AbstractWe present and briefly discuss results of several studies of the source J2102+6015 with tentatively defined redshift z = 4.575 which demonstrates unusual properties in imaging and astrometric VLBI observations. Its properties might be considered as indications on the supermassive black hole binary which can be considered as a so far rare example of a high-redshift source of known electromagnetic and, possibly, predictable gravitational wave emissions.

Abstract:
Objetivou-se avaliar os parâmetros produtivos e a composição química de quatro híbridos de sorgo (XBS 60015, XBS 60451, Dow F305 e AG 2005E), e de um híbrido de milho (AS32). O delineamento experimental utilizado foi em blocos completos casualizados com três repetições. Foram avaliadas as produções totais de massa verde (MV), massa seca (MS) e das frações colmo, folha, panícula, espiga (milho). Determinaram-se os teores de proteína bruta (PB), fibra em detergente neutro (FDN), fibra em detergente ácido (FDA), extrato etéreo (EE), carboidratos totais (CHOT), carboidratos não estruturais (CNE), matéria mineral (MM) e matéria orgânica (MO) da planta e das frações folha e panícula. Não houve diferença entre os híbridos para produção de MS, MV e folha. Para a composição química das plantas de sorgo e milho houve diferença entre os híbridos, sendo que para proteína bruta, o sorgo AG 2005E apresentou a maior média com 9,84%, e o milho AS32 a menor, com 7,76%. Para a composição das folhas, a PB foi menor nos híbridos XBS 60015 (9,8%) e XBS 60451 (9,87%), com maiores concentrações de FDN, 66,02 e 66,65%, respectivamente. As panículas dos sorgos tiveram as maiores médias de PB (10,06%) em relação à espiga do milho (7,78%). O CNE foi maior para as panículas de XBS 60015 com 29,61% e XBS 60451 com 27,20%. Os híbridos de sorgo apresentaram uma melhor qualidade em sua composição química, sendo recomendável sua utilização para produção de silagens de qualidade.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Jets of high-redshift active galactic nuclei (AGNs) can be used to directly probe the activity of the black holes in the early Universe. Radio sources with jets misaligned with respect to the line of sight are expected to dominate the high-redshift AGN population. In this paper, we present the high-resolution imaging results of a z = 4.57 AGN J2102+6015 by analysing its multi-epoch dual-frequency very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) data. The 8.4-GHz VLBI images reveal two major features along the east–west direction separated by ∼10 mas. From the spectral index map, both features show flat/inverted spectra. The separation between the two features remains almost unchanged over an observation period of ∼13 yr, placing an upper limit of the separation speed as about 0.04 mas yr−1. Previous studies have classified the source as a GHz-peaked spectrum quasar. Our results indicate that J2102+6015 is most likely a young, compact symmetric object rather than a blazar-type core–jet source.

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาศักยภาพในการบรรเทาปรากฏการณ์เกาะความร้อน ด้วยการแพร่กระจายความเย็นของพื้นที่สีเขียว ในเขตเทศบาลนครเชียงใหม่ จำนวน 5 แห่งซึ่งมีขนาดที่แตกต่างกัน และศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการแพร่กระจายความเย็น ประกอบด้วย สัดส่วนของพื้นผิวภายในพื้นที่สีเขียว ปัจจัยทางด้านภูมิอากาศ และปัจจัยทางด้านอัตราการมองเห็นท้องฟ้า (Sky View Factor) ผลการศึกษาพบว่าปัจจัยทางด้านภูมิอากาศ และปัจจัยทางด้านสัดส่วนของพื้นผิวส่งผลต่อการแพร่กระจายความเย็นทำให้อุณหภูมิบริเวณโดยรอบลดลง โดยเฉพาะบริเวณสวนสุขภาพบ้านเด่น และสวนสุขภาพหนองบวกหาดที่มีพื้นที่โดยรอบเป็นพื้นที่สีเขียวจำนวนมาก สำหรับปัจจัยอัตราการมองเห็นท้องฟ้าพบว่ามีผลต่อการแพร่กระจายความเย็น และอุณหภูมิโดยรอบน้อย นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าพื้นที่สีเขียวที่มีขนาดเล็กจะมีการแพร่กระจายความเย็นได้น้อยกว่าพื้นที่สีเขียวที่มีขนาดใหญ่ โดยพื้นที่สีเขียวสวนสาธารณะรถไฟเป็นสวนขนาด 60.15 ไร่ มีศักยภาพในการแพร่กระจายความเย็นที่รัศมีโดยรอบ 75 -100 เมตร ในขณะที่พื้นที่สีเขียวสวนสุขภาพหนองบวกหาดที่มีขนาด 12.42 ไร่ มีศักยภาพในการแพร่กระจายความเย็นที่รัศมีโดยรอบ 25 -75 เมตร การแพร่กระจายความเย็นทำให้เกิดเกาะความเย็น (Park Cool Island) ทั้งในบริเวณพื้นที่สีเขียวและพื้นที่โดยรอบด้วย รวมถึงปัจจัยสัดส่วนของพื้นผิวภายในพื้นที่สีเขียวมีผลต่ออุณหภูมิ โดยพื้นที่สีเขียวที่มีสัดส่วนของพื้นผิวดาดอ่อนมากกว่าพื้นผิวดาดแข็งจะมีอุณหภูมิที่ต่ำและช่วยเสริมการแพร่กระจายความเย็นโดยรอบพื้นที่สีเขียว ส่งผลให้อุณหภูมิในระดับย่านลดลง

Abstract:
In this study, a new Android application was developed to help users accurately determine the dimensioning of a string insulator through the analysis of the evaluation of two methods based on IEC-60071 and IEC-60815 (2008) standards. The first method uses equations from IEC-60815-2 (2008), while the second method considers parameters such as relative air density and pressure. To ensure reliability, both methods are evaluated: the first through the creepage factor to determine if the chosen profile is suitable, and the second through lightning and switching critical flashover voltages to avoid insulator flashover. Tests were carried out using data from real projects, and those results were compared with the results obtained from the application. The number of string insulators obtained from the tests was exactly the same as the number obtained from the application, except in two cases. Of the three evaluations, all cases complied satisfactorily with at least two tests.

Цель исследования: оценить влияние блокатора р38 МАРК SB203580 на дифференцировку фибробластов в зоне формирования послеоперационного рубца. Материалы и методы: На модели линейной кожно-мышечной раны у крыс линии Вистар оценено влияние локального введения блокатора р38 МАРК SB203580 в составе лекарственной пленки на дифференцировку фибробластов (n = 30) по сравнению с заживлением раны без введения активного вещества (n = 30). Проводили оценку количества коллагена в области раны, периоперационной зоне и интактной дерме, а также иммуноморфологическое окрашивание на CD34, CD45, ММР9 и актин в сроки от 2 часов до 30 суток. Результаты: Установлено, что применение блокатора р38 SB203580 приводило к значительному снижению интенсивности коллагенообразования в зоне формирующегося рубца. Так, у животных контрольной группы относительная площадь, занятая волокнами коллагена в зоне послеоперационной раны, закономерно возрастала в сроки от 3 до 30 суток, достигая максимальных значений к концу наблюдения - 73,54% [66,87; 78,01]. При введении SB203580 в течение всего срока наблюдения отмечалось достоверное снижение коллагенообразования в сравнении с группой контроля, к 30 суткам показатель составил 43,60% [41,05; 60,15] (р = 0.002). Введение SB203580 снижало привлечение прогениторных клеток фибробластического ряда в зону формирования послеоперационного рубца, повышало фиброкластическую активность. Aim. To assess effects of a p38 MAPK inhibitor, SB203580, on fibroblast differentiation in the zone of postoperative scar formation. Materials and methods. The effect of locally injected p38 MAPK inhibitor, SB203580, on fibroblast differentiation (n = 30) was compared with wound healing without an active substance injection (n = 30) on a model of linear musculocutaneous wound in Wistar rats weighing 220-250 g. We measured the amount of collagen in the wound zone, perioperative zone, and intact derma and conducted immunomorphological staining for CD34, CD45, MMP9, and actin at timepoints of 2 hours to 30 days. Results. The p38 inhibitor, SB203580, induced a significant decrease in collagenation intensity in the zone of forming scar. In Wistar rats of the control group, the percent area of collagen fibers in the zone of postoperative wound was increasing between days 3 and 30 and reached a maximum of 73.54 % [66.87; 78.01] by the end of observation period. The SB203580 injection significantly decreased collagenation over the entire period of observation compared with the control group (43.60 % [41.05; 60.15] by day 30, р = 0.002). The SB203580 injection decreased the engagement of fibroblastic progenitors in the zone of postoperative scar formation and increased the fibroclast activity.

Daun pepaya (Carica papaya L.) dan daun kemangi (Ocimum x africanum Lour.) dilaporkan mengandung senyawa yang berperan sebagai antihiperglikemia. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena dari beberapa khasus di Indonesia, penderita hiperglikemia cukup tinggi maka penelitian ini perlu dilakukan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai efektivias dari suatu tanaman herbal dalam menangai hiperglikemia.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas pemberian ekstrak etanol daun pepaya dan daun kemangi dalam menurunkan kadar glukosa darah mencit hiperglikemia. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 25 ekor mencit dibagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan. Kelompok perlakuan diantaranya, K(N) (tanpa perlakuan), K(-) (diinduksi aloksan ), K(+) (diinduksi aloksan dan diberi perlakuan dengan glibenklamid), P1 perlakuan 1 (diinduksi aloksan dan diberi perlakuan dengan ekstrak etanol daun pepaya), P2 perlakuan 2 (diinduksi aloksan dan diberi perlakuan dengan ekstrak etanol daun kemangi). Parameter yang diukur dalam penelitian ini yaitu berat badan dan kadar glukosa darah mencit. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan one way ANOVA dan uji lanjut LSD pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian bahan uji mampu menurunkan kadar glukosa darah mencit dengan persentase penurunan lebih efektif pada P2 sebesar 60,15% sedangkan P1 sebesar 53,32% . Hyperglycemia occurs when blood glucose levels exceed normal limits. Papaya (Carica papaya L.) and basil (Ocimum x africanum Lour.) leaves are reported to contain compounds that act as antihyperglycemic agents. This study was conducted because in some cases in Indonesia, people with hyperglycemia are quite high, so this study needs to be carried out to provide information about the effectiveness of an herbal plant in dealing with hyperglycemia. hyperglycemic mice blood. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 25 mice divided into 5 treatment groups and 5 replications. The treatment groups included, K(N) (without treatment), K(-) (alloxan induced), K(+) (alloxan induced and treated with glibenclamide), P1 treatment 1 (alloxan induced and treated with ethanol extract of papaya leaves ), P2 treatment 2 (alloxan induced and treated with ethanol extract of basil leaves). The parameters measured in this study were body weight and blood glucose levels of mice. The data obtained were analyzed by one way ANOVA and LSD further test at the 5% level. The results showed that the administration of the test material was able to reduce blood glucose levels in mice with a more effective percentage reduction in P2 of 60.15% while P1 of 53.32%.

Rekabet politikası bakımından devletin rekabeti ve ticareti etkileyecek şekilde teşebbüslere seçici mali fayda sağlaması devlet desteği hukukuna aykırılık teşkil etmektedir. Bu çerçevede Avrupa Birliği hukukunda devlet destekleri sıkı bir denetime tabi tutulmaktadır. Ülkemizde de Avrupa Birliği hukukunda benimsenen kurallara benzer kurallar içeren 6015 sayılı Devlet Desteklerinin İzlenmesi ve Denetlenmesi Hakkında Kanun yürürlüğe konulmuştur. Ancak Kanun’a dayalı ikincil düzenlemeler yürürlüğe girmediği için bu Kanun henüz uygulanmaya başlanmamıştır. Kamu özel işbirliği modeline dayalı sözleşmelerde yer alan devlet garantileri de teşebbüslere ekonomik fayda sağlamaları bakımından devlet desteği hukukunun konusunu oluşturabilir. Bu doğrultuda 6015 sayılı Kanun’un uygulanmaya başlanması halinde devlet garantilerinin devlet destekleri hukuku bakımından nasıl değerlendirilebileceği araştırılmalıdır. Bu çerçevede, devlet garantilerinin hangi hallerde devlet desteği teşkil edeceği ve kamu özel işbirliği modelinin kamu hizmetine yönelmesi iddiasının bu belirlemede herhangi bir fark yaratıp yaratmayacağı incelenmelidir.

Context. Radio-loud active galactic nuclei in the early Universe are rare. The quasars J0906+6930 at redshift z = 5.47 and J2102+6015 at z = 4.57 stand out from the known sample with their compact emission on milliarcsecond (mas) angular scale with high (0.1 Jy level) flux densities measured at GHz radio frequencies. This makes them ideal targets for very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) observations. Aims. By means of VLBI imaging we can reveal the inner radio structure of quasars and model their brightness distribution to better understand the geometry of the jet and the physics of the sources. Methods. We present sensitive high-resolution VLBI images of J0906+6930 and J2102+6015 at two observing frequencies, 2.3 and 8.6 GHz. The data were taken in an astrometric observing programme involving a global five-element radio telescope array. We combined the data from five different epochs from 2017 February to August. Results. For one of the highest redshift blazars known, J0906+6930, we present the first-ever VLBI image obtained at a frequency below 8 GHz. Based on our images at 2.3 and 8.6 GHz, we confirm that this source has a sharply bent helical inner jet structure within ∼3 mas from the core. The quasar J2102+6015 shows an elongated radio structure in the east–west direction within the innermost ∼2 mas that can be described with a symmetric three-component brightness distribution model at 8.6 GHz. Because of their non-pointlike mas-scale structure, these sources are not ideal as astrometric reference objects. Our results demonstrate that VLBI observing programmes conducted primarily with astrometric or geodetic goals can be utilized for astrophysical purposes as well.

Cotton is very valuable technical crop. This crop keeps its strategical significance still its cultivation. Increasing productivity and improving its quality is a key factor for new certificated cotton varieties to remain in production for a long time. For this, it is important for each of the variety to have its own (according to its biological characteristics) fertilizer rate, plant density and irrigation regimes. That is, the incorrect application of these parameters has a negative impact on productivity. As a result, a variety that has been painstakingly created for many years may soon become extinct. The study was undertaken to know the characteristics of various attributes of ejaculates collected from 6 elite pure Tharparkar bulls using artificial vagina in fresh and cryopreserved semen. The mean values for fresh seminal parameters, viz. seminal volume (ml), mass motility (0–5 scale), sperm concentration (millions/ml), individual motility (%), live sperm (%), intact acrosome (%), total sperm abnormalities (%), hypo osmotic swelling test (HOST -%) and cervical mucus penetration test (CMPT – mm) were 4.40 ± 0.24, 3.15 ± 0.12, 995.16 ± 70.99, 71.88 ± 0.99, 67.23± 1.08, 79.65 ± 1.21, 19.87± 0.54, 60.15 ± 1.76 and 31.56 ± 0.96, respectively. Semen volume and sperm concentration significantly differed between bulls within breed. The semen was cryopreserved after extension maintaining 20 million sperm/ straw, filling and sealing in 0.25 ml straw using programmable bio- freezer (IMV). Cryopreserved semen was assessed after 24 h freezing after thawing. Freezing significantly lowered motility (71.88 ± 0.99 vs 51.16 ± 1.08), intact acrosome (79.65 ± 1.21 vs 72.43 ± 1.42), HOST (60.15 ±1.76 vs 55.81 ±1.72) and CMPT (31.56 ± 0.96 vs 26.90 ± 0.91). Significantly higher percentages of sperm abnormalities (19.87 ± 0.54 vs 23.50 ± 0.82) were observed after freezing. Freezing resulted in significant decline in post thaw motility, acrosomal integrity, HOST and CMPT and increase in sperm abnormalities in Tharparkar bull semen.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the safety routes for students including the supporting facilities such as the public transportation route, road pedestrian, cyclist lanes, School Safety Zone. The analytical used in this study are the Capacity Manual methods for Indonesian Highway, Cross Tab Analysis, Pedestrian Analysis and Descriptive Analysis. The results of the study showed that the density of the streets for 5 observation zone are about 0.13 to 0,69 with the level of service at the interval A and F, nevertheless the number of pedestrians larger than traffic volume with high-speed. For this, facilities for School Safety Zone needs to be developed. The result of Cross Tab analysis is motorcycle most widely used as transportation mode which followed by public transport users and pedestrians. Therefore it is necessary to provide facilities for pedestrians/sidewalks and public transit stations to protect all road users. The result of pedestrian survey showed some roads required pelicans wait and zebra crossing because of the high volume of traffic and the number of pedestrians crossing. The result of interviews with students showed that the percentage of students who use public transport is about 19.57%, 60.15% motorcyclists, 7.97% pedestrians and cyclists, public buses, private cars 12.31%.ABSTRAKRute Aman Selamat Sekolah merupakan bagian dari kegiatan manajemen dan rekayasa lalu lintas berupa penggunaan jaringan jalan, pengendalian lalu lintas dan penyediaan sarana angkutan umum dari lokasi pemukiman menuju sekolah. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah menganalisis rute yang selamat untuk anak sekolah dengan fasilitas penunjangnya yaitu trayek angkutan umum, jalur pedestrian, jalur pesepeda, dan Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS). Analisis yang digunakan adalah metode Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia, analisis Cross Tab, analisis untuk pejalan kaki, dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah visi rasio pada ruas-ruas jalan di 5 zona observasi berada di angka 0,13-0,69 dengan tingkat pelayanan jalan di interval A dan F, dengan jumlah pejalan kaki relatif besar serta volume lalu lintas dan kecepatan tinggi. Untuk itu perlu dibangun fasilitas Zona Selamat Sekolah. Dari hasil analisa Cross Tab diketahui bahwa sepeda motor merupakan moda yang paling banyak digunakan diikuti pengguna angkutan umum dan pejalan kaki. Oleh karena itu diperlukan fasilitas pejalan kaki/trotoar dan tempat perhentian angkutan umum guna melindungi semua pengguna jalan. Diperlukan pelikan tunggu dan zebra cross di beberapa ruas jalan karena tingginya volume lalu lintas dan jumlah pejalan kaki yang menyeberang. Persentasi siswa yang menggunakan angkutan umum 19,57%, pengguna sepeda motor 60,15%, pejalan kaki 7,97%, dan pengguna sepeda, bus umum, mobil pribadi 12,31%.

Abstract:
The focus of this study was to investigate the detection of neutralizing antibodies (Nabs) in maternal serum and cord blood as the targeted samples by employing a lateral flow immunoassay combined with a spectrum reader (LFI-SR) and the correlation of Nab protection against different types of SARS-CoV-2. We enrolled 20 pregnant women who were vaccinated with the Moderna (mRNA-1273) vaccine during pregnancy and collected 40 samples during delivery. We used an LFI-SR for the level of spike protein receptor binding domain antibody (SRBD IgG) as Nabs and examined the correlation of the SRBD IgG concentration and Nab inhibition rates (NabIR) via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). The LFI-SR had high confidence for the SRBD IgG level (p < 0.0001). Better NabIR were found in wild-type SARS-CoV-2 (WT) compared to Delta-type (DT) and Omicron-type (OT). Women with two-dose vaccinations demonstrated greater NabIR than those with a single dose. The cut-off value of the SRBD IgG level by the LFI-SR for NabIR to DT (≥30%; ≥70%) was 60.15 and 150.21 ng/mL for mothers (both p = 0.005), and 156.31 (p = 0.011) and 230.20 ng/mL (p = 0.006) for babies, respectively. An additional vaccine booster may be considered for those mothers with SRBD IgG levels < 60.15 ng/mL, and close protection should be given for those neonates with SRBD IgG levels < 150.21 ng/mL, since there is no available vaccine for them.

One of the possible solutions to this problem is the development of hydropower, which is an important source of renewable energy. The relevance of the research is determined by a number of factors. First, Ukraine depends on coal and gas imports, which creates energy security risks. Secondly, global obligations in the field of reducing greenhouse gas emissions require a transition to more ecologically clean sources of energy, including hydropower. Third, the development of hydropower can stimulate regional development and create new jobs. The purpose of the study is to determine the potential of hydropower in Ukraine and to assess its possibilities for ensuring the sustainable development of the energy system. The subject of the study is the current state of hydropower in Ukraine, the advantages and limitations of this type of energy. ABSTRACT Many of the new high energy sources discovered both by INTEGRAL/IBIS and Swift/BAT have been characterized thanks to extensive, multiband follow-up campaigns, but there are still objects whose nature remains to be asserted. In this paper, we investigate the true nature of three high energy sources, IGR J12134−6015, IGR J16058−7253, and Swift J2037.2+4151, employing multiwavelength data from the near-infrared to the X-rays. Through Gaia and ESO-VLT measurements and through Swift/XRT X-ray spectral analysis, we re-evaluate the classification for IGR J12134−6015, arguing that the source is a Galactic object and in particular a cataclysmic variable. We were able to confirm, thanks toNuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array(NuSTAR) observations, that the hard X-ray emission detected by INTEGRAL/IBIS and Swift/BAT from IGR J16058−7253 is coming from two Seyfert 2 galaxies which are both counterparts for this source. Through optical and X-ray spectral analysis of SwiftJ2037.2+4151 we find that this source is likely part of the rare and peculiar class of symbiotic X-ray binaries and displays flux and spectral variability as well as interesting spectral features, such as a blending of several emission lines around the iron line complex.

Our objectives were to evaluate general and specific combining ability (SCA) and genetic divergence among tropical maize inbred lines using single sequence repeat (SSR) markers. Thirteen inbred lines were crossed based on a complete diallel scheme. Hybrids and three checks were evaluated in a lattice experimental design. Silk and anthesis flowering, average plant height, average ear height, white spot (Pantoea ananatis) and gray leaf spot (Cercospora zeae-maydis) severity, and grain yield were evaluated. Significant differences (p < 0.05) for general and specific combining abilities were observed for all traits. Based on additive effects, inbred lines 1 (Flash) and 12 (SG 6015) were selected to reduce the flowering period and plant and ear height. Inbred lines 2 (CD 303) and 3 (AG 8080) were selected to reduce disease severity. For the simultaneous increase in grain yield and reduced severity of diseases, line 11 (AG 9090) as a parent or tester in topcross schemes is recommended. According to non-additive effects, crosses 2 (CD 303) × 13 (DKB 747) and 11 (AG 9090) × 12 (SG 6015) were selected for grain yield and future breeding programs. Six groups were identified using SSR markers; a major group contained six inbred lines. Because of the minor relationship between genetic divergence and SCA effects on grain yield limits, the use of the groups for future divergent crosses is recommended.

Abstract Synthetic lethality is a promising therapeutic strategy, but the number of founder mutations is limited. In contrast, DNA methylation is frequently present in many types of cancers, and can be a potential target for a synthetic lethality. So far, BRCA1 methylation with a PARP inhibitor is known as a synthetic lethality [Kawachi et al., Breast Cancer Res Treat, 181:323-329, 2020]. In this study, we aimed to identify a novel methylation synthetic lethal combination in gastric cancers. Founder methylation was searched for in 8,008 genes with putative promoter CpG islands (CGIs), and 137 genes which were 1) heavily methylated and 2) frequently methylated in primary gastric cancers (10 or more of 50 cases) were selected. The association analysis between DNA methylation and gene expression showed that 10 of 137 genes were completely silenced in gastric cancer cell lines with methylation of their promoter CGIs, but were expressed in those without. Among these 10 genes, we focused on CHFR, a known tumor-suppressor gene in gastrointestinal cancers, and genes lethal for CHFR methylation were screened for using the sgRNA screening database (The Cancer Dependency Map, DepMap). Comparison of gene dependencies of 17,645 genes between four cell lines with CHFR methylation and 12 cell lines without revealed that knockout of KRAS reduced cell growth specifically in cell lines with methylation. This synthetic lethality could be experimentally confirmed in two cell lines with CHFR methylation, AGS and 44As3, and three cell lines without, HSC41, HSC42, and MKN74. These cell lines included those not used in the screening, validating the usefulness of the combination. These results showed that gastric cancers with CHFR methylation were sensitive to KRAS inhibition, and that methylation synthetic lethality is a promising therapeutic strategy. Abstract:
The COVID-19 outbreak began at the end of 2019, and has evolved to a pandemic threatening various industries’ sustainability. Decisive actions have been taken to tackle the pandemic’s spread, however, various impacts continue to be felt by many industries, including the construction industry. This paper therefore focuses on the COVID-19 outbreak’s impact on Quantity Surveyors’ (QS) construction projects and activities, as a key profession in the industry. A mixed method approach, questionnaire survey followed by expert interviews, was adopted. Subsequently, 199 valid responses for analysis were obtained from the questionnaire distribution, using descriptive statistics and Significance Index. Furthermore, qualitative data were acquired through semi-structured interviews with five experts, and analyzed using a structured thematic analysis. According to the results, 56.78% of respondents experienced project slowdowns, 13.57% experienced project suspensions or terminations, and 12.56% experienced cost overruns. Most respondents acknowledged the pandemic had present changes to projects (84.92%), in the form of changes in organization structure, work culture, technological application, and project objectives. Meanwhile, the Significance Index has successfully established an 11-factors ranking, regarding the pandemic’s impact on QS activities, with impact on the overall project completion as the most profound impact followed by impacts on project scheduling, supply chain, tendering, cost controlling, and claim management. This study’s qualitative and quantitative findings tend to be in accordance, thus, providing some fundamental insights regarding the COVID-19 outbreak’s impact on the construction industry, including direct impacts on project sustainability, technology adoption, and project resiliency issues. In addition, this study also contributes to scientific knowledge by discussing the issues and trends of work culture changes in QS professional activities.

Background: Medical students are a population that is considered vulnerable to experience stress during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially with the heavy learning load and changes in the learning system that were initially carried out face-to-face. Currently, there are limited data regarding the stress of studying online in medical students and their effect on learning achievement. This study aimed to determine the stress effect of studying online in medical students on their academic achievement.Methods: This study was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional approach. 112 samples were obtained from students of Bachelor of Medicine and Medical Doctor in one of the universities in Bali with the instruments that were distributed via Google Form. Primary data collection was carried out using the Medical Student Stressor Questionnaire (MSSQ) questionnaire, while secondary data collection was obtained from the average score of three-block exams done online during the COVID-19 pandemic.Results: The stress level of medical students in online learning was dominated by high stress (55.4%) with the majority cause due to Academic Related Stressor (ARS). There is a significant relationship (p = 0.021) between the incidence of stress and learning achievement in students (-0.217, 95% CI -0.39 to -0.03). The learning system preference that was chosen by the students is dominated by a 50% online learning system and 50% offline as much as 27.7%.Conclusion: The results indicated that there is a high level of stress among medical students. There is a correlation between stress events and medical student’s achievement during online learning.

Abstract:
Microalgae contain a significant amount of carbohydrates that can be converted further to produce valuable compounds. To extract carbohydrates from microalgae, sub-critical water extraction (SWE) is a viable and novel method. Compared to other existing chemical and biological extraction methods, SWE is more economical, effective, and efficient in terms of process conditions. This process uses high temperature and pressure of water at just below supercritical conditions to keep water at a liquid state. This study aims to investigate the factors that affect the extraction yield of carbohydrates from microalgae Nannochloropsis sp. using the SWE process. The extraction was carried out at a temperature of 160 – 320 oC, a duration of 5 – 25 min, and microalgal biomass loading of 5 - 25% w/v. The kinetics study was conducted in an extraction time of 5 – 25 min at 200 oC and 5% (w/v) biomass loading. A simplified kinetic model based on a consecutive reaction was used to describe carbohydrate production and decomposition via SWE. It was found that the maximum yield of total carbohydrate was 18.04 g/100 g which was obtained at 200 oC, 10 min, and 5% (w/v) microalgal biomass loading. The carbohydrate concentration was decreased as the temperature, extraction time and microalgal biomass loading increased. This result indicated that the SWE is a promising extraction method for carbohydrate recovery from microalgae, and the factors investigated here had a significant effect on the extraction process. The proposed kinetic model was also able to capture the experimental data well within the range of operating conditions studied in this work.
