjordar-området har minskat ganska dramatiskt de senaste decennier, speciellt kring Kungälv och Uddevalla där 80–85% av arean har försvunnit. Status för ålgräs och tång är otillfredsställande eller måttlig i nästan hela 8+fjordar-området. Fiskbestånden i 8+fjordar-området har varit överfiskade under lång tid och liksom i Västerhavets övriga kuststområden är förekomsten av större bottenlevande fisk, främst torskfiskar, mycket reducerad i 8+fjordar-området. Det fanns ett betydande fiske av torsk, näbbgädda, rödspotta, sill och skarpsill i området på 1960- talet men 2004–2008 hade de flesta fisken kollapsat med undantag av fisket på sill och skarpsill som fortfarande fiskas även on mängden landad sill har minskat betydligt från 2014 till 2021. Av alla fångster av sill och skarpsill fiskades i genomsnitt 14 % av sillen och 87 % av skarpsillen med lysfiske. SLU:s undersökningar visar dessvärre inte på någon återhämtning av fiskbestånden under de senaste 20 åren, trots att det riktade fisket efter flera av dessa arter stoppats och det införts ett fiskefritt område i Havstensfjorden. Genetiska studier visar dock att det fortfarande finns ett lokalt lekande bestånd av torsk i området och det har observerats bättre rekryteringar 2016 och 2019. Sportfisket efter havsöring är betydande, men störst är fisket efter makrill både med spö och med dörj. Det finns ingen officiell statistik på landningar men i Fiskeriverkets rapport från 1999 angavs att fritidsfiskets sammanlagda fångster översteg yrkesfiskets för lax och havsöring och vissa arter av plattfisk. Det finns en del vattenbruk i 8+fjordar-området. Företaget Scanfjord är störst, med blåmusselodlingar i yttre Stigfjorden, Havstensfjorden och Koljöfjorden. En rad andra aktörer har odlingar främst i norra delen av 8+fjordar-området och företaget Marine Taste odlar sjöpungar nära Stenungsund. Sjöfåglar är viktiga länkar mellan näringsvävar i havet och på land och de kan vara bra indikatorer på förändringar i de marina ekosystemen. Efter mitten av 1990- talet har ejderpopulationen minskat till hälften och arten är numera (2020) rödlistad som ”starkt hotad” (EN) i både Sverige och Europa. Strandskatan har minskat med omkring 40 % i Sverige de senaste 30 åren och är sedan 2020 rödlistad som "nära hotad" (NT). Troliga faktorer för dessa två arters minskning är minskad mängd och/eller kvalitet, inklusive vitaminbrist, på bytesdjur, ökad utbredning av syrefria bottnar, klimatförändringar, predation och sjukdom. Stora förändringar har också ägt rum hos många måsfågelbestånd de senaste 20–30 åren. Fisktärna och silltrut (på västkusten) har klarat sig bra, medan övriga måsfåglar minskat så kraftigt att de blivit rödlistade. Bestånden av grågås, kanadagås och vitkindad gås har ökat kraftigt de senaste 30 åren. Tillgången på höst- och vintergröna grödor har ökat genom ändrat jordbruk och varmare och snöfattigare vintrar vilket har gynnat gässen. Storskarven var tidigare utdöd i Sverige men under 1980- och 1990-talet spred sig skarven längs den svenska kusten och i 8+fjordar-området etablerades de första kolonier i början av 2000-talet. Det finns ingen regelbunden inventering av storskarv i Sverige men år 2021 räknades 1300 bon i 7 kolonier från Nordre Älvs mynning i söder till Havstensfjord i norr, absoluta majoriteten väster om OrustTjörn. I 8+fjordar-området är storskarvens vanligaste byten smörbult och plattfisk, men även andelen torskfisk och sötvattensfisk är betydande. Knubbsäl, gråsäl och tumlare förekommer i 8+fjordar-området. Knubbsäl och tumlare är de överlägset vanligaste marina däggdjuren medan antalet gråsälar är betydligt färre. Efter att jakten förbjöds och sälarna skyddades, samtidigt som mängden miljögifter minskade, började sälpopulationen längs västkusten återhämta sig under 1980-talet. Knubbsälpopulationen har ökat sedan dess även om virussjukdom (Phocine Distemper Virus, PDV) reducerade antalet betydligt år 1988 och 2002. Under 2010-talets senare hälft uppskattades antalet knubbsälar i Västerhavet till över 20 000 djur. I 8+fjordar-området vistas de flesta sälar på utsidan Orust och Tjörn med mycket färre sälar i själva 8+fjordar-området. Prover insamlade 2015-2016 visade att knubbsälens födoval är helt dominerat av plattfisk (viktandel >70 %) följt av sill, rötsimpa och vitling. Miljögifter finns i stora koncentrationer i vissa delar av 8+fjordar-området, främst i Byfjorden där föroreningar från hamnen länge har varit stora och kring Stenungsund där utsläpp från den kemiska industrin dominerar. Men inom 8+fjordar-området finns även ett stort antal mindre båtvarv och marinor som genom åren har bidragit till giftiga utsläpp främst från båtbottenfärg. I Byfjorden har bottensedimenten höga eller mycket höga koncentrationer av olja, polycykliska aromatiska kolväten (PAH) och PCB. Där är koncentrationerna av TBT, som tidigare användes i båtbottenfärg, och dess två nerbrytningsprodukter DBT och MBT mycket höga. Flera metaller så som zink, kadmium, koppar och nickel finns också i höga koncentrationer. Kvicksilver- och PBDE-halten i blåmusslor överskrider Vattendirektivets gränsvärde för fisk. Dessa föroreningar finns också i Havstensfjorden och Halsefjorden men i lägre koncentrationer. Kring Stenungsund är bottensedimentens halter av hexaklorbensen (HCB) höga eller mycket höga men det avspeglas dock inte i förhöjda HCB-halter i blåmusslor från samma område. Halterna av DBT och MBT är också höga här, medan halterna av TBT inte är förhöjda. Kopparhalten i sediment från Stenungsundsområdet är förhöjda och på en lokal är de långt över Vattendirektivets gränsvärde. Även koncentrationen av PBDE i blåmussla överstiger vattendirektivets gränsvärde. Blåstång från en lokal vid nordvästra Stenungsön har höga eller mycket höga koncentrationer av kadmium, arsenik och koppar. I syrefria bottnar förekommer ingen omblandning av sedimentet av infauna såsom havsborstmaskar vilket gör att lagrade ämnen inte i så hög utsträckning frigörs till vattnet och miljögifter koncentreras som mest i dessa områden. Nedbrytningshastigheten av organiska miljögifter är också betydligt långsammare i en syrefattig miljö än i en syrerik och det kan ta många decennier att bryta ned gifterna. Om syrefria bottnar innehållande miljögifter åter syresätts och omblandningen sätts igång, är det därför risk för kontaminering av kringliggande vatten. Mikroplast som härstammar från den lokala plastindustrin finns i större mängder i bottensedimenten kring Stenungsund. En studie visade att minst 3 miljoner och i värsta fall 36 miljoner polyetylenpellets större än 2 mm, motsvarande 73–730 kg, släpps ut via Stenunge å årligen. När mindre fraktioner ner till 300 µm inkluderades i mätningarna var det totala partikelantalet hundrafaldigt högre. Dessa partiklar har direkt effekt på djur och växter i fjorden. Elfiskeundersökningar visade att 62 % av öring fångade i Stenunge å hade plastpartiklar i magen. Flera invasiva arter har etablerat sig i 8+fjordar-området de senaste decennierna. Den amerikanska kammaneten Mnemiopsis leidyi finns i stora mängder sensommar och höst under de flesta år. Under år med dessa maneter kan de äta upp största delen av djurplanktonbiomassan vilket skapar problem för fisklarver som livnär sig på detta plankton. Stillahavsostronet eller det japanska jätteostronet har observerats på stränder i hela 8+fjordar-området. Dessa ostron kan tränga undan blåmussla när det bildas stora ostronbankar och de europeiska ostronen kan smittas av nya typer av parasiter. Ostronens skal är också vassa och kan orsaka skador på människor som går på bottnen i grunda områden. Mellan 20 och 40 % av 8+fjordar-områdets kustlinje är bebyggd inom 100 meters avstånd till vattenlinjen. I Kungälv och på Tjörn och Orust har bebyggd kustlinje fördubblats på bara 10 år trots förbud mot uppförande av nya byggnader närmre än 100 meter från strandlinjen enligt strandskyddslagstiftningen. 20–25 % av kusten i dessa kommuner är nu bebyggd. Friluftslivet till sjöss har också ökat kraftigt under senare år. Intervjuundersökningar visar att det under 2004 uppskattningsvis fanns totalt 26 600 båtar på svenska västkusten men att antalet har fyrdubblats fram till 2010. Denna ökning av mänsklig närvaro stör på många olika sätt. Pirar eller bryggor kan störa djurs naturliga migrationsrutter längs kusten, speciellt i topografiskt komplexa områden som 8+fjordar-området och större strukturer som t.ex. brofästen eller bortsprängningar och utgrävningar kan ändra vattengenomströmningen. I 8+fjordar-området kan det ha extra stor effekt eftersom vattenutbytet är naturligt långsamt. Fåglar störs kraftigt av snabbgående båtar. Många fåglar undviker ofta platser med mycket trafik under ruggningen och på rastoch övervintringslokaler kan störningar från båtar leda till att de oftare tar till flykt med energiförluster som följd. Marint skräp är ett särskilt stort problem i Bohuslän där stora mängder makroskräp driver i land på grund av havsströmmarna (Jutska strömmen). Detta är faktiskt ett av Europas mest nedskräpade marina områden. 96 % av det marina skräpet längs stränderna i Bohuslän utgörs av plastartiklar, och det vanligaste är snören och linor som till allra största del kommer från fisket. Effekter av skräp på det marina djurlivet är väldokumenterade, t ex insnärjning av marina djur och intag av skräpföremål av fåglar, fiskar och evertebrater. Förlorade tinor, garn och ryssjor utgör också en betydande del av skräpet. Efter intervjuundersökningar uppskattades antalet förlorade hummertinor till 3900 per år på västkusten bara från fritidsfisket. Förlorade fiskredskap fiskar vidare och studier har visat att så mycket som 163 800 humrar och krabbtaskor fångas per år på västkusten i detta spökfiske. Klimatförändringarna leder till att haven runt Sverige blir allt varmare, att kustnära vatten utsötas när nederbörden ändras och att haven försuras när ökade mängder koldioxid tas upp i havet. Varmare vatten tar upp mer plats så havsnivån stiger med stigande temperatur och detta förvärras när polernas fastlandsisar smälter. I 8+fjordar-området ökar ytvattentemperaturen fyra gångar så snabbt som den globala medeluppvärmningen och enligt SMHI har temperaturen ökat med 3,5 °C sedan 1960. Salthalt och skiktning förändras i kustnära miljöer när nederbörden varierar. I svenska kustnära marina miljöer har saliniteten minskat under perioden från 1992, då mätningarna började, fram till ca 2010, men under de senare åren har den ökat så mycket att den nu är tillbaka på samma nivå som 1990. En tredjedel av den koldioxid som släpps ut absorberas av världens hav där den bildar kolsyra. Under industrialiseringen har det globala medel-pH minskat från cirka 8,11 till 8,06, en minskning som motsvarar en ökning i surhet med 30 %. Det finns ingen marin övervakning av pH i 8+fjordar-området men data från danska fjordar visar en försurning som är dubbel så snabb som globala medelvärdet. Av alla belastningar relaterade till klimatförändringarna är det temperaturökningen som har störst effekt på djur och växter i havet. Först och främst förflyttas utbredningsområden för djur och växter mot norr. Torsken i Skagerrak/Kattegatt föredrar temperaturer som är låga jämfört med de medeltemperaturer de upplever i området i dag och den temperaturökningen vi ser i 8+fjordar-området minskar därför torskens lekmöjlighet i området. Ålgräs påverkas också av ökande temperaturer och studier visar att en 5 °C ökning minskar ålgräsets skottäthet. Havsförsurning påverkar främst bottnens kalcifierande arter som kräftdjur, blötdjur och tagghudingar. Till exempel har det visat sig att sjöborrelarvers utveckling försämras av även mycket små minskningar i pH och bottensamhällen påverkas så att både artrikedom och antal individer minskar under försurning.
