Der volle Inhalt der QuelleOur research concerns the study of the reading/comprehension of authentic French texts by Korean students in the perspective of the notion of textual socialization, essential for the development of reading skills. Our objective is to examine the readers'(re)construction of textual meaning ; more specifically, the construction of the relationship between scriptor and reader in a semio-linguistic context. The empirical studies are based on the reading of literary and journalistic texts after wich written and oral data in the form of questionnaires and semi-guided interviews were collated from two groups of Korean students of French (in an endolinguistic or exolinguistic context) and a group of native French speakers : in French and Korean for the Koreans groups, and in French only for the French group. The students completed two activities : localization and identification of enunciative marks in the texts and explanation of their comprehension of each text. The questionnaires and recorded interviews allowed us to appreciate the universality of textual genres, a quality which enabled the Korean students to create a relationship with the scriptors of the French texts

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research explores the literary corpora used in the context of the teaching of French as a foreign language from the point of view of formats and variation in text scales. The primacy of complete work and the condemnation of the chosen text extracts are analysed through a historical approach that sheds lights on the instability of the values given to the extract or long reading in the context of teaching. The analysis of out of context2French editorial corpora highlights that formats come from a dual heritage: chosen excerpts and authentic documents. Extraction obeys two matrices, classicisation, which responds to acceptability constraints, and standardisation, which responds to accessibility constraints. Extraction follows a double continuum organised around two axes, identity/transformation, and opacity/transparency. The link to the work is mostly forgotten. The corpora produced by teachers, once contextualised, present more flexible, idiosyncratic features, taking into account the scales of texts and their reception. Through a comparative study, we observe the effects of text formats on their reception by allophone readers: text extracts enable a restitution of the microstructural scale, integral readings without support create a partial reading with recomposition of the macrostructure and adapted readings allow a fictional immersion that plays all the scales of the reader. We offer, for the training of future teachers, didactics of the variation of scales that take into account the effects of formats on the reception of texts by learners

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis PhD thesis consists in jointly analyzing eye-tracking signals and multi-channel electroencephalograms (EEGs) acquired concomitantly on participants doing an information collection reading task in order to take a binary decision - is the text related to some topic or not ? Textual information search is not a homogeneous process in time - neither on a cognitive point of view, nor in terms of eye-movement. On the contrary, this process involves several steps or phases, such as normal reading, scanning, careful reading - in terms of oculometry - and creation and rejection of hypotheses, confirmation and decision - in cognitive terms. In a first contribution, we discuss an analysis method based on hidden semi-Markov chains on the eye-tracking signals in order to highlight four interpretable phases in terms of information acquisition strategy: normal reading, fast reading, careful reading, and decision making. In a second contribution, we link these phases with characteristic changes of both EEGs signals and textual information. By using a wavelet representation of EEGs, this analysis reveals variance and correlation changes of the inter-channels coefficients, according to the phases and the bandwidth. And by using word embedding methods, we link the evolution of semantic similarity to the topic throughout the text with strategy changes. In a third contribution, we present a new model where EEGs are directly integrated as output variables in order to reduce the state uncertainty. This novel approach also takes into consideration the asynchronous and heterogeneous aspects of the data

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe study of the fundamental building blocks of matter necessitates always more powerful accelerators. New particles are produced in high energy collisions of protons or electrons. The by-Products of these collisions are detected in large apparatus surrounding the interaction point. The 125 GeV Higgs particle discovered at LHC will be studied in detail in the next e⁺e⁻ collider. The leading project for this is called ILC. The team that I joined is working on the R&D for a Time Projection Chamber (TPC) to detect the charged tracks by the ionization they leave in a gas volume, optimised for use at ILC. This primary ionization is amplified by the so-Called Micromegas device, with a charge-Sharing anode made of a resistive-Capacitive coating. After a presentation of the physics motivation for the ILC and ILD detector, I will review the principle of operation of a TPC (Chapter 2) and underline the advantages of the Micromegas readout with charge sharing. The main part of this PhD work concerns the detailed study of up to 12 prototypes of various kinds. The modules and their readout electronics are described in Chapter 3. A test-Bench setup has been assembled at CERN (Chapter 4) to study the response to a ⁵⁵Fe source, allowing an energy calibration and a uniformity study. In Chapter 5, the ion backflow is studied using a bulk Micromegas and the gas gain is measured using a calibrated electronics chain. With the same setup, the electron transparency is measured as a function of the field ratio (drift/amplification). Also, several beam tests have been carried out at DESY with a 5 GeV electron beam in a 1 T superconducting magnet. These beam tests allowed the detailed study of the spatial resolution. In the final test, the endplate was equipped with seven modules, bringing sensitivity to misalignment and distortions. Such a study required software developments (Chapter 6) to make optimal use of the charge sharing and to reconstruct multiple tracks through several modules with a Kalman filter algorithm. The results of these studies are given in Chapter 7. The TPC technique has been applied to neutron imaging in collaboration with the University of Lanzhou. A test using a neutron source has been carried out in China. The results are reported in Chapter 8

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe written trace of French lesson is usually defined as the piece of writing kept in pupils' copy books. Our research is about what the teacher does, seeks to and renounces to do regarding the written trace of the class work, at the very frontier between elementary school and middle school (year 6 and year 7 in UK). From the notions of trace and writing, we define school written trace through its production, its reception and its functions. We refer to a composite theoretical framework which underlies the study of professional teaching activity. We study the practices regarding the written trace from the perspective of the teaching activity, of the teacher's writing, of the teaching practices and the didactical activity. We use the dialogism integrator concept (Bakhtine, 1979) wich is the base of three scientific fields : the analysis of the professional activity, of the writing activity and of the didactical activity. We observed and recorded twelve reading lessons, followed by simple auto-confrontation interviews. The study of the genesis of the written trace produced in class, supported by the study of its elaboration before and during the class allows to conclude there is a reading lesson written trace didactical activity type. This promossingly result the didactical consideration of the written trace

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleHow does anyone teaching French take up reading a text written by a secondary school pupil? What are the questions involved in the very peculiar role that has been handed down to him and which compels him to hesitate between two attitudes: the reader’s and the examiner’s. The presented research studies the tension between these two behaviours, tension which lies in the depths of one of the secondary school French teacher’s regular activities: marking fictional essays written by pupils. The analysis is interested in the “traces of correction”, that is to say the teacher’s comments and his re-writing of the pupil’s texts. The experimental devices implemented thus enable us to suggest a typology of the examiner’s behaviours and try to understand some characteristics of the text expected by a teacher in response to a writing instruction. In the end, it is a question of getting to know better what a specific professional task consists in – a task in which subjectivity and standards are implemented but in which most of the time they remain implicit
