The first has as objective to find, based on Freud beddings and retaken by Lacan, a better comprehension on anguish, fantasy and body in its relation with cardiac surgical patients. Along the study, we evidenced the fantasy importance as a way to contain the anguish in patients in surgical situation. It was also standed out the body and corporal image issue, since these patients are submitted to aggressive and invasive procedures and have his/her body manipulated by a medical staff. Some currency surveys that show some relevant questions upon the subject are shown. However, we noticed that there are few studies that use the psychoanalytical reference as a way to integrate the psychoanalysis concepts with heart surgery. In the second paper we tried to register the cardiopath patients narratives upon the surgical intervention in a hospital internment situation. This understanding was based in semi-directed interviews with the patients and on patients’ groups’ observation in pre and post cardiac surgery. Some elements were standed out in this research: the pre-surgery period, the relation between religiosity and medicine, symptoms and fantasies, the hospitalization and the dependency felling, the post surgery period and the Post- Surgery Unit and the body manipulation and anesthesia.<br>Foram elaborados dois artigos para a composição dessa dissertação de mestrado. O primeiro tem como objetivo buscar, a partir dos fundamentos desenvolvidos por Freud e retomados por Lacan, uma maior compreensão dos conceitos de angústia, fantasia e corpo em sua relação com pacientes cardíacos cirúrgicos. Evidenciamos, ao longo deste trabalho, a importância da função das fantasias como forma de conter a angústia dos pacientes em situação cirúrgica. Destacamos também a questão do corpo e a imagem corporal, visto que esses pacientes são submetidos a procedimentos agressivos e invasivos e têm seu corpo manipulado por uma equipe médica. São apresentadas algumas pesquisas atuais que mostram algumas questões relevantes sobre o tema. Entretanto, percebemos que ainda existem poucos trabalhos que utilizam o referencial psicanalítico como uma tentativa de integrar conceitos da psicanálise com a cirurgia cardíaca. No segundo artigo procuramos registrar as narrativas de pacientes cardíacos sobre a intervenção cirúrgica em situação de internação hospitalar. Este entendimento ocorreu com base na realização de entrevistas semi-dirigidas com os pacientes e na observação dos grupos de pacientes no período pré e pós cirurgia cardíaca. Alguns elementos se destacaram nesta pesquisa: o período pré-cirúrgico, a relação entre religiosidade e medicina, sintomas e fantasias, a hospitalização e o sentimento de dependência, o período pós-cirúrgico e a Unidade Pós Operatória e a manipulação do corpo e anestesia.

Opera fantasias have been denigrated as insufficiently intellectual or serious, as derivative, as merely popular or sentimental. However, many of the perceived flaws were, if not hallmarks, at least accepted realities of Italian opera composing. Like opera itself, the opera fantasia is a popular art form, stylistically predictable yet formally flexible, based heavily on past operatic tradition and prefabricated materials. I approach opera fantasias, instrumental works that use themes from a single opera as the body of their virtuosic and flamboyant material, both historically and theoretically, concentrating on compositions written for and by woodwind-instrument performers in Italy in the second half of the nineteenth century. Important overlapping strands in my theoretical framework include the concept of virtuosity and its gradual demonization, the strong gendered overtones of individual woodwind instruments and of virtuosity, the distinct Italian context of these fantasias, the presentation and alteration of opera narratives in opera fantasias, and the technical and social development of woodwind instruments. I have uncovered a large body of compositions and composers, many of whom have not been written about in English, through archival research in Milan, Naples, Parma, Bologna, and Palermo. This reveals trends in operas used for fantasias, temporally, spatially, and between instruments, as well as further trends in the use of specific melodies. I use contemporary reviews of performances and compositions to attest to the popularity of the opera fantasia throughout the second half of the nineteenth century in Italy, including oboist Antonio Pasculli as a case study. This often overlooked genre is intimately tied to the central canon and deeply connected to its social and musical contexts. Approaching the opera fantasia as a coherent and meaningful group of works clarifies a genre that has been consciously stifled and cultural resonances that still impact music reception and performance today.

O estudo foi totalmente conduzido através da Internet. Assim, construímos um questionário com 40 itens, que se podem agrupar em 3 temáticas: dados sócio-demográficos; actividade sexual geral (enfatizando a relação sexual e a actividade masturbatória); e fantasias sexuais. 517 sujeitos participaram no estudo (63,8% de mulheres e 36,2% de homens). Os dados realçam o papel fulcral das fantasias sexuais para uma vida sexual saudável e activa. Os resultados obtidos destacam as diferenças de géneros sugeridas pela literatura revista.<br>ABSTRACT: In this study we intend to analyse the gender differences regarding the frequency and content of sexual fantasies. This study is completely conducted via Internet. Therefore, we built a questionnaire with 40 items which can be classified into 3 themes: socio-demographic data, general sexual activity (emphasizing the sexual intercourse and masturbation); and the sexual fantasies. 517 subjects participated in this study (63,8% women and 36,2% men). The data highlight the crucial role of sexual fantasies for a healthy and active sexual life. The obtained results emphasize the differences in genders suggested by the literature reviewed.
