Full textMarked by the specific conception which made it, the tool happens to be the very medium of this conception proving its efficiency through its invisibility. If the plough is used to dig the ground, it also requires the use of the animal haulage to strengthen the human action, and if the musical instrument is needed to play music, it is mainly determined to play a certain kind of music : the instrument represents the theoretical frame of the music for which it was created. Though it is firstly used to play music, the instrument can however be analysed as an object of memory which indirectly plays a significant role in the construction of a symbolical discourse. The sutdy of musical organology of the tools used in electroacoustic creation could then reveal the phenomenon of the "time turned into plastic material" on which they are partly based, and they could also suggest that sound leads to the gesture (or "g-sound"). This sensitive phenomenon can occur thanks to the instrumental "reduction" which is made by the musical interfaces - instruments which do not produce any sound. The transformation of time into plastic material is not the direct consequence of the recording activity, however it is directly implied by the semiotic dimension of the gesture when it is fixed, created or re-composed on the recording material. Because of its relation with movement and time, the electronic music gesture seems to be altered by its impersonal or "had not been" dimension : the study of the perception of time can not go without the analysis of the intrinsic relation between human being and tool

It opens the doors of Unconscious to us to reveal the generating destroying impulses of the social conflicts which chair our existence. Thus, while taking part of the revealing of the tragic reality of contemporary Chile, its work raises, in its general information, the human questions of our time

Abstract: The present thesis is an investigation of writing¿s procedures in two contemporaries brazilian poets, Ana Cristina Cesar and Marcos Siscar, having as conceptual starting the Gilles Deleuze¿s and Félix Guattari¿s philosophy of imanence. Instead of a ¿study of case¿, the objective is the reflexion concerning the contemporary poetry reading, starting from the concept of the sense as event, as it is formuled by Deleuze since his works Logique du sens and Différence et répétition. In this direction, Ana Cristina¿s and Siscar¿s poetries are taken as current brazilian resonances to think the functioning of poetical that would suggest, or would make possible, an imanent reading of the poem¿s plan of composition

Full textOur study of the painting in the poetry aims at analyzing the poetics of the ambivalence of two arts belonging to different artistic traditions. Especially since the poetry by its formal variety and its questioning on the being becomes a field of vast study and privileged. Our analysis limited itself to corpuses chosen, to know the works of Guillaume Apollinaire, Paul Eluard, Francis Ponge and Jean Tardieu which went alongside to painters. It is elaborated from the search for new graphic and plastic forms. Actually, the expression of the painting "in" the poetry indicates this intermediate pictorial space in the arrangement of the words of the poem and especially this intervention of the painting and the drawing in the poetry privileging the visual image in the twentieth century. This intervention allows us to encircle the problem of the poetic image made pictorial. Generally speaking, our method does not answer comparative objectives but it tries to highlight the specificity and the eclectic character of the poetry through a stylistic study of the processes of writing. This stylistic method, while insuring the insertion of the painting in the poetry of the twentieth century, examines a pictorial activity which displays in the poetic frame. It is effectively in the exchange between several arts which lives the poetic language

Full textOur research tries to read the literary work of the Sardinian writer Sergio Atzeni according to a postcolonial perspective. Sergio Atzeni was a pioneer personality in the panorama of Sardinian contemporary literature and we have chosen him because his narrative, poetic and critical work can be analyzed following the approach of the Postcolonial Studies movement. Our study is divided into 3 parts: the first one aims at analysing in the Postcolonial Studies a series of questions appearing relevant for our research. We can mention some topics, such as opposition to dominant power, the concept of Subalternity, Transnationalism, Hybridity, Migration, female representations, and many others. These topics have been examined in the second part, which is the core of our research, dedicated to an extensive study of Atzeni’s thematic Postcoloniality. Our purpose was to show that some questions Atzeni talks about in his literary and critical works lend itself to a Postcolonial reading. The third and last part of our thesis focuses on translation, as Atzeni was also a translator. We looked into his linguistic conceptions, before analyzing his thought concerning his translation activity. After these theoretical considerations, we have analyzed a first translation case, that of Texaco, Patrick Chamoiseau’s novel, translated by Atzeni in 1994. The last part of our research focuses on Atzeni’s French translations

Full textThis work is a translation from French into Arabic of Oswald Ducrot's and Jean-Marie Schaeffer's Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Language Science. The translated linguisitc notions have been classified according to formal procedures applied in linguistics that are intra-lingual borrowings, proper linguistic idioms derived from scholarly inventions, words having suffixes or prefixes and some utterances and expressions having specific linguistic value. The translation brought about some results: There are some terms in Arabic that underline the conceptual difference between terms considered a priori as synonymous. Some terms taken from a common use of language, when translated from French into Arabic fail to give way to major differences. On the other hand there are some parallel cases. Arabic derivational and morphological frames have remarkable flexibility and malleability that allow them to denominate some French linguistic notions. The affixation process is well used in Arabic, but given the differences in the procedures used in both languages, the French words with prefixes and suffixes when translated change their grammatical category most of the time. Arabic has its own means to express, without any semantic loss, some modal expressions or some utterances with specific and syntactic value in French

Full textThis thesis aims to study the literary phenomenon called «Sardinia nouvelle vague» and more particularly the forms and reasons of linguistic mixture between Sardinian and Italian, which characterize the works of Sardinian writers published between 1995 and 2010. Through a diachronic and synchronic study of Sardinian literature we want to show that we are not talking about something new. In fact, the "Sardinian literary renaissance" is the exploit of some authors who take advantage of a climate of strong national vitality, of regional languages, but, above all, a new freedom of expression, inaugurated by the works of Sergio Atzeni in the mid 90s. Despite significant differences in the forms and effects of mixture of language used in novels examined, this feature of the contemporary Sardinian literary scene marks a special attention by the authors to the language spoken on the island in different eras portrayed, whether it's Sardinian, regional Sardinian or Italian. Moreover, the choice of the mix of Sardinian and Italian emphasizes the value attributed to the forms of expression typical of Sardinia as part of a representation of the peculiarities and internal issues, related to the relationship between progress and tradition

Full textObjects of Memory is a master's dissertation in Multimedia Art with a theoreticalpractical nature, which we analyze the concept of memory associated with the postcard’s object. Starting from the aggregation of dichotomous concepts such as memory / myth and Gestalt / narrative unit, we explore relationships based in a construction of the visuality having as resource the static image and the moving image, which intersection is made from the photography with the video. For an interpretation of the postcard and its artistic faculties as an object, we evoke the Mail Art approaching the use of postcards by the Fluxus Group and by artists such as Robert Filliou and Ray Johnson, who in the late 1950s used postcards as artistic objects to communicate with other artists around the world. Gathering the works of Alain Resnais, Chris Marker, Marcel Broodthaers, Orhan Pamuk and Óscar Muñoz, we observed possible relations with the concept of memory within the scope of the project, specifically the work methodology inserted in narrative and visual discourse. For the Objects of Memory final project, we have been developed three videos - Eraser River, Vanishing and I Remember - each one representing a postcard to be projected through a device. From the intersection of images we explored a working methodology that allowed to create visual events with the purpose of transforming theperception of the postcard as a whole. For this, we connected static images (photography) with images in motion (video) through the process of cut, collage and assembly to ensure a logical and perceptive speech in the body’s postcard. Although independent, each one of these videos tries to express the concept of object of memory preserving, in this way, a relation with images of the past which appear analogous to the transformation of a still image into a moving image
