Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis study aims to analyze problems that involve representation and preservation of the face in dialogues of a written theatre text. For the development of this research, we selected the text Toda nudez será castigada, written by Nelson Rodrigues. We started from a theoretical reference that is based, mainly, on Conversation Analysis and Interactional Sociolinguistics. This way, we are going to present some theory on oral language in written language that has to be taken into account (cf. Preti, 2004 and Urbano, 2000). The research material analysis showed that the characters representation varies according to their interactants and to the situation that they are put in. We identified that this change in representation is a social image preservation act (face preservation). However, from our analysis, we could find out that these changes in representation are not a warranty that the speaker s face can be preserved. We also presented some situations that the character s dialogue showed different attempts to preserve the face, situations that changes in representation were not analyzed

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe objective of this dissertation is to recognize the concept of the tragic and the literary role in theatrical script of Toda nudez será castigada (1965), by the Brazilian playwright Nelson Rodrigues. It is intended to characterize the scripted text from the uniqueness of the word to the three-dimensionality of the performance of the word theater, covering many arts in staging: the dialogue, song, dance, music, painting, lighting, etc. In the multiplicity of the scene, we highlight the character and his dialogic speech to achieve the reading of the state of the dramatic hybris, combining actor and spectator by catharsis of passions. Following the thesis Sabato Magaldi (1962), we set the comparison between the tragedy of Racine and the one of Nelson Rodrigues, showing the tragic axis, between reason and passion, the intrigue of the characters in an act of interpretive and analytical approach between the classical and the modern. The difference between both is recognized by the "way" the director leads passion by mediating the dialog of the characters and by mirroring the tragic model of Phèdre of Racine. The recognition achieved by means of dialog has provided a methodological support and reconceptualization of the word rectified on the border of literary language and the performing language of the modern tragic drama of Rodrigues

This research intend to relate gender and communication from the perspective of feminist performances supported by the use of the naked body of women in actions of social activism, linked or generated in the internet environment and that propose a discussion conserning the violence against women. The work starts from the understanding that the use of the body in these actions of activism or social mobilization generate differentiated flows communication and construct different senses that reflect and are reflected in the cultural processes of the society. In this way, the research searches, through a cartographic experience, to map actions with the use of the naked body of the woman by feminist movements or activists and that found in the internet the space of expansion and dissemination of these actions, revealing the senses that emerge from these performances. The object here is understood as object/process, because the actions have multiple shades, intensities and reliefs, being something in constant movement. The methodology consists, besides the cartography, the focal groups realization, that allowed a more accurate perception of the object/process in online and offline dimensions. The theoretical maps focused mainly on the studies of gender from the post structuralism view (Butler, Scott, Louro) and communication from the perspective of cultural studies, and with the challenge of thinking also from the materialities of communication (Gumbrecht), including discussions about body and performance. In addition, an approach to feminist movements and the current context of women in society make up the study. The results point to three main strands of constructed meanings, which are constantly crossed by issues related to women and historical guidelines of the feminist movement: 1) the shock of perfomance or nudity "out of context"; 2) the discussion about what belongs to the woman and 3) the effective social mobilization for the cause (my body, my rules!). It is possible to affirm that activism sees in these actions a way of dislocating or questioning the use of female nudity in advertising and consumption, attracting attention to the pattern of violence against women, and reinforcing affirmations about women as owners of their own bodies. In addition, it contributes to question the cultural issues marked by machismo and patriarchal heritage. On the other hand, some constructed senses point to the maintenance of the existing culture and discourses centered on norms and standards established for men and women.

This dissertation analyses if narcissism can be considered a contemporary sin and, therefore, creates a category of behavior. In order to answer central questions: who Nelson Rodrigues was and what the importance of his work is for a declining society, if narcissism can be considered a contemporary sin and if the reading of Rodrigues’ plays reveals us a miserable and misfortune human condition, leading us not to live narcissism as a contemporary sin. The hypothesis is while having clarity of the “life as it is”, of its own tragedy, the reading of Nelson Rodrigues’ plays - Álbum de família; Otto Lara Resende ou Bonitinha, mas ordinária; and Toda nudez será castigada – selected for this study, opens the possibility of leaving the suffering behind, and on that account, living with the courage to have a position free of identifications and thus, living a space of desire. The general objective or the background is to identify if in the subjectivity of the contemporary man, amid his anguishes, his peculiar way of acting and living could become a type of contemporary sin, or: “narcissism updated to the 21st century”. And also think that reading Nelson Rodrigues’ plays, there is a possibility of the man to have a life with less narcissistic identifications, freeing himself from such suffering. Three plays are analyzed and other texts can shed a light on a possible exit from this type of behavior. Nobody is free from narcissism, everybody needs a little bit of it to wake up and look in the mirror every day, not count one day less in one’s life, but: get up, work, live, eat, have fun, love, cry, fight. So, this narcissism makes us live our lives because what makes us dull is its excess, the thing that goes with you, without limits, to an abyss without name nor place
