Abstract: Born in 1934, the Beninese philosopher and politician Stanislas Spero Adotevi passed away on February 7, 2024. He remains famous for his radical critique of Léopold Senghor's thought and political practice, but his ideas are often caricatured. This article offers the first academic assessment of Adotevi's analysis of Negritude. Far from another philosophical deconstruction of ethnophilosophy, he elaborates a genuine critique of state power, neo-colonialism, and imperialism in the African postcolony. Although inspired by Marxism, Adotevi's critical theory must be understood as a pan-Africanist reinvention of Black Power activism and philosophy.

Досліджено радіальний приріст Pinus sylvestris L. у Лівобережному Лісостепу. Використано метод накладання епох, сутність якого полягає в тому, що динаміку приросту й кліматичних чинників розглядають у межах 11-річного циклу сонячної активності (циклу Швабе – Вольфа). Створено регіональну хронологію для Лісостепу, яка складається із 62 індивідуальних деревно-кільцевих серій. Зіставлено динаміку деревно-кільцевої індексної хронології RESIDUAL та динаміку чисел Вольфа. Виявлено цикли сонячної активності (СА) за числами Вольфа тривалістю 9–13 років: 1823–1834, 1834–1843, 1843–1856, 1878–1889, 1889–1901, 1901–1912, 1912–1924, 1924–1934, 1934–1944, 1944–1954, 1954–1964, 1964–1976, 1976–1986, 1986–1997, 1997–2008, 2008–2019 та 2019–2030 рр. На гілці підйому СА зафіксовано збільшення кількості опадів та амплітуди коливань показників зволоження й температури. Отже, у вологі періоди доцільно створювати лісові культури, а перехідні до сухих років періоди використовувати для проведення рубок догляду. Виявлено зв’язок між рівнем вологозабезпечення (гідротермічний коефіцієнт), динамікою приросту дерев і пожежонебезпечними сезонами. Дендрохронологічними методами виявлено роки з мінімальною вологістю, тобто пожежонебезпечні, – 2020, 2024 та 2028 рр., а також роки з максимальною вологістю – 2021, 2023 та 2025 рр.

La idea de productividad académica debe ser reconocida en toda su amplitud ideológica en la comunidad universitaria y profesores emergentes en América Latina. Nuestro estudio permite determinar los elementos fundamentales que impulsan a los trabajadores del conocimiento a realizar sus tareas laborales, identificando contextos de referencia para comprender el fenómeno. Se presenta un marco teórico en base a la evidencia empírica del diseño cualitativo, recurrimos a una revisión sistemática de la literatura con el método PRISMA 2000, con fuentes secundarias: Artículos de acceso abierto correspondientes al período del 2000 al 2024; libros de editoriales de prestigio y otras fuentes de 1934 al 2024. Siguiendo el protocolo, se obtuvieron 65 palabras claves generadas por una selección deductiva, donde 17 dimensiones estructuran la propuesta teórica. Nuestros resultados responden a ¿Qué es la productividad académica? ¿Cómo se favorece a los docentes frente a los sistemas de gestión y competencia en la cultura universitaria para la transformación social? ¿Cómo se incrementa la inteligencia emocional mediante la cultura de la competencia en el giro neoliberal a la transformación social? Se concluye con la importancia de la gestión organizacional de manera individualizada y colectiva para aumentar la eficacia y eficiencia en el liderazgo educativo.

За период 1934-2024 годы (90 лет) учеными почвоведами Казахского НИИ земледелия и растениеводства проведены глубокие и детальные морфологические, агрохимические, биологические, физико-химические, физические и микробиологические исследования для установления качественного состояния земельного фонда страны с целью их эффективного использования в сельскохозяйственном производстве. Составлены почвенные карты республики, определены площади пахотнопригодных почв в плане их дальнейшего освоения. Проведены природно-сельскохозяйственное районирование земельного фонда, агропроизводственная группировка и классификация земель для эффективного их использования. Определены параметры изменения основных элементов плодородия почвы в зависимости от применения разных способов обработки почвы, различных севооборотов, органических и минеральных удобрений. Выявлены деградации почв, ухудшения их агрофизического состояния, уменьшение содержания питательных веществ и водного режима на подверженных к эрозии почвах. Разработаны противоэрозионные и мелиоративные мероприятия по защите почв от водной эрозии. Определена численность микроорганизмов под различными сельскохозяйственными культурами и их деятельность. Проведена агроэкологическая оценка и типология земель областей, районов и отдельных хозяйств для разработки адаптивно-ландшафтных систем земледелия. Созданы почвенные, ландшафтные, геоморфологические и другие различные карты областей республики.

Na resenha, objetiva-se apresentar, refletir e tecer uma narrativa do livro “Sistema Nacional de Educação e Plano Nacional de Educação: significado, controvérsias e perspectivas”, uma retrospectiva da ideia e do conceito de sistema e do plano nacional de educação. Surgiu na década de 30, pelos Pioneiros da Educação Nova, pelo Manifesto de 1932, na constituição de 1934. Entre os anos 60 e 90, na LDB 4.024/61 e a ditadura militar (1964-1985), silenciando o tema, voltou na Constituição de 1988. Na década de 90, no plano decenal educação para todos, em 1993, e no governo FHC, na LDB 9.394/96 e o PNE (2001-2010), que fora vetado, quanto ao financiamento. No governo Lula, o projeto de 2010, e no governo Dilma-Temer, pela transformação do projeto de 2010 no PNE (2014-2024), e, dos retrocessos causados pelo golpe de 2016 e da PEC 95/2016. O livro é uma leitura indispensável aos educadores do Brasil.

In January 2024, Russian philosophical community celebrated the 90th anniversary of the birth of the famous Russian philosopher, historian of philosophy and science, Piama Pavlovna Gaidenko (1934–2021). Iskra Stepanovna Andreeva used to call her “Russian Diotima”, and Erikh Yurievich Solovyev called her an “incomparable interlocutor”. She had an amazing ability to speak simply, clearly, and historically substantively about complex subjects. Her works wonderfully combined subject’s depth, rationality of argumentation, relevance of the studied problems and existential insight into them. Her epistemological style turns out to be strikingly consonant with the Russian tradition of “positive philosophy”, which is based on the idea of concreteness, the aspiration to achieve a “single, internally connected, holistic, and concrete knowledge of reality”, as formulated by Gustav Gustavovich Shpet. This tradition also includes the philosophical concepts of Pamfil Danilovich Yurkevich, Princes Sergey Nikolaevich and Evgeny Nikolaevich Trubetskoy, Lev Mikhailovich Lopatin, and many others. The continuity of Piama Pavlovna’s epistemological style with the Russian intellectual tradition is also evidenced in the letter of Russian philosopher and bibliographer Pavel Khristoforovich Kananov (1883–1967), addresed to her (a drift dated 1966 was recently discovered in his archive). We assume that “improvised lucubrations in the midnight hour” written by an “existentialist before existentialism” will make us think once again about the specifics of existential philosophy in Russia. Hyaluronic acid is a biopolymer that has gained attention from both researchers and the public since its discovery in 1934. In 2022, its global annual demand was 667 MT, with a market value of 9.4 billion dollars and an expected compound growth rate of 7.7% from 2024 and 2030. Such popularity lies in its many applications, which ranges from pharmaceutical to Tissue Engineering. Its molecular weight (MW) determines which application hyaluronic acid is better suited for: high MW (over 1 MDa) is used in medical applications such as osteoarthritis and ophthalmology, and low MW (less than 0.05 MDa) are suited for moisturizing cosmeceuticals. This makes hyaluronic acid molecular weight an important parameter for its production. The first industrial process was based on extraction from rooster combs. However, it shifted toward microbial production with Streptococcus zooepidemicus. Studies focus on improving its production and tailoring its molecular weight by accessing optimum temperature, pH, aeration, agitation, carbon, and nitrogen sources concentration and origin. his review aims to provide an overview of the current knowledge on the effects of metabolic and environmental factors in microbial hyaluronic acid production. The review shows that there has been extensive research in optimizing cultivation medium composition, temperature, pH, and aeration between 2018 and 2023, but further studies are required to optimize the metabolism of S. zooepidemicus towards maximum biopolymer production and molecular weight.

Abstract Background: Cetuximab and panitumumab are monoclonal antibodies targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), that provide clinical benefit to metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients with RAS wild-type (RASWT) tumors. Unfortunately, intrinsic or acquired resistance to these therapies limits their clinical effectiveness, necessitating the development of more efficient therapeutic strategies. Onvansertib is an oral, small molecule, selective inhibitor of the PLK1 kinase, currently in clinical development for KRAS-mutant mCRC. The aim of this study was to assess the anti-tumor activity of onvansertib monotherapy and in combination with cetuximab in RASWT CRC patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models. Methods: Twenty RASWT CRC PDXs were selected and engrafted in nude mice. Once tumors reached 200-350-mm3, mice were treated with vehicle, onvansertib (60mg/kg, QD), cetuximab (20mg/kg, BIW) or the combination for 18 days. PDX models were chosen based on their sensitivity to cetuximab, resulting in a selection of 7 cetuximab-sensitive (CetuxS) and 13 cetuximab-resistant (CetuxR) PDXs, including 7 with intrinsic resistance and 6 with acquired-resistance. Tumor volume change from baseline (TVC) was calculated as 100%x(Vt-Vo)/Vo and tumor growth inhibition (TGI) as 100%x(TVCcontrol-TVCtreated)/TVCcontrol. Tumor regression was defined as TVCD18<0 and tumor stasis 0≤TVCD18<100. Results: Cetuximab sensitivity was confirmed in the selected models, cetuximab induced tumor regression in all the CetuxS PDXs, while no or limited activity was observed in the resistant models (median TGI=29%, IQR 16-61). Onvansertib exhibited potent anti-tumor activity in 17 (85%) PDXs, resulting in tumor regression (n=11) or tumor stasis (n=6). Onvansertib TGI at Day 18 was not significantly different in CetuxS PDXs (median TGI 102, IQR 76-103) compared to CetuxR PDXs (median TGI 108, IQR 74-124), supporting that onvansertib anti-tumor activity is independent of the sensitivity/resistance to cetuximab. The combination of onvansertib and cetuximab induced tumor regression in 18 (90%) PDXs. The combination showed significantly improved efficacy compared to individual therapies in some of the models. Conclusions: Onvansertib monotherapy displayed potent anti-tumor activity in RASWT CRC PDX models, independently of their sensitivity to cetuximab. Additionally, onvansertib combined with cetuximab exhibited either comparable or superior anti-tumor activity than the monotherapies. Collectively, this data supports the clinical development of the PLK1 inhibitor onvansertib for RASWT mCRC. Abstract The SET-NUP214 (S/N) fusion gene, which results from either cryptic t(9:9) (q34;q34) or del(9) (q34.11q34.13), is found in a very narrow spectrum of patients diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) or T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). AML patients with S/N fusion were reported to have relatively poor prognostic outcomes despite receiving myeloablative conditioning. While previously, the fusion has been described to overrepresent HOX cluster genes, the underlying mechanism of gene regulation that contributes to the pathology remains elusive due to the rare incidence of the disease. The current study used the MEGAL (ACC719, DSMZ) cell line, identified as the solo megakaryocytic AML line expressing the S/N-fusion, for determining genome-wide DNA methylation (DNAm) and gene expression using 935K Infinium MethylationEPIC v2.0 BeadChip array and RNA-sequencing, respectively. The differential DNAm and expression data were analyzed and compared to the hematopoietic stem progenitor cells (HSPC) or normal megakaryocytes (MK). The ChIP-sequencing data from the S/N positive T-ALL cell line LOUCY has been used to represent the coincidence of regulatory chromatin marks and differentially methylated CpG (mC) sites. We observed n=1934 genes upregulated and n=2396 downregulated in MEGAL, compared to both HSPC and MK. The direction of expression changes between MEGAL and HSPC and MEGAL and MK showed a high correlation (r=0.92, p< 0.01). Per the previous literature, we observed an overrepresentation of HOX genes (n=19) in MEGAL. Based on DNAm profiling, we noticed a propensity of hypermethylation in MEGAL across the promoters (93%±0.6), bodies (93%±0.8), and intergenic (85%±0.3) regions, compared to HSPC/MK. Next, we integrated the mC and expression at the promoters and identified that the majority (75%±3) of the genes belong to the hyper-down (n=2563 against HPSC; n=1907 against MK) or hyper-up (n=965 against HPSC; n=923 against MK) clusters. We further investigated the HOXB (HOXB7, HOXB8, HOXB9) and HOXC (HOXC10, HOXC12, HOXC13, HOXC13-AS, HOXC4, HOXC5, HOC6, HOXC8, HOXC9, HOXC-AS1, HOXC-AS2, and HOXC-AS3) cluster genes, where hypermethylated CpGs mainly were concentrated at the CpG islands and overlapped with active promoter (H3K4me3, H3K4me1) signatures or enhancer-like (CTCF bound) elements. We also observed frequent overlaps between mC and H3K36me3 across the observed genes. The differentially expressed genes in this AML subtype were enriched for the hippo-signaling pathway, calcium signaling, focal adhesion, and PI3-Akt pathways. Collectively, our data showed that S/N favors genome-wide hypermethylation, which, in conjunction with the cis-regulatory elements, induces overrepresentation of the HOX cluster genes. Abstract: Industrial schools were the dominant mechanisms for the social rehabilitation of wayward juveniles in North America from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century. The research concerning such schools in shaping young lives is scattered within the historiography of youth. Girls were taught domestic skills and boys were trained in trades such as agriculture. Forced labor was not punishment but seen as moral uplift for troubled youth. This article studies the British Columbia Boy's Industrial School from 1919 to 1934 under David Blackwood Brankin, whose "honor system" combined discipline, strict work routines, regimented leisure, and a minimum of compulsory schooling. Brankin's court missionary work in Great Britain and military career shaped his vision of juvenile social rehabilitation until his retirement in 1934. His replacement was an educator trained in psychology and mental hygiene methods of youth reclamation.

Istniał on w latach 1934-1939 i był miejscem, w którym przetrzymywano przeciwników politycznych obozu sanacyjnego, który sprawował wówczas władzę w Polsce. Dopuszczano się tam w stosunku do osadzonych tortur psychicznych i fizycznych. Funkcję lekarza obozu pełniło dwóch lekarzy wojskowych, mjr dr. K. Dietl i kpt. dr S. Gutowski. Prowadzili oni Ambulatorium i Izbę Chorych, a w razie konieczności przekazywali pacjentów do Szpitala Powiatowego w Kobryniu. Każdy z nich na miarę swoich umiejętności zawodowych i doświadczenia starał się nieść pomoc osadzonym więźniom politycznym.

Чучмія, аналогів який на той період не існувало у світовій практиці селекції кукурудзи, отримання посадкового матеріалу суниці та картоплі на безвірусній основі, розмноження локальних плодових культур тощо. У статті автором акцентовано увагу на тому, що І.П. Чучмій був ініціатором співробітництва із господарствами та науковими установами, надаючи їм потужне науково-методичне консультування у питаннях насінництва польових культур. Також автор статті наголошує на тому, що талант І. П. Чучмія як філолога - сатирика не поступався таланту вченого-експерементатора у галузі рослинництва, адже його літературна спадщина активно використовується при написанні статей та дисертаційних досліджень із філології.Автор статті приходить до висновку, що справою всього життя Івана Петровича Чучмія була селекція гібридної кукурудзи, яка була основою традиційною аграрної культури багатьох регіонів України протягом не одного століття. Впровадивши в життя численніселекційні інновації професор І.П. Чучмій та представники його наукової школи досягнули колосального результату в еволюції вітчизняного рослинництва, методів їх впровадження та адаптації до локальних.

The paper deals with the issue of forming a system of local archives in Russia on the example of functioning of district (city) archives of the Sverdlovsk region from 1934 to 1991. The subject of the study is the network of the lower level archives in the Middle Urals. Based on the historical-institutional approach, an attempt is made to reconstruct the state policy in the field of archiving. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of archival policy, the institutional system of the local archives management and the activity areas as well as the dynamics of the change in the number of archival institutions. Separate consideration is given to the special role of the departments and branches in the regional archival systems. The stages of creating an archival network are dealt with sequentially: the search for a model of a local archival system in Soviet Russia, its implementation (1919–1934), the beginning of the formation of local archives in the Sverdlovsk region (1934–1938), the subordination of the archives to the NKVD-MVD (1939–1956) and their reassignment to the district executive committees (1956–1991). The article concludes on the specific features of the information culture in the USSR, the essential principles of the Soviet archival system and the contradictory trends in the development of the key element of the Russian archival system. The research was carried out on the basis of the documents from the State Archives of the Sverdlovsk Region.

Hemagglutinin (HA) is the major envelope glycoprotein and antigen on the surface of influenza virions. The glycoprotein comprises a globular head and a stalk region. While immunodominant epitopes on influenza HA head are highly variable, the stalk domain is conserved. The variability of the HA head causes the antigenic drift that made the requirement of annual update of vaccine strains. Induction of antibody against the stalk domain has been proposed as an approach for a broadly protective influenza vaccine strategy. Sequential exposure to influenza strains with highly diverse HA heads but conserved stalks have been shown to induce antibody to the low immunogenic stalk domain. Here, we tested this approach by using old influenza vaccine strains that are decades apart in evolution. Inactivated whole virion vaccine of influenza A/Puerto Rico/8/1934, A/USSR/92/1977, and A/Thailand/102/2009 (H1N1) was sequentially immunized into BALB/c mice in comparison to immunization using single strain (A/Thailand/102/2009 (H1N1)). The sequentially immunized mice developed higher levels of binding antibody to the stalk domain. These suggested that using old vaccine strains in sequential vaccination may be a possible approach to induce antibody to the conserved stalk domain.

The article affects an issue of the place and role of high-performance sports in the socio-political life of the USSR of the 1920s – 1930s. Creating the concept of sports development in the country, the Soviet leadership focused primarily on the issues of physical culture, which did not imply the presence of a competitive element in it. However, the development of Soviet sports in the period under review was extremely heterogeneous, and therefore the role of sports competitions was changing. The author analyzes those transformations using documents published by organizations that managed Soviet sports in the 1920s – 1930s and materials of the periodical press. Special attention is paid to the regulations of 1933–1934, which finally established the highperformance sports in Soviet society, their prerequisites, causes and results. The author comes to the conclusion that a sharp turn towards the development of high-achievement sports in the USSR in 1933–1934 led to the legitimization of sport as a profession and was associated with the implementation of certain foreign policy strategies, in particular, with the need to develop international relations with both proletarian and bourgeois forces in Europe against the background of the nazi threat. Abstract: Following ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, Dr. Delia Dixon-Carroll (1872–1934) delivered dozens of speeches across North Carolina ahead of the general election in fall 1920, appealing to white women to register and vote for Democratic candidates. A suffragist, clubwoman, and Raleigh's first woman physician, she embodied the new woman of the early twentieth century while also extolling the traditions represented by the Democratic party, notably the white supremacy campaign of 1898 and Charles Aycock's administration. Stumping alongside the state's most powerful Democrats, she assured those who had opposed suffrage that white women would use their newfound political power to preserve the status quo, telling crowds that "when it comes to a question of white supremacy, the women of North Carolina will be there." A stalwart partisan and spokesperson who was recognized by her contemporaries as a party leader, Dixon-Carroll campaigned for Democrats for the rest of her life.

The paper examines early Soviet reception of Ernest Hemingway's works. The research is based on the readers’ letters to Goslitizdat (State Publishing House) from the funds of the Russian State Archive of Literature and Arts (RGALI). A small collection of letters (1935–1936) shows readers’ reaction to the first Hemingway’s Soviet book editions: a short story collection Death in the Afternoon (1934) and Fiesta (1935). The readers unanimously condemn Hemingway for his “decadent” prose and Goslitizdat for publishing such “absurd” and “harmful” books. The only exception is a short positive review of the novel A Farewell to Arms (1936) sent to Goslitizdat in 1937. To uncover the reasons for the negative readers’ reception one should turn to the literary criticism of the 1934–1935, especially the essays by Ivan Kashkin who introduced the new author to the Soviet reading audience. A comparative analysis of readers’ feedback and critical discourse shows that the ambivalent and even contradictory image of the writer created by the critics made the readers think of Hemingway’s works as “decadent”, “bourgeois” and alien to Soviet people. Another reason was the innovative nature of Hemingway’s modernist prose which seemed obscure, confusing and unintelligible; the Soviet reader obviously preferred “clarity” and “simplicity” of Erskine Caldwell’s or Theodore Dreiser’s realistic writings. The situation changed by the 1937, when Hemingway was praised by both Soviet critics and readers as an anti-fascist writer, a heroic defender of the Spanish Republic.

The VII World Congress of the Comintern 1935 led to a sharp change in the tactics and strategy of the international communist movement and to a transition from radical “class against class” tactics to the formation of broad united anti-fascist fronts. In the period 1935-1939, the policy of “popu-lar fronts,” which consisted of building political alliances be-tween left-wing parties and organizations to fight the right, was implemented in many countries. In Latin America, where this tactic was implemented even before the VII Congress of the Comintern, “popular fronts” became widespread, some-times playing a significant role in the history of their coun-tries. Historiography covers in detail the history of the estab-lishing of alliances in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Cuba, etc. How-ever, the history of the organization of the “popular front” in Peru is less covered, although this story is interesting in that it largely reflects the problems that faced the sections of the Comintern. An attempt to form a "popular front" in Peru in 1934-1935, primarily based on the creation of an alliance be-tween the Communist Party of Peru (the CPP) and the Ameri-can Popular Revolutionary Alliance (the APRA) to participate in the 1936 elections, failed. There were several reasons for this: from the personal hostility of the APRA leader V.R. Haya de la Torre to the leader of the CPP E. Ravines before the policy that the CPP implemented according to the direc-tives of the Comintern during the period of “class against class” tactics in 1930-1933.

ABSTRACT Sitamarhi, situated in the North-Bihar region of the Himalayan foothills is one of the seismically vulnerable regions of India. This region faced several devastating earthquakes, such as the 1934 and 1988 Bihar Nepal earthquake and the 2015 Nepal earthquake due to the movement of tectonic plates. The purpose of the present study is to exhibit the uniform hazard spectrum (UHS) and peak ground acceleration (PGA) values based on the probabilistic seismic hazard method using different seismotectonic parameters. The Gutenberg Richter (G-R) seismicity parameters ‘a’ and ‘b’ were estimated on the basis of regional earthquake magnitude data for the studied region. Regional earthquakes data were taken from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), International Seismological Centre (ISC), Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), and Seismotectonic Atlas of India. The region of interest for the probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) is within a 500 km radius considering past seismicity and 62 seismotectonic sources which were identified in the study area. Large-scale geological features were utilised to describe the regional seismic source zones, which were used to derive the relationship between return period and ground motion parameters. Estimated PGA values are 0.92g for 2% and 0.68g for 10% probability of exceedance in 50 years time period, respectively. This research infer that the West Patna fault (WPF) and Sitamarhi fault (SMF) are the two maximum contributors in PGA for the Sitamarhi region.

ABSTRACT: This article explores the significance of higher-dimensional and Non-Euclidean geometries in the weird horror fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, particularly in "The Dreams in the Witch House" (1933) and "From Beyond" (1934). Charting a new direction for studies of geometry in Lovecraft's fiction, this article argues that said tales speculate on the role higher dimensions play in the qualities, capacities, and tendencies of physical matter, all the while emphasizing the need for topological investigations that examine the interrelations of time, space, and matter in Lovecraft's weird cosmos. The first part of the paper reviews the suite of mathematical and scientific discoveries informing Lovecraft's treatment of higher-dimensional and Non-Euclidean geometries in his mythos. Focusing on alien artifacts made of unknown chemical elements from higher dimensions, the second part of the paper underscores how matter is a site of onto-epistemological crisis for Lovecraft, owing to the way that it behaves with both lawful regularity and startling unpredictability. The final part of the paper uses the philosophies of Graham Harman and Reza Negarestani—two contemporary thinkers explicitly influenced by Lovecraft—to bring the weird writer's own brand of speculative, higher-dimensional (hyper-)materialism into relief, in ways that not only expose the fundamental rifts in matter but also those tensions that characterize Lovecraft's intellect itself.

Summary The village Reppichau in Sachsen-Anhalt, situated near the towns Dessau, Köthen and Aken (former principality of Anhalt), is closely connected with Eike von Repgow – the author of the most famous mediaeval German law book “Saxon Mirror” (Sachsenspiegel). The law book was written by him between 1220 and 1235. Based on this fact, representatives of science, politics and justice periodically organized in collaboration with the villagers anniversary celebrations, for example 1934 (700st year of the death of Eike von Repgow) and 1959 (800st year of the first documented mention of the village Reppichau). So it happened that the minister of justice of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), Hilde Benjamin (1902–1989), held a keynote speech in Reppichau on 28 June 1959. She was one of the leading representatives of the ruling Socialist Unity Party of Germany during the early years of the GDR. She became famous as a presiding judge in political show trials with court rulings including exceptionally harsh punishments up to the death penalty. This women, who was also known as “Red Hilde” or “Bloody Hilde”, used the opportunity of her speech in Reppichau in order to integrate Eike von Repgow, the Saxon Mirror and the villagers into the ruling ideology of the early GDR. Furthermore, she attacked the NATO in general and the Federal Republic of Germany in particular with propaganda phrases. The text of this speech, representing an interesting example of contemporary legal history, is edited here for the first time based on an original copy.

The plots of his works were rewritten many times and became a reason for reflections. “The Sorrows of Young Werther” became the most popular work among contemporaries, and gave rise to a fashion for the form of the epistolary novel, as well as established a model of Werther’s behavior as an example to follow. If in the 19th century Goethe was a stable, unchallenged authority for many literary generations, then in the era of modernism writers polemicized regarding the German genius status and his works. In the article, the authors try to trace how the 20th century literature reflects on Goethe and his hero using the example of the long short story “The Narrow Gate” (1907) by Andre Gide (1869–1951), “Tropic of Cancer” (1934) by Henry Miller (1891–1980) and «Lottа in Weimar» (1939) by Thomas Mann (1875–1955).

Objectives. This study aimed to clarify the role of intrauterine insemination (IUI) within the clinical practice of a regional infertility center. Methods. A retrospective, single-center, non-randomized study was conducted on 1934 women with infertility who sought evaluation and treatment at the regional infertility center between April 28, 2001, and December 31, 2021. This study involved a comparative analysis of patients undergoing IUI with either partner sperm or donor sperm. Various factors such as age, ovarian stimulation, number of mature follicles (IUI multiplicity), and duration of treatment were examined to assess their impact on the outcomes of infertility treatment. Results. The study revealed a decrease in the success rates of intrauterine inseminations using partner sperm in women aged 36 and older, with a success rate of 5.1% to 8.9% (p=0.027) compared to patients aged 30-35. Conversely, when using donor sperm for IUI, the pregnancy rate was higher in women under 30 years of age, at 16.9% versus 7.6% in women aged 36 and older (p=0.0001). Furthermore, the study found no significant advantage of using IUI in cases of infertility with unspecified causes. Conclusion. Intrauterine insemination (IUI) can be an effective treatment for infertility under specific circumstances, such as when the male partner is absent, experiences erectile dysfunction, or has secretory azoospermia. The research revision of materials from the 1932 and 1934 collections of the world-famous geoarchaeological site Malta, stored in the Kunstkamera (St. Petersburg), was carried out in the spring of 2023. The purpose of the analysis was to identify lithic artifacts with marks of Aeolian corrasion as part of the study of the corraded industries of the Angara-Belsk geoarchaeological district of South Angara. As a results, 3 663 artifacts were examined, among them 71 corraded items were identified. The results present the corraded component of Malta's lithic industry practically does not differ from the «classical» cultural layers by technical, typological and petrographic features. But unique type of the point with ventral base thinning has no analogue in «classic» assemblage. And if previously these artifacts were interpreted in a regional context as cultural markers of the Initial Upper Paleolithic, now it is proposed to consider them as an element of the Gravett (?) technocomplex in Malta and one more proof of European-Siberian cultural link in author's opinion.

Our contemporary Arkady Vasilyevich Sokolov (1934–2023) specialized in many disciplines within the documentology sphere, namely library science, bibliography, informatics, noocommunicology, etc., and documentology, in particular. The author focuses on this aspect of Sokolov’s work. His interest in documentology raised naturally from informatics, with his starting point in 1962. Professionally engaged in information search, Sokolov explored the nature of information, which finally culminated in the monograph “The philosophy of information” in 2010. In those days library scientists were willing to become the part of information science persuading – themselves, first of all – that that the library science was an information discipline. Sokolov’s many and rather substantial arguments were contradictory. He criticized reasonably the interpretation of library functions in the 1994 Federal Law “On librarianship” by emphasizing that it was a mistake to set the information function against the others. However, instead of calling for adequate statement functions he tried to rationalize this inaccuracy. Similarly, the inappropriate approach he applied to the comparison of “information” and “document”, “document” and “book’ concepts. Meanwhile, Arkady Sokolov has expanded significantly the field of documentology by introducing the concept of documentosphere into the philosophy of documents. He started developing the concept of Bibliologos that encompasses the whole field of documentology. The author concludes that Arkady V. Sokolov’s contribution to documentology is great and undeniable.

Linguistic personology has remained a popular linguistic direction in Russia for more than thirty years. This discipline studies a native speaker or a linguistic personality with their own worldview, mentality, language fluency, linguistic creativity, and ability to understand someone else’s speech. The famous Russian philologist Vladimir V. Kolesov (1934–2019) was a prominent figure in Russian linguistics. However, in his last publication, he criticized both the term linguistic personality and the entire linguistic personology. Although specialists overlooked this criticism, it is important for linguistic personology. This article reveals the philosophical and methodological foundations of V. V. Kolesov’s criticism, as well as interprets the arguments he published in 2009-2021. First, the authors traced the development of anti-personological trends in V. V. Kolesov’s lifetime publications. Second, they identified the prerequisites for the criticism of the theory of linguistic personality. Third, they analyzed the posthumous publication of The Conceptual Field of Russian Consciousness as a synthesis that reinterpreted the previous criticism. The methods of contextual analysis, reconstruction, philological hermeneutics, and comparison made it possible to obtain two theoretical models that explain V. V. Kolesov’s conclusions about linguistic personology. The authors believe that the last thirty years of V. V. Kolesov’s scientific work was a gradual slide towards recognizing linguistic personality as an important tool in describing mentality.

The article, based on archival sources, highlights the biography of the edcuator, one of the first leaders of the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko, Yosyp Rozhnovskyi. The goal of the article is to provide a comprehensive coverage of the biography of Y. Rozhnovskyі, a manager and teacher, and to identify promising areas for further research. The scientific novelty of this article lies in the fact that the biography of Y. Rozhnovskyі became the object of a separate scientific study for the first time. Particular attention is focused on the “Sumy period” of Y. Rozhnovskyіʼs life (1925, 1933–1941), when he headed the Sumy Higher Three-Year Pedagogical Courses (early July 1925), Sumy Pedagogical College (July – October 1925), worked as a lecturer at the Sumy Pedagogical Institute (September 1933 – July 1934) and taught at the Sumy Machine-Building College (September 1937 – September 1941), the horizontal connections of the studied figure in the field of pedagogical education of the USSR of the 1920s – 1930s are revealed. The portrait photo of Y. Rozhnovskyі is published for the first time. The methodological basis of the study is based on the biographical method, using the principles of scientific objectivism, historicism, and consistency using general scientific methods of synthesis, analysis, and generalization. Conclusions: The analysis of the available source base allowed us to cover the life and activities of Y. Rozhnovskyi until September 1941. The pedagogical and managerial activities in the “Sumy period” (1925, 1933–1941) are analyzed in detail. In the general context of the biography, the period of his work as the head of the Sumy Pedagogical College and teaching at the Sumy Pedagogical Institute is highlighted.

The aim of the article is to consider the history of the creation, ideology and main stages of the activity of one of the main parties of North Caucasians in exile - the “People’s Party of the Cauca-sus Highlanders,” which functioned in Europe from 1926 until the start of World War II. The sources of this article were the documents from the archives of France and Russia, as well as arti-cles by the leaders of this party. The party’s head, a Turkish citizen and the grandson of Imam Shamil - Said, is given special focus, as is the role of Polish politician and military figure Tadeusz Schetzel. The author investigates party membership, ideology, and the attitudes of its ideologists (B. Bilatti, T. Elekhoti, B. Baitugan, etc.) toward the “Caucasian Confederation” concept. This ar-ticle aims to study the tools of the party’s activities (future war, League of Nations, etc.). There are four periods in the party’s activity: 1926–1930, 1931–1933, 1934–1936, 1937–1939. The au-thor investigates both internal and foreign issues in the party. The “People’s Party of the Caucasus Mountain People,” on the one hand, did not have significant success in the socio-political life of North Caucasian emigrants in Europe in the 1920s-1930s, did not gain authority and respect among compatriots, but, on the other hand, it was a very important experience in the highlanders’ political activities and a very deep stage in the development of their political self-awareness.

the article is devoted to the problem of the formation and functioning of the Komi writers’ organization in the period 1920–50s. A significant stage in its history is the holding of the I All-Union Congress of Soviet Writers (Moscow, 1934) and the participation of the Komi delegation in it. The article examines the forms and degree of influence of the results of the congress on the work of the Komi Writers’ Union, the development of national literature and journalism. Objective: determination of the main trends in the development of the Komi literary process as a result of the I All-Union Congress of Soviet Writers. Research materials: archive documents, articles in periodical press, verbatim report of the I All-Union Congress of Soviet Writers. Results and novelty of the research: the delegates to the I All-Union Congress of Soviet Writers with the casting vote from the Komi Writers Union were M. P. Doronin and V. T. Chistalev. The article is the first to study in detail the fact of their participation in this event. It has been established that the event influenced the further work of the Komi Writers Union and the process of development of literature. It is concluded that the results of the congress of the Communist Party of Bolsheviks, as well as establishing external literary connections, attracting writers’ attention to national folklore, and organizing work with novice authors.

In this article the countertext method is tested as an experimental psycholinguistic procedure in relation to the peculiarities of perception of a literary game text. A game text can be understood as a work in which a language game performs plot-forming and meaning- forming functions and requires the recipient to decode game codes which are unique to the author’s idiostyle. In this regard, the depth of understanding of the text depends on the level of its complexity, partially determined by the leading gaming technique, and the interpretation strategy that corresponds with the degree of formation of linguocultural and linguocreative competencies. The object of reader reception in this study is the novel by S.D. Krzhizhanovsky “Drawing by feather” (1934). The game technique used in it is grotesque, which highlights the author’s idea through intertextuality and linguistic allusive- symbolic markers. Game codes lead to implicatures that one need to decode, thus make perception of this text peculiar. The results obtained during the experiment with philology students demonstrate the variety of aspects of perception of the author’s intention and degrees of understanding of the text. Specific strategies relevant for the analysis of game text are identified: situationally compensating plot and orienting strategies, dialogue and intertextual strategies, the game “connection” strategy, and the strategy of metalinguistic commentary, which is relevant for philology major respondents. The study determines the prospect of refining the procedure of the experimental method of countertext.
