This diploma thesis focuses on selected advertising campaigns (published during the academic year 2015/2016) by the universities in the Czech Republic with the highest impact. The goal of this thesis is to present the new ways of communication in digital marketing and to evaluate aforementioned campaigns based on usual principles of promotion among public and educational facilities in the Czech Republic. In order to understand the background the situational analysis and monitoring of current trends within the online advertisement were used. The main contribution is a set of recommendations that could be useful for any educational facility.

The area is located in the north part of Brno (Řečkovice a Mokrá Hora) and is surrounded by a housing estate. To the south of this area is a complex of former barracks. In our project we propose to use the area as a residential district with public amenities. Sports ground and the park are included. Currently there are terraced houses and separated family houses. We especially use low-floor blocks of houses with no more than four floors. Orientation of the blocks corresponds with the fact that this area is on the north slope. Family houses with gardens are situated on the east side of the area. The area is accessible from the Žilkova street (on the east) and from the Terezy Novákové street (on the west) – buildings on this street make a noise barrier. The square of our area is next to this street and represents a public place with public amenities (for example a retirement house and a school of art), underground car park and a pedestrian precint leading to the park. A tram stop is nearby. Sports ground and the park are situated in the north part of the area. In the central part we find the kindergarten. Underground car parks for the residents are under the blocks and its courtyards.

The diploma thesis deals with the marketing communication in the public sector. The necessity of this communication in this sector is proved in the thesis by the example of the Basic school with extended language teaching Metelkovo náměstí in Teplice, based on image analysis based on field investigation and on analysis of the previous communication of this school. The thesis is devided into two main parts, theoretical and practical, the first one has one chapter, the other one is divided into 3 chapters. The theoretical part deals with marketing and marketing communication in general and in the second part these theoretical knowledge is applied on the case of the selected basic school. Frist, the image analysis of the school is performed, after that the individual communication activities from the past of the school are presented and in the end some pieces of advice are given to the school as well.

The thesis deals with the economic evaluation of the appropriateness or inappropriateness in securing the construction and operation of community infrastructure projects. It particularly assesses the economic advantages and disadvantages of the construction and subsequent operation of a kindergarten in the village of Kamenný Újezd, both in the form of classic public contracts, and as a PPP project. The work is based on the real costs as the above mentined project has already been realised. At the same time, this work marginally addresses the demographic curve and municipalities in this context, the fact that the community could predict the shortage of places in the kindergarten well in advance, and resolve the situation in another way. Performing an economic analysis found that in this particular case the form of PPP does not seem economically advantageous, since it does not provide a value for money to make this form more profitable for the municipality than a conventional public contract.

The main purpose of this thesis is the comparative analysis of the funding of public universities with the focus on the issues of the coefficients of economic difficulty. At the beginning of the thesis the education is provided in universities set into the Czech educational system. Furthermore the thesis is targeted on the history of the Czech higher education and its development since its founding and establishing to the present status. In the theoretical part the basic concepts of funding and financing public universities and the history of the coefficient of economic difficulty, which is compared from different perspectives in the analytical part, are explained. The aim of this thesis is the comparison of the values of the coefficients of economic difficulty in selected public universities, while taking into account the development of the share of personal and non-capital costs in the main function, the number of students and the number of academic staff. The target of this thesis is the comparison of the values of the coefficients of economic difficulty in selected public universities taking into account the development of the share of personal and non-capital costs in the core business, the number of students and academic staff. The result is a proposed amendment to the values of these coefficients and the level of the amount of funding provided to public universities in the Czech Republic.

The aim of my thesis is analyzing the management and financial resources of chosen primary schools. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I explain the basic key words related to public good and ways of its financing. I also give a brief description of semi budgetary organizations and their bookkeeping and outline qualitative research. In the practical part, there is a financial analysis of chosen primary schools. I offer comparison of how primary schools are influenced by their entering the We Help Schools To Success project financed by The Kellner Family Foundation focused on teachers education. Schools that are a part of the project are superior to those that are not in terms of both educational and material development. The final part of my thesis contains an evaluation of a qualitative interview I conducted with five primary school headmasters. This evaluation is a continuation of and confirms the outcome of this thesis.

The thesis is focused on the system of funding public universities in the Czech Republic. At first, the basic characteristics of university education are presented and the connection between university education, externalities, human capital and economic growth is outlined. Then we proceed to define the system of funding public universities and the development of individual indicators in this process. Briefly, following the university education, also the demographic development is mentioned. The last part of the thesis analyzes the impact of introducing the qualitative criteria into public universities and the expert interviews are used to determine how these changes affect the actual public universities.

The thesis presents a Business Intelligence solution in higher education area. The solution is comprised of the design and implementation of representative tasks, metrics, dimensions and analytical applications with the use of MBI methods. The sub-goal is to summarize knowledge gained by the BI project implemented in higher education area by IBM Corporation. A Hands-on knowledge was used to achieve the set targets. This knowledge confirms the fact that designed tasks, metrics and dimensions are indeed applicable in practice. The master thesis deals with the facelift of the forecourt of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station . This space consists of supporting functions for the main working such as administrative, metrology, stocks, cloakrooms and services. There is also the station for the buses, which carry employees to and from work, the regular bus station and parking lots. The forecourt of the power station is now inconvenient from a functional point of view, because the capacity of the existing buildings and parking lots is insufficient; and also from aesthetic point of view, because the buildings from 70’s don’t look good anymore, the parking consists of the large asphalt areas and there is no representative anteroom in front of the main entry, which should be there in view of the significance of the power station. In the study I deal with these problems by the complex reconstruction of the area, I replace the huge asphalt parking lots with the parking houses, create the administrative zone with the public place in front of the main entry to the plant, extend the capacities for the particular functions and add the new required functions (kindergaten, other services). The result of this conversion is the area with the particular functional zones with the representative forecourt in front of the main entry and with the enough space for each of the functions. This work follows up the last semester urbanist-architectonic study. The diploma thesis focus on the improvements of the weaker parts of the prime study and on the elaboration of the architectural study of the adminstrative zone with services.

The assignment for this thesis was to prepare an architectural plan for barracks in Černé Pole in Brno. As part of the assignment, I attempted to rejuvenate and open up the given territory to the town and to its people and to connect it to the surrounding structures. I expanded the territory in question with adjacent panel construction from the north, as one of the objectives was to gradually incorporate this development in a way so that it does not create a barrier. The second objective was to revive two historical barracks buildings and a panel building dormitory, which serve as a reference for the image of the place. The thesis is split into two parts - analysis and proposal. In the proposal I discuss specific materials, transportation and public spaces. Most of the territory is made up of residential spaces with civil and commercial spaces, which together make the entire area functional. In my proposal I try to show how the entire territory can be solved, with the involvement of the historic and panel buildings, and not just building on an empty brownfield.

The final thesis is focused on a design of architectural study of a Faculty of fine arts on the area, which is located on a border of two Brno districts Veveří and Žabovřesky. The chosen area is determined by Šumavská Street, Bulínova Street, and Veveří Street. The design follows an already processed part of the project from the first semester in the subject TG02. It is focused on the layout of the buildings in the area and the design of architectonical study for three out of four units – the Faculty of Forensic Engineering, common premises of both faculties and underground garages. The fourth unit, which is the Faculty of Fine Arts, is designed in the second phase as the final thesis. Other units are developed together with the design of the second faculty. The architectonical concept follows the city structure in the nearest surroundings. The main idea was to create a cluster of buildings which respects a human scale, not to create a long endless facades and gigantic masses of buildings. The solution is two L-shaped buildings, which grip the building of common premises. It creates a lot of semipublic and public spaces with a great variety of various functions.

The theme of the diploma thesis is the solution of the pre-plant zone of the Dukovany nuclear power station. Creating a vision of how this space could develop further in the next 50 years and how it could work in a transitional phase during the construction of a new nuclear power plant unit. The subject of the thesis is the elaboration of an architectural study, which is based on an urban study. Urban study was processed within the framework of the pre-diploma thesis and solved mainly the overall problems of this area, the new transport connection, and the functional division of the whole area. The area was divided into three functional units, namely the transport zone, the administrative zone and the sports and education zone. At present, there are a lot of small structurally and functionally unsuitable buildings in this area. The diploma thesis deals with the design of new buildings with a clear functional use in the administrative zone, in the area in front of the main gatehouse. A new representative square was created, and three buildings are designed around it. The dominant feature of the whole area was a high-rise office building near the gatehouse. In front of the office building, towards the main road, the service building I was designed, which contains business and healthcare services. On the other side of the square was located the service building II, where there are technical services, such as workshops, warehouses and metrology. The last building solved within the diploma thesis is the building of sports and locker rooms of suppliers, which is designed behind the square near the greenery. New building copies mass of the only preserved building in this area, namely the building of the information centre. The designed building has a fitness centre and locker rooms of external workers of the power plant.

The thesis is focused on providing pre-kindergarten education as a public service. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the parent school as educational institutions, legislative pre-school education and the role of the state as a public service provider of preschool education, the means of financing and providing services based on the founder's position of pre-school, the family as a partner in the educational impact. The practical part is based on research in two kindergartens. The portion of research findings confirmed that the parents understand the provision of preschool education in kindergartens as a public service, and consider state funding of preschool education for granted. The survey showed that what is provided the extra by kindergarten, parents understand the guaranteed services, without realizing that these services at kindergarten are beyond the educational work in kindergartens. Nursery school wants to draw attention to themselves, to get more students in the competition. According to the Framework Educational Programme for the provision of preschool education school activities is not a public service.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to compare public and private high school system with respect to selected data. Firstly, conceptions of quality in education, the inspection of the quality based on the Czech School Inspectorate (ČŠI), international tests or the quality school criteria given by the ČŠI will be characterized in the theoretical part. The high school system in Czechia with respect to the establisher, the historical development, the offer of disciplines, the relationship with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT) and financing will be described. It will be characterized the private school system at an international level to compare studies comparing public and private schools. The chapter about equal educational opportunities in conditions of Czech schools will be added too. Educational conditions and results in the selected period (2017-2019) will be analyzed in the analytical part. For the purposes of the analysis, the quality school criteria will be used. The data of the Center for Finding Results in Education (CZVV) will be analyzed too with respect to results of the school-leaving exam and shares of failed students from all high schools and then separately from grammar schools and vocational schools. The objective of the thesis is an analysis, description and subsequent comparison of different aspects in relationships between the founders and the headmasters of primary schools, and subsequently a presentation of possible differences and similarities in these relationships in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, in both legal and non-legal framework; and a description of the real situation of these relationships more than 20 years after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The starting point for the research are relevant legal regulations, such as acts of parliament, delegated legislation and specific legal and other documents concerning founders of private and denominational schools. The Czech and Slovak educational systems had the same development since the foundation of Czechoslovakia in 1918. After the dissolution of Czechoslovak federation the development and changes in Czech and Slovak educational systems had a different, separate development. The relationship between the school founder and its headmaster has significant influence on the school activities and direction. The thesis describes similarities and differences in these relationships in both countries and points out possibilities for mutual inspirations.

v AJ The thesis addresses funding of public universities in the Czech Republic. It describes, analyzes and assesses the current method of university funding from public and other resources and points out the most important issues in this area. A part of the study is devoted to the topic of introducing tuition fees as one of the possible methods of students' participation on the university's funding. The study provides arguments for and against such measure and proposes a solution on how to apply it in the Czech Republic. In relation to that, the focus is also posed on financial aid to students, specifically student savings for education and student loans on tuition fees without which the introduction of such measure is difficult to imagine. Criteria which the system providing loans to students should account for are considered and further other possible alternatives of the system are introduced and assessed. The final section presents several possibilities from which public universities may obtain funding beyond the basic framework of the state budget.

This master thesis deals with the dropout in higher education at public universities in the Czech Republic. Main goal was to gain a perspective, how public universities look at the rising dropout, on which bases the attitudes of universities differ, how great attention the universities pay to dropout in their annual reports and long-term goals and which impact it has with respect to national and international policies. Answers to research questions were obtained firstly by analyzing of the secondary data (literature, research, public policy documents, annual reports and long-term goals of public universities) and secondly by analyzing of the primary data (expert semi-structured interviews with representatives of public universities, seminars on the dropout in higher education, internship at the Ministry of education, youth and sports). The outcome of the data analysis shows that dropout is a significant problem for the most of public universities because it has a growing trend year by year. Most of them see the dropout through the pragmatic perspective due to financing of public universities. Many others external and internal factors have impact on behavior and attitude towards to the dropout in higher education, yet pragmatic perspective seems to be essential.

Diploma thesis "Analyses of public higher education funding in Czech Republic- implementation of changes" deals with setting the rules and principles of higher education institutions funding in Czech Republic and analyzes the situation in funding after year 2006. The thesis outlines its view on the universities budget and its function by clarifying the function of public budgets and it clarifies the constitution of higher education as a mixed good with externalities. Funding of higher institutions is a tool in the hands of the state, which helps to influence the higher education politics.For better understanding the current situation, the thesis is using the description of evolution in higher education funding after year 1989. Another important aspect is the international context, therefore , the thesis peeks into the setting up the system of higher education funding in chosen states and implements detected knowledge into the wider context. Liability for Damage Caused by Exercise of Public Authority Focusing on the Institute of Regress Damages This thesis focuses on liability for damage caused by exercise of public authority with an emphasis on the institute of regress damages as stipulated by Act. No. 82/1998 Sb. The institute of regress is emphasized throughout my paper as the fundamental research questions are: How is the institute expressed by positive law? Is it being used or is it only an empty provision? And how exactly is it being used? What is the success rate? If it is not used, what are possible reasons? The text is divided into four parts with subparts of first and second level. First part analyzes the key terms such as liability, damage, public authority and its entities. There is a disctinction between the public authority entity, who is liable for the damage, and the actual bodies, who exercise the authority. I also included a brief subchapter related to damage caused by lawful exercise of public authority. The central theme of this diploma thesis is to analyze key stress factors, which foreign background students meet during their integration in the Czech Republic. All respondents are recruited from the Eastern European countries, for instance, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. Two main groups include: - students who are in the Czech Republic less than one year - students who are in the Czech Republic for more than one year The primary research method was using a semi-structured interview with eight respondents. For measuring acculturative stress level was used the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), which was filled in by 36 students. There were found differences in the adjustment level and language competence among two groups of students. This research has also confirmed the relationship between the length of stay in the Czech Republic a level of acculturative stress. Presented master thesis deals with description of the gradual development and positions of the church schools in CR during the last 20 years. These schools are then complemented by the schools of theology at CR universities. This thesis is in a certain way a continuation of a bachelor thesis, successfully defended in 2007 at the School of Education of Charles University. The thesis describes in brief the history of education and pedagogy in general, church schools including. Then there are specified all the pertinent valid legal regulations for operation of church schools based on experience of the author from a managerial position of such a school for many years. The role of the general management and management of human resources on one side and the theological reflection of the church schools on the other side is discussed. In detail, the equipment of the facilities and their economy is analyzed as well as the goals and calling of these schools. In a wide spectrum of opportunities open to church schools in 21st century their potential can be used through new and fresh methods for evangelizing, mission and pastoral care.

The introductory part is devoted to the current children's reading, the factors that influence it, and reading interests of today's children. The following two chapters describe the activities for the children's reading support that are developed by Czech libraries and non-librarian entities. My thesis deals with the involvement of employers in the provision of child care services in the Czech republic, their legislative options, motivations, and challenges associated with providing these services. In addition to the so-called. "firm" kindergartens governed by the School Low, recently there was established new child care in children's groups. I try to describe and explain the process of creating this new legislation using optics of Multiple Streams Theory. The conducted expert interviews and interviews with representatives of employers helped me with the identification of external motivations and influences mainly from the state and the surrounding environment and internal factors directly related to the organization. Problem areas mainly concern the establishment of the service and its sustainability. At the conclusion of the thesis, there are formulated recommendations that could help a greater involvement of employers in the provision of childcare services.
