Artikkeli käsittelee 2000-luvun Suomen sisällissotaan sijoittuvaa teatterielokuvaa. Käsiteltäviä elokuvia on viisi: Raja 1918 (Lauri Törhönen, 2007), Käsky (Aku Louhimies, 2008), Täällä Pohjantähden alla (Timo Koivusalo, 2009), Täällä Pohjantähden alla II (Koivusalo, 2010) sekä Taistelu Näsilinnasta 1918 (Claes Olsson, 2012). Tutkimusongelmana on, miten ja millaisin kerrontatekniikoin sisällissodan historia esiintyy elokuvissa. Abstract:
O principal objetivo do artigo é analisar as relações entre o Brasil e a África do Sul em perspectiva histórica. Uma vez iniciadas, essas relações atravessaram três grandes fases. No primeiro momento, que foi de 1918 a 1947, prevaleceu o comércio como fator da aproximação, constituindo-se tal período em momento de encontros e descobertas mútuas. A segunda fase, de 1947 a 1991, foi marcada pelo estabelecimento de relações diplomáticas e pelo gradual distanciamento entre os dois países. A última grande fase vem sendo marcada pela reaproximação entre Brasília e Pretória, uma vez que foi removido o principal empecilho para a concretização de relações prósperas entre os dois países, ou seja, o fim da política de apartheid. Durante esse último período, iniciado com o processo de democratização da África do Sul no alvorecer da década de 1990, há o renascimento das relações, em um contexto em que se vislumbra a possibilidade do estabelecimento de uma parceria estratégica, que interessa diretamente aos dois países.

Statistical quality-control methods were used to detect significant changes in the mean and variance of the annual fire occurrence and area burned in Canada (1918–2000), Ontario (1917–2000), and northwestern Ontario (1917–2000). The quality-control chart method employed uses the first half of the record of a process as a baseline to test for significant changes in the mean or variance of the process in the second half of the record. Significant increases were detected in annual area burned and in fire occurrence in Canada, Ontario, and northwestern Ontario.

Six species of Favia were found in this study i.e, Favia pallida (Dana, 1846), Favia speciosa (Dana, 1846), Favia favus (Forskål, 1775), Favia truncatus (Veron, 2000), Favia rotundata (Veron and Pichon, 1977) and Favia matthaii (Vaughan, 1918). The species with the highest percentage of coral cover was Favia pallida (0,386 %). The values of Dominance Index showed that there were no dominant Favia species on Kampung Ambong coral reef flats. Diversity Index (H’) of Favia was 1,47. There are two distribution patterns shown by Favia on Kampung Ambong coral reef flats area, which are clumped and uniformed.Keywords: Favia, Distribution ABSTRAKDalam penelitian ini ditemukan 6 spesies karang genus Favia, yaitu Favia pallida (Dana, 1846), Favia speciosa (Dana, 1846), Favia favus (Forskål, 1775), Favia truncatus (Veron, 2000), Favia rotundata (Veron and Pichon, 1977) dan Favia matthaii (Vaughan, 1918). Spesies dengan persentase tutupan karang tertinggi adalah Favia pallida (0,37 %). Nilai Indeks Dominasi menunjukkan tidak ada spesies karang genus Favia yang dominan pada rataan terumbu Kampung Ambong. Indeks keanekaragaman karang genus Favia menunjukkan nilai H’ = 1,47. Terdapat dua Pola distribusi yang diperoleh dari karang genus Favia di rataan terumbu Kampung Ambong, yaitu mengelompok dan seragam.Kata Kunci : Favia, Distribusi

Abstract:
Dans cet article, les auteurs tentent de présenter systématiquement l’évolution des relations économiques entre la Serbie et la France. Pour cela, les auteurs partent d’une revue de l’histoire des relations économiques, nécessaire à la compréhension du contexte contemporain. La revue historique comprend une analyse des relations économiques entre la Serbie et la France à travers les étapes suivantes : 1. 1878-1918 ; 2. 1918-1939 ; 3. 1945-1991, et 4. 1991-2000. Les tendances contemporaines sont examinées pour la période allant des changements politiques en Serbie en 2000 jusqu’au 2020. L’histoire des relations économiques indique l’importance du niveau de coopération économique pour le caractère des relations politiques globales entre les États. Presque en règle générale, on peut remarquer qu’un niveau plus élevé de coopération économique a entraîné l’amélioration des relations politiques entre les deux pays, et vice versa, et que les années ’90 représentent la période des relations économiques et politiques les plus faibles de l’histoire de relations entre la Serbie et la France. Avec ce niveau de relations économiques, on est entrée en un nouveau millénaire. L’observation de la période postérieure aux années 2000 indique cependant l’amélioration des relations économiques entre les deux pays, observée à travers les relations de commerce extérieur et le mouvement des investissements directs étrangers (IDE). La base de l’amélioration des relations est la libéralisation des relations commerciales entre la Serbie et l’Union européenne (UE) réalisée par la conclusion de l’Accord de stabilisation et d’association (ASA), ainsi que l’arrivée d’entreprises françaises en Serbie, qui a été lancée au début des années 2000 avec l’ouverture de l’économie serbe. Cette évolution est à la base d’attentes optimistes quant à une coopération économique productive entre les deux pays dans les années à venir.

Abstract:
Introducción: la gripa que ocurrió entre 1918-1919 causó la mayor mortalidad en la historia de las pandemias, se estima que 50 millones de personas fallecieron. Se realizó un estudio históricoepidemiológico a partir de fuentes documentales contrastadas con un análisis estadístico de 142 963 registros de defunción consignados en los libros parroquiales de 94 municipios de Boyacá y los censos de los años 1912, 1918 y 1928. Desarrollo: a partir de las fuentes primarias obtenidas, se reconstruye la realidad socio-sanitaria de Boyacá y el desarrollo cronológico de la pandemia en el departamento. La gripa era conocida en Boyacá antes de la pandemia. Durante el periodo pandémico (1918-1919) se encontraron 20 102 decesos en los libros parroquiales, 3305 registrados como gripa, de los cuales el 80.9 % ocurrieron en los últimos 3 meses de 1918, siendo los menores de 4 años el grupo poblacional más afectado. Conclusiones: después de la pandemia, la gripa se hace endémica en Boyacá. En el periodo pandémico, la tasa promedio de mortalidad en los municipios ubicados sobre los 2000 msnm es tres veces mayor a aquellos que se encuentran por debajo de esta altura. Las condiciones de pobreza y hacinamiento acentuaron la letalidad de la pandemia, por lo que fueron ineficientes las acciones de las direcciones de higiene para enfrentarla. Las juntas de socorros y la Junta Patriótica de Sanidad son las únicas que realizaron acciones efectivas.

Abstract:
Досліджено стиглі та перестиглі дубові насадження в Поліссі та Лісостепу, які ростуть в умовах свіжого сугруду та свіжого груду. Встановлено кліматичні чинники, які впливають на радіальний приріст дуба звичайного (Quercus robur L.) в Поліссі та Лісостепу і порівняно його реакції на зміни клімату в обох природних зонах. Виявлено реперні роки максимального (1891, 1902, 1924, 1931, 1957,1971, 1987) та мінімального (1895, 1906, 1918, 1922, 1929, 1936, 1950, 1976, 1992, 2000, 2005) радіального приросту дуба звичайного для Полісся, а також позитивні (1971, 1978, 1987) та негативні (1918, 1922, 1929, 1936, 1950, 1976, 1992, 2000, 2005 реперні роки для Лісостепу. Негативні реперні роки характеризуються дефіцитом опадів, посухами вегетаційного періоду, холодними або занадто теплими зимовими та ранньовесняними періодами, а позитивні –. сприятливим для росту дерев співвідношенням тепла і вологи. Для першого періоду (1960-1988 рр.) виявлено позитивний вплив зимових та ранньовесняних температур на радіальний приріст дуба у Поліссі і Лісостепу. У другому періоді (1989-2013 рр.) відбувся протилежний сценарій – значне підвищення зимових та ранньовесняних температур призвело до зменшення радіального приросту. У другому періоді дубові насадження в Поліссі більше потерпали від теплих зим, ніж насадження в Лісостепу. Негативний вплив посух вегетаційного періоду на приріст посилився у другому періоді для обох насаджень. Упродовж другого періоду опади суттєво втратили позитивний вплив на приріст у насадженнях як Полісся, так і Лісостепу. Підтверджено гіпотезу щодо посилення чутливості реакції радіального приросту дуба звичайного до змін клімату в Поліссі та Лісостепу.

Rhagophthalmidae are a small beetle family known from the eastern Palaearctic and Oriental realms. Rhagophthalmidae are closely related to railroad worms (Phengodidae) and fireflies (Lampyridae) with which they share highly modified paedomorphic females and the ability to emit light. Currently, Rhagophthalmidae include 66 species classified in the following 12 genera: Bicladodrilus Pic, 1921 (two spp.), Bicladum Pic, 1921 (two spp.), Dioptoma Pascoe, 1860 (two spp.), Diplocladon Gorham, 1883 (two spp.), Dodecatoma Westwood, 1849 (eight spp.), Falsophrixothrix Pic, 1937 (six spp.), Haplocladon Gorham, 1883 (two spp.), Menghuoius Kawashima, 2000 (three spp.), Mimoochotyra Pic, 1937 (one sp.), Monodrilus Pic, 1921 (two spp. in two subgenera), Pseudothilmanus Pic, 1918 (two spp.), and Rhagophthalmus Motschulsky, 1854 (34 spp.). The replacement name Haplocladon gorhami Kundrata, nom. nov. is proposed for Diplocladon hasseltii Gorham, 1883b (described in subgenus Haplocladon) which is preoccupied by Diplocladon hasseltii Gorham, 1883a. The genus Reductodrilus Pic, 1943 is tentatively placed in Lampyridae: Ototretinae. Lectotypes are designated for Pseudothilmanus alatus Pic, 1918 and P. marginalis Pic, 1918. Interestingly, in the eastern part of their distribution, Rhagophthalmidae have remained within the boundaries of the Sunda Shelf and the Philippines demarcated by the Wallace Line, which separates the Oriental and Australasian realms. This study is intended to be a first step towards a comprehensive revision of the group on both genus and species levels. Additionally, critical problems and prospects for rhagophthalmid research are briefly discussed.

This work presents the first descriptions of the pupal morphology of five species of western Palaearctic clearwing moths Bembecia abromeiti Kallies & Riefenstahl, 2000, B. handiensis (Rämisch, 1997), B. lomatiaeformis (Lederer, 1853), B. psoraleae Bartsch & Bettag, 1997, and B. vulcanica (Pinker, 1969) in the genus Bembecia—subgroup ichneumoniformis. The main morphological features are described and illustrated with photographs and line drawings. Diagnostic characters, as well a key for the determination of pupae of the studied species and related taxa, Bembecia ichneumoniformis (Denis & Schiffermüler, 1775) and B. albanensis (Rebel, 1918) are presented.

After Thorstein Veblen, Wesley Mitchell, and John R. Commons, Walton H. Hamilton (1881–1958) was one of the leading figures in American institutional economics in the interwar period (Rutherford, 2000, 2001, 2003). Indeed, Hamilton (1916: 863 n.) originally coined the very term ‘institutional economics’. He announced its existence and defined its essential outlook at the annual meeting of the American Economic Association in December 1918 (Hamilton, 1919). Institutional economics then emerged in America as a broad movement, attracting support from a large number of leading economists. Significantly, ‘Hamilton should be credited with having played the role of chief promoter’ (Dorfman, 1974: 28).

Urbanization is a dynamic process performed at the expense of natural and/or semi-natural areas, with direct impacts on the ecosystem services provided to human society. The increasing population density in urban areas and the associated demand for housing and public services have led to progressive changes in the structure, architecture, and design of urban areas. The present study analyzes long-term urban development in Western Romania, focusing on green/blue areas’ strategies in Timisoara over centuries. The empirical results of a literature review carried out with a historical perspective have delineated the time periods that favored “urban green development” (1716–1918 and 1918–1940) and those restricting their development (1940–2000), as well as the factors that influenced long-term urbanization dynamics and the evolution of green/blue areas. These factors can be generalized to other socioeconomic contexts in Eastern Europe. Characteristic issues of this geographical area impacting the evolution of urban green/blue areas include (i) common historical aspects (e.g., the influence of geo-political and strategic dimensions, the dominations of former great empires such as the Turkish empire and the communist period) and (ii) population migration after 1990.

Abstract:
The article reviews military missions of 16th border battalion during First World War. It starts in the 1916 in Dobrudja, then during the period 1916 – 1917 conducts operations in Romania and in 1918 at Macedonian front. In two years, in campaigns and battles, the company traveled over 2000 km. There is no other border formation with such a long battle route. The various geographical conditions for conducting the combat operations, the different enemies and combat tasks require the battalion to use various tactical options, which is not typical for the regular military formations. A unique combat experience has been gained that has not been studied for more than 100 years.
