Inwieweit die schlesische Musikkultur nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg indirekt durch die Grenzverschiebungen der Sowjetunion ins frühere Polen hinein bestimmt wurden, zeigte Luba Kyjanowska-Kamińska (Musikakademie Lemberg [ukrain. L’vìv]). Nur wenige Monate vor seinem Tode verließ Adam Didur (1874–1946), der als Bassist schon in den 1890er Jahren zum Weltstar geworden war und der nach seinem Bühnenrück zugab den 1930er Jahren am Konservatorium in Lemberg eine Generation von Schülern und Schülerinnen geprägt hatte, 1945 zusammen mit einer Gruppe von ihnen seine Heimatstadt und ließ sich im oberschlesischen Beuthen [poln.Bytom] nieder, wo er das vormalige Oberschlesische Landestheater als Opera Śląska (Schlesische Oper) fortführte.

Abstract:
This M.A. thesis Tectonic Principles of the 20th abnd 21st Century Music explores the various methods of formation and structuring structures present days. It also aims at their comparison with earlier compositions. The music structures are examined not only from the point of view of their creation and formation but also from the point of view of their impact on the receiver. Consequently, the findings are applied in the formulation of rules of contemporary music analysis in attempt to improve orientation in musical expressions not only with regard to music analysts but all receivers in general.

Abstract:
Mezinárodní obchod bývá označován za motor hospodářského růstu zemí. Názory na skutečný vliv mezinárodního obchodu na rozvoj a růst zemí však nejsou jednotné. Předkládaná disertační práce se snaží na základě podávaného přehledu významných teorií mezinárodního obchodu ověřit vliv mezinárodního obchodu na specifické skupině zemí: na nejméně rozvinutých zemích. Práce se zaměřuje na mezinárodní obchod zbožím, pouze v omezené míře pak obchodem službami a pohybem kapitálu (oficiální rozvojovou pomocí a přímými zahraničními investicemi). Působení mezinárodního obchodu na nejméně rozvinuté země je sledováno v období od oficiálního ustavení této skupiny zemí OSN v roce 1971 do současnosti, přičemž důraz je kladen zejména na konec 90. let 20. století a počátek 21. století. Na rozdíl od klasických a neoklasických teorií mezinárodního obchodu a převažující většiny zastánců volného obchodu nevidí autorka v mezinárodním obchodu záruku pro hospodářský růst a rozvoj nejméně rozvinutých zemí spíše příležitost, které tyto země musí správným způsobem využít a která se pouze při splnění určitých podmínek promítne do zvýšení jejich hospodářského růstu.

Největší pozornost je věnována politickým vztahů, ať již bilaterálním, tak v rámci mezinárodních organizací (RB OSN a zejména Šanghajská organizace spolupráce), dále pak vztahům ekonomickým.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with the contribution of Belarusian composers to the 20th and 21st century guitar repertoire. The aim of this is to highlight important role of authors from Belarusian guitar school in creating guitar repertoire not only in Belarusian context. The first part of this thesis focuses on the works of professional composers composing for guitar, as well as the works of Belarusian guitarplayers-composers.Also, I systematised published ,usic material and methodological publications regarding guitar, from the historically first guitar anthology in Belarus till today. In the second part, I analysed chosen guitar composition of Belarusian author - the Concert for guitar , strings and bells from Galina Gorelova. While determining the contribution of Belarusian composers to guitar repertoire, I first researched the background of professional guitar education and interpretation in Belarus in soviet times. These are the roots of madern professional guitar composer school. The work of particular composers has been analysed based on their interpretation, pedagogic and composer activity in historical and music - cultural context. I analysed the Concert for guitar, strings and bells in three parts from G. Gorelova from the point of view of guitar part, its role in this composition, dramaturgical content and musical form.I managed to systematise the work of Belarusian composers- guitar players and non - guitar players, as well as publishing of their opuses and compositions, and to include them into a broader context of Belarusian guitar school development. The benefit of work lies in highlighting the role of Belorusia composers in creating guitar repertoire not only in Belarus. Based on data ascertaned, it is possible to contend that Belarusian guitar players and composers contribute significantly to the 20th and 21st century guitar repertoire.

Abstract:
The diploma thesis is focused on French neocolonialism towards its former African colonies. French neocolonialism is analysed from 1960 so called Year of Africa until nowadays. There are two case studies concerning recent French military interventions in Mali and Central Africa. The objective of this diploma thesis is to analyse French foreign approach towards the defined territory on the bases of specialized bibliography and primary resources, and to answer the question asked by the author of this diploma thesis in the Introduction of this piece and to reach the evaluation. The diploma thesis is structured into three parts. In the Introduction, there is a short summary of the topic and there is also the hypothesis stating that the French foreign policy towards its former African colonies shows characteristics of neocolonialism. The first chapter defines the basic terms such as colonialism, decolonisation and foreign policy. There is also a detailed description of terms necolonialism and postcolonialism. The second chapter analyses French actions in sub-Saharan Africa from 1960 till nowadays from the political, economic, cultural and military point of view. A special part of this chapter is a period from 1990 till our days. The third chapter is made of two case studies: military interventions in Mali and Central Africa that shows the neocolonial approach appearing in the French foreign policy towards sub-Saharan Africa. A part of this chapter is also a synthesis of both interventions. The conclusion of diploma thesis sums up all the knowledge gained thanks to the studying of specialized bibliography and it confirms the hypothesis set in the Introduction of this work.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with the Venezuela Foreign Policy Changes between the years 1999 -- 2012. The work provides the analyses of the political system of today's Venezuela and the Venezuelan foreign policy under the Hugo Chávez rule. As the thesis aims at studying the relationship between the domestic and foreign policy both aspects needed to be considered. Author tests the hypothesis that the foreign rhetoric and policy of Venezuela between the years 1999 -- 2012 were primarily focused on legitimizing Hugo Chavez's domestic position. Hugo Chavez's speeches in front of the National Assembly in the years 2000-2012 were analyzed using the text analysis tools. Quantification of the speeches key words was one of the instruments to test the above stated main hypothesis of the thesis. Chavez's foreign rhetoric and policy helped to fortify its power position especially with army and masses sensitive to populist approach even though the consequences for the Venezuelan economy were rather bad or unsustainable. Furthermore we can state that the foreign rhetoric and policy of the years 1999-2012 developed and radicalized in relation to the domestic economic and political situation.

In questa tesi vengono studiate le proprietà fisiche della superficie di eterostrutture InGaN/GaN cresciute con orientazione semipolare (20-21). Questi materiali fornirebbero una valida alternativa alle eterostrutture cresciute secondo la tradizionale direzione di crescita polare (0001) per la realizzazione di LED e diodi laser. I dispositivi cresciuti con orientazione semipolare (20-21) sono studiati soltanto da pochi anni e hanno già fornito dei risultati che incitano significativamente il proseguimento della ricerca in questo campo. Oltre all’ottimizzazione dell’efficienza di questi dispositivi, sono richieste ulteriori ricerche al fine di raccogliere delle informazioni mancanti come un chiaro modello strutturale della superficie (20-21). I capitoli 1 e 2 forniscono un quadro generale sul vasto campo dei semiconduttori basati sui nitruri del terzo gruppo. Il capitolo 1 tratta le proprietà generali, come le caratteristiche della struttura cristallina della wurtzite, l’energy gap e il più comune metodo di crescita epitassiale. Il capitolo 2 tratta le proprietà specifiche della superficie (20-21) come struttura, morfologia e proprietà legate all’eterostruttura InGaN/GaN (incorporazione di indio, strain e spessore critico). Nel capitolo 3 vengono descritte sinteticamente le tecniche sperimentali utilizzate per studiare i campioni di InGaN. Molte di queste tecniche richiedono condizioni operative di alto vuoto e appositi metodi di preparazione superficiale. Nel capitolo 4 vengono discussi i risultati sperimentali riguardanti la preparazione superficiale e le proprietà strutturali dei campioni. Il trattamento termico in ambiente ricco di azoto si rivela essere un metodo molto efficiente per ottenere superfici pulite. La superficie dei campioni presenta una morfologia ondulatoria e una cella unitaria superficiale di forma rettangolare. Nel capitolo 4 vengono discussi i risultati sperimentali relativi alle proprietà elettroniche e ottiche dei campioni. Immagini alla risoluzione atomica rivelano la presenza di ondulazioni alla scala dei nanometri. Vengono misurati l’energy gap e l’incurvamento superficiale della bande. Inoltre vengono identificate una serie di transizioni interbanda dovute all’interfaccia InGaN/GaN.

Koreodrama je jedan od oblika pozorišne igre u kojoj se insistira na sintezi različitih oblika ispoljavanja: pokretom, muzikom, rečju. Ne postoji jedna definicija koreodrame s obzirom na vreme kada se pojavila i na umetničke i društvene prilike u kojima su pojedine snažne koreografske ličnosti stvarale do danas u svetu i Srbiji. Istražuju se praktične i teorijske dimenzije koreodrame kao zasebnog pozorišnog žanra sa stanovišta forme koja doprinosi razvoju rodnih studija, pre svega diskusijom o emancipaciji ženskog tela.Cilj ovoga rada je da prikupi, sistematizuje i interpretira podatke o razvoju koreodrame u Srbiji tokom 20. veka i njenom vidljivom prodoru u pozorišnoj umetnosti 21. veka - kako bi se jasno pokazale zasluge žena u afirmaciji ovog pozorišnog usmerenja.Hipoteza je da je koreodrama izmenila odnos prema igri, odnos prema drami i odnos prema ženskom telu.Savremene teorija roda vode računa o osobinama identiteta žena (i muškaraca) i tumače ga kao promenljivu pojavu kompleksnog sadržaja, sastavljenu od više različitih komponenata (Duhaček, 2011; 2014). U tumačenju osobina identiteta četiri odabrane umetnice koristimo holistički teorijski pristup savremenih teorija (poststrukturalni, postmoderni i interkulturalni feminizam), a metodom analize diskursa takav teorijski pristup proveravamo. Takav teorijski pristup uzima u obzir ne samo verbalnu poruku, nego podjednako i kontekst u kojem se verbalni i neverbalni događaj ispoljava i same sagovornike.Promenljivost identiteta je osnova ovakvog teorijskog pristupa, dokumentovana na empirijskom materijalu života i stvaralaštva umetnica u Srbiji u 20. veku.Metod istraživanja se oslanja na analizu teksta, odnosno dva su osnovna metoda (Savić, 1993): analiza tekstova i analiza razgovora (diskursa).Rezultati pokazuju da su se u Srbiji koreodramom bavile uglavnom umetnice izrazite individualnosti i obrazovanja, o kojima je samo delimično pisano u domaćoj literaturi kada je u pitanju odnos roda i koreodramskog postupka stvaranja, odabiranja sadržaja i afirmisanja u javnom prostoru: Maga Magazinović, Smiljana Mandukić, Nada Kokotović i Sonja Vukićević.1.Vlastitim umetničkim i pedagoškim delovanjem naše četri umetnice doprinele su širenju znanja o igri u Srbiji uopšte, posebno novom poimanju oslobođenog tela (i to ne samo u igri);2 Njihov doprinos se ogleda u ukupnoj emancipaciji žena (u profesiji, u porodici i dr.);3. Sada je poznato da je uporedo tekla borba za ravnopravnost žena u društvu sa afirmacijom moderne igre i koreodrame u Srbiji.4. Rad četiri umetnice je uticao na formiranje stvarateljki nove generacije koreografkinja u Srbiji u 21. veku.Zaključujem da postoji kontinuitet u afirmisanju žanra koreodrame u pozorišnom životu Srbije od periferije ka centru umetničkog događanja.Podaci iz ovog istraživanja se mogu neposredno uključiti u postojeće kurikulume o savremenoj igri na Akademiji umetnosti, s jedne strane, i u obrazovni program iz muzičke i pozorišne umetnosti u srednjim školama, s druge strane.
Choreodrama is a form of theatrical dance which insists on the synthesis of different forms of expression: movement, music, word. There is not a unique definition of choreodrama given the time when it appeared on the artistic and social situation in which some strong choreographic personalities have created to this date in the world and Serbia as well. The practical and theoretical dimensions of choreodrama as a separate genre are examined from the standpoint of form which contributes the development of gender studies, especially the discussion on the emancipation of the female body.The aim of this study is to gather, systematize and interpret information on the development of choreodrama in Serbia during the 20th century and its visible breakthrough in the art of theatre of the 21st century - in order to clearly show the merits of women in the promotion of this theatrical direction.The hypothesis is that choreodrama has changed attitude towards dance, the attitude towards drama and relationship to the female body.Contemporary theories of gender pay special attention on the characteristics of women' identity (and men' as well) and interpret it as the emergence of a complex variable content made up of several different components (Duhacek, 2011; 2014). In identity characterics interpreting of four selected artists we use a holistic theoretical approach to contemporary theories (poststructural, postmodern feminism and intercultural feminism) and this theoretical approach can be checked by method of discourse analysis. Such an approach takes into account not only the verbal message, but also the context in which the verbal and non-verbal situations are manifested, as well as interlocutors themselves. Variability of identity is the basis of this theoretical approach, documented in the empirical material of the female artists' lives and work in Serbia in the 20th century.The research method relies on the analysis of the text or, to be precise, two basic methods (Savić, 1993): analysis of texts and conversation analysis (discourse). The results show that in Serbia mainly female artists of great individuality and education dealt with choreodrama and they were only partly written about in our literature concerning the relationship of gender and choreodrama process of creation, selection of content and affirmation in the public area: Maga Magazinović, Smiljana Mandukić, Nada Kokotović and Sonja Vukicevic.1.With their personal artistic and pedagogical functioning, our four women artists have contributed to spreading the knowledge about dance in Serbia in general, especially the new understanding of the liberated body (and not only in dance);2. Their contribution is reflected in the total emancipation of women (in their profession, family, etc.);3Now it is known that the struggle for women's equality in society was lead simultaneously with the affirmation of the modern dance and choreodrama in Serbia.4. The work of these four female artists has influenced the work of the creators of a new generation of choreographers in Serbia in the 21st century.I conclude that there is continuity in the promotion of the choreodrama genre in Serbian theatrical life from the periphery to the center of artistic events.The research information can be directly incorporated into existing curricula of contemporary art at the Academies of Arts, on the one hand, and in the educational programme of music and theatrical art in secondary schools, on the other hand.

COORDENAÇÃO DE APERFEIÇOAMENTO DO PESSOAL DE ENSINO SUPERIOR
A agregação dinâmica de reguladores de tensão de unidades geradoras coerentes, visando o cálculo de equivalentes dinâmicos para estudos de estabilidade transitória de sistemas de energia elétrica, é o objeto desta dissertação. A metodologia empregada para o cálculo de equivalentes dinâmicos apresenta três etapas: a identificação de geradores coerentes, a redução estática da rede e a agregação dinâmica dos modelos das unidades geradoras coerentes. A agregação dinâmica de um grupo de geradores coerentes consiste em representar este grupo através de uma ou mais unidades geradoras equivalentes. As unidades geradoras coerentes podem ser representadas por diferentes modelos de máquina síncrona, regulador de tensão, estabilizador, turbina e regulador de velocidade. Haverá, então, um modelo equivalente para cada componente da unidade geradora. Os parâmetros lineares de cada modelo equivalente são ajustados numericamente através do método de Levenberg-Marquardt para resolver o problema de otimização multivariável. O objetivo principal é a determinação do melhor modelo equivalente para uma dada composição de modelos de reguladores de tensão num grupo de unidades geradoras coerentes. O sistema teste New England é utilizado para avaliar a metodologia empregada, observando-se os desempenhos dinâmicos dos equivalentes propostos. Serão considerados modelos do banco de dados de estabilidade do sistema elétrico brasileiro.
This dissertation deals with the problem of dynamic aggregation of voltage regulators of coherent generating units to calculate dynamic equivalents for power system transient stability studies. The methodology used to calculate coherencybased dynamic equivalents has three basic steps: the identification of the coherent groups of generating units, the static reduction of the external network and the dynamic aggregation of coherent generating unit models. The dynamic aggregation of a group of coherent generating units consists of the representation of this group by one or more equivalent generating units. The coherent generating units can be represented by different models of synchronous machine, voltage regulator, stabilizer, turbine and speed governor. There will be an equivalent model for each component of the generating unit. The linear parameters of the equivalent models are numerically adjusted using the Levenberg-Marquardt method in order to solve the multivariable optimization problem. The main objective is the determination of the best equivalent model for a given composition of voltage regulator models in a group of coherent generating units. The New England system is used to evaluate the dynamic performance of the equivalents. The voltage regulator models considered in this work are in the Brazilian electrical system stability database. The swing curves of the internal system generators obtained with the equivalent system are compared with those obtained with the simulation of the complete system.

The conseption of my thesis is intendet on seven chapters. The first is about the developement of the violin sonata and its modification in the climatics works of present. The next two chapters deal with two solo violin pieces by L. Berio and P. Boulez, focussed on the intepret´s view. The second thematic unit is about new recourses in the instrumental combination of violin and piano, in which I foccused on the important chambre music works by A. Schnittke, G. Crumb and I. Xenakis. The third thematic sphere is about chambre compositions of the nontraditional instrumental conflation. After this chapter I speak about the most interesting composition of the nontradtional conflation, which is G. Kurtág´s Kafka Fragmente op. 24 for soprano and violin. The last chapter represents concrete using of the new technical possibilities of the string instruments. The two main works are composed by H. Lachenmann and T. Murail.

This master thesis deals with the problematic position of the Czech puppet animator. Based on interviews with two puppet animators, representing the current puppet animation and the last century Golden era, I am trying to figure out how the puppet animator worked in the last century and how he works today. For the current generation I draw from the experience of puppet animator Jan Štencl. For the past generation I draw from the experience of Mr. Jan Klos. I'm trying to clarify what puppet animator has had to know and if these kind of skills varies according to the period in which the animator works/worked. Furthermore, this theoretical work deals with the problems that animators are facing today and how to puppet animators respond to the expansion of 3D technology. In conclusion, I outline the various solutions to the current situation.

This dissertation tries systematicaly contain rarely reflected phenomenon of tectonics. Its aim is to explore tectonics as a dynamic process of structuring focused on the structures of 20th and 21st century music. This thesis portrays tectonics as a comprehensive tool of articulation of music and sound material in general. It reflects the current state of research on home field and brings partial views of the world, where, however, faces terminological difference and practical absence of tectonics as a term and as a musicological field or discipline. Tectonics conceived as a systematic discipline reflecting the tectonics as a phenomenon is to some extent the Czech (Czechoslovak) specifics. Within its own concept of tectonics of contemporary music the thesis presents general tectonic scheme of the structuring process. In the range of this work is structure defined as a system and some tectonic functions and principles are described too. The dissertation, however is honestly trying, not aspire to be a comprehensive, complete and systematicly perfect concept of tectonics. In terms of variability and evolution of musical language, which is tectonics an organic part of, it is not even possible. Nevertheless, we believe that this thesis will provide useful insight and possible introduction to closer examination of tectonics as a key phenomenon of structuring the musical substance.

El objetivo de esta investigación es reconocer, describir y analizar los mecanismos y situaciones que dificultan, posibilitan y/o dinamizan el diálogo transgeneracional respecto del pasado reciente en Chile y Argentina (1965 – 2017), identificando las semejanzas y diferencias de estos procesos en cada país, desde la perspectiva de la generación de hijos/hijas de militantes, o segunda generación. Se ha hecho hincapié en las memorias relativas al terrorismo de Estado y la militancia de padres y madres, y en cómo estas experiencias son reelaboradas por las generaciones que participan del diálogo al interior del espacio familiar. En este sentido, se comprende a la familia como el espacio de socialización primario, sustento de la construcción identitaria de nuevos sujetos, donde se ponen en juego cotidianamente diversos discursos y prácticas que dan cuenta de las memorias que identifican a cada posición generacional y que tejen la vida social de una comunidad (Jelin, 2002; Amado 2003). Asimismo, se comprende a la familia como un ámbito particularmente afectado por la violencia y el carácter de la militancia de las décadas de los 60’s, 70’s y 80’s. Para dar cuenta del propósito señalado, se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad semi-estructuradas que indagaron respecto de los ámbitos temáticos de esta investigación, dando espacio y escucha activa a las diversas experiencias que los sujetos quisieron compartir. Las entrevistas fueron realizadas durante los años 2016 y 2017 en Santiago de Chile y Buenos Aires a hijos e hijas de militantes del Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria (MIR) y del Partido Revolucionario de los Trabajadores (PRT), entendiendo las similitudes que ambas orgánicas tuvieron en su momento. El análisis de estas entrevistas se realizó utilizando herramientas de análisis de contenido temático y de análisis de discurso, buscando comprender los significados atribuidos a las experiencias compartidas. Para esto se utilizó el software de análisis cualitativo de datos textuales Atlas Ti, a partir del cual se construyó inductivamente un árbol de códigos. Los/las entrevistados/as reconocen cuatro generaciones como aquellas que participan del diálogo descrito. En este, la generación que protagoniza la demanda de información es la segunda, que es el foco de esta investigación. En torno al contenido de las memorias puestas en relación, es interesante destacar la importancia que tienen los contextos de cada país, generando el marco social que posibilita la emergencia de ciertos relatos e invisibiliza otros. En este sentido, los últimos ciclos de movilización social han instalado nuevas preguntas, surgidas de sujetos jóvenes que comienzan a instalarse en escena. Asimismo, tal como el contexto país incide en la construcción social de la memoria, la temporalidad que supone el ciclo vital conlleva diversos hitos en los que los sujetos son dinamizados a reelaborar sus memorias.
The objective of the present research is to recognize, describe and analyse the mechanisms and situations that hinder, enable and / or dynamize the transgenerational dialogue regarding the recent past in Chile and Argentina (1965 - 2017), identifying the similarities and differences of these processes in each country, from the perspective of the sons and daughters generation of militants, or second generation. Emphasis has been placed on the reports on State terrorism and the militancy of fathers and mothers, and on how these experiences are re-elaborated by the generations that participate in the dialogue within the family space. In this sense, the family is understood as the space of primary socialization, the basis of the identity construction of new subjects, where different discourses and practices are at stake every day that account for the memories that identify each generational position and they weave the social life of a community (Jelin, 2002; Amado 2003). Likewise, the family is understood as an area particularly affected by violence and the militancy character of the 60's, 70's and 80's. To give an account of the stated purpose, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted that investigated the thematic areas of this research, giving space and active listening to the diverse experiences that the subjects were able to share. The interviews were conducted between 2016 and 2017 in Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires to the sons and daughters of militants of the Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria (Left Revolutionary Mouvement), MIR; and the Partido Revolucionario de los Trabajadores (the Revolutionary Workers' Party), PRT, understanding the similarities that both organizations shared at that moment. The analysis of these interviews was carried out using thematic content analysis and discourse analysis tools, seeking to understand the meanings attributed to the shared experiences. For this, the qualitative data analysis software Atlas Ti was used, from which a code tree was built inductively. The interviewees recognize four generations as those who participate in the dialogue described. In this, the generation that leads the demand for information is the second generation, which is the focus of this research. Regarding the content of the memories put in relation, it is interesting to highlight the importance of the contexts of each country, generating the social framework that enables the emergence of certain stories and makes others invisible. In this sense, the latest cycles of social mobilization have installed new questions, arising from young subjects who begin to settle on the scene. Likewise, as the country context affects the social construction of memory, the temporality that the life cycle supposes involves several milestones in which the subjects are dynamized to rework their own memories.

O presente trabalho, mesmo sem a consciência de seu destino, começou a ser esboçado em períodos de residência de arte no Brasil, Índia, Romênia, Israel e viagens a outros países ao longo de 10 anos. Nestas viagens tive o prazer de conhecer países; culturas; locais simples, quase todos fortemente impregnados de espiritualidade; pessoas e comportamentos, tão indescritíveis e abstratos quanto as idéias que hoje ficam vagando. Procurei me concentrar nas memórias, nos acréscimos, que só a experiência e a maturidade trazem. O tempo se encarregou de enxugar e resumir esta trajetória em uma escolha pessoal. Esta publicação, em forma de catálogo de exposição, contém trabalhos realizados durante as viagens, durante o desenvolvimento do mestrado, bem como fotos e textos escritos neste período. São anotações de viagens, fragmentos e reflexões provenientes da construção poética - criativa, compartilhados com as idéias desse percurso e seus inscritos. Ou seja, aquilo que por si está gravado e incluído. As imagens apresentadas reproduzem as obras realizadas a partir de 1995, assim como, as obras desenvolvidas para este projeto de mestrado.
The initial exploration that gave rise to this body of artworks, which were still unaware of their destiny was carried out over 10 years, during artist-in-residence programmes in Brazil, India, Romania, and Israel, as well as during trips to other foreign countries. In all the trips I had the pleasure of getting to know countries and cultures; simple, highly spiritual places, with people behaving in such indescribable and abstract manners like ideas suspended in the air. Meanwhile, I try to concentrate on the memories, on the experience and maturity that come with time, which condenses and abridges this artistic experience into a personal choice. This publication, organized like an exhibition catalogue, presents artworks made both during those trips and along my master\'s degree programme, as well as photos and writings from the same period. They comprise travel notes, fragments and thoughts stemming from the poetic and creative experience of making art, in addition to the ideas that emerge from that experience as well as the inscribed elements, in other words, that which is engraved and included. The images presented in this volume are reproductions of artworks dating back to 1995, and those especially developed during my master\'s degree programme.

Une étude de sa genèse jusqu'au site contemporain manquait jusqu’alors. En se fondant sur des expositions centrales et des vastes matériaux d’archives de la politique et administration des Beaux-Arts, cette étude traite dans un premier temps des pensées et institutions l’occupant dès sa conception : MNAM (1937-1977), conception du Centre Pom-pidou, Musée d’Art et d’Essai (1977-1986), Institut des Hautes Études en Arts Plastiques (IHE-AP, 1988-1990) préfiguration d’Orsay, Maison de la Photographie (1984-1993), projet du Palais des Images/Palais du Cinéma (1984-1998, avec Cinémathèque, FÉMIS, BIFI), puis Site de créa-tion contemporaine (2002-). Projected for national and municipal museums of modern art on the occasion of the 1937 world fair, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris today is an international centre of contemporary art, known, too, by virtue of relational aesthetics brought forward by its co-founder (with Jérôme Sans) Nicolas Bourriaud. A monographic study of its genesis up to the contemporary site was yet mis-sing. This study examines the thought and projects that occupied it, based on central exhibitions and vast materials from the archives of cultural politics and arts administration: National Muse-um of Modern Art (1937-1977), the conception of the Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Art et d’Essai (1977-1986), Institut des Hautes Études en Arts Plastiques (IHEAP, 1988-1990), préfiguration d’Orsay, Maison de la Photographie (1984-1993), a project for Palais des Images/Palais du Ci-néma (1984-1998, with Cinémathèque, FÉMIS, BIFI), Site de création contemporaine (2002-). The study also focuses on its role as monument of the thinking of art’s function in society, from the context of an international exchange on modern museums in the thirties, up to contemporary debates of political aesthetics, particularly of relational art, the discourse of participatory art, ‘New Institutionalism’ and philosophical aesthetics. The study also provides a global view on the genesis of relational aesthetics and its principal critiques. Thus, the Palais de Tokyo is consi-dered as monument, a space of social memory of art following Aby Warburg and a theoretical frame based on Walter Benjamin, informing on its crucial role in the development of formal criteria of theories of art’s social role in the 20th and 21st centuries
