Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn this these we study loop braid groups, we explore some of their topological applications and some remarquable quotients. The thesis is composed by four parts:- Unifying the different approaches to loop braid groups. Several formulations are being used by researchers working with loop braid groups in different fields; we present these interpretations and prove their equivalence. - A topological version of Markov’s theorem for ribbon torus-links. Using the understanding of the interpretation of loop braids as knotted objects in the 4-dimensional space, we give a topological proof of a version of Markov theorem for loop braids with closure in a solid torus in the 4-dimensional space. - Alexander invariants for ribbon tangles. We define an Alexander invariant on ribbon tangles. From this invariant we extract a functorial generalization of the Alexander polynomial. This invariant has a deep topological meaning, but lacks a simple way of computation. To overcome this problem we establish a correspondence with Archibal’s multivariable Alexander polynomial for tangles. - Quotients of the virtual braid group. We study the groups of unrestricted virtual braids, a family of quotients of the loop braid groups, and describe their structure. As a consequence we show that any fused link admits as a representative the closure of a pure unrestricted virtual braid

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis explores low-dimensional topology, with a focus on knot theory. Knot theory is dedicated to the study of knots as commonly understood: a piece of string tied in space or, more generally, links formed by taking several pieces of string. Knots and links are studied up to deformation, for example, up to isotopy, which involves manipulations that do not require cutting or passing the string through itself. This thesis explores link-homotopy, a more flexible equivalence relation where distinct components remain disjoint, but a single component can self-intersect. The theory of claspers, powerful tools of surgery, is developed up to link-homotopy. Their use allows for a geometric proof of the classification of links with 4 components or less up to link-homotopy. Special attention is then given to braids, mathematical objects related to knots and links. It is shown that the homotopy braid group is linear, meaning it is faithfully represented by a subgroup of matrices. New group presentations are also proposed. Finally, it is established that the homotopy braid group is torsion-free for any number of components. This last result draws upon the broader context of welded knot theory

The objective of the present work is to launch a new brand. The creation of a new brand with a sustainable competitive advantage, associated to a company with a distinctive know-how and specialized equipments, will bring considerable value to the market. This creation represents the final step of a long process that evolves the company resources with strategic goal of making a difference. A brand should be distinguished from their competitors, put internal knowledge together to develop a product or service which will make the difference, which will be unique. After identifying and characterizing the study subject analysis issue, a literature review was made and after that three analysis - the mediate, immediate and internal. As a conclusion resulted an action plan with specific guide lines, strategic oriented, to apply in the near future.
