Abstract:

A force de mener des enquêtes au sujet de la chronique Thuróczy par Ignác Andrássy, nous nous sommes trouvés confrontés à l’histoire de plusieurs exemplaires détruits ou latents. La fortune des exemplaires de l’édition de Brin est difficile à reconstruire pour deux raisons. Premièrement: á la fin du 19e et au premiers tiers du 20e siecle plusieurs ventes aux enchères ont eu lieu, deuxièmement: un vol survenu aux années 1880 a contribué à rendre plus compliquées les affiliations de provenance. Des sources d’archives facilitent la recapitulation de l’histoire des volumes en question, néanmoins, nous pouvons pas éviter les affirmations hypothétiques. On ne peut pas exclure que l’exemplaire de Miklós Jankovich se trouve, depuis 1830, à la bibliothèque Raleigh aux Etats-Unis. Le volume ayant appartenu à Lajos Farkas est, selon toute probabilité, à la bibliothèque universitaire de Moscou. Les exemplaires d’Ignác Andrássy, de György Ráth et d’Enea Lanfranconi sont disparus. Des 8 éditions ayant vu le jour à Brin entre 1873 et 1919, la fortune de 5 est aujourd’hui inconnue ou incertaine. D’autres exemplaires latents pourront émerger á des ventes aux enchères, puisque les éditions brinoises figurant dans les catalogues des 18e-20e siecles appartiennent sansdoute à des collections privées.

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the genesis of New Mexican Spanish during the colonial period (17th and 18th centuries) as the consequence of ‘new dialect formation via koinéization’ (Trudgill 1986, 2004, Kerswill & Williams 2000, Kerswill & Trudgill 2005). It focuses primarily on the evidence for yeísmo, i.e. the merger of the medieval palatal lateral and palatal fricative phonemes, in a corpus of documents written in the century following the resettlement of New Mexico by Spanish speakers in 1693. The analysis shows that the resettlement involved contact between two groups of speakers exhibiting widely divergent levels of prevalence of the merger, causing the loss of the phonemic contrast in the community in as little as one generation. This contradicts several previous assumptions about the chronology of Latin American yeísmo and about the role of koinéization in the origins of New World Spanish. Resume Cette etude analyse la genese de l’espagnol du Nouveau-Mexique pendant la periode coloniale (17e et 18e siecles) en tant que consequence d’un processus de ‘formation d’un nouveau dialecte par nivellement dialectal’ (Trudgill 1986, 2004, Kerswill et Williams 2000, Kerswill et Trudgill 2005). L’etude se concentre principalement sur le yeismo, phenomene de fusion de deux phonemes distincts en espagnol medieval (une consonne laterale palatale et une fricative palatale), et ce dans un corpus de documents ecrits un siecle apres le retour des espagnols dans cette region en 1693. L’analyse montre que ce retour des espagnols a provoque le contact entre deux groupes de locuteurs qui presentaient chacun des differences nettes pour ce qui est de la confusion des deux phonemes, aboutissant a leur fusion, dans cette communaute, en a peine une generation. On soutient aussi que ces donnees contredisent plusieurs des hypotheses anterieures sur la chronologie du yeismo americain et sur le role qu’a joue le nivellement dialectal dans la diachronie de l’espagnol du Nouveau Monde. Zusammenfassung In diesem Beitrag wird die Entstehung des Spanischen in New Mexico wahrend der Kolonialzeit (17. und 18. Jahrhundert) als Folge eines Prozesses ‘neuer Dialekt-Bildung durch Koineisierung’ (Trudgill 1986, 2004, Kerswill und Williams 2000, Kerswill und Trudgill 2005) analysiert. Der Augenmerk liegt hauptsachlich auf den Beweisen fur yeismo, d.h. der Fusion zwischen zwei mittelalterlichen Palatalen, lateral und frikativ, in einem Korpus von Dokumenten, die im Jahrhundert nach der spanischen Umsiedlung Neumexikos 1693 geschrieben wurden. Die Analyse zeigt, dass durch die Umsiedlung zwei Gruppen von Sprechern, die enorm unterschiedliche Auspragungen dieser Fusion aufwiesen, in Kontakt gekommen sind. Dies fuhrte in dieser Gemeinschaft zu dem Verlust des phonemischen Kontrasts in weniger als einer Generation. Es wird auch argumentiert, dass diese Beweise einige fruhere Annahmen uber die Chronologie des lateinamerikanischen yeismo und uber die Rolle der Koineisierung in den Ursprungen der spanischen Sprache in der Neuen Welt widerspricht.

Artykuł stanowi analizę niepublikowanych wspomnień Adama Żurawina, konfidenta gestapo i osoby kojarzonej z tzw. sprawą Hotelu Polskiego. Żurawin spisał je przed samą śmiercią; dają one rzadką okazję do przyjrzenia się osobie współpracującej z Niemcami oczami jej samej. Analiza prowadzona jest z kilku dopełniających się perspektyw; historycznej (porównanie z innymi źródłami), literaturoznawczej (poetyka dokumentu osobistego i autokreacja) oraz psychologicznej (motywacje, uczucia). Żurawin we wspomnieniach bowiem kreuje siebie jako rycerza – bohatera, który nie splamił się współpracą, a prowadził z Niemcami (a także z Polakami) grę, mającą na celu wyłącznie ratowanie własnej rodziny. Le debut du 14e siecle est caracte"rise" par une serie de tempetes violentes qui modifient serieusement les cotes et l'estuaire de l'Escaut occidental. En 1334, par une mare'e tempete violente, Scarphout et Coudekerke disparurent en mer. En 1337, une nouvelle mare'e tempete sevit et plusieurs villages sur les lies de Wulpen et Schooneveld sont engloutis. A cette epoque, le Comte de Flandres, Jean Sans Peur, fait construire les digues de defense le long du littoral flamand. Ces digues s'appellent encore aujourd'hui les digues du Comte Jean. En 1404, le hameau de Harendijke au nord de Wenduine disparut de la carte.

Abstract:

W artykule zrekonstruowano przebieg współpracy Konstantego I. Gałczyńskiego z tygodnikiem „Prosto z Mostu”, wychodzącym w latach 1935–1939. Poczyniono ustalenia bibliograficzne. Ze szczególną uwagą uwzględniono listy poety, opublikowane na łamach wspomnianego tygodnika. Przedstawiona epistolografia nie była dotychczas badana i przedrukowywana. Miniatury listowe odznaczają się językową pomysłowością, poliglotyzmem i erudycją. Gałczyński zgłasza swoje sprawy osobiste w kontekście kwestii rangi wyższej, społecznej, a nawet narodowej i państwowej – albo odwrotnie. Autor przedstawia siebie jako człowieka ideowego, pryncypialnego i odpowiedzialnego nie tylko za dobro własne, ale także żartuje, polemizuje, parodiuje. Treść listów wnosi pewną wiedzę o biografii Gałczyńskiego i jego poglądach (na przykład o relacjach polsko-żydowskich), a także świadczy o jego umiejętności kreowania własnego wizerunku i wpływania na odbiór własnej twórczości. Artykuł uzupełnia aneks, w którym podane są opracowane krytycznie omawiane listy, a także zapomniane minirecenzje Gałczyńskiego, opublikowane w ankiecie „Prosto z Mostu”: "Jaką najciekawszą książkę przeczytałem".

Abstract:

Felietony filmowe Andrzeja Własta ukazywały się w latach 1923-1924 na łamach czasopisma „Ekran i Scena”, skąd zaczerpnął je do przygotowanego przez siebie zbioru Wojciech Świdziński. W edycji Biblioteki Kwartalnika Filmowego teksty Własta zebrane w omawianym tomie Dziesiąta Muza (impresje). Felietony filmowe z lat 1923-1924 (2017) zyskały staranne opracowanie naukowe i graficzne (fotografie, reklamy), osadzające je w kontekście polskiego życia literackiego i kabaretowego oraz rodzimej krytyki filmowej. Lektura impresji Własta dostarcza materiałów na temat warszawskiego życia filmowego, kinoteatrów jako instytucji, ich publiczności oraz repertuaru. Jest ponadto sposobem na odtworzenie doświadczeń filmowych – tych subiektywnych samego autora, i tych wpisanych w epokę oraz rozwój Dziesiątej Muzy. Włast pisał swoje felietony w błyskotliwy i dowcipny sposób, starając się przy tym uchwycić najważniejsze aspekty kina jako sztuki. Dlatego czytając jego teksty warto potraktować je jako zapis refleksji o charakterze teoretycznym, łączącej krytykę z rozważaniami nad istotą filmowej kreacji, której przykłady odnajdywał w kinie amerykańskim i europejskiej awangardzie.

W artykule Aktualność historiozofii autor porusza problem aktualności filozofii dziejów. Tekst składa się z czterech części. W pierwszej części autor dokonuje krótkiego przeglądu wybranych przez siebie koncepcji historiozoficznych. Kolejno przybliżona zostaje myśl Tukidydesa, św. Augustyna, Georga W.F. Hegla, Karola Marksa, Oswalda Spenglera, Arnolda J. Toynbee’ego, Feliksa Konecznego, Francisa Fukuyamy oraz Samuela P. Huntingtona. Część druga artykułu jest poświęcona najważniejszym zarzutom, jakie we współczesnym dyskursie filozoficznym są wysuwane wobec myślenia historiozoficznego. Autor zwięźle omawia pięć zarzutów: 1. brak powodów, dla których należałoby rozwijać tradycję historiozoficzną; 2. zupełna nieprzewidywalność dziejów; 3. zbytni katastrofizm myślenia historiozoficznego; 4. ahistoryczna postawa współczesnego człowieka; 5. nie istnieje pozahistoryczna, jednolita i niezmienna rama odniesienia dla procesu dziejowego. W części trzeciej autor kolejno odpiera przywołane zarzuty, wskazując na ich najważniejsze słabe punkty. Przytoczone zostają ponadto odpowiednie kontrargumenty. W ostatniej części autor dokonuje podsumowania przeprowadzonych analiz. Dochodzi również do konkluzji, że problematyka historiozoficzna jest wciąż aktualna, a jej dalsze rozważanie jest celowe zarówno ze względów teoretycznych, jak i praktycznych.

Abstract:

„Album Wileńskie” to inicjatywa patriotyczno-krajoznawcza podjęta w połowie lat czterdziestych XIX-wieku przez związanego z Wileńszczyzną lekarza, kolekcjonera i wydawcę – Jana Kazimierza Wilczyńskiego (1806-1885). Wilczyński w odpowiedzi na zaobserwowane przez siebie niszczenie zabytków kultury polskiej przedsięwziął akcję zmierzającą do ich upamiętnienia. Zamawiając u artystów malarzy, często na koszt własny, odwzorowania wybranych dzieł (obrazów, budowli, portretów, przedmiotów historycznych), drukował je następnie (w trosce o jak najlepszą jakość) w Paryżu w zakładach litograficznym Lemerciera bądź Drouarta. W pracę nad „Album” zaangażował cały sztab rysowników, rytowników i drukarzy. Przez 40 lat działalności wydawnictwa ukazało się kilkaset litografowanych i chromolitografowanych rycin w poszytach należących do 6 podzielonych ze względu na format serii. Ryciny sprzedawano też oddzielnie, więc pomimo ekskluzywnego charakteru całości, były dostępne również dla mniej zamożnych. Ze względu na wyjątkowo mały format i odmienność wykończenia zwracają uwagę – należące do serii V – obrazki święte z tłoczoną papierową koronką (czarno-białe lub kolorowe), przeznaczone do książek do nabożeństwa, prezentujące ideę patriotyczno-krajoznawczą w skali mikro. Wyobrażono na nich wizerunki świętych według historycznych obrazów znajdujących się (czasami „niegdyś”) w kościołach na terenie Litwy – w szczególności Wilna – Wołynia, Podola, Grodzieńszczyzny, czy nawet Krakowa, Poznania i Warszawy. Ukazało się, według różnych rachunków, 200-300 wzorów. Rycinki kosztowały tanio, a rozprowadzane przez księży katolickich trafiały „pod strzechy”. Na odwrocie pozostawały puste bądź zawierały modlitwę – prostą anonimową lub wierszowaną z podanym autorem. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie grupy obrazków z hymnami polskich poetów: Władysława Syrokomli (Ludwika Kondratowicza), Teofila Lenartowicza, Juliana Ursyna Niemcewicza, Karoliny Proniewskiej i Deotymy (Jadwigi Łuszczewskiej). Autorka zapoznaje czytelnika z dotychczasowym stanem badań na ten temat; podaje katalog odnalezionych przez siebie w Muzeum Narodowym w Warszawie oraz Litewskim Archiwum Literatury i Sztuki w Wilnie egzemplarzy; prezentuje teksty wierszy (niektóre do tej pory niepublikowane); pokazuje trudności związane z badaniem obrazków z „Album” i proponuje kierunki dalszych poszukiwań.

Abstract:

This article introduces Open Awareness Inquiry – a participatory process that may aid qualitative researchers in the context of exploring the transpersonal and transformative dimensions of consciousness. Researchers will gain insight into the theory and application of Open Awareness (OA) Inquiry as a potential resource in qualitative research. Characteristics of OA include rapport and mutual resonance (Bandler & Grinder, 1976; Siegel, 2013), a participatory perspective (Ferrer & Sherman, 2011), mindfulness (Siegel 2010), empathy (Watson, 2004), and a state of conscious awareness that moves individuals and groups away from a fixated tunnel awareness, to a state of openness, receptivity and equanimity (Dangeli & Geldenhuys, 2018). These characteristics indicate that OA may be beneficial in all three stages of research, as described by Anderson and Braud (2011). The authors encourage optimising a “context of discovery” in these stages of the research (2011, p. 189). By virtue of its inherent characteristics, OA promotes such a context of discovery. Abstract:

O presente artigo tem por objetivo fazer uma análise teológica e histórica do personagem Superman. A criação de Jerry Siegel e Joe Shuster apresenta paralelos claros com a história de Moisés e padrões que o aproximam dos antigos profetas judeus do Antigo Testamento. No entanto, Superman é um produto cultural que ao mesmo tempo é produtor e construtor de uma determinada época. Assim, o que será investigado é o Superman da Era de Ouro, caracterizada por histórias escritas pelos próprios criadores, para se perceber o quanto a Grande Depressão americana marcou a origem do personagem e como ele marcou as pessoas que vivenciaram esse período histórico. Desta feita, o artigo aborda as narrativas do Superman como fontes históricas ricas sobre a cultura do século XX propondo, inclusive, uma metodologia do trabalho que tem a história em quadrinhos como fonte para o estudo da história, então, perceber a teologia contida nessas histórias e a consequente razão do seu sucesso.

Abstract:

W artykule omówiono problem kształtowania się własności ziemskiej w rękach szlachty w okresie habsburskim na obszarze księstwa głogowskiego, pozostającego wydzieloną częścią administracyjną ówczesnego władztwa czeskiego. Poruszono głównie kwestie związane z potencjałem ludnościowym księstwa, z jego terytorium, na bazie czego dokonano analizy rozwoju drobnej, średniej i wielkiej własności ziemskiej. Majątki szlacheckie księstwa głogowskiego powierzane były w posiadanie na podstawie trzech porządków prawnych. Główny podział przebiegał na linii dziedziczności bezwarunkowej, dziedziczności lennej oraz formy przejściowej. U podstaw takiego zróżnicowania leżała skomplikowana historia księstwa głogowskiego tak w środkowym, jak i późnym średniowieczu, a więc jego przynależność do Korony Czech, władania nim przez Piastów głogowskich, a następnie powierzenie go w ręce członków polsko-litewskiej dynastii Jagiellonów (Jana Olbrachta i Zygmunta Jagiellończyka, Władysława Jagiellończyka i Ludwika II). Opisane zróżnicowanie pod względem wielkości majątków i ich pozycji prawnej względem króla Czech związane było z występowaniem tutaj takich form, jak tzw. władztwa, fideikomisy, majoraty i wolne państwo stanowe. Właściciele każdego z nich dysponowali odmiennymi prawami do ziemi, a ich majątki – wraz z podnoszeniem rangi – mogły stać się nawet odrębnymi jednostkami administracyjnymi, których właściciele mogli pozyskać dla siebie prawa równe książęcym (w tym np. osobną pozycję w życiu publicznym przez uzyskanie głosu indywidualnego podczas obrad sejmu śląskiego).

Abstract:

Celem projektu było zbadanie potencjalnych związków, występujących między troską duchową, samowspółczuciem, współczuciem wobec innych i przebaczeniem dyspozycyjnym u osób duchownych. Zweryfikowano mediacyjną rolę samowspółczucia i współczucia innym w relacji między troską duchową a dyspozycją do przebaczenia. W badaniu wzięły udział 183 osoby duchowne. Wykorzystano następujące narzędzia: Kwestionariusz Troski Duchowej, Skala Współczucia dla Samego Siebie, Skala Współczucia dla Innych oraz Skala Przebaczenia. Analizy korelacyjne wykazały pozytywne, istotne statystycznie, związki między troską duchową i przebaczeniem dyspozycyjnym, jak również między współczuciem sobie i innym a przebaczeniem i troską duchową. Ponadto, dzięki analizom mediacyjnym, stwierdzono, iż zarówno samowspółczucie, jak i współczucie innym pełniły funkcję mediacyjną w relacji troski duchowej i przebaczenia dyspozycyjnego u osób duchownych.

In this article we construct a p-adic three-dimensional eigenvariety for the group $U$(2,1)($E$), where $E$ is a quadratic imaginary field and $p$ is inert in $E$. The eigenvariety parametrizes Hecke eigensystems on the space of overconvergent, locally analytic, cuspidal Picard modular forms of finite slope. The method generalized the one developed in Andreatta, Iovita and Stevens [$p$-adic families of Siegel modular cuspforms Ann. of Math. (2) 181, (2015), 623–697] by interpolating the coherent automorphic sheaves when the ordinary locus is empty. As an application of this construction, we reprove a particular case of the Bloch–Kato conjecture for some Galois characters of $E$, extending the results of Bellaiche and Chenevier to the case of a positive sign.

Abstract:

In this study, the author hypothesized that a high belief in a just world for Self (BJW-S), coupled with high perceived self-efficacy, would contribute to preservation of self-esteem in threatening social comparison. Participants (N=186) completed the General Self-Efficacy Scale (Walliser, Schwartzer, & Jerusalem, 1993) and the BJW-S and BJW for Others (BJWO) scales (Lipkus, Dalbert, & Siegler, 1996). They were then given either an upward (unfavorable) or downward (favorable) social comparison in the academic field. The results suggested that BJW-S (but not BJW-O) coupled with high self-efficacy contributed to maintaining self-esteem in the face of an unfavorable social comparison. However, in cases of low perceived self-efficacy, BJW-S acted in the opposite direction: when BJW-S was low, self-esteem was not affected by unfavorable social comparisons, while it decreased when BJW-S was high.
