Abstract:
Cardiovascular disease diagnosis is the most difficult task in medicine. The diagnosis of heart disease is complicated because it requires the grouping of massive volumes of clinical and pathological data. As a result of this dilemma, researchers and clinical professionals have developed a strong interest in the efficient and exact prediction of heart disease. When it comes to heart disease, it is critical to obtain an accurate diagnosis at an early stage because time is of the essence. Heart disease is the largest cause of death worldwide, and early detection of heart disease is critical. Machine learning has evolved as one of the most progressive, dependable, and supportive tools in the medical field in recent years, providing the greatest assistance for disease prediction when properly trained and tested. The primary objective of this research is to evaluate several algorithms for heart disease prediction.

Abstract:
This paper seeks and examines N-symmetric vortical solutions of the two-layer geostrophic model for the special case when the vortices (or eddies) have vanishing summed strength (circulation anomaly). This study is an extension [Sokolovskiy et al. Phys. Fluids 2020, 32, 09660], where the general formulation for arbitrary N was given, but the analysis was only carried out for N=2. Here, families of stationary solutions are obtained and their properties, including asymptotic ones, are investigated in detail. From the point of view of geophysical applications, the results may help interpret the propagation of thermal anomalies in the oceans.

Calibara, Jonathan B., and Ruel R. Cabahug. "Effects of Water-Reducing Admixture on the Compressive Strength of Concrete Using Crushed Mangima Stone as Fine Aggregate." Mindanao Journal of Science and Technology 18, no. 2 (December 7, 2020). http://dx.doi.org/10.61310/mndjstiect.0966.20.

Full text
Abstract:
Crushed Mangima stone as an alternative concrete aggregate has been studied and found to provide concrete with comparable compressive strength to that of the conventional concrete. This study investigated the effect of water-reducing admixtures in concrete production using crushed Mangima stone as fine aggregate. Waterreducing admixture with a variance of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5% by weight of cement was added to the concrete mixture. A water-cement ratio of 0.57 was used for this study. Samples were cured at seven, 14, and 28 days and tested for compression after each curing period. The compressive strength of concrete using water-reducing admixtures showed an early strength and passed the minimum requirement of 3,000 psi. Results revealed that through the use of admixtures, compressive strength obtained from all samples was higher than the control mixture. This means that using crushed Mangima stone has its potential to be used as fine aggregate in a structural concrete mixture with the addition of water-reducing admixture.
