Objective: Swearing deserves attention in the physical therapy setting due to its potential positive psychological, physiological, and social effects. The purpose of this case series is to describe 2 cases in which a physical therapist swears in the clinical setting and its effect on therapeutic alliance.Patients: Case 1 is a 19-year-old male treated for a hamstring strain, and case 2 is a 23-year-old male treated post-operatively for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. The physical therapist utilized social swearing in the clinic with the goal of motivating the patient and enhancing the social connection with the patient, to improve therapeutic alliance. Results: The patient in case 1 reported a decrease in therapeutic alliance after the physical therapist began swearing during physical therapy treatments, whereas the patient in case 2 reported an increase in therapeutic alliance. Both patients disagreed that physical therapist swearing is unprofessional and disagreed that swearing is offensive, and both patients agreed physical therapists should be able to swear around their patients. Conclusion: Physical therapist swearing may have positive and negative influences in the clinic setting and may not be considered unprofessional. These are, to our knowledge, the first published cases of a physical therapist swearing in the clinical setting. LAY ABSTRACTSwearing produces positive effects that cannot be achieved with any other forms of language. Quite simply, swearing is powerful and deserves attention in the physical therapy setting. Swearing can lead to tighter human bonds, thereby enhancing the social connection between a patient and a physical therapist. This case series describes 2 cases where a physical therapist swears with patients in the clinical setting and its effect on their social connection. While swearing increased the social connection in 1 case, it decreased it in the other case. None of the patients thought that physical therapist swearing was unprofessional, and both patients believe physical therapists should be able to swear around their patients. The results of these cases indicate that physical therapist swearing can have positive and negative influences in the clinic. More studies are needed to help determine when, how, and if to swear in the physical therapy setting.

Annotation:
Job's bitterness arises as raw grief and bewilderment over the calamity that has befallen him. But under the press of the argument with his friends, which increasingly frames itself within the logic of reward and punishment and employs the imagery of a trial with its accusations and protestations of innocence, he falls into moral bitterness, a sense of outrage over the injustice done to him. When he finally swears an oath of innocence, this act, as often observed, unmasks the inadequacy of the courtroom imagery; for the God before whom he swears his innocence is at the same time the God whom he takes to be his accuser. I argue that this act shows Job reaching down to a sense of God experientially prior to and deeper than his sense of God as law-giver and judge. For he swears in the name of Shadday, giver of conception, birth and nurture. In this sense he may be said to appeal, in an elemental trust deeper in him than his moral bitterness, from God as judge to God as divine parent. The divine speeches come as a vindication of his trust, renewing his appetite for life in a world presented to him as a theater of manifold generative liveliness, dangerous but utterly worthwhile. Thus his personal struggle for the last truth about God ends with his discovery of the truth he had already encountered at the very beginning of his life. Reaching that last truth—or, rather, being reached by it—he resembles a tree which, though cut down, buds and puts forth branches like a young plant at the scent of water (14:7-9).

Swear words and their role in advertising have been debated for a long time. There has been a general sentiment that the use of swear words should be avoided in ads so they would not appear crass or offensive. Does this sentiment still reflect reality or could swear words be used to good effect in advertising? The aim of the present study is to find out how a number of informants react to the presence of swear words in advertisements, and what their general attitude toward swearing is. An online survey with 54 respondents provided quantitative data, and two group interviews supplemented it with more qualitative information. The study shows that respondents reacted favourably towards adverts with swear words as long as they were not too offensive.

Relationship marketing is widely discussed in the fields of industry goods and services. Also, the theme of marketing to children owns an important part within the existing literature in the marketing field. Nevertheless, there is a lack of literature for relationship marketing in consumer markets towards children. But especially in consumer markets there are certain products, which accompany consumer during their whole life. Brand preferences and loyalty towards certain products are not unusual among consumer and often evolve in early ages. Hence, it seems to be reasonable that companies try to attract children within their marketing activities in order to acquire and keep these children as customer. Since candies and chocolate are everyday products, which are consumed irrespective of age, especially the sweets industry presented an interesting sample for our research.

The purpose of this dissertation was to investigate in which way companies in the sweets industry use relationship marketing to children or perhaps do not use a certain approach at all. Our dissertation was based upon a qualitative method. We conducted semi-structured interviews with sweets companies and marketing agencies, which worked in the field of advertisements for sweets.

When companies want to reach children as consumer it is necessary to approach not only the child itself but also its influence groups. Moreover, companies need to consider that marketing towards children requires certain children-friendly tools and approaches. Amongst others present incentives an often used way to establish customer loyalty. Since children start to be early responsive to marketing activities, companies can benefit when they are approaching children as soon as they start to participate (actively or passively) in the buying process. Nevertheless, due to the low-involvement characteristics of sweets products the degree of binding seems to be lower than for products that require high investments. Therefore, the focus of sweets companies remain the establishment of awareness and attraction amongst children. However, since the discussions are increasing if marketing to children is ethical, the focus of companies seem to be shifting more and more away from the target group children, in order to avoid confrontation with the public discussion. This leaves doubt about the future perspectives of our research field.

Lantmäteriet, The Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of SWEPOS and SWEREF99 (the Swedish official reference frame) and there-fore also responsible for control and verification of the data provided by the reference stations.Clas-Göran Persson at Lantmäteriet has created a new controlling procedure, including software, to analyze the position uncertainties of the SWEPOS stations using various statistical methods. The soft-ware evaluates the daily calculated coordinate data of the stations subsequently; it will not be installed directly on the actual stations. The primary goal is to study the stability of SWEPOS from a SWEREF 99 point of view, not to analyze SWEPOS real-time service. The controlling procedure is referred to as “the CGP Program”.The CGP Program is a toolbox of statistical methods created in MATLAB, determining standard devia-tion, correlation, distribution (outliers) and more. Its main purpose is to determine if the SWEPOS data consists of uniform uncorrelated normal distributed deviations, known as white noise, or not.The purpose of my Thesis is to; based on this new controlling procedure, create a graphical overview of the current status of the SWEPOS network for Lantmäteriet. Instead of making a thorough analysis of each station the maps created in this Thesis will visualize the outcome on an overall basis and identify the stations and areas of interest for further analysis.Together with representatives from Lantmäteriet we decided that three different map types where of interest. All the maps were to be based on SWEPOS data from 2010, analyzed by the CGP program, and visualized on a nationwide basis. They differ in their cartographic appearance and they all describe dif-ferent characteristics of the SWEPOS stations. Conclusions from the maps and the numerical analyzes: * There is a clear "winter effect", most obvious in the height coordinate. Removal of the snow-period results in lower standard deviations and fewer unwanted systematic effects. * The Northing coordinate has a slightly higher standard deviation than the Easting coordinate. The standard deviation in Height is around 50% larger than the horizontal standard deviation. * There is no evidence for physical movements, when comparing the official SWEREF 99 coordinates with the 2010 positions.

Annotation:
Sound sources are designed to provide subsea tracking and re‐location of RAFOS floats and other Lagrangian drifters listening at 260Hz. More recently sweeps have been added to support FishChip tracking at 262Hz. These sources must be tuned to the water properties where they are to be deployed as they have a fairly narrow bandwidth. The high‐Q resonator’s bandwidth is about 4Hz. This report documents the tuning, and provides an overview of the sound source assembly.
