Abstract:
The paper uses keyword analysis as the empirical basis for the characterization of Shakespeare’s character Iago from Othello, the Moor of Venice. The aim of the paper is to determine how Iago’s manner of speech reflects his deceitful and manipulative nature and how it differs from the speech-styles of non-deceitful prominent characters: Othello, Cassio, Roderigo, Desdemona and Emilia. Keywords for the chosen characters are based on the corpora of character speech and the Sketch Engine tool is used to process the data. The results are then interpreted and discussed on the basis of six interconnected points of discussion: focus, adjectives, use of the expression Moor, references to the handkerchief, poisoning-the-ears technique, and pronouns, all of which confirm that Iago’s manipulative nature is indeed evident in his speech and that there is a clear difference between his speech-style and the speech-styles of other, non-deceitful, prominent characters.

Pagrindinis verslo organizacijų, tikslas yra gauti maksimalų galimą pelną iš savo veiklos. Tačiau esant didelei siūlomų produktų ir paslaugų įvairovei, nebepakanka vien tik kokybiškų produktų ar paslaugų teikimo – būtinas ir patrauklus jų pateikimas rinkoje. Vienas iš galimų pasirinkimų yra agresyvaus marketingo taikymas. Darbe nagrinėjamas AM apibrėžimas, AM elementai, požymiai, strateginės nuostatos. Remiantis teorine literatūra yra sukurta teorinis AM elementų ir jų dedamųjų modelis, kuris buvo tobulinamas remiantis gautais tyrimų rezultatais. Darbe buvo atlikta Agresyvaus marketingo praktinio taikymo apžvalga pasaulyje ir Lietuvoje bei Lietuvos įmonių, taikančių agresyvų marketingą, apžvalga. Buvo atlikti du tyrimai: žvalgybinis tyrimas interviu su ekspertais ir anketinė vartotojų apklausa. Darbo tikslas: atskleisti agresyvaus marketingo raišką Lietuvos įmonėse. Darbo objektas - agresyvus marketingas Lietuvos įmonių veikloje. The main purpose of business organizations is to get profit from their work. In nowadays a lot of products and services are being offered for customers, so it is not enough for the company to offer just a god product or service. It is necessarily to represent them attractively. One of the ways to do so is to choose to practice aggressive marketing conception. In the work are being analyzed conceptions, elements, features of aggressive marketing and its strategic attitudes. On the ground of theoretic literature was created a theoretic model of aggressive marketing elements and their components, which was developed according to the results of the made researches. In work was also made a review of aggressive marketing practical implementation in Lithuania and abroad. Two researches were made: reconnaissance survey - interview with experts and a questionnaire for consumers. Purpose of the Masters work is to reveal aggressive marketing’s performance in Lithuania’s companies. Object of the work is: aggressive marketing in Lithuania’s companies. Abstract:
With the rapid increase in demand for more high-value customized products and a more sustainable approach to manufacturing, companies are focusing on being more flexible while also trying to minimize environmental impact. As it is not possible to meet these current demands using traditional manufacturing techniques, manufacturing industries are searching for better manufacturing alternatives to address these issues in order to stay competitive. In this thesis, the two issues of manufacturing complex, low volume parts and environmental sustainability were investigated with the use of the additive manufacturing (AM) technology and possible improvements/recommendations were suggested. The conclusions drawn suggested that AM could be used to produce complex parts more efficiently and also proved to be a more sustainable alternative with decreased energy and resource consumption when compared to traditional methods.

Abstract:
A limiting factor in the widespread deployment of LMDS systems is the limited distance of current systems. Rain attenuation and limited transmitter power are the primary causes of the limited distance. Adaptive digital predistortion is presented as a method of increasing effective transmitter power.

A background on LMDS link design, non-linear amplification, and predistortion is presented to assist the reader. A developed simulation uses AM-AM and AM-PM characteristics obtained from laboratory measurements of a 28 GHz amplifier to determine the effect of several predistortion implementation options and to confirm the feasibility of the proposed architecture.

The potential impact of this predistortion architecture on LMDS system design is considered. The presented multi-stage predistortion architecture is found to be capable of implementation at Msymbol/second rates utilizing a FPGA or custom IC and a moderate speed digital signal processor.

A presente dissertação tem por objetivo fazer reflexões sobre o processo de urbanização que a cidade de Manaus-AM vem passando ao longo dos anos, analisando as consideráveis mudanças que vem ocorrendo em sua parte central, refletindo a cerca das políticas públicas de turismo, compreendendo de que forma a atividade turística tem se apropriado do lugar e incutindo nele sua lógica de (re) organização, o que é bastante notório nesses últimos anos, sobretudo nos pontos históricos da cidade de Manaus. Assim, será analisado sobretudo as ações que o Estado brasileiro através das suas três esferas de poder, tem desenvolvido no espaço urbano manauara, através das políticas publicas. O edifício metodológico trabalhado foram as concepções de Milton Santos sobre a compreensão do espaço geográfico, entendido como sistema de objetos e ações, como também a concepção de formação sócio-espacial; Lobato Correia, que estuda o espaço urbano, Rita de Cássia que faz uma análise das políticas publicas de turismo em nosso país como uma forma de planejamento e intervenção urbana, dentre outros.
The dissertations objective is to make reflections on the process of urbanization that the Amazon city Manaus has been facing in recent years. The analyze highlights some of the considerable changes that have occurred in the downtown area in regards to public policies on tourism seeking to define in what way tourist activities have appropriated space and embedding within it their own logic of reorganization. I argue that this tendency to appropriate has become notorious over the last few years in Manaus is historical points of interest. The analysis concentrates on the role that the Brazilian State has in developing appropriating acts in regards to the Manauss urban space via three spheres of power that influence public policies. The theoretical approach of this analysis borrows from various concepts: Milton Santos comprehension of geographical space, understood as a system of objects and actions, as well as socio-spatial conception; the ideas of Lobato Correia on urban space; and on the Rita de Cássia is analysis on tourist public policies in Brazil as an example of, and amongst others, urban planning and intervention.

Este trabalho teve como objetivo central analisar a dinâmica erosiva em duas cicatrizes de movimentos de massa, localizada na Fazenda Caipuru (Km 143 da BR - 174), no município de Presidente Figueiredo, nordeste do Estado do Amazonas (AM). Para isto, realizou-se a caracterização das feições erosivas (cicatrizes, voçorocas, canelura e alcova) a partir da mensuração dos parâmetros dimensionais (comprimento, largura e profundidade), do monitoramento evolutivo e da identificação das taxas erosivas (área erodida e volume de material perdido). No que se refere aos condicionantes pedológicos e pluviométricos, identificou-se as características físicas (textura, cor, estrutura, densidade real e aparente e volume total de poros) e geomecânicas do solo (resistência ao cisalhamento, tensão normal, ângulo de atrito interno e coesão), os totais pluviométricos diários e a erosividade da chuva. Os procedimentos metodológicos foram desenvolvidos em três etapas: 1) revisão bibliográfica; 2) trabalhos de campo; e, 3) análise dos dados e elaboração da Dissertação de Mestrado. A caracterização das vertentes foi composta pela identificação dos seguintes aspectos: forma, declividade, cobertura vegetal, afloramento de rochas e de feições erosivas. As técnicas utilizadas foram a observações diretas, anotações em caderneta, utilização de bússola e trena, e elaboração de croqui e de perfil esquemático das vertentes a partir de fotografias através do software Corel Draw 12.0. Já a caracterização das incisões (cicatrizes, voçorocas, canelura e alcova) contemplou os seguintes aspectos: forma (BIGARELLA e MAZUCHOWSKI, 1985), tipo (OLIVEIRA, 1995) no caso das voçorocas, e através da técnica poligonais-planimétricas (OLIVEIRA et al.,1996) identificou-se a dimensão, a área erodida (m²) e o volume de material perdido (m³). As características do solo como textura (EMBRAPA, 1997), cor (MUNSEL, 1973), estrutura (LEPSCH, 1993), densidade real (EMBRAPA, 1997), densidade aparente e volume total de poros (KIEHL, 1979), e as características geomecânicas (CAPUTO, 1995) foram obtidas através de coletas de amostras em campo e tratadas em laboratório. Os resultados mostraram que houve retrabalhamento erosivo em todas as incisões estudadas e que a atividade erosiva esteve, direta ou indiretamente, associada às cicatrizes de escorregamentos, pois a alcova e a canelura analisadas se desenvolveram na parede do escorregamento em cunha (C1), enquanto que as voçorocas entalharam sobre a massa movimentada do escorregamento rotacional (C2). O crescimento das cicatrizes de escorregamento foi condicionado pela interação entre as características do solo (físicas e geomecânicas) e as da chuva (erosividade da chuva), associadas à atuação de mecanismos erosivos como os escoamentos superficiais (concentrado e difuso), as quedas d'água (cascatas ou fluxos de adesão) e os movimentos de massa. Por fim, comparando os escorregamentos, identificaram-se diferenças significativas nos seguintes aspectos: a) forma e dimensões; e, b) taxas erosivas e feições de retrabalhamento (alcova, canelura e voçorocas). Por fim, em relação aos fatores condicionantes para atividade erosiva, em ambas as cicatrizes e suas feições de retrabalhamento (alcova e canelura - C1; e, voçorocas - C2) verificou-se a influência das características do solo e da pluviometria.

Abstract:
The recent trend in modern information technology has been towards the increased use of portable and handheld devices such as cellular telephones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and wireless networks. This trend presents the need for compact and power efficient radio systems. Typically, the most power inefficient device in a radio system is the power amplifier (PA). PA inefficiency requires increased battery reserves to supply the necessary DC bias current, resulting in larger devices. Alternatively, the length of time between battery charges is reduced for a given battery size, reducing mobility.

In addition, communications channels are becoming increasingly crowded, which presents the need for improved bandwidth efficiency. In order to make more efficient use of the frequency spectrum allocated for a particular system, there is a push towards complex higher order digital modulation schemes in modern radio systems, resulting in stricter linearity requirements on the system. Since power efficient amplifiers are typically nonlinear, this poses a major problem in realizing a bandwidth and power efficient radio system. However, by employing various linearization techniques, the linearity of a high efficiency PA may be improved.

The work presented in this thesis focuses on diode predistortion linearization, particularly for PA RFICs in digital radios. Background discussion on common linearization techniques available to the PA designer is presented. In addition, a discussion of traditional and modern methods of nonlinearity characterization is presented, illustrating the nonlinear PA effects on a modulated signal. This includes the use of two-tone analysis and the more modern envelope analysis. The operation of diode predistortion linearizers is discussed in detail, along with diode optimization procedures for PA linearization with minimum impact on return loss and gain. This diode optimization is effective in improving the ability to integrate the predistorter into a single, linearized PA RFIC chip. MESFET and HBT based diode linearizers are studied for use with corresponding MESFET and HBT based PAs in the 2.68 GHz and 1.95 GHz frequency bands, respectively. Results show an improvement in adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) due to the linearizer in both MESFET and HBT cases. A fully integrated 1.95 GHz linearizer and PA RFIC in HBT technology is also presented. Design considerations, simulations, and layouts for this design are presented. Finally, several recommendations are made for continued research in this area.

Abstract:
A jazida de Pitinga (Sn, Nb, Ta e criolita) é um depósito de classe mundial, onde o minério ocorre associado à fácies albita granito do granito Madeira (~1,83 Ga). Este trabalho é centralizado em minerais de ETR e Y, visando contribuir para o entendimento da evolução do sistema albita granito e avaliar preliminarmente o potencial desta rocha para exploração destes elementos como coprodutos. A fácies albita granito de núcleo possui concentrações de ETR de 180,76 a 12.168,04 ppm (média de 1.725 ppm) e de Y de 35,6 ppm a 7.846,1 ppm (média de 825 ppm). No albita granito de borda, as concentrações destes elementos são da ordem de 30% menores do que no de núcleo. A xenotima é o principal mineral de minério de ETR e Y. Ocorre disseminada (<0,5% no albita granito de núcleo e <1% no albita granito transicional) e na forma de aglomerados de cristais centimétricos em pegmatitos na parte central do albita granito de núcleo. É caracterizada pelo alto conteúdo de ETRP (17% a 24% no conjunto), especialmente na xenotima disseminada no albita granito de núcleo (22% a 24%). O Y na xenotima varia de 19 a 28%, os conteúdos de U, Th e Ca são baixos e uma forte correlação positiva entre Si e Th indica a ocorrência de substituição do tipo torita: Y3+ + P5+ = Th4+ + Si4+. O F ocorre em concentrações de 0,11% até 5,10% na xenotima do albita granito de núcleo, de 0,64% a 1,40% na xenotima do albita granito pegmatítico e de 0 a 0,68 na xenotima da fácies transicional. Sua incorporação na estrutura da xenotima ocorreu segundo as substituições: [PO4]5- + (Th)4+ = [ . (F)4]4- + (Y, ETR)3+ e [PO4]5- + (Ca)2+ = [ . (F)4]4- + (Na)1+. O encurtamento do parâmetro c, com o menor valor já encontrado em xenotima natural, é relacionado ao alto conteúdo de ETR e especialmente à abundância de Yb e Er. Relações invertidas com o padrão sintético YPO4 e modificações dos parâmetros a e c em diferentes proporções são relacionadas à substituição de O por F. Os dados obtidos por MSE determinaram uma idade de 1838 +/- 145Ma. A gagarinita ocorre associada ao albita granito de núcleo na base da Zona Criolítica B, onde poderá constituir um mineral de minério de ETR e Y adicionalmente à xenotima. Sua composição é Na0,24Ca0,58Y1,01(ETR)0,39F5,81. Possui abundantes inclusões (<1 mm) de fluocerita (Ce0,53-0,66 La0,09-0,26 Nd0,08-0,26 Sm0,01-0,04 Eu0,01 Y0-0,03 F3,3-4,14). Esta tem seus parâmetros cristalográficos (a= 5,97 a 5,99 e c= 3,50 a 3,53) modificados em relação aos padrões sintéticos pela presença significativa de La e Nd em solução sólida. A origem destas inclusões foi investigada detalhadamente por diversas técnicas (MET, MEV, IF) concluindo-se como mais provável sua formação através da exsolução dos ETR de raio maior do que o do Sm, a partir de uma gagarinita inicial (Na0.23Ca0.53REE0.99Y0.48F7.69) metaestável. A waimirita é um mineral novo que ocorre em veios tardios, de espessura centimétrica, associada com um polítipo da caulinita. Foi caracterizada como um fluoreto de Y [(ETR,Y)F3] no qual os ETR predominantes são os pesados (especialmente o Dy) e Ca e Na ocorrem em pequenas quantidades. A evolução geoquímica dos ETR em rocha total contraria os modelos convencionais de enriquecimento de ETRL nas fácies tardias. O efeito tetrad (mais freqüente na terceira tetra) ocorre no albita granito de núcleo, albita granito de borda, granito hipersolvus e no depósito criolítico maciço e é relacionado ao maior enriquecimento relativo de ETRP nas fácies tardias. No albita granito de núcleo, o efeito tetrad total (TEt) é de 2,48 e o na terceira tetra (TE3) é de 1,87. As partes desta rocha menos enriquecidas em ETR apresentam efeito na primeira tetra (TE1) de 1,34. As amostras extremamente ricas em ETR raramente apresentam efeito tetrad, significando que este fenômeno não está relacionado apenas com a abundância destes elementos. O TEt é maior nas porções do granito com mais flúor, porém não ocorre correlação estatística significativa deste efeito com o flúor, com as anomalias de Eu e Ce e com a razão ETRL/ETRP.
The Pitinga mine (Sn, Nb, Ta and cryolite) is a world-class deposit associated with albite-enriched facies of the Madeira granite (1.83 Ga). This study deals on RRE and Y minerals in order to contribute to the understanding of the albite-enriched system evolution and evaluate preliminarily the potential for exploitation of these elements as coproduct. The REE grades in the core albite-enriched granite ranges from 180 to 12168 ppm (average 1725 ppm) and the Y grades ranges from 35ppm to 7846 ppm (average 825 ppm). In the border albite-enriched granite, the grades are 30% lower than in the core facies. Xenotime is the principal REE and Y ore mineral. It occurs disseminated (<0.5% in the core albite-enriched granite and <1% in the transitional albite granite) and like agglomerates of centimeter crystals in the pegmatitic albite-enriched granite on central part of the core albite-enriched granite. This mineral has high contents of HREE (17% to 24% in all), especially in the core albiteenriched granite xenotime (22% to 24%). Y in xenotime ranges form 19% to 8%; U, Th and Ca contents are low and a strong positive correlation between Si and Th is related to the thorite type substitution: Y3+ + P5+ = Th4+ + Si4+. The F concentrations ranges from 0,11% to 5,10% in the core albite-enriched granite xenotime, from 0,64% to 1,40% in the pegmatitic albite-enriched granite xenotime and from 0 to 0,68% in the transitional albite-enriched granite xenotime. Its incorporation in the xenotime structure occurred through the substitutions: [PO4]5- + (Th)4+ = [ . (F)4]4- + (Y, ETR)3+ and [PO4]5- + (Ca)2+ = [ . (F)4]4- + (Na)1+. The shortening of the c parameter, the lowest value ever found in natural xenotime, is related to the high REE content and especially to the Yb and Er abundance. Reversed relations with the YPO4 synthetic pattern and modifications on the a and c parameters in different proportions are related to the replacement of O by F. The chemical data determined an age of 1,838 +/- 145Ma. Gagarinite occurs associated to the core albite-enriched granite, in the lower part of the cryolitic zone B, where it could be a mineral ore REE and Y in addition to xenotime. Its composition is Na0,24Ca0,58Y1,01(ETR)0,39F5,81. It has abundant inclusions (<1 mm) of fluocerite (Ce0,53-0,66 La0,09-0,26 Nd0,08-0,26 Sm0,01-0,04 Eu0,01 Y0-0,03 F3,3-4,14) with crystallographic parameters (a= 5.97 to 5.99 and c= 3.50 to 3.53) modified compared to synthetic standards by the significant amounts of La and Nd in solid solution. The origin of these inclusions was investigated in detail by various techniques (TEM, SEM, FI). It is most likely formed by exsolution of REE with radius greater than that of Sm, from an initial metastable gagarinite (Na0.23Ca0.53REE0.99Y0.48F7.69). Waimirite is a new mineral that occurs associated with a kaolinite polytype in later veins. It is characterized as a Y fluoride [(REE, Y)F3] in which the predominant REE are the HREE (especially Dy); Ca and Na occur in small quantities. The tetrad effect (more frequent in the third tetra) occurs in the core albiteenriched granite, border albite-enriched granite, hypersolvus granite and in the massive cryolite deposit, and is associated with HREE enrichment in the late facies. In the core albiteenriched granite the total tetrad effect (TET) is 2.48 and the third tetra (NT3) is 1.87. Portions of this rock less enriched in REE have effect in the first tetra (ES1) of 1.34. Samples extremely rich in REE rarely present tetrad effect, meaning that this phenomenon is not only related with the abundance of these elements. There is no statistically significant correlation between tetrad effect and Eu and Ce anomalies, LREE / HREE and F.

Esta pesquisa traz uma análise das transformações socioambientais em andamento no município de Manacapuru # AM, em função da construção do gasoduto Coari-Manaus, o qual levará gás natural para a capital do Estado, visando suprir a demanda por fontes energéticas em Manaus e nos municípios na área de influência da obra, através da construção de ramais para cada cidade. Manacapuru, a oitenta quilômetros da Capital, está situado no trecho final do empreendimento. Neste município encontram-se cinqüenta comunidades afetadas pelo projeto # cinco delas são formadas por povos indígenas. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa fez-se revisão sobre o que são impactos socioambientais, conceito este ainda em construção; em seguida, aproveitando-se dos dados do levantamento socioeconômico e das informações disponíveis em fontes secundárias, como o EPIA-RIMA da obra, foi-se ao campo a fim de apreender as mudanças nas comunidades e as expectativas da população local em face da construção do gasoduto. São ilustradas as condições encontradas em cada ambiente, bem como as ações mitigadoras acordadas para o licenciamento ambiental. A pesquisa compreende que o gasoduto é importante e oportuno para o desenvolvimento da região, em especial para os municípios por onde se situa o empreendimento, entretanto, aponta algumas medidas necessárias a fim de que o mesmo se torne efetivamente vetor das melhorias das condições de vida local.
