B. A. Serebrennikov’s biography is an excellent example of scientific preparation and research of a universal comparativist who was able to resolve challenging issues of historical-comparative studies of languages belonging to different language families and groups. Criticizing Altaic theory as a theory of Altaic languages kinship, B. A. Serebrennikov did not completely reject it; he compared the challenge with Turkic, Mongolian and Tungus-Manchurian languages to the one that researchers face in their historic-comparative studies of languages from other families. Despite the criticism of certain statements of his opponents, he did not aim at ruining the Altaic theory as such but called on researchers to improve it through looking for better proof for the kinship. After 30 years since publishing of B. A. Serebrennikov’s works, the orthodox Altaic concept that acknowledges the kinship of Turkic, Mongolian, Tungus-Manchurian, Korean and Japanese languages has made their positions stronger, Turkic-Mongolian-Tungus-Manchurian contacts and lexical isoglosses have been enriched by new material, and “Counter-Altaic” concept denying the kinship of Altaic languages has perished as a theory not having found enough positive facts to support itself.

Krymsky, made a sharply critical review of the publication.21 The accusations against the different nuances of the translation of the source and the comments to it, largely imagined, ended with a conceptual accusation that the book is published in Ukrainian language, and on the rosascoradyanskoi lingua franca that, coupled with the mention zbrojna agrees Russie22, it looks like a political denunciation. Киевский тюрколог А.И. Галенко, сводя, похоже, какието личные счеты с Институтом востоковедения им. А. Крымского, выступил с резко критической рецензией на публикацию21. Упреки в отношении различных нюансов перевода источника и комментариев к нему, большей частью надуманные, завершились концептуальным обвинением в том, что книга издана не на украинском языке, а на росiйськорадянськой lingua franca , что, вкупе с упоминанием збройно агресi Росi 22, похоже на политический донос. Таким удивительным образом антиохийский патриарх и его сынархидиакон, бывшие свидетелями политических потрясений в Восточной Европе три с половиной века назад, оказались вовлечены в сегодняшнее кипение страстей. В заключение хочется пожелать всем исследователям, участвовуюшим в Макариевском проект, успешного завершения работы над изданием этого главного произведения арабохристианской литературы Нового времени, а также новых свершений и открытий на поприще изучения Христианского Востока.

Mongɣol-un niɣuca tobčiyan, the “Secret History of the Mongol,” is the only work of its kind from the era of the Mongolian world Empire, it has a complex history as a text but was originally written in (Middle) Mongolian. It is a linguistically very rich source, not only for the Mongols but for many other groups who are seen allied with or appear fighting against the Mongols, the latter bearers of the power of Eternal Heaven and of the potent sanction of the ancestors. Thus, in addition to overt political assertions to guide the new Mongolian Empire, and its rulers’ managers, and commanders, and containing carefully selected and crafted statements of events of myth and history. These are designed to buoy up the imperial state of affairs and Mongolian society in general, Adapted documents and even works of a literary character are among the devices used to this end. Given its nature, it is only to be expected too that the “Secret History” also is a rich source of a full history behind the scenes of told by the personal names and epithets, and titles of Mongols, but also the names, epithets, and titles of many non-Mongols who had military, political and diplomatic contacts with the Mongols in the early 13th century. These names, epithets, and titles tell entirely their own story. Thus, grasping their potential importance, these names, epithets and, titles have been studied by many researchers, from a variety of perspectives.Here, we, a Mongolist and a Turkologist, have banded together, to follow in the footsteps of these investigators who have gone before, offering our historical-comparative analysis of the related words inal/inanča/inaq, and their semantic and morphological structure, examined within a larger context of the “Secret History” and its monumental, literary linguistic and cultural world. Our analysis will be primarily based on the “Secret History,” but also on other historical texts and documents, as well as information offered by Mongolists, but also provided by those in closely related disciplines, in Turkology in particular, for example, this is only natural since Mongols and Turks closely interacted in building an empire, and the new, often mixed cultures that emerged from it. Mongɣol-un niɣuca tobčiyan, «Тайная история монголов», является единственным в своем роде произведением эпохи Монгольской мировой империи, оно имеет сложную историю как текст, но изначально было написано на (средне) монгольском языке. Это очень богатый с лингвистической точки зрения источник не только для монголов, но и для многих других групп, которые были замечены в союзе с монголами или воюющими против них, последними носителями силы Вечного Неба и могущественной санкции предков. Таким образом, в дополнение к открытым политическим утверждениям, направленным на руководство новой Монгольской империей, ее правителями, менеджерами и командирами, а также содержащими тщательно отобранные и обработанные утверждения о событиях мифа и истории. Они предназначены для поддержки имперского положения дел и монгольского общества в целом. Среди средств, используемых для этой цели, адаптированные документы и даже произведения литературного характера. Учитывая ее характер, следует также ожидать, что «Сокровенная история» также является богатым источником полной закулисной истории, рассказанной личными именами, эпитетами и титулами монголов, а также именами, эпитетами, и титулы многих немонголов, имевших военные, политические и дипломатические контакты с монголами в начале XIII в. Наш анализ будет основываться, прежде всего, на «Сокровенной истории», но также и на других исторических текстах и документах, а также на информации, предложенной монголистами, но также предоставленной представителями близкородственных дисциплин, в частности тюркологии, например, это вполне естественно, поскольку монголы и тюрки тесно взаимодействовали в построении империи и возникших из нее новых, часто смешанных культур.

Статья посвящена памяти крупного тюрколога, исследователя сибирских тюркских языков Н. Н. Широбоковой. В ней даны сведения об этапах ее жизненного пути и освещен вклад ученого в тюркологию и в подготовку молодых исследователей. Н. Н. Широбокова разработала концепцию, объясняющую отношение якутского языка к тюркским языкам Южной Сибири, доказав, что ранняя изоляция якутского языка позволила сохранить черты, которые в древнетюркском и древнеуйгурском языках подверглись затемнению из - за смешанного характера этих языков и процессов этнического смешения. Наталья Николаевна выявила, что следующим языком, оказавшим воздействие на южносибирские тюркские языки в виде перестройки их языковых систем, был язык древних кыргызов, с которым связано становление языков кыпчакского типа в Южной Сибири. The article is devoted to the memory of the major turkologist, researcher of the Siberian Turkic languages N. N. Shirobokova. It provides information about the stages of her life path and highlights the contribution of the scientist to Turkology and to the training of young researchers. N. N. Shirobokova developed a concept explaining the relation of the Yakut language to the Turkic languages of South Siberia, proving that the early isolation of the Yakut language made it possible to preserve features that in the Old Turkic and Old Uigur languages were obscured because of the mixed nature of these languages and the processes of ethnic mixing. Natalya Nikolaevna discovered that the next language that had an impact on the South Siberian Turkic languages in the form of restructuring of their language systems was the language of the ancient Kyrgyz, which is associated with the formation of the Kipchak - type languages in South Siberia.

В ней даны сведения об этапах ее жизненного пути и освещен вклад ученого в тюркологию и в подготовку молодых исследователей. Н. Н. Nowadays, phytonyms are gaining great importance in scientific linguistics, they are considered as an etymone reflecting the practical life of a person. The article proves that the names of plants preserve the cultural values of peoples, nations and ethnic groups, their history. At the same time, the names of plants occurring as an appellative in the composition of other Turkic languages, prove the definitions of names in the named language. Phytoonyms, as carriers of relics of the past culture of the Kyrgyz people, are of great importance in upbringing, the next generation in the future. Since these language units contain not only the mental characteristics of these peoples, but at the same time the typological forms of the expression of concepts in the Turkic languages are most clearly reflected. From this point of view, first of all, the author emphasizes the general linguistic meanings of phytoonyms in the formation of metaphors.

Статья представляет собой новые дополнения к персональной библиографии венгерского путешественника, востоковеда и публициста Арминия Вамбери (1832–1913). Автор, ссылаясь на опубликованное в 2020 г. третье издание персональной библиографии Вамбери, составленное немецким тюркологом Михаэль Кнюппель (Michael Knüppel), и на собственные дополнения, опубликованные им в 2019 и 2020 гг., представляет вниманию исследователей более 90 до сих пор неизвестных публикаций, написанных Вамбери или другими исследователями о нем.
