Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis takes a closer look at the concept of extra-financial materiality, which has received little attention in the academic literature, and the artefact of matrices, the basis for the publication of extra-financial information. As this concept is marked by polysemous definitions and nebulous guidelines, companies' current practices lack rigour, leading to problems of transparency and comparability for stakeholders.Using the theoretical frameworks of Neo-Institutional Theory and Simons (1995), we explore this concept. The control mechanisms mobilised for strategic purposes, in particular the interactive and diagnostic ones, enable us to propose a three-dimensional measurement model for analysis. It adds a dynamic aspect to the assessment of materiality by taking into account not only expectations, but also the perceptions and trends of stakeholders. The model is being tested with 10,000 internal and external stakeholders in the context of a cooperative bank, in particular Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine The specific nature of this field of research has also led us to explore the notion of ubiquity in greater depth and to include stakeholders other than the members historically considered as such. Our results highlight a number of major contributions, including a rigorous process innovation with stages enabling the matrices artefact to be developed, the analysis of statistical data that creates and conveys meaning in order to steer an organisation's Global Responsibility strategy, a typology of materiality practices in cooperative and shareholder banks, a typology of issues and the misuse of scales on the tool producing illusions of consensus

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleObjective of this research was to understand the perception of the usefulness ofaccounting information in the perspective of decision making and assessment of creditrisk for companies. Recently, related to some notorious financial scandals, the qualityof accounting information has been seriously questioned. This has challenged us toexamine what is going on in this respect in the Cameroonian context.376In order to do so, we have conceived a model starting from a literature survey andadjusted it on the basis of an exploratory research (16 interviews). Methodologically, the observations from the experiment (134 respondents) are operationalized usingcorrelation and regression analyzes. The results indicate that, in the decision makingprocess, the links between overall quality of accounting information, the use ofaccounting information, the company's size and the perceived usefulness isstatistically significant. However, for the assessment of credit risk, the use of accounting information is notstatistically significant as a variable factor of its perceived usefulness. We observe asresults that, if accounting information is considered useful, it is rather in terms ofdecision making in terms of the evaluation of credit risk. Furthermore, it was foundthat in big corporations business high quality accounting information is perceived asuseful in both dimensions

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAs African organizations operate according to universal principles (Western) while such principles often ignore African specificities, this study proposes to relate Western theory to African specificities. This doctoral study examines a Western model, the Mitchell and al. (1997)’s model, applied to the governance of microfinance organizations in Senegal. Many researches explain that microfinance organizations’ problems are related to corporate governance difficulties. Moreover, most studies consider that the concept of stakeholder is the foundation of the governance of microfinance organizations. Finally, the model of Mitchelland al. (1997) is cited as one of the most relevant typologies in the stakeholder theory literature. The objective of this thesis is to integrate Senegalese traditional and cultural specificities in the model of Mitchell et al. (1997) applied to the governance of microfinance organizations in Senegal. From a qualitative study based on 24 interviews conducted with the leaders of microfinance organizations in Senegal in the Dakar region, we highlight that Western theories, in particular the model of Mitchell et al. (1997) can only be understood inside an institutional context linked to a territory, the tradition that is exercised there and the specificactors that make it live. In addition, taking into account the traditional and local aspects leads to a new thinking of both the role of microfinance organizations (value creation and distribution of the surplus) and the control mechanisms that are to be implemented to limit patronage drift or misappropriation of funds
Slama, Thouraya. „L'intégration des parties prenantes dans le développement du processus de stratégie environnementale durable“. Caen, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011CAEN0678.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis focuses on the integration of stakeholders in the implementation of sustainable environmental strategy. It presents the contributions and constraints of the literature on the notion of sustainable development within the company and its managerial variation: i. E. The stakeholders approach. This approach emphasizes the classification of stakeholders, but remains silent as to how this integration in the process of environmental development strategy takes place. We’ve resorted the theory of translation as an extension of stakeholder theory in order to be able to follow the process from the point of view of process (phases) as well as in terms of variables of Incorporation (stakeholders). To solve the problem, the first stage of empirical research is a qualitative exploratory study conducted within twenty five companies and five institutions operating on behalf of sustainable development. The second step will be a detailed analysis of five case studies, which have helped to refine the model proposed in the scoping study. Following this theoretical and empirical work, we propose a mapping of the deployment process of regarding the environmental development strategy taking into account the roles of stakeholders. We’ve also show that the process of deploying an environmental development strategy is reached through the integration of stakeholders, and the role played by each one of these in the process

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSea transport has seen strong growth over the past 30 years, which impacts on the marine environment, an environment sensitive to pollution. Maritime law generally adheres to a wait-and-see approach, developed as a reaction to successive environmental disasters, and arising from a much-needed reconciliation of shipowners' economic interests and the pressing nature of environmental issues. The States' decision making process is strongly influenced by the economic importance of sea transport who, in their triple function of coastal State, port State and/or flag State are often driven to make legislations of convenience in tax, economic, social and environmental matters. Measures could be proposed to develop laws in order to establish a balance within the IMO, and restore a transparent and genuine link between States, fleets and shipowners. In fact, modern maritime law allows room, in particular through lobbying tools, for other parties who intervene on the enactment and implementation of the law ruled by governance procedures. This widening of the normative process and avenues for sanction/redress to all stakeholders could ensure a better integration of environmental standards in maritime law. If the dialogue with local authorities is complicated by their status, at the same time victims, actors and obstruction of rights, the development of NGOs, currently limited in the international jurisdictional framework, would guarantee these objectives are achieved, including a better effectiveness of the law. The experience gained in the field of a CIFRE thesis, within the legal department of Surfrider Foundation Europe illustrates and establishes these avenues of improvement

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this thesis consists in conceiving corporate social responsibility as a mode of cooperation in an action strategy of companies and stakeholders. The different theoretical developments of corporate social responsibility and the spatial analysis of stakeholders' theory support the idea that corporate social responsibility constitutes a mode of coordination of rational games between companies and their environment. The more empirical examination the stakeholders' behaviour and the different instruments of corporate social responsibility confirm this will to coordinate but also to design new levers of intervention, aiming at orientating actions in favour of social goals such as the respect of human rights and the protection of the environment

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFrom ancient times, Greek cities saw their heroes, between two editions of the Olympic Games, move from one city to another. At the beginning of the 20th century, with the emergence of the Sport Movement, specific questions were raised about nationality, as one of the fundamental elements in the construction of the sports system. These questions have become all the more recurrent over the last two decades, in the wake of a general globalization of the world economy and the rise in political, legal and economic issues surrounding sport. How does the globalized ecosystem of sport reexamine the concept of nationality? Does it confirm its propensity to erase it, like other market sectors? In order to examine this question, this thesis considers nationality as both a unit of measurement of the globalization of the sports ecosystem and one of its strategic resources. Each stakeholder tries to capture it for its own benefit, around two main functions: the representativeness of national teams through the eligibility criteria adopted by the international federations; the implementation of quotas of foreign players in the club teams -notably with a view to protecting local teams- although largely defeated by the Bosman ruling. Using a dual quantitative and qualitative methodology, this question has been cleared up in order to study the political legacies, legal regulations and economic stakes that have traced its lineaments to the present day. Thus, the first part of this work deals with the institutional aspect through the evolution of sport and the governance of its authorities and states on this issue, while the second part looks at the strategies for capturing the value of nationality by national teams and clubs. Finally, a prospective reading of what the sport-nationality relationship would be tomorrow was provided, reinforced by an original proposal for a regulation supporting the establishment of an autonomous and universal sports nationality

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleLegal actions brought to court concerning Corporate Social Responsability reveal certain limits when litigants’ stakeholders wish to protect their interests. The Corporate Social Responsability law falls between soft law and hard law. Going through CSR law’s judicalization could really make litigation of stakeholders efficient. Usual processual mechanisms are insufficient once an action has to be brought to court dealing with CSR. The civil procedure will need some changes, specifically relating to legal standing and stakeholder interest. Some added improvement would allow stakeholders to ensure their legal defence thanks to this new and efficient legal device. The setting up of a collective action including a CSR with more resemblance to the American one would represent one such improvement. Moreover, stakeholders can decide to settle the matter out-of-court with an extrajudicial approach, using alternative dispute resolution. This choice could amount to a more negotiated inflection of justice. These proposals seem to be necessary to settle an efficient legal action concerning CSR. In this way stakeholders will be able to litigate in a whole new way in order to consolidate their protection. Current legal and social needs seem to make the law evolve so that stakeholders benefit from a legal action which can be considered as a real countervailing power against a corporation

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe objective of this research is to know if there are distances between the expectations of the stakeholders and the information disclosed by the firm on the nuclear risk in its annual report. First of all, I wonder about the motives which lead companies to disclose environmental information, by associating the theories of the legitimacy and the stakeholders. I notice then the report which the financial accounting does not allow to report the whole nuclear risk. In particular, accounting (provision and contingent liability) does not integrate the risks of uncertain occurrence with important possible damages, as the risk of nuclear accident. Consequently, this research widens the field of analysis beyond financial status to contain all the information disclosed by the firm in its annual report. I determine the expectations of the stakeholders in information on the nuclear risk, then confront these expectations with the information disclosed by the firms in their annual report. Two additional measures allow me to analyze this information. The first one which describes the information indicates that only 7% of the disclosed information about the nuclear risk in annual reports is quantitative visible information for the reader and dealing with precise objectives or with concrete programs led by the firms. The second measure deals with the quality of the information. It suggests that a lot of information wished by the stakeholders is not disclosed. All in all, the expectations of the regulating, financial and media stakeholders seem satisfied but those of the stakeholders of the environmental lobby groups would not be

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFor numerous organizations today, competitive gains rely on a cross-disciplinary approach of project type. Furthermore, as projects multiply and open on their internal and external environments, success is increasingly measured in terms of value for the growing number of actors or stakeholders directly or indirectly involved in the projects. In light of this, the aim of our research is to contribute to a better understanding of how managers can create favorable conditions for good progress and the success of projects involving numerous stakeholders. More specifically, a comparison of the literature on organizational politics, project management and competence led us to question the possibility of a collective competence for the political management of project stakeholders.Based on a qualitative methodological plan, including a series of preliminary interviews and two longitudinal embedded case studies, we confirm the existence of a true political competence and, for the first time, we describe how it is shaped and how it operates at an individual, collective, organizational and inter-organizational level. This leads us to support a conceptualization of shared leadership and a more authentic approach of project stakeholder management as a source of performance. Finally, we have proposed several avenues of further research to implement real collective political competence management

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCorporate Social Performance (CSP) has received a significant attention from scholars and practitioners. However, the study of the concept is often limited to its “results” dimension, focusing on measurement only. On the other hand, its managerial dimension has mostly been ignored and the concept of “stakeholders management”, a rather vague and ambiguous one, remains as CSP only managerial lever in the literature. This research seeks to fill that gap and develops a new CSP model. Its new managerial dimension comprises a set of managerial levers at strategic, tactic and operational levels and explicitly takes stakeholders’ role into account. As this research focuses on mountain resorts, the model’s relevance for such a unit of analysis has been assessed by confronting it to mountain resorts’ specificities identified through a systematic literature review. From a methodological point of view, 4 mountain resorts located in the French Alps have been studied through two (exploratory and confirmatory) case study methodologies. Primary data consists of transcripts of the 71 semi-directive interviews conducted with stakeholders from the political, civilian and economic spheres in the 4 resorts. Secondary data has also been collected. Despite the “economic tropism” observed in all 4 resorts, results show that stakeholders have a role to play on each three levels of social performance management and that this role may vary according to stakeholders’ power and legitimacy in the resort. They also show that integrating stakeholders in social performance management is a mean, for them, to better take their social responsibilities into account. From a theoretical perspective, the research contributes to the stakeholders’ approach of CSP by explicitly taking its managerial dimension into account and replacing it next to its “results” dimension. From a managerial point of view, we propose recommendations to help mountain resorts to embrace a wider – economic, social and environmental – view of performance

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAnthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions are recognized as one of the main factors contributing to global warming. One of the solutions put forward is to mobilize technologies that will allow a significant amount of CO2 to be captured. However, these projects affecting the subsurface are raising more and more questions from civil society stakeholders. Thus, in these projects, the spaces for dialogue are the scene of conflicts that can crystallize and stop the debate dead in its tracks. In order for the debate to promote mutual understanding and constructive exchanges, we propose to accompany the debate to encourage the commitment of each of the stakeholders to participate by adopting a posture of openness. To achieve this objective, two research axes were mobilized : 1) to engage the parties to come to the debate by adopting a posture of openness and (2) to structure the exchanges between stakeholders during the debate by creating a social context that favors the effective implementation of openness behaviors. The results have shown the relevance of Repeated Acquiescence to develop participation and prepare stakeholders to adopt an open-minded attitude, and the interest of cooperative controversy to allow individuals to adopt an open-minded attitude. The results of this thesis contribute to the literature on the accompaniment of major projects related to the energy transition by proposing paths of analysis and action to accompany the debates between stakeholders

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn a context of globalization, knowledge economy and innovative businesses and retaining stakeholders (PP) plants remains a reality and a requirement increasingly important to the performance. If shareholders expect a high return on their investment, employees place greater importance on maintaining employment, working conditions. This research tries to study a new perceptual phenomenon: the determinants of loyalty PP resources and their impact on financial performance (FP) of the company. Our goal is to propose an integrative model of the determinants of loyalty and personal investors. A qualitative analysis enabled us to identify and retain key determinants of loyalty investors. A review of the literature has built an explanatory model of personal loyalty. The idea was to identify scales that show the importance of each determinant to maintain these effects on PP and FP. The procedure developed in this research has led to many results satisfactory insofar econometric tests are positive and show that they are significant. If the different areas of choice have a positive influence on personal loyalty, they have a negative influence on the intention of quitting. This original intent has a negative effect on the PF unlike the loyalty of investors, which has a positive effect, given the observed determinants, using qualitative studies

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFor several decades, local conflicts over industrial or development projects have constituted a diffuse and structural phenomenon of acceptability. Gradually, institutions and companies have developed organizational responses i.e. strategies of acceptability, involving forms of specialization. One potential consequence of such organizational learning would be the emergence of a new professional group. This thesis examines the "professionalization" of these "stakeholder management" practices within a large company, Electricité de France. It highlights organisational learning through a durable approach to local stakeholders: the "territorial programme". It then shows how this distinct competence of the organisation has been adapted since the mid-2000s to the new context of liberalisation of the energy sector and the withdrawal of the French State from the territories. The leaders of these territorial programs update their motives by seeking to rationalize the company's local action according to a new moral economy. They define a "local sensemaking" that they oppose to other professionalisms. Yet, despite a common model of action and a great convergence in their discourses, they refuse the idea of an explicit professionalization of their activity. This refusal is explained by the combination of factors specific to the exercise of the interface function with the local environment and by competition with other professional identities. The notion of professionalization dynamics then makes it possible to describe a situation with no institutionalization of functions or constitution of a professional group claiming to be such

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleOur thesis aims to demonstrate that resistant individuals can be integrated as real stakeholders of the organizational learning process. This integration is possible when the consequences of their identity defense mechanisms for the organization are taken into account. To achieve this goal, our qualitative study follows a semi-grounded theory approach. This approach combines a preliminary theoretical framework and inductive empirical data to elaborate a model showing some positive contributions of resistance. Our research first addresses change through its impact on organizational identity (Corley & Gioia, 2004). Then, it considers how resisting activities can achieve significant organizational change (Courpasson et al., 2012). Finally, it develops a cognitive approach of change that brings us to consider resisting behaviors for their participation in the diversity of points of view inside the organization. Based on logbook extractions, 42 semi-directive interviews and a documentary analysis, our data provide a better understanding of how change takes root in the organization and how resistant individuals participate in this process. Thus, this inductive study results in a two-level model. The first level shows radical organizational change as a three-steps process: initiation, accentuation and rooting. In particular, we focus on organizational identity, its dissonances with alternative identity-related logics and the employees’ implication in the adjustment of change. This process results in the emergence of individual and organizational learning associated to a cognitive governance. The second level details the roles of the resistant individuals in this process. It shows that they can be real stakeholders of the key stages of change. In so doing, they allow the company to evolve towards the ideal of learning organization. We also propose a typology of resistant individuals (Forgotten, Followers, Emergent, New rebels), which allows us to develop some positive implications of resistance

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe objective of this thesis is to study the apprehension of cost / value by the various stakeholders in the telecommunications market (operators, consumers and regulator). In order to achieve this objective, we have, in the first part, preceded to study the competitive context of the telecommunications market and the joint relations between key and peripheral stakeholders in the telecommunications sector. Stakeholder theory has been mobilized to understand the complexity of mobile telephony activity and to identify stakeholders who benefit from value (creation and value distribution). The understanding of the cost / value by stakeholders is based on cost management (including network cost management) and customer relationship management and customer profitability measurement. These two axes represent the theoretical foundation of our thesis. In the second part, we measured how each main stakeholder apprehends the cost / value. For operators, we have found that this apprehension is based on network economics (lower costs) and the maximization of ARPU (maximizing customer value). For consumers, this apprehension is based on the notion of good value for money. In other words, paying less for better quality in terms of offers and services. For the regulator, apprehension is conditioned by the regulation of the interconnection prices between the operators and by that of the quality of the network. The apprehension of each stakeholder is confronted with cognitive dissonances related to the divergence of perception between operators and consumers. The mediating role of the regulator plays a crucial role in reducing these cognitive dissonances

Through their study, this thesis aims to offer an original perspective on issues of corporate governance and organisational identity in a changing institutional environment. Part I analyses the dynamics of clubs' governance and emphasises the importance of urgency, which is accentuated by the strong media coverage of the field. It also underlines the existence of identity-related claims that are caused by a change of institutional logic. Part II shows how some actors made this change possible by actively redefining the boundary of their field both through discourse and the setting up of proto-institutions. Finally, Part III highlights how management tools and a reinterpretation of past failures have allowed organisational identity to adapt to this new logic. It also insists on the importance of 'sameness' which constitutes the core layers of identity

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCurrent multifaceted crises bring to light the importance of corporate responsibility in our society, thereby challenging a neoliberal tenet summarized by Milton Friedmand’s famous saying (1970): “The social responsibility of business is to increase its profits”.It is in response to these crises and thanks to the active role played by civil society who now condemns certain practices that the concept of corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) has emerged.Today’s challenge is thus to put in place a responsible marketplace between the company and its stakeholders. In the so-called Grenelle I Law, the French legislator specifies that mediation should be a toolto implement CSR.He therefore advocates the development of mediation as a procedural tool to implement CSR as an integral part of substantive law.Mediation, from both a preventive and a remedial perspective, is accordingly an instrument toimplement CSR.The CSR / mediation nexus successfully combines economic efficiency and social, societal and environmental respect
Djaballah, Mathieu. „Une approche sensemaking de la responsabilité sociale dans le secteur de l'événementiel sportif“. Thesis, Paris 11, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014PA113003.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSince the early 2000’s, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has gained a growing interest in the sport management literature. It seems clear that CSR takes very particular forms in this field. This doctoral research more specifically deals with sporting events. Sporting events appear to be influenced, like other sport organizations, by two sets of determinants (Babiak & Wolfe, 2009), namely “unique internal resources” and “strong external pressures”. This work views sporting event’s social responsibility as a “black box” which the researcher has to open in order to understand how the different stakeholders make sense of it. It therefore aims two objectives: (1) to analyze the strategic sensemaking process (Thomas, Clark & Gioia, 1993; Selsky & Parker, 2010) of two main sporting events’ stakeholders – corporate sponsors and local governments; (2) to account on how the various stakeholders influence the collective sensegiving process (Gioia & Chittipeddi, 1991; Maitlis, 2005) resulting in social responsibility actions. This research is structured around three studies. The first-two are based on semi-structured interviews with corporate sponsors (N=23) and local governments (N=23). The third is composed of four case studies combining semi-structured interviews with sporting events organizers and their main stakeholders (N=27), on-site observation and document analysis. The results identify several levels of ambiguity which mark the sensemaking processes of both stakeholder categories. Concerning corporate sponsors, these levels include positive and negative perceptions about the link between sporting events and social responsibility, perceived links between sporting events’ social responsibility and their own CSR, perceived focus of social responsibility actions as well as perceived links bewtween these actions and their strategic objectives on the event. Concerning local governments, these levels include positive and negative perceptions about sporting events’ social impacts, perceived controllability of these impacts and perceived links between sporting events, the social aspects of global sport policies as well as environmental policies. For each of these actors, combinations of the various levels of ambiguity lead to the development of social responsibility strategies during the events. Case studies show that sporting events can be placed on a continuum between “constained” and “not-constrained” sensemaking depending on the origin and intensity of sensegiving activities. Constained sensemaking occurs when organizers conform to the sense imposed by stakeholders. It seems to be associated with moral legitimacy, a low strategic level and a “do no harm” praxis. Not-constrained sensemaking occurs when organizers keep the control of the sensemaking process. It seems to be associated with pragmatic and cognitive legitimacy, a strong strategic level and a “do good” praxis

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe scope of the research is an analysis of stakeholders' influences on strategic decisions, focusing principally on the role of family, within a gender perspective. The theoretical framework is the proxemic influence in Small Businesses. This framework was defined by Torrès (2003) based on the work of psycho-sociologists Moles and Rohmer (1978). The proxemic theory emphasizes the prevalence of things, people and elements that are close compared to those which are more remote. Torrès shows how strategic decisions of entrepreneurs are embedded by this proxemic influence. We test the validity of this law through the layers of theory defended by Gibb (1988) which identified a hierarchic influence of the stakeholders. The empirical study is based on an experiment structured from the experimental economics field. Men and women entrepreneurs are the subject of the experiment. Results show, innovative opportunities to better understand the strategic decisions of women entrepreneurs. They also highlight the theoretical interest of the proxemic principle to survey women from their own perspective, rather than only from the male comparison

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleInterest in measurement of sustainability performance has increased considerably in recent years. In this context, a wide range of actors and organizations emerged to manage the measurement, disclosure, auditing and reporting of sustainability performance. In the specific field of socially responsible investment (SRI), the importance attached to the measurement of sustainability performance was reinforced by the growth of sustainability funds. Taking advantage of this trend, a large body of academic research has been devoted to the measurement of sustainability performance. However, social and institutional processes through which the measurement of sustainability performance is constructed are still understudied. This research aims to analyze the measurement of corporate sustainability performance (CSP) in the context of SRI by highlighting the perceptions and discourses of actors as well as their legitimation strategies. Using a qualitative approach, this study is based on a series of semi-structured interviews with SRI professionals and data collected from the websites of organizations, official documents and newspaper articles. Impression management, institutional theory, sociology of quantification and rhetoric have especially been mobilized to analyze the results of this research. The first paper sheds light on the perceptions of stakeholders - involved in the field of SRI- of the quality of GRI reports. It shows the reflexivity of practitioners vis-à-vis the information published by the companies, the lack of application of some principles of the GRI and the impression management strategies underlying the disclosure of information in this area. The second paper explores the discursive strategies used by SRI professionals to justify the selection of controversial companies in the portfolios of some SRI funds. This paper highlights three modes of justification (rationalization, authorization and identification) deployed by SRI professionals to deal with controversies and build their legitimacy. These three modes of justification are underpinned by three types of discourses (strategic, expertise and dialectic) through which actors within the SRI field attempt to maintain the status quo, build their expertise and credibility and seek new forms of legitimacy. The third article examines the mechanisms through which the measurement of CSP shapes the SRI field. It shows that the institutionalization of SRI practices, including the assessment of CSP, plays a crucial role in the social construction of the SRI field. Overall, this research sheds light on both processes of questioning and legitimizing the measurement of CSP. Keywords: Socially responsible investment; measurement of corporate sustainability performance; GRI; legitimacy, rhetoric, controversy.
Saniossian, Jennifer. „Le processus de création des méta-organisations multi-parties prenantes : le cas des pôles territoriaux de coopération économique (PTCE)“. Thesis, Lille 1, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020LIL1A017.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe theme of multi-stakeholder cooperation is increasing, particularly between organizations of different legal forms, in the context of collective activities and organizations. This theme has been reinforced for several years, through the prism of the growing relations established between institutions, companies, SSE organizations and citizens for activities with a social and solidarity purpose. Within the different forms of cooperation, the « Pôle Territorial de Coopération Economique » (PTCE), defined by the French law of July 31st, 2014 relating to the social and solidarity economy, appears as a specific form of multi-stakeholder meta-organization (MSMO) with a social and solidarity aim. The PTCE questions the current knowing of meta-organizations and MSMOs, in particular by its form of structured cooperation within a collective organization, based on equality between members of different legal forms and developing activities with a social and solidarity aim. More particularly, through the freedom to integrate a meta-organization as well as its formal and multi-stakeholder character, the process of creating MSMOs questions the capacity of organizations to link up with each other. Therefore, the research seeks to answer the following research question: How are MSMOs created? Focused on the study of the regional context of the process of creation of PTCEs, in a research-intervention approach, the research focuses on the realization of three abduction loops at three different levels of analysis (macro, meso, micro). We observe collective meetings, institutions, PTCEs and their multi-stakeholder organizations presents between 2017 and 2020 in the Hauts-de-France region. The results of the research highlight the involvement of organizations at different levels of analysis in the creation of MSMOs with a social and solidarity-based approach: institutions and MSMOs develop an environmental framework that favors their creation, MSMOs structure themselves to influence the environmental framework and develop activities with a social and solidarity-based approach, and MSMO stakeholder organizations get involved through activities and through the structuring of the MSMO itself. We highlight the preponderance of the role of stakeholder organizations in the process of creating MSMOs and the influence of the practical and co-evolving perspective facilitating the creation of the governance, activities and collective strategy of the MSMO. The research thus intends to contribute both to theoretical fields in management sciences and in research practices in management. Concerning the theoretical field, we contribute to the field of meta-organizations through the study of the process of creation of MSMOs, to the highlighting of a specific field in organizations with social and solidarity-based aims, and to the field of co-evolution through the study of the effects of co-evolution in the creation of new inter-organizational forms. Concerning research practices, we contribute to the experimentation of a thesis plan based on the abduction loops, to the demonstration of multi-case research-intervention with emerging cooperation, as well as to the opportunity to study emerging phenomena thanks to multiple abduction loops at different levels of analysis

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe governance of French universities has been profoundly transformed in recent years by developments that have affected the entire public sector, leading to a real drive to achieve an enhanced public performance. The development of a management culture has led French universities to develop control systems to meet the new challenges resulting from these changes. Existing systems can meet the demands of regulatory authorities, but they are not sufficient to help in the strategic piloting. This is due to ambiguous objectives, resulting from the numerous missions of the universities and the similarly numerous stakeholders which should be taken into account. Thus the control systems in place are insufficient for the measurement and control of overall performance. This research shows that if the political will is strong in university, a methodological approach decoupling performance dimensions and based on the expectations of stakeholders allows clarification of the objectives. The implementation of management control systems is also made possible providing universities with the means to control their activities and evaluate their overall performance. Taking the example of the mission of the university in terms of sustainable development, an exploratory approach using multiple case study and action research contributes to the development of a management control system finalized by a Sustainability Balanced Scorecard

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation aims to enhance understanding of strategic management cooperation between the stakeholders of a construction project. Our work is particularly focused on the link between cooperation management and socio-economic performance of architectural and engineering firms. This link is analyzed through two main theoretical frameworks: socio-economic theory and stakeholder theory. An empirical analysis of strategic management cooperation within architectural and engineering organizations, through a dysfunctional approach according to the socio-economic intervention-research methodology, highlights the main causes of cooperation failures and their impacts on stakeholders. Then, experimentations, conducted in 22 architectural firms and in a SME engineering company, show that synchronization, strategic management and stakeholders’ skills management are three main improvement axes of cooperation strategic management. Those axes’ levers and development factors, mobilized by architectural and engineering firms to improve cooperation quality with internal and external stakeholders, are developed. Skills and trust appear as two significant cooperation performance and sustainability factors. Their combination leads to the development of a concept of efficient and sustainable cooperation-trust management in which strategic cooperation is the activator, by leverage effect, improves the organization’s socio-economic performance and its management. A management which calls for repositioning the architectural and engineering firms work to that of architectural and engineering firms as cooperation managers

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSince 1996, consumers are entitled to sit in the Boards of directors of French public hospitals. The law of March 04th, 2002 dealing with patients' rights dedicates them as actors of the health care system governance. This phenomenon, which is called sanitary democracy, organizes consumers' involvment within health policies decision processes. By questionning consumers power in decision-making, the sanitary democracy remains problematic. Are consumers salient stakeholders or not in the French health care system governance? My theoretical Framework mainly deals with the Stakeholder Theory. The salience of stakeholders is thus, determined by three factors : the attributes of legitimacy, urgency and power (Mitchell et al. , 1997). In short, salience in an organization depends on the identification of stakeholders' attributes. The concept of power (Dhal, 1957; Etzoni, 1998) is aslo mobilized to explain the relationship between thoses attributes on the one hand and consumers' contribution as stakeholders on the other hand. Secondary analysis of primary data is undertaken with the method of the Data quality review (DQR). Our primary data stems from four research studies (DGS 05-06; Cruq 07; Cissra 07 and Cissra 08) which are used to improve the empowerment of consumers in the French health system governance. In conclusion, three types of consumers (conceived as stakeholders) are highlightened by Mitchell et al. : non stakeholder, dependent stakeholder and definitive stakeholder. Futhermore, three perceptions of managers' minds are pointed out Etzoni' s notion of utilitarian power : non salient, poorly salient and highly salient. Thus, various types of power blur the reality of consumers' power in the French health system governance

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCorporate-NGOs strategic alliances, which will be called "hetero-alliances" due to the traditional discrepancies and organisational asymmetries between the two parties, are not only a new relationship modality, but an innovating way to face the challenges associated to sustainable development. Theses alliances stir interest, but the literature is still limited and focuses mainly on the business case and case studies description. The dynamic of this type of collaboration is still underexplored (A. Crane, 2000). To face this lack of research, this PhD thesis will focus on the management of hetero-alliances. The document will be divided into two parts : the first one will explore the foundations of hetero-alliances (antecedents, motivations, typologie of allies and alliances), which are necessary to the understanding of their mere existence. The second part will examine the mamagement of these alliances, through three main topics : alliance capacity development, stakeholder involvement, performance measurement. This analysis will be made against the backdrop of the existing asymmetries between the private and non-govermental sector, which have long justified their confrontation and is a recurring theme in the literature

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of this doctoral thesis is to explain the sustainable development integration variability by a stakeholders approach and resource-based theory analysis in the French mass market industry. The first step of the empirical study is based on a qualitative analysis of the « Club Déméter », a group of public and private actors working together on sustainable development issues. This qualitative study is conducted by of documentary analysis, 16 interviewsand a long non participant observation of a srnall group within the « Club Déméter ». With this first empirical study, we were able to precise the research model and to prepare the second step of the empirical study. The second step of the empirical study is based on a quantitative analysis of 188 firms within the French mass rnarket industry. This empirical study gave us the opportunity to estimate the quality of the measuring device and to test the research model. The results show a positive influence of stakeholders orientation, environmental management competencies, human resources management competencies, product eco-design competencies, eco-design of packaging that can be reused, simplified, end of life value added, and made with recycled raw material competencies, on internai environmental strategy proactivity. The results also show a positive influence of stakeholders orientation, human resources management competencies, and packagingmade with recycled raw material competencies on external environmental strategy proactivity

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this doctoral thesis is to understand the mechanisms for collaboration in inter-organizational innovation projects and then build together management tools adapted to this situation. Collaborative innovation projects (CIP) are our object of study. They are “multi-voice” make visible “contradictions” that occur because the project focus is not shared (Engeström, 1987, 2001; Engeström and Sannino, 2011) and path changes of activity based on the relative weight of stakeholders (Mitchell et al. 1997). There is a mediation issue. We rely on the lever of societal responsibility to carry out this mediation. Our research question is: to what extent mediator artifacts, in the spirit of societal responsibility, are an inter-organizational collaboration lever in the CIP?In a context of an intervention-research in management sciences (David, 2012), in Industrial Convention of Formation by Research, we are interested in CIP of a competitiveness cluster, HYDREOS. The CIP SYALIS highlights the need of an artifact, which is able to crystallize tensions between several stakeholders. The CIP SIRUS allows experiencing the co-construction of this artifact. The results are consideration of different points of view, which is likely to improve inter-organizational collaboration; the development of an expansive learning in the operational team and the consortium of CIP; and the diagnosis of proximal zone of development that reinforces the dynamics of learning

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAbstract : This thesis adopts stakeholder paradigm to investigate the decision-making process within the context of Information Technology Governance (ITG) as an integral part of enterprise governance. The Theory of Mass Dynamics (TMD) is produced through the present thesis by means of constructivist approach to grounded theory as informed by Charmaz. Data are provided by 33 ITG practitioners via intensive interviews and elicited charts generated using a web tool specially developed for this research purposes. The TMD suggests a three-level analysis framework describing how stakeholder salience interferes on the ITG decision making process. First, at organization-wide level, stakeholders are socially perceived as having unequal weight in terms of power. When an IT related draft decision gets on the agenda of an enterprise governing body, stakeholders get divided into two groups: change masses and status quo masses engaging in dynamics that end up turning the scale in favor of either decision adoption or denial. The TDM rule suggests that the draft decision fate will be determined by the side on which most powerful stakeholders eventually stand to in the change/status quo scale. Second, at the governing body level, both change and status quo masses are directly or indirectly represented by members of the decision making group. Bearing in mind the TDM rule, those stakeholders’ representatives engage in a negotiation process aiming at moving the group from conflict towards compromise. Depending on whether conflict is motivated by rational, non-rational or mixed considerations, actors will go in search of compromise either through boardroom negotiations, through corridor negotiations or through a mix of both. Finally, at the individual level of analysis, a decision maker involved in this process would engage in a political rationalization attitude through which he or she thinks and sets negotiation arguments bearing in mind the stakeholders’ power. At this individual level of analysis, the TDM suggest a four-shade spectrum of political rationalization respectively described as follows: rationalizing politics as unavoidable evil, rationalizing mitigated intentions, rationalizing bad practices and rationalizing potentially fraudulent practices. Thanks to such a non-technical knowledge, the TDM may contribute in filling the gap between ITG and board of directors.

However, twenty years of research, no overall measure of its performance is proposed. The impact of responsible actions in purchasing on financial performance remains to be explored. This work puts the two performances in perspective in the same model, and examines the mediating role of three intangible resources (human capital, innovation and reputation) between the tangible resources of the company and the performance of responsible purchasing. The results of this work – following the analysis of 1918 observations, in 18 European countries, from 2011 to 2017, from the main databases (Vigeo Eiris, Institute reputation, Infinancials, and Thomson Reuters)- confirm the hypothesis that resources — including human capital — contribute to improving the performance of responsible purchasing, which in turn impacts the corporate financial performance

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAn established stream of literature in institutional tradition suggests that as institutional change process unfolds in the field, dominant institutional logic shifts. The implications of such shifts in institutional logic for the broader network of relationships of various constituents are still not clear. This thesis, therefore, aims to uncover the dynamics of firm-stakeholders relationships in a field undergoing a robust institutional change process. In order to understand these evolving relationships in emerging country’s context, Mitchell et al.’s (1997) framework of stakeholder salience has been employed as an underlying theoretical framework. This thesis also makes several conceptual and empirical contributions to this framework and strengthens its theoretical underpinnings. Overall, using data collected through semi-structured interviews and archival material, this dissertation suggests strong dominant institutional logic-stakeholder salience relationship. Moreover, this thesis provides several lessons for managers and researchers that may help to better set firms’ strategic direction

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBased on a research-intervention carried out as part of a CIFRE thesis within the association "Auvergne Nouveau Monde" (ANM), the objective of this thesis is to identify, understand and evaluate the different determinants on which lies the participation of the stakeholders in the place marketing process of the "ANM" brand of territory. In order to do this, in a first part, in the fields of participatory democracy and place marketing, the meaning, scope and stakes of the participation of the stakeholders of a brand of territory are explained as well as their conceptual foundations. Then, in a second part, the field of research and the methodological approach to study the participation of the stakeholders of the brand "Auvergne Nouveau Monde" are exposed: the latter consists, first, of a contextualization work on the participation of stakeholders in the ANM place marketing approach and then, secondly, of a qualitative study carried out through 25 interviews with members of the association ANM, and, thirdly, the PLS (Partial Least Squares) approach to two models of structural equations (a model for the members of the ANM association and a model for the brand ambassadors, citizens of Auvergne) of the determinants of the participation of ANM brand stakeholders in the implemented place marketing approach. In a third part, the results of the validation of the two structural equation models of the determinants of participation based on a total sample of 295 respondents are presented and then discussed in order to delineate both the inputs, limitations, managerial implications and research prospects. The results show that attachment to the ANM brand has a positive influence on the participation of the stakeholders studied; correspondingly, the results indicate that this attachment to the brand is positively influenced by the feeling of regional belonging, organizational involvement (for members) and satisfaction with the ANM brand association

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of this research is to assess the corporate environmental reporting (CER) of Tunisian and Moroccan companies and to determine the factors likely to support it or constrain it. Relying on the stakeholder theory, we use the conceptual model of Ullmann (1985) to test the effect of the stakeholder power, corporate culture and the economic and financial performances on the extent of the CER. The sample comprises 18 Tunisian and 20 Moroccan companies listed respectively on Tunisian and Moroccan stock exchanges markets. The evaluation of the extent of CER is made on the basis of annual reports collected over the period from 2000 to 2007. The results of the quantitative analysis show that CER is made mainly to shareholders and investors. The influence of corporate culture, economic and financial performances, company's industry, size and country's origin is confirmed. Furthermore, a qualitative analysis is conducted on 10 companies selected from the initial sample. The results reveal that the company's level of internationalization, being a subsidiary of multinational renowned for its commitment to sustainable development, the size of the auditor and the composition of the Board explain the extent of the CER of Tunisian and Moroccan companies

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleTechnological innovation, and CSR involvement, is nowadays an important issue for firms. However, its influence remains under researched in the context of SMES’s. Our thesis contributes to filling a gap in the literature and highlights the adoption of technological innovations in industrial independent manufacturing SMEs with managerial practices-oriented CSR. To answer the main question of the thesis " Does stakeholder orientation promote the adoption of technological innovations in CSR-oriented SMEs?", we will mobilize Freeman's Stakeholder Theory (1984) as the starting point for our reflection. The reflections devoted Freeman's Stakeholder Theory enabled us to examine the effect of actors present in the environment of French industrial independent manufacturing SMEs by the stakeholder model proposed by Buysse and Verbeke (2003) allowed us to observe which groups of stakeholders positively influence the adoption of technological innovations. This research is based on a double approach: qualitative descriptive and quantitative econometric. Three major contributions stem from this thesis: (1) Explore CSR practices widely used in SMEs from the CSR and sustainable development study of INSEE (EnDD2011); (2) Two main results: 2-a- SMEs develop, intense and diversified relationships – however very localized – with stakeholders which aim to adopt technological innovations in the INSEE Innovation CIS 2012 study; 2-b- SMEs prefer the relationship with some stakeholders in their activity of adopting technological innovations for strategic reasons. In view of the results presented, managerial recommendations are put forward to help increase the commitment of managers of independent industrial manufacturing SMEs in stakeholder relations to optimize the adoption of technological innovations

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is actually related to the satisfaction of the interests of the stakeholders. However, this notion of the stakeholders creates many difficulties: who are these stakeholders? How to take into consideration their interests when it the stakeholders can’t express their requests, like non-human actors? The Stakeholders theory (SHT) is always used in works dealing with CSR. However, the SHT didn’t resolve some important questions just like how to identify the members of a firm’s environments. The Actor-Network theory (ANT) is an interesting framework in understanding the actions displayed in the social environment of firms. In this work, we tried to use both theories in order to follow the processes of the environment’s actors and describe the social innovations that were developed. Moreover, we suggest an articulation between various concepts, especially the CSR and the cooperation concept which we have hinted to and which is based on “translation” games exactly as they were described by Michel Callon (1986) in his controversial socio-techniques analysis. Besides, the objective of this research is to redraw the touristic company network boarders of Essaouira city, in terms of the question “who counts?” that is still without answers. The mobilized theoretical framework, which is set between the theory of the stakeholders and the theory of the network-actors, allows us to bypass the limits that previously unblocked on some cut networks.Following the actor’s footprints without censuring arguments and actions allowed us to retrace some panoptic networks of some firms. These firms are set in Essaouira city which has known a remarkable touristic dynamism since the beginning of 2000.The different operators were in charge of valuing the different potentials of the city. Namely, the interest of following this movement which scrummed the heterogeneous actors. In addition, this work will emphasize the capacity of the stakeholders’ actors to surmount the conflicts resulting in the concurrent uses of territory resources, and conceive a collective strategy of SRE based on the aggregation of different interests. In this regard, we have reported an argument between the managers of a guest house located in a marginalized village and a “crowd” of agents impacted by this project. We followed the progress in order to see the profit-sharing and the enlistment games that resulted into the creation of a cooperation network making resources of this territory the engine of this social innovation
