Abstract:

Intestinal epithelial barrier function is closely associated with the development of many intestinal diseases. Heat-killed Lacticaseibacillus paracasei (HK-LP) has been shown to improve intestinal health and enhance immunity. However, the function of HK-LP in the intestinal barrier is still unclear. This study characterized the inflammatory effects of seven HK-LP (1 μg/mL) on the intestinal barrier using lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (100 μg/mL)-induced Caco-2 cells. In this study, HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 were selected, and their effects on the modulation of inflammatory factors and tight junction protein expression (claudin-1, zona occludens-1, and occludin) were compared. The effect of different cultivation times (18 and 48 h) was investigated in response to LPS-induced intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction. Our results showed that HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 improved LPS-induced intestinal barrier permeability reduction and transepithelial resistance. Furthermore, HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 inhibited the pro-inflammatory factors (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6) and increased the expression of the anti-inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-10, and TGF-β). HK-LP 6105, 6115, and 6235 ameliorated the inflammatory response. It inhibited the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway-mediated myosin light chain (MLC)/MLC kinase signaling pathway by downregulating the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/NF-κB pathway. Thus, the results suggest that HK-LP 6150, 6115, and 6235 may improve intestinal health by regulating inflammation and TJ proteins. Postbiotics produced by these strains exhibit anti-inflammatory properties that can protect the intestinal barrier.

Abstract:

In this paper, a structure-specified mixed H2/H∞ controller design using particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed for control balancing of Bicyrobo, which is an unstable system associated with many sources of uncertainties due to un-model dynamics, parameter variations, and external disturbances. The structure-specified mixed H2/H∞ control is a robust and optimal control technique. However, the design process normally comes up with a complex and non-convex optimization problem which is difficult to solve by the conventional optimization methods. PSO is a recently useful meta-heuristic search method used to solve multi-objective and non-convex optimization problems. In the method, PSO is used to search for parameters of a structure-specified controller which satisfies mixed H2/H∞ performance index. The simulation and experimental results show the robustness of the proposed controller in compared with the conventional proportional plus derivative (PD) controller, and the efficiency of the proposed algorithm in compared with the genetic algorithm (GA).

Ketersediaan energi merupakan salah satu masalah utama di dunia saat ini. Setiap tahun kebutuhan energi semakin meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan aktivitas manusia yang menggunakan bahan bakar minyak yang diperoleh dari fosil tumbuhan dan hewan yang terbentuk jutaan tahun yang lalu. Ketersediaan bahan bakar fosil akan semakin langka. Minimnya lahan TPA dan pasokan energi mendorong pemanfaatan limbah pertanian menjadi briket. Limbah pertanian yang dapat dijadikan briket adalah biomassa dari kulit kakao. Dalam hal ini nilai kalor pada briket kulit kakao masih belum memenuhi SNI 01-6235-2000, dan dalam penelitian ini digunakan tempurung kelapa sebagai bahan penambah briket kulit kakao. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan tiga hasil penelitian yaitu nilai kalor, kadar air, dan kadar abu. Hasil yang memenuhi SNI 01-6235-2000 adalah kombinasi campuran 20:80 dan 0:100 menggunakan perekat tepung tapioka.

Abstract:

Abstract: Failure to prioritize maternal health during the COVID-19 pandemic will affect maternal mortality ratio (MMR). This study aimed to obtain the evaluation of labor during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a descriptive and retrospective study with a cross-sectional design using the medical record data of Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital in Manado. The results obtained 858 cases of labor. Based on maternal characteristics, most labors were carried out in the age group of 20-34 years (69.23%), household work (72.14%), senior high school education (51.52%), and parity of 1-4 times (60.72%). The highest percentage of labor was cesarean section (62.35%). Most of the antenatal care was carried out 4-6 times(34.62%) by obstetrician-gynecologists (40.09%). The most common labor complication was fetal distress (27.29%). Maternal deaths were 20 cases, most were caused by respiratory failure (50%). Perinatal mortality was 82 cases with the most common cause of death was intra uterine fetal death/IUFD (41.46%). The maternal mortality rate was 2442 cases per 100,000 live births meanwhile the perinatal mortality rate was 100.12 per 1000 live births. In conclusion, the most common labor was section caesarea. Respiratory failure was the most common cause of maternal mortality and IUFD was the most common cause of perinatal mortality.Keywords: labor, COVID-19, characteristics, maternal mortality, perinatal death Abstrak: Kegagalan dalam mengutamakan kesehatan ibu selama pandemi COVID-19 akan memengaruhi angka kematian ibu (AKI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui evaluasi persalinan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Jenis penelitian ialah retrospektif deskriptif dengan desain potong lintang menggunakan data rekam medik Januari s/d Agustus 2021 di RSUP Prof Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan 858 kasus persalinan. Berdasarkan karakteristik, persalinan paling banyak dilakukan pada kelompok usia 20-34 tahun (69,23%), pekerjaan ibu rumah tangga (IRT) (72,14%), pendidikan SLTA (51,52%), serta paritas 1-4 kali (60,72%). Jenis persalinan tertinggi yaitu persalinan seksio sesarea (62,35%). Pelayanan antenatal paling banyak dilakukan oleh dokter spesialis obstetri dan ginekologi (40,09%). Frekuensi pelayanan antenatal tertinggi yaitu sebanyak 4-6 kali (34,62%). Komplikasi persalinan tertinggi yaitu gawat janin (27,29%). Kematian maternal sebanyak 20 kasus dengan penyebab kematian tertinggi gagal napas (50%). Kematian perinatal sebanyak 82 kasus dengan penyebab kematian tertinggi IUFD (41,46%). Angka kematian maternal yaitu 2442 kasus per 100.000 kelahiran hidup. Angka kematian perinatal yaitu 100,12 per 1000 kelahiran hidup. Simpulan penelitian ini ialah jenis persalinan tertinggi seksio sesarea dengan gagal napas sebagai penyebab utama kematian maternal dan intrauterine fetal death (IUFD) sebagai penyebab utama kematian perinatal.Kata kunci: persalinan; kematian maternal; kematian perinatal; COVID-19

Abstract:

This study aims to determine the physical characteristics of the alaban type charcoal, the compressed type and the type of bacin. After testing SNI 01-6235-2000 of the 3 types of charcoal, the results for each characteristic are not the same and some do not meet the standard requirements. The method used to make wood charcoal uses the ground hole method. The three materials used are plants that are very much found in the Karang Intan District area, especially in the area of the Gunung Babaris and Mount Waringin Forest groups. The research was conducted to determine the physical characteristics of charcoal including moisture content, ash content, flight substance content, bonded carbon content and calorific value according to the quality standard of SNI 01-6235-2000. The results showed that the moisture content was still above 8% (not fulfilling the SNI standard), the ash content was below 8% (fulfilled the SNI standard), the flying substance content was below 15% (met SNI standards), above 30% (meet the SNI standard) and a calorific value above 5000 Kal / g (meet the SNI standard only for alaban charcoal, the other two types do not meet the SNI standard). The best calorific value is alaban charcoal, which is 5.076.96 Cal / gPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik sifat fisik arang jenis alaban, jenis mampat dan jenis Bati-bati. Setelah dilakukan pengujian SNI 01-6235-2000 dari 3 jenis arang hasilnya untuk tiap karakteristik tidak sama dan ada yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan standar. Metode yang dipakai untuk pembuatan arang kayu menggunakan metode lubang tanah. Ketiga bahan digunakan adalah tanaman yang sangat banyak ditemui di wilayah Kecamatan Karang Intan, terutama pada area kelompok Hutan Gunung Babaris dan Gunung Waringin. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik sifat fisik arang meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, kandungan zat hilang, kandungan karbon terikat dan nilai kalor sesuai standar mutu SNI 01-6235-2000. Menghasilkan nilai kadar kelembaban masih di atas 8% (belum memenuhi norma SNI), kadar debris di bawah 8% (memenuhi standar SNI), kandungan zat hilang di bawah 15% (memenuhi standar SNI), kandungan karbon terikat di atas 30% (memenuhi pedoman SNI) dan nilai kalori di atas 5000 Kal / g (memenuhi pedoman SNI hanya untuk arang alaban, dua jenis lainnya tidak memenuhi pedoman SNI). Nilai kalori terbaik adalah arang alaban yaitu 5.076.96 Cal / g.

Abstract:

El presente artículo es la continuación necesaria de una indagación previa sobre la temática de la autenticidad en la narrativa de Julio Cortázar. “A todo o nada: el problema de la (in)autenticidad en Rayuela” (Ralón 2014) propuso una exégesis inicial en torno a la búsqueda individual de Horacio Oliveira, en el marco de la filosofía ontológico-existencial de Martin Heidegger. Este artículo propone ampliar dicho análisis a través de una comparación sistemática con dos de sus más notables predecesores: Johnny Carter y Persio. La especulación subyacente es que las búsquedas fallidas, “a todo o nada”, de los perseguidores cortazarianos ocurren en el interior de un mismo paradigma lúcido que representa la sistematización de un tipo de epistemología reduccionista. El fracaso individual de los protagonistas –que a pesar de la diversidad de sus técnicas y tácticas no logran trascender el subjetivismo radical y el individualismo metodológico propiciados por la modernidad, desembocando invariablemente en un solipsismo nihilista– es un componente necesario de un proceso de apertura existencial que comienza con “El perseguidor” (1959), continúa en Los premios (1960) y finaliza en Rayuela (1963).

El artículo se presenta como una cierta hermenéutica de la estética de Kant a partir del lugar que ocuparía la figura del párergon (ornamento) en su teoría de lo bello, sobre todo considerando el compromiso teleológico que se sugiere como esencialidad de la estética del filósofo prusiano. Esta estética parergonal o decorativa, más allá de una presunta filosofía del arte de corte iluminista que pudiera ser vista en la tercera Crítica, pone en vista un inesperado compromiso barroco de la filosofía de lo bello en Kant, especialmente si se tiene en cuenta el fundamento estético-ontológico del párergon por antonomasia: la hojarasca. Abstract:

Durante un largo período, la enseñanza de la pronunciación del inglés como lengua extranjera ha estado marginalizada de la agenda de la lingüística aplicada. No obstante, impulsada por los avances de la globalización y los recursos tecnológicos, la pronunciación ha adquirido un lugar relevante en la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras, constituyéndose en uno de los ejes centrales de la comunicación por habla. Para garantizar una comunicación efectiva, la instrucción de la pronunciación en L2 se ha convertido en un requisito indispensable en la interacción verbal. El propósito del presente trabajo es verificar el grado en el que el habla en inglés, producida por hablantes argentinos, afecta la percepción de la comprensibilidad de oyentes brasileños. Asimismo, se busca determinar en qué medida ciertos aspectos lingüísticos, tales como la pronunciación, la gramática, el vocabulario y la competencia discursiva, se relacionan con el constructo de comprensibilidad. Los resultados mostraron diferencias significativas entre las producciones de los hablantes. Se observaron, además, correlaciones directas entre la comprensibilidad y la pronunciación para cada uno de los hablantes. Finalmente, se discuten algunas implicancias pedagógicas y se brindan nuevas líneas de investigación en el área.

El uso de motivos grecolatinos puede ser tomado como hilo conductor que nos guía –nuevo hilo de Ariadna– por el laberinto poético de las últimas décadas. Su importancia es tal que obliga a reflexionar sobre el concepto de clásico y su permanencia. Del mismo modo da pie a analizar cuáles son los modos acomodativos de la tradición grecolatina en las últimas décadas poéticas; cómo reinterpretan el sentido clásico y lo actualizan. Precisamente, tanto el mito como el acervo de los clásicos lo son por su capacidad de dar cauce a diferentes mensajes, amoldarse a diversas estéticas y no solo como adorno, sino como expresión propia.

Objective: The author analyzed potential survival determinants in gastrinoma to characterize a possible uniform staging system and to determine whether complete surgical resection improves expected survival.Summary and Background Data: Gastrinoma is an indolent yet malignant neuroendocrine tumor. The associated gastric acid hypersecretion can be controlled medically. Staging of gastrinoma is inconsistent and the role Of surgical resection controversial.Methods: Seventy-four patients with gastrinoma with a minimum 5-year follow-up were assessed. Cox's proportional hazards regression model was used to examine the association of risk factors with survival.Results: The following factors had no effect on survival: age at diagnosis, sex, presence of lymph node metastases, associated multiple endocrine neoplasia, and method of ulcer treatment. The three unique determinants of survival were primary tumor size (relative risk 1.534; p<0.0005), liver metastases (relative risk, 2.947; p<0.0209), and complete surgical resection (relative risk 0.163; p<0.0076). On the basis of these risk factors, a uniform staging system is proposed and predictive survival curves developed.Conclusions: The primary determinants of survival in gastrinoma are the size of the primary tumor and liver metastases. Complete surgical resection reduces mortality, regardless of other factors.
