This diploma thesis is involved in possible development of different types of milling molds coated with modern plows. The first part is devoted to an analysis of contemporary trends in forms production technology. The analysis includes the different types of machines and tools for making various kinds of molds and dies. Another part deals with design of dies for sheet metal shears. The thesis continues by design of the production procedure after heat treatment and finishing die by miling. For milling of die are designed miling tools, the NC program and the possible development of manufacturing the die using a new machining center and the possibility of production optimization. The penultimate point of the thesis is technical and economical evaluation of the direction of development and comparison of positives and negatoves of each method. At the final evaluation is all summed up.

The diploma thesis deals with technological preparation of the production at a CNC machining center, equipped with FANUC control system. In cooperation with company AB KOMPONENTY s.r.o. has been used CAM software GibbsCAM and its extensions VoluMill. The first chapter is devoted to the basic properties of aluminum, aluminum alloys and their using in the industry. Furthermore, the chip foramtion in milling is analysed. The following is an analysis of trochoidal milling and research of CAM systems VoluMill and iMachining - systems based on a medium thickness of chip in rough milling opeartions. Next part deals with the design production process of the selected component, the choice of the blank and the processing of the control program with the VoluMill method for this component. The last chapter of the thesis is focused on the techno-economic evaluation for a given number of pieces and individual production technology.

The aim of this work is to find a suitable cutting tool and suitable cutting conditions for the production of hydrostatic surfaces of a crossmember with the quality of the surface structure of Ra 0.8 mm. The technology described in the thesis deals with finishing hydrostatic surfaces by milling, with the quality of the surface structure of Ra 0.8mm. As the production method cutting operations using CNC machines is used. To assure the quality of the surface insert tools are used, which are selected and evaluated based on experimental testing from six different suppliers. The technological process of production solves the problem of the hydrostatic surface production from the first gripping all the way to the final manufacture of the surfaces.

The choice of materials, components and tools will also be specified. Milling strategy will be designed with the PowerMill program. Two different methods of production will be compared. First one is the conventional machining on the FV 25 CNC vertical knee milling plant with the Heidenhain iTNC 530 controlling system. Where as the second one is the additive rapid prototypong technology with the usage of Fused Deposition Modeling method. The subject of my thesis is Design and optimisation of log rounding process. The aim of the work is to develop and explain the changes of the cutting tool parameters of a machine for logs rounding; experimental substantiation for the change of the cutter angle related to the axis of the workpiece. This paper deals with all kinds of wooden housing, from houses of solid wood to houses made of wood-based materials. The description of positive and negative characteristics of each type, including why a house made of logs is essentially different, its positive and negative sides. The paper examines all kinds of the logs rounding technology; the characteristics of their quality and energy consumption are presented. The experimental part of the work consists in the experiment planning and identifying of the factors that influence the rounding process. The way the cutter angle influences the surface roughness during the cylindering process was studied. The final stage of the work was to evaluate the results of the work, their relevance and the possibility to introduce the new equipment with the changed parameters of the cutting tool into production.

The diploma thesis deals with the design and production of an aluminum injection mold for investment casting. The work briefly describes the technology of investment casting together with a description of the types of molds, their internal arrangement and the most commonly used materials. Another part of the work is devoted to the analysis of aluminum molds machining. Emphasis was placed mainly on those operations, that will be used in production of mold. The practical part describes in detail the process of designing the model and mold, as well as the process of designing production technology. The construction is performed using the program SolidWorks, production technology using the program SolidCam. At the end of the work, the mold is assembled and the functionality of the mold is verified by means of test injection and economic evaluation is made.

This thesis discusses a change of an existing surface grinding technology for a more effective technology of face milling for the finishing operation of the jaw (for a hydraulic machine vise) in a tempered state with hardness of 53+4 HRC. The jaw is made of tool steel according to the Czech standard CSN41 9312. Two new versions are proposed for the new technology. Progressive cutting materials are listed for milling. A suitable tool is selected. Total production costs and machine times for cutting conditions of the chosen tool are predicted. In the experimental part, the cutting conditions are verified in practice.

This master's thesis deals with the manufacturing of a hunting crossbow prototype. The first part summarizes the history of crossbows, their historical development and usage. The following chapter contains theoretical knowladge about the technological methods that are used in the production. This is followed by a designing of the prototype, creating a technological process and final production. Final part of this thesis evaluates individual parts of the production and the final prototype.

Dissertation thesis is focused on development, design and production of the new milling cutter which is used for roughing operations. High-speed steels, coating technology and milling technology are described in first chapters of dissertation thesis. The main part of this thesis is the design of the new milling cutter that has been designed on the basis of the machining simulation. The milling cutter is designed as a three-flute cylindrical end mill made of high speed steel. The each flute is composed of two special compensation edges. The compensation edges are used for reducing (at best suppression) tensile stress in the heel of the tooth. The milling cutter was made by lost wax technology, followed by grinding and thermal treatment. New designed tools were deposited by PVD coatings (e.g. (Al,Ti)N). Standard catalog milling cutters (producer ZPS - milling tools, Zlín, Czech Republic) were used for comparison the designed milling cutter. Carbon steel CSN 41 2050 (DIN 1.1191) was used for milling, which was carried out with using process liquid. The monitored parameters were force loading, flank wear and tensile stress during milling. The dynamometer Kistler was used for measuring force loading and data obtained during machining was used for stress analysis.

The introductory section of the thesis covers tasks of milling head spindle and required properties. Also includes overview of most-known types of heat and chemical treatment and milling head spindle production technology process proposal, which presents in more detail nitrocarburizing process called ARCOR V. Experimental part of the thesis gives consideration as well to the liquid salt bath nitrocarburizing application on different material samples and assessment of nitrocarburized material for this heat treatment process. The result of the thesis is spindle production technology process description with application of nitrocarburizing ARCOR V and also determination of suitability of selected materials for this surface treatment method and it’s practical applications.

Diploma work describes speed drill steels and its qualities before and after coating by methods PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition). The theoretic part is concerned with thermic processing of speed drill steels and their qualities with regard to individual alloying elements contained and its mechanical features. Second part of the theoretic part is concerned with particular methods of coating by the help of PVD technologies, kinds of coating with regard to additional elements and their qualities and surface treatments of coated material before and after its coating. The goal of the experimental part was the confrontation of cutting power features of cylindrical four-fluted face mills with straight shank, from speed drill steels non-coated and coated in two basic modes of milling – down-feed method and upfeed method. The results of measurements were interpreted by the help of four basic pictures (source values, power analysis, specific values). The result of all the experiment is that the application of PVD coatings enabled the increasing of cutting speed (with preservation of other cutting requirements) and led to decreasing of cutting force and cutting enforcements and extended durability of cutters.

This thesis compares the properties of four types of replaceable cutting tool inserts from different suppliers during milling. The comparative factors are cutting force, material loss of the insert and the roughness of the resulting surface. The thesis is divided into two parts - a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge and an experiment. The first part analyzes the load, the possibility of its measurement, surface treatment of tools, milling cutters and replaceable inserts. The experiment took the form of measuring the load during face milling, measuring the surface roughness of the machined material and measuring the material loss of the inserts on an optical strain gauge. The replaceable cutting tool inserts were compared based on the performed measurements.

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of machining technologies (turning, milling, grinding and polishing) on the surface texture of functional surfaces of selected materials from technical plastics.
