The Ziyarte al-Arba’een is an event where millions of individuals journey on foot to the city of Karbala, in Iraq. Managing the safety and well-being of such a gathering presents challenge. In our research we have created a model that studies crowd behavior and evaluates methods to ensure their security. Our model incorporates elements such as dynamics, stochastic processes, and network theory to understand how interactions among visitors the environment and control strategies impact crowd dynamics. By simulating scenarios, we can effectively identify the factors and areas that influence crowd movement. This allows us to develop strategies, for crowd management that prioritize safety and aim to reduce accidents or injuries. Such studies contribute to the advancement of crowd science field.

This paper investigates how Chinese taxi drivers utilize low-tech equipment, such as handheld radios and mobile phone services, to form local ride-hailing networks. Previous studies have analyzed how Internet platforms like Didi Chuxing have reshaped labor relations through technology and policies, but they have ignored the fact that outside metropolitan areas, traditional technological solutions, such as on-call radio platforms, have not been replaced by the rapidly expanding ride-hailing platforms. Therefore, to outline China’s diverse ICT practice environment, this paper focuses on a case study in two Chinese towns (Laizhou, Shandong; Ziyang, Sichuan), shifting the attention from metropolitan areas to neglected fourth- and fifth-tier cities. After reviewing the previous advancements in mobile communication technology, we discuss the economic, cultural, and social motivations behind the use of ‘low-tech’ devices and cooperative services by the Chinese taxi drivers in question.

Industrial land is essential for supply-side structural reforms, particularly in the Chengdu–Chongqing area, Western China’s most densely populated and industrially robust region. This area, a pivotal hub linking Southwest China with South Asia and Southeast Asia, is critical for the national strategic layout and regional economic restructuring. Despite its substantial industrial foundation as an old industrial base, internal developmental stagnation has led to an irrational industrial land use structure. This paper analyzed land transaction data from the China Land Market Network (2010–2021) using methods such as kernel density estimation, the standard deviation ellipse method, and Global Moran’s I index. The analysis focuses on the spatiotemporal evolution of industrial land marketization and its driving factors in 44 cities within the Chengdu–Chongqing economic circle. The findings aim to enhance the strategic implementation of national policies and regional economic optimization, suggesting intensified development efforts in key cities and promoting integrated growth in potential areas like Suining and Ziyang to foster a conducive environment for high-quality regional development.

Mining of mineral resources exposes various minerals to oxidizing environments, especially sulfide minerals, which are decomposed by water after oxidation and make the water in the mine area acidic. Acid mine drainage (AMD) from mining can pollute surrounding rivers and lakes, causing serious ecological problems. Compared with traditional field surveys, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology has advantages in terms of real-time imagery, security, and image accuracy. UAV technology can compensate for the shortcomings of traditional technology in mine environmental surveys and effectively improve the implementat ion efficiency of the work. UAV technology has gradually become one of the important ways of mine environmental monitoring. In this study, a UAV aerial photography system equipped with a Red, Green, Blue (RGB) camera collected very-high-resolution images of the stone coal mining area in Ziyang County, northwest China, and classified the very-high-resolution images by support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF), and U-Net methods, and detected the distribution of five types of land cover, including AMD, roof, water, vegetation, and bare land. Finally, the accuracy of the recognition results was evaluated based on the land-cover map using the confusion matrix. The recognition accuracy of AMD using the U-Net method is significantly better than that of SVM and RF traditional machine-learning methods. The results showed that a UAV aerial photography system equipped with an RGB camera and the depth neural network algorithm could be combined for the competent detection of mine environmental problems.

Abstract Background: Estrogen receptor (ER) positive breast cancer is the most common subtype of breast cancer. Elucidation of the regulatory network in estrogen receptor pathway is critical to develop and deliver potent targeted therapy for ER-positive breast cancer. The Mir-99a-let-7c cluster host gene MIR99AHG is a long non-coding RNA involving in a variety of tumor formation and disease progression processes. However, the biological functions of MIR99AHG in ER-positive breast cancer have not been reported. Methods: The Western-blot, qRT-PCR, Immunofluorescence and fluorescence in-situ hybridization were used to identify potential target genes and regulatory pathway of estrogen receptor α (ERa), which is a key proliferative driver of ER-positive breast cancer cells. The cell proliferation assay, clone formation assay, xenograft tumor model and rescue assay were used to investigate the effect of differential expression of MIR99AHG on the proliferative capacity of ER-positive breast cancer cells MCF7 and T47D. In addition, correlation analysis was performed to verify the relation of the expression of MIR99AHG, LATS1, LATS2, CYR61, CTGF and ESR1 from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) cohorts. And survival analysis was used to predict the prognostic impact of MIR99AHG in breast cancer patients. Results: MIR99AHG expression was significantly higher in ER-positive breast cancer cells MCF7 and T47D than in ER-negative breast cancer cells SKBR3, MDA-MB-231 and BT549. The high expression of MIR99AHG predicted poor prognosis in ER-positive breast cancer patients. In vitro and in vivo assays demonstrated that MIR99AHG positively regulated the proliferation of MCF7 and T47D cells. Importantly, the Hippo signaling was identified to be down-stream mediators of MIR99AHG in modulating ERα transcription. Furthermore, XMU-MP-1, which targets the Hippo signaling upstream kinase MST1/2, was able to reverse the effect of MIR99AHG on MCF7 cell proliferation. Conclusions: MIR99AHG up-regulates ERα expression and promotes proliferation in ER-positive breast cancer cells through activating Hippo signaling pathway. Targeting MIR99AHG/Hippo pathway is a potential strategy for the treatment of ER-positive breast cancer. Abstract Background Copper (Cu) toxicity has become a potential threat for citrus production, but little is known about related mechanisms. This study aims to uncover the global landscape of mRNAs, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), circular RNAs (circRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) in response to Cu toxicity so as to construct a regulatory network of competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) and to provide valuable knowledge pertinent to Cu response in citrus. Results Tolerance of four commonly used rootstocks to Cu toxicity was evaluated, and ‘Ziyang Xiangcheng’ (Citrus junos) was found to be the most tolerant genotype. Then the roots and leaves sampled from ‘Ziyang Xiangcheng’ with or without Cu treatment were used for whole-transcriptome sequencing. In total, 5734 and 222 mRNAs, 164 and 5 lncRNAs, 45 and 17 circRNAs, and 147 and 130 miRNAs were identified to be differentially expressed (DE) in Cu-treated roots and leaves, respectively, in comparison with the control. Gene ontology enrichment analysis showed that most of the DEmRNAs and targets of DElncRNAs and DEmiRNAs were annotated to the categories of ‘oxidation-reduction’, ‘phosphorylation’, ‘membrane’, and ‘ion binding’. The ceRNA network was then constructed with the predicted pairs of DEmRNAs-DEmiRNAs and DElncRNAs-DEmiRNAs, which further revealed regulatory roles of these DERNAs in Cu toxicity. Conclusions A large number of mRNAs, lncRNAs, circRNAs, and miRNAs in ‘Ziyang Xiangcheng’ were altered in response to Cu toxicity, which may play crucial roles in mitigation of Cu toxicity through the ceRNA regulatory network in this Cu-tolerant rootstock.

Çalışmamıza, XVII. yüzyılda Safevileri ziyaret eden, Adam Olearius, Jean Baptiste Tavernier, Jean Chardin, Sanson, Ambrosio Bembo, Engelbert Kaempfer ve Gemelli Careri’nin seyahatnameleri kaynaklık edecektir.

Although Pakistan was created for Hindustani Muslims, in its first stage of formation it was not a country for Muslims, but developed as a secular country with civil rights for all. Islamization began from the moment of the adoption of the 1956 Constitution and the adaptation of the northwestern territories in the 70s, but aggres- sive Islamization was imposed on Pakistan during the reign of Ziya Ul Hak and the actual US monitoring of religion-politician. Currently, Pakistan is striving to move away from this model, but this is not always possible due to the functioning of aggres- sive Islamic parties and movements in the country, which, like supporters of western- ization, receive support under the neocolonial policy of the collective West. The Paki- stani society itself is currently characterized by processes of religion transformation in three directions: westernization, arabization by moderate type (average path of edu- cated moderation) and Islamization. The greatest active work in social networks is carried out by supporters of the latter in the development of Western intelligence ser- vices, which were previously used to create Al Caida, Taliban, ISIS prohibited in Rus- sia. Given the heterogeneity of the Islamic Pakistani society, the transformation and development of religion goes in them in different directions and at different speeds, while in view of a number of factors, high social groups of Shiites are subject to the greatest transformation. The remaining religions of the country are also in search of their path within the framework of Pakistani society, transforming their religion in different directions. So Christians from the educated higher social strata are most char- acterized by westernization, but with at the same time as the centralization and con- vergence around religious centers with the creation of strong communities. Pakistani Sikhs did not create a separate community and their religion is developing in the main- stream of Indian Sikhism. Hindu communities of the urban type develop in themselves (having little contacts with India Hinduism) or adjoin international organizations such as ISKCON with a general direction of creating clear Hindu canons, returning to fun- damental Hinduism, but with the involvement of Western trends. Rural, poorly edu- cated groups of Hindus and Christians often follow the path of syncretism, combining in their religious practices both the traditions of their religion and neighboring religious groups. Thus, the development and transformation of the main religions of Pakistan is currently quite active, although multidirectional.
