An isomorphism of graphs G dan H is a bijection ϕ:V(G)→V(H) such that u,v∈V(G) are adjacent if and only if f(u),f(v)∈V(H) are adjacent. This paper proved that T(Γ(Z_2p )) and P_2×K_p are isomorphic for every odd prime p.

If all vertices of G have distinct color codes, then c is called a locating k-coloring of G. The locating-chromatic number of G, denoted by χ L ( G ) , is the smallest k such that G admits a locating coloring with k colors. In this paper, we give a characterization of the locating chromatic number of powers of paths. In addition, we find sharp upper and lower bounds for the locating chromatic number of powers of cycles.

By a proper $k$-coloring of a graph $G$, we mean a map $ c : V (G) \rightarrow S$, where $|S| = k$, such that any two adjacent vertices receive different colors. An $r$-dynamic $k$-coloring is a proper $k$-coloring $c$ of $G$ such that $|c(N (v))| \geq min\{r, d(v)\}$ for each vertex $v$ in $V(G)$, where $N (v)$ is the neighborhood of $v$ and $c(S) = \{c(v) : v \in S\}$ for a vertex subset $S$ . The $r$-dynamic chromatic number, written as $\chi_r(G)$, is the minimum $k$ such that $G$ has an $r$-dynamic $k$-coloring. Note that the $1$-dynamic chromatic number of graph is equal to its chromatic number, denoted by $\chi(G)$, and the $2$-dynamic chromatic number of graph has been studied under the name a dynamic chromatic number, denoted by $\chi_d(G)$. By simple observation it is easy to see that $\chi_r(G)\le \chi_{r+1}(G)$, however $\chi_{r+1}(G)-\chi_r(G)$ can be arbitrarily large, for example $\chi(Petersen)=2, \chi_d(Petersen)=3$, but $\chi_3(Petersen)=10$. Thus, finding an exact values of $\chi_r(G)$ is significantly useful. In this paper, we will show some exact values of $\chi_r(G)$ when $G$ is an operation of special graphs.

If the representation r(v|W)̸= r(u|W) for every pair of vertices u,v of a graph G, the W is called the resolving set of G, and the cardinality of a minimum resolving set is called the multiset dimension, denoted by md(G). A set W is a local resolving set of G if r(v|W) ̸= r(u|W) for every pair of adjacent vertices u,v of a graph G. The cardinality of a minimum local resolving set W is called local multiset dimension, denoted by µl(G). In our paper, we discuss the relationship between the multiset dimension and local multiset dimension of graphs and establish bounds of local multiset dimension for some families of graph.

The central vertex join of G1 and G 2 is the graph G 1 V ˙ G 2 is obtained from C(G 1) and G 2 joining each vertex of G 1 with every vertex of G 2. The aim of this paper is to obtain the lower bound for r-dynamic chromatic number of central vertex join of path with a graph G, central vertex join of cycle with a graph G and r-dynamic chromatic number of P m V ˙ P n , P m V ˙ K n , P m V ˙ K n , P m V ˙ C n , C m V ˙ K n and C m V ˙ C n respectively.

Esta disserta??o tem como prop?sito identificar e descrever o fen?meno da representa??o discursiva da v?tima e do r?u no g?nero senten?a judicial. A pesquisa insere-se no ?mbito te?rico geral da lingu?stica textual e, mais especificamente, na an?lise textual dos discursos (ATD), teoria desenvolvida por Jean-Michel Adam ([2008] 2011). A no??o de representa??o discursiva proposta pela ATD constitui um dos aspectos mais importantes da dimens?o sem?ntica do texto e ? complementada nos trabalhos de Grize (1990, 1996) a partir da no??o de esquematiza??o. Nessa perspectiva, o trabalho ? orientado pelos estudos da lingu?stica do texto, com Koch (2012, 2005, 2004), Marcuschi (2012, 2008, 2005), Rodrigues, Passeggi e Silva Neto (2010, 2012, 2014); do g?nero, com Bazerman (2005), Bakhtin (1992); e do discurso jur?dico, com Capez (2012), Pimenta (2007), Louren?o (2013) e Gomes (2014). Metodologicamente, ? uma pesquisa documental, apresentando um car?ter qualitativo, descritivo e orienta-se pelo m?todo do racioc?nio indutivo-dedutivo. O corpus ? constitu?do por uma senten?a judicial, de natureza penal, coletado eletronicamente do s?tio do Tribunal de Justi?a de S?o Paulo ? Poder Judici?rio, em Consulta de Julgados de 1? Grau, com a tem?tica da viol?ncia contra a mulher. Os procedimentos de an?lise utilizaram as categorias sem?nticas da representa??o discursiva, como a referencia??o, a predica??o, a modifica??o e a localiza??o espacial e temporal. Os resultados focalizaram a constru??o da representa??o discursiva dos sujeitos (v?tima e r?u) a partir de PdV de enunciadores distintos, que podem aproximar-se ou distanciar-se de acordo com a orienta??o argumentativa do texto. This dissertation aims to identify and describe the phenomenon of discursive representation of victim and defendant in court judgment genre. Researchis part of general theoretical framework of text linguistics and more specifically in textual discourse analysis (ATD) theory developed by Jean-Michel Adam ([2008] 2011). Discursive representation notion proposed by ATD is one of the most important aspects of semantic dimension of the text, being complemented in the work of Grize (1990, 1996) from schematization notion. In this perspective, this work is guided by studies of text linguistics with Koch (2012, 2005, 2004), Marcuschi (2012, 2008, 2005), Rodrigues, Passeggi and Silva Neto (2010, 2012, 2014), with genre Bazerman (2005), Bakhtin (1992) and the juridical discourse with Capez (2012), Pimenta (2007), Louren?o (2013) and Gomes (2013) . Methodologically, is a documentary research, presenting qualitative and descriptive characters and is guided by the inductivedeductive method. Corpus consists of a judicial sentence, criminal, collected electronically from Court of Justice of S?o Paulo - Judiciary website in consultation Judged1st Degree, with the theme of violence against women. Analysis procedures use semantic categories of discursive representation, such as referencing, predication, modification and the spatial and temporal location. Results are focused on the construction of discursive representation of (victim and defendant) from PdV distinct enunciators, which may approach or distance themselves according to argumentative text orientation. Thus, considering social importance of forensic text and, in particular, court judgment in the lives of citizens, it was possible to realize the importance of developing research that addresses the study of text semantic dimension, especially in construction of representations of discourse objects

Depuis les 100 derni??res ann??es, la temp??rature de la Terre a fortement augment?? en raison des changements climatiques. Par exemple, le sud du Qu??bec a connu des anomalies d???environ +1,2 ??C depuis 1970. Or, deux cons??quences possibles d???une telle augmentation de temp??rature sont (i) le d??placement des distributions g??ographiques des esp??ces vers des latitudes ou altitudes plus froides, et (2) une modification des communaut??s favorisant les esp??ces adapt??es au chaud. ?? l?????t?? 2012, l???inventaire floristique effectu?? par Gilles Marcotte et Miroslav Grandtner en 1970 a ??t?? reproduit dans le Parc du Mont-M??gantic. Ce site d?????tude se distingue par un fort gradient altitudinal et une transition abrupte entre la for??t de feuillus et la for??t bor??ale, ce qui en fait un site propice ?? l?????tude des questions reli??es au climat. Ainsi, 48 parcelles de 0,1 et 0,2 acres (~400 et 800 m2) ont ??t?? inventori??es ?? 42 ans d???intervalle sur l???ensemble du parc. Ce m??moire vise donc ?? d??terminer s???il y a eu des changements dans les communaut??s v??g??tales du Mont-M??gantic, et si oui, si ces changements vont dans la direction pr??dite par le r??chauffement climatique. Les r??sultats sugg??rent un effet visible du r??chauffement climatique puisque les esp??ces se sont en moyenne d??plac??es vers le sommet de fa??on notable, toutes strates confondues (8,5 ?? 1,6 m par d??cennie). De plus, cette augmentation de l???altitude moyenne des esp??ces est coh??rente avec une augmentation des Community Temperature Indices (CTI) et des Community Moisture Indices (CMI) des parcelles (0,2 ?? 0,1 ??C et -0,13 ?? 0,05 unit??s arbitraires d???humidit??, respectivement, en 42 ans), sugg??rant une repr??sentation l??g??rement accrue des esp??ces adapt??es au chaud et au sec. Ces r??sultats sont coh??rents avec le r??chauffement r??gional observ??, puisque celui-ci peut r??duire la disponibilit?? de l???eau. Par contre, un r??le potentiel du changement de r??gime de lumi??re a ??t?? mis en ??vidence, particuli??rement pour les herbac??es, qui sembleraient affect??es par une ouverture accrue de la canop??e par rapport ?? 1970. Finalement, consid??rant que la variation spatiale des CTI est ??quivalente au gradiant adiabatique de temp??rature (-0,55 ??C/100 m d???altitude), nos r??sultats indiquent que les esp??ces v??g??tales du Mont-M??gantic subissent probablement un retard les emp??chant de se d??placer de mani??re ?? suivre l???augmentation de temp??rature observ??e. L’objectif principal de cette étude est de mettre en valeur les caractéristiques d’une « poétique de l’errance » dans le roman contemporain en nous appuyant sur l’analyse comparée de trois écrivains appartenant à des aires linguistiques et culturelles différentes. Le choix de V. S. Naipaul (Trinidad, 1932), R. Bolaño (Chili, 1953-2003) et J. -M. G. Le Clézio (France, 1940) repose sur la volonté de confronter trois types d’errance : postcoloniale, narrative et exotique. Pour comprendre l’errance, il était nécessaire de prendre en compte les définitions de l’exil et du nomadisme : l’exile défini par la critique postcoloniale (E. Said, H. Bhabha) et le nomadisme utilisé par G. Deleuze et F. Guattari constituent un point de départ incontournable. Ainsi, l’errance a pu être considérée comme une manière « d’être au monde » qui ne dépend pas nécessairement du déplacement géographique. La poétique de l’errance se caractérise avant tout par la fragmentation : fragmentation du territoire, de l’identité du personnage, de la narration. Le sentiment d’être de « nulle part » des personnages issus de la colonisation chez Naipaul, la recherche des origines chez Le Clézio et l’éclatement du Sujet chez Bolaño sont les marques d’un « entre-deux » identitaire (in-between, H. Bhabha) qui aboutit à la construction d’un « troisième espace » : un lieu imaginaire (le rêve, l’activité littéraire) ou réel (Londres chez Naipaul ou le désert chez Bolaño et Le Clézio) qui permet au personnage d’assumer son errance. Les trois types d’errance se rejoignent autour de la notion « d’effacement du Sujet », qui a pour conséquence d’accorder plus d’espace à la mise en contact et à la confrontation avec « l’Autre »
The main purpose of this study is to point out the characteristics of the “poetics of exile*” by comparing three writers from different linguistic and cultural areas. The choice of V. S. Naipaul (Trinidad, 1932), R. Bolaño (Chile, 1953-2003) and J. -M. G Le Clézio (France, 1940) is due to the will to compare three different types of exile: the postcolonial, the narrative and the exotic. To understand the exile, it was necessary to analyze other terms connected with travel writing such as “wandering” and “nomadism”: the exile defined by postcolonial critics (E. Said, H. Bhabha) and the nomadism used by G. Deleuze and F. Guattari was our starting point. Thus, the exile has been considered as a way “to be in the world” that does not necessarily depend on a geographical journey. The poetics of exile is marked by fragmentation: of the territory, of the characters’ identity, of the narrative. The feeling of being from “nowhere” of the characters which come from the colonies in Naipaul, the research of origins in Le Clézio and the explosion of the Subject in Bolaño, are the marks of the “in-betweennes” of their identity (H. Bhabha) that leads them to the construction of a “third space”: an imaginary place (dream, literary activity) or a real one (London in Naipaul or the desert in Bolaño and Le Clézio) that allow the characters to assume their exile. The three types of wandering share the idea of the “disappearance of the Subject”, which as a consequence gives greater prominence to the “Other”. The term wandering exists but doesn’t have the same meaning of the French word errance. Even if charged with political meaning, we had rather use the word “exile”

Jules Massenet's mélodies feature a distinct vocal treatment regarding musical prosody through his eight song cycles, including Poëme d'Avril, Poëme Pastoral, Poëme du Souvenir, Poëme d'Amour, Poëme d'Hiver, Poëme d'un Soir, and Quelques Chansons Mauves, and a collection, Expressions Lyriques. These mélodies show the influence of the trend of salon music and the high-level poetry from the poetic movements of romanticism, Parnassianism, and symbolism. This study deals with Massenet's mélodies relating to the prosody idea, which is conspicuous in his vocal treatment. His melodic styles feature four distinct aspects of vocal treatment including lyrical, recitative or parlando, melodramatic, and déclamation rhythmée, and represent the idea of musical prosody of phonetic, syntactic, and semantic aspects. Massenet's other musical idioms such as harmony, form, and piano treatment, are also closely related to the prosody matter as a semantic aspect, reinforcing the poetic mood and content. In this study, each melodic style related to French versification is examined in detail. The musical analysis regarding the other musical idioms on selected examples presents the semantic feature of prosody idea. The brief review of French versification and opinions regarding the performance are included. Massenet's contribution to the genre of mélodie, with the prose melody and treatment of piano as an equal partner of voice line, is clearly demonstrated. With this contribution, Massenet should be recognized as the most influential composer to the climatic time of French mélodie led by Fauré, and Debussy, and Duparc.

A maneira como as cidades se abastecem e as preocupações ambientais relativas ao sistema alimentar do qual atualmente dependemos têm vindo a suscitar um particular interesse no âmbito da investigação no campo da arquitetura. Tomando como ponto de partida as questões alimentares e as relações que estas estabelecem com o espaço urbano, torna-se então possível repensar as cidades contemporâneas e recuperar o antigo vínculo - que se tem vindo a perder desde o advento da revolução industrial - entre o mundo urbano e o mundo agrícola. As particulares condições naturais da área de Lisboa favoreceram historicamente a prática agrícola no interior do seu território, demonstrando a pertinência de uma abordagem à cidade que tenha como tema central a agricultura. Através do recurso a fontes primárias - como documentos escritos e cartográfcos históricos, é conduzida uma análise com a intenção de traçar de forma pormenorizada a antiga ocupação agrícola do solo da capital. No contexto de Lisboa, a Freguesia de Marvila é identifcada como a área que atualmente apresenta as características naturais e históricas apropriadas para a proposta arquitetónica de um modelo urbano agrícola. A estreita relação que se estabelece com a comida, a partir da produção até a fase de consumo, permite defnir um modo de vida colectivo que disponibiliza novos espaços para a cidade e para os seus habitantes. A comida, em todas as fases do sistema alimentar, torna-se o elemento estruturante na defnição de uma cidade agrícola: o projeto arquitetónico e paisagístico proposto responde às necessidades programáticas e funcionais do modelo de cadeia curta, que pressupõe uma proximidade entre produtor e consumidor, ou seja, entre horta e habitação.
Negli ultimi anni, il modo in cui vengono nutrite le città e le preoccupazioni ambientali relative al sistema alimentare da cui attualmente dipendiamo hanno riscontrato un particolare interesse nella ricerca in campo architettonico. Prendendo come punto di partenza le questioni alimentari e le relazioni che esse instaurano con lo spazio urbano è possibile ripensare le città contemporanee e recuperare l’antico legame tra mondo urbano e mondo agricolo che è andato a perdersi dall’avvento della rivoluzione industriale. Le particolari caratteristiche naturali dell’area di Lisbona hanno storicamente favorito la pratica agricola sul territorio, dimostrando la pertinenza di un approccio alla città che abbia come tema centrale l’agricoltura. Attraverso il ricorso a fonti primarie - come documenti scritti e cartografci storici, viene condotta un’analisi che intende tracciare in modo dettagliato l’antica occupazione agricola sul suolo cittadino. All’interno del contesto di Lisbona, la Freguesia di Marvila viene individuata come l’area che attualmente presenta le caratteristiche naturali e storiche adatte alla proposta architettonica di un modello urbano agricolo. Lo stretto rapporto che si stabilisce con il cibo, dalla produzione alla fase di consumazione, permette di defnire un modo di vivere collettivo che mette a disposizione nuovi spazi per la città e per i suoi abitanti. Il cibo, in tutte le diverse fasi del sistema alimentare, diventa l’elemento strutturante nella defnizione di una città agricola: il progetto architettonico e paesaggistico proposto risponde alle necessità programmatiche e funzionali del modello della fliera corta, che presuppone una prossimità tra produttore e consumatore, quindi tra orto e abitazione.

This study proposes a measurement and assessment model for the construction productivity of freeway reconstruction project, according to on the previous studies of Thomas and the characteristics of the freeway reconstruction project. The model is used on the cases of the freeway No. 1 reconstruction projects and No. 2 new construction project in Taiwan to realize and compare their respective influence factors of the construction productivity. When the model evaluates the threshold construction productivity of the embankment in the cases, the estimate values for the reconstruction projects and the new construction project are 0.048~0.052 MH/ M 3 and 0.025 MH/ M 3 , respectively. In addition, the influence factors in the reconstruction projects and between the reconstruction projects and the new construction project are introduced, leading to the arrangement of improvement methods. The results based on this study can support the use of the model to various constructions to completely establish the threshold construction productivity in construction engineering for the further use of the cost analysis and construction management. The working content factor in the model, however, should be further studied in a future to obtain a better result.

Abstract100 years ago, the concept of tortuosity was introduced by Kozeny in order to express the limiting influence of the microstructure on porous media flow. It was also recognized that transport is hindered by other microstructure features such as pore volume fraction, narrow bottlenecks, and viscous drag at the pore surface. The ground-breaking work of Kozeny and Carman makes it possible to predict the macroscopic flow properties (i.e., permeability) based on the knowledge of the relevant microstructure characteristics. However, Kozeny and Carman did not have access to tomography and 3D image analysis techniques, as it is the case nowadays. So, their descriptions were developed by considering simplified models of porous media such as parallel tubes and sphere packings. This simplified setting clearly limits the prediction power of the Carman-Kozeny equations, especially for materials with complex microstructures. Since the ground-breaking work of Kozeny and Carman many attempts were undertaken to improve the prediction power of quantitative expressions that describe the relationship between microstructure characteristics (i.e., tortuosity τ, constrictivity β, porosity ε, hydraulic radius rh) and effective transport properties (i.e., conductivity σeff, diffusivity Deff, permeability к,). Due to the ongoing progress in tomography, 3D image-processing, stochastic geometry and numerical simulation, new possibilities arise for better descriptions of the relevant microstructure characteristics, which also leads to mathematical expressions with higher prediction power. A radial radio labeling of G is an assignment of positive integers to the vertices, such that for any two distinct vertices w, z ∈ V, the inequality d(w, z) + | (w)- (z)| ≥ 1 + r holds, where d(w, z) represents the distance between vertices w and z, and r is the radius of the graph G. The span of a radial radio labeling is defined as the highest integer value in the range of and is denoted as span . In this paper, we establish the relationships among the radial radio number, the radio number, and the L(2,1)-labeling number. Furthermore, we construct specific graphs where the radio number equals the algebraic sum of the radial radio number and a given nonnegative integer. Similarly, we provide a proof of the existence of graphs for which the L(2,1)-labeling number is the algebraic sum of the radial radio number and a given nonnegative integer.

Abstract In this paper Kalos proposed what is now known as the Green’s function quantum Monte Carlo (GFQMC) method for solving the Schrödinger equation. Kalos made the “critical” observation that the time-independent Schrödinger equation could be transformed into an integral equation for which the Green’s function is known if the boundary conditions correspond to the wavefunction vanishing at infinity. In a 3n-dimensional space R the integral form is (modified here) an equation which may be simulated by a random walk process in which particles at positions R’ are altered in weight by the V / E term and moved to new positions R obtained by sampling the Green’s function G(R’,R). As for simple diffusion, repetition leads to a distribution of particles corresponding to the lowest-energy wavefunction from which the energy E may be determined. Since time is not involved, there is no time-step error associated with the procedure. The term V / E must remain positive if mixed signs for particle weights are to be avoideda. Kalos examined the utility of the method in determining the boson ground-state energies for several three- and four-body nuclear problems involving pairwise-additive interactions with square, Gaussian, and exponential wells. The errors in the computed binding energies were estimated to be about 1%.

In 1928, Clark continued to develop this graphical presentation in his text on the determination of pH. The utility of the method was further extended by numerous other investigators such as M. Abstract It is a well-known characteristic of West Greenlandic Eskimo that this type of Eskimo (unlike North Alaskan Inupiaq, for example) has complementarity of voiced and voiceless fricatives, short fricatives being voiced and long ones voiceless (in the new Greenlandic orthography, which is used in this paper. g and r symbolize voiced velar and uvular continuants, and gg and rr their long voiceless counterparts, whereas the corresponding labial set is distinguished orthographically as v versus ff). In accordance with the principle of feature distribution just stated we find that voiced fricatives are automatically replaced by voiceless segments in environments where they are long by true gemination (or by assimilation), for example iga- ‘to cook’ – iggavik or igaffik ‘kitchen’, neripput ‘they ate’ – nerripput ‘they shared a big meal’.

Fix a coloring c: V(G) → N of the vertices of a graph G and let W=v_1 ... v_{2r} be a walk in G. We say that W is repetitive (with respect to c) if c(v_i) = c(v_{i+r}) for i = 1,..., r; and that W is boring if v_i=v_{i+r}, for every i = 1,...,r. Finally, we say that c is a walk-nonrepetitive coloring of G if every repetitive walk is boring, and we denote by σ(G) the walk-nonrepetitive chromatic number, i.e., the minimum number of colors in a walk-nonrepetitive coloring of G. In this paper we explore the maximum number of edges in a graph G with n vertices for which σ(G) = k, for k≥ 4. In [Barát and Wood 2008] it was shown that e(G) ≤ (1/2)(k -1)n. We prove that the corresponding extremal graph is unique. More specifically, we show that e(G) ≤ (1/2)(k -1)n if and only if G is a union of disjoint copies of K_k. We also show that this upper bound can be improved for connected graphs for the case k = 4: if G is a connected graph for which σ(G) = 4 and |V(G)| ≥ 5, then e(G) ≤ (4/3)|V(G)|.

Let G be a nontrivial link-colored connected network. A link-cut R of G is called a rainbow link-cut if no two of its links are colored the same. A link-colored network G is rainbow disconnected if for every two nodes u and v of G, there exists a u-v rainbow link-cut separating them. Such a link coloring is called a rainbow disconnection coloring of G. For a connected network G, the rainbow disconnection number of G, denoted by rd(G), is defined as the smallest number of colors that are needed in order to make G rainbow disconnected. Similarly, there are some other new concepts of network colorings, such as proper disconnection coloring, monochromatic disconnection coloring and rainbow node-disconnection coloring. In this paper, we obtain the exact values of the rainbow (node-)disconnection numbers, proper and monochromatic disconnection numbers of cellular networks and grid networks, respectively.

In order to reduce the weight-size dimensions of the lasers and apply their atmospheric low temperetures, it is often needed to use air cooled lasers, instead of traditional water cooled ones. It is known [1], that the heat exchange ratio when cooled diffusely by air, is approximately by two orders of magnitude lower than that for the liquid cooling Therefore, creation of air cooled CW lasers with pump power up to 3kW is one of the actual problems of modern laser techniques. The main problem in creation of similar lasers is to obtain high heat transmission ratios in cooling channels, which will ensure for the lasers working temperature regimes to be near the ones when cooled by liquids. For obtaining such high ratios of heat transmission the authors of this paper succeeded in developing of the turbulence of the flow in the channels with straight flow of the air with Reynolds number R e 0.875 = d 2 − d 1 v P m a x ( d 2 − d 1 ) 2 g k L ρ where d2-d1- is the hydraulic diameter of cooling channel, v-the kinematic viscosity of the air, Pmax-the maximal input pressure of the channel, g-free falling acceleration, k-hydraulic resistance ratio, L-the cooling channel's length, ρ- the air density. The principle of cooling is based on achieving an equality between the times of diffuse propagation of heated air molecule from the cooled object in the plane, perpendicular to the air flow and its running time from the channel's entrance along all its length. Inserting the number Re in the formula for calculating the heat exchange ratio [1] α = λ d 2 − d 1 { … } R e 0.875 P r n , we get its value for cooling channels of various dimensions and configurations, where λ- is the air heat conductivity, Pr - the Prandtl's number, n = 0.4 + 0.5 2 P r + 1 and figure brackets contain tabulated values of this formula and also constructive-technical parameters of the cooled channel very slightly influencing the heat exchange ratio's value.

Contemporary Russian socio-cultural, cultural and philosophical, socio psychological, artistic and aesthetic practices actualize the Russian tradition of rejection, criticism, undisguised hatred and fear of power. Today, however, power has ceased to be a subject of one-dimensional denial or condemnation, becoming the subject of an interdisciplinary scientific discourse that integrates cultural studies, philosophy, social psychology, semiotics, art criticism and history (history of culture). The article provides theoretical substantiation and empirical support for the two facets of notions of power. The first facet is the unique, not only political, but also mental determinant of the problem of power in Russia, a kind of reflection of modus vivendi. The second facet is the artistic and image-based determinant of problem of power in Russia designated as artis imago. Theoretical grounds for solving these problems are found in F. Nietzsche’s perceptions of the binary “potentate-mass” opposition, G. Le Bon’s of the “leader”, K.-G. Jung’s of mechanisms of human motivation for power. The paper dwells on the “semiosis of power” in the focus of thoughts by A. F. Losev, P. A. Sorokin, R. Barthes. Based on S. Freud’s views of the unconscious and G. V. Plekhanov’s and J. Maritain’s views of the totalitarian power, we substantiate the concept of “the imperial unconscious”. The paper focuses on the importance of the freedom motif in art (D. Diderot and V. G. Belinsky as theorists, S. Y. Yursky as an art practitioner). Power as a subject of influence and object of analysis by Russian creators is studied on the material of perceptions and creative experience of A. S. Pushkin (in the context of works devoted to Russian “impostors” by numerous authors). Special attention is paid to the early twenty-first century television series on Soviet rulers (Stalin, Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Furtseva). The conclusion is made on the relevance of Pushkin’s remark about “living power” “hated by the rabble” for contemporary Russia.

Florida’s Creatives), observing self built city constitute not an escape but an exploration to change our point of view and find a new path of development. Self building involves at any scale, a practical attitude and return to an psychosomatic interaction among inhabitants and built environment. Focusing in self-building can become a Slowskij’s “estragement” to reactivate different sensibilities, for a new philosophy in contemporary design. Morphological reading of self-built environments has a double importance: for self-built cities themselves, to give response to the need of social cohesion, for a restructuring that traduces these needs into building and transforms the plural individual needs into a collective urban structure; for the enrichment that this reading can give to the architectural community culture, a new panorama where we can search new path to go over the crisis; The paper focuses on the scales that goes from building and construction material scale to urban fabric scale. Such analysis methods are a process that reviews the evolution and evaluation of towns throughout history. This paper focuses on, Conzen’s and Caniggia’s ideas, MRG Conzen’s historic-geographical approaches (1968) on planning level and Caniggia’s typo-morphological process (2001) on architectural level. Those methodologies help to understand the transformation procedure of different regions of city throughout the years and recovering how the city elements and urban hierarchy are interrelated. Additionally, the focus of this paper is to study the town’s morphological transformations, regarding its spatial, geographical and historical combinations. Within this context, Geographical and historical surveys done on the whole town of Lefke, in north-west Cyprus, and a detailed explanation on the typo-morphological analyses of some particular regions will be given in this article. One of the significant character that makes the town unique is its historical background which lay down with an organic urban pattern from Ottoman period. Lefke town was first formed with a medieval character, and through centuries of functional and physical transformations, has been highly influenced by British extensions, which were either prearranged modifications affected by socio- natural, economic, and political situations, or instinctive and spontaneous changes. All these historical factors, along with its geographical features, make Lefke an interesting case to be studied with an urban typo-morphological approach.
