Full textThe thesis for the scientific degree of the Candidate of Technical Sciences by specialty 05.05.17 – hydraulic machines and hydropneumatic units. – National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", Kharkiv, 2017. The dissertation describes research of perfected pneumatic starting system of a main restartable liquid-propellant rocket engine destined for a launch vehicle upper stage. The starting system, which structure includes a part of the engine pneumatic unit, performs turbopump spin-up by supplying compressed helium to its turbine. A feature of the system is application of a pneumatically controlled helium pressure regulator. New complex of discrete-continual mathematical models is developed and implemented in the designing practice for the gas-dynamic analysis of this pneumatic system and analysis of friction forces and gas leaks through fluoroplastic lip-type seals of regulators. New computational method is proposed for the developed system’s dynamic stability research. The gas-dynamic characteristics of a metal hose are researched. New concept of the laboratory stand is developed and implemented to enable helium saving at development tests. Experimental-computational research of the pneumatic system is performed, recommendations of which are introduced into the engine in relation to the regulator parameters reducing oscillations and improving other dynamic characteristics.

Full textThe dissertation is devoted to raising of the efficiency and reliability, determination of area of rational application of pneumatic units on the basis of vortex expansion machines. A parameter-oriented model, technique of experimental and numerical optimization study of a multithreaded vortex expansion machine with an external peripheral channel has been developed. Planned (using the experimental design theory) and carried out computational experiments, the results of which performed multiobjective optimization, have made it possible to find geometrics of flowing sections and their ratios, providing the maximum adiabatic (isentropic) efficiency of multithreaded vortex expansion machines with an external peripheral channel. The optimum values of the efficiency of the vortex double-stream machine with an external peripheral channel have been successfully increased by more than 15% (from 30% to more than 45%). The test facility for the study of vortex expansion machines of low power (up to 15 kW), an experimental model of the double-stream vortex expansion machine and the data measuring system of the test facility has been created. As a result of the experimental studies, the characteristics of the optimized flowing section were obtained. The results of experimental studies of the vortex expansion machine have verified the results of the computational experiment. As a result, the influence of geometrical and gas-dynamic parameters on the flow pattern in the flow path of vortex expansion machine with a peripheral channel was established. The most influential factors on machine efficiency are identified and the ranges of their variations are determined. The feasibility of using units based on vortex expansion machines with capacity up to 500 kW have been substantiated. Areas of their rational use with the basic criteria complexes, generally recognized in the theory and practice of turbomachines have been determined.

The universal nonlinear simulation model as well as dimensional and dimensionless forms of dynamic form the main criteria of similarity. When creating a linear model used new approaches which consist in replacing nonlinear dependencies January rational selection and construction is extremely compact Pneumatic shock simulation model based on equilibrium equation as a mechanical analogue kind-viscosity elastic models of Maxwell. The study defined the parameters of these models Pneumatic and conditions of operation that ensure the most effective implementation of the efficiency of compressed air in shock operations. The proposed engineering method of calculating kinematic, dynamic and energy characteristics Pneumatic shock based on solving problems as dynamic analysis and synthesis of dynamic problems.

Full textВ диссертационной работе выполнено уточнение рабочего процесса и методики расчета лабиринтных уплотнений, что дает возможность повысить их эффективность работы, надежность, экономичность и срок службы. Получены визуализации течения в проточной части лабиринтного уплотнения c использованием программного комплекса Flow Vision в виде векторов, заливок, изолиний и вспышек. Показана корректность применения данного программного комплекса для исследования расходных характеристик лабиринтных уплотнений. Предложен поэлементный подход к описанию рабочего процесса в уплотнении, заключающийся в его рассмотрении как суммы отверстий с индивидуальными характеристиками, который позволил установить наличие аномальных явлений в проточной части многощелевого лабиринтного уплотнения в виде флуктуаций параметров потока – одновременно существующих зон с различными режимами вихревого течения, что нашло отражение в значениях локальных коэффициентов расхода. Получены графические и аналитические зависимости влияния режимных и геометрических параметров на характеристики лабиринтного уплотнения с гладким валом. Уточнены существующие методики расчета характеристик уплотнений с учетом факторов, ранее не учитываемых, а именно: кольцевая форма зазора, влияние вращения вала, эксцентриситета, масштабного фактора, критериев подобия и др. Рассчитаны коэффициенты отдельных видов потерь методом идентификации математической модели уплотнения. Проведен сравнительный анализ относительно влияния физических свойств различных газов при модельных и натурных условиях численным методом и с использованием экспериментальных данных, полученных на водяном паре и воздухе при сопоставимых условиях. Получен ряд новых и уточнены известные данные по выбору геометрии проточной части лабиринтных уплотнений, предложено увеличение геометрического обьема расширительных камер уплотнения по ходу течения газа. Показано, что при заданной длине уплотнения лучше выполнить большее количество гребней при меньших значениях шага t.
The thesis offers improved view on workflow and methods of the design of labyrinth seals that increase their performance, reliability, profitability and service life. The visualizations of workflow were obtained. The element approach to description of workflow in labyrinth seal was developed. It considers the seal as composition of holes with individual characteristics. This approach allowed determination of existence of abnormal phenomena in flow section of multislot labyrinth seal in the form of fluctuations of parameters of a stream. These are zones with various regimes of a vortex-type flow. Graphical relationships and equations for description of influence of various factors on characteristics of the seal are determined. The equations take into account some factors which were negligible earlier. The correction coefficients for separate types of losses are calculated by method of identification of seal mathematical model. The comparative analysis on influence of properties of gases was performed. A set new and improved data about choice of geometry of labyrinth seals are represented in the thesis. The increase in geometrical volume of broad cameras of the seal in the direction of gas flow is offered.
