There is a significant increase in society's interest in the realization of human intellectual, personal and creative potential as the main source of achievements, which is the basis for the progressive formation of a high-tech society. The achievements of adolescents and young people in education are the potential of the nation and determine the competitiveness required for the further progress and formation of society. Different motivations are applied during vocational training. Among them, cognitive, professional motives, motives for creative achievement, motives for status development, motives for self-realization and material motives have a significant place. One of the main tasks of modernizing the activities of current education, teachers, and school psychological services is to form a student who actively and independently acquires social knowledge, understands the importance of education and self-knowledge for their future life. As a subject of education, the learner is able to selectively and independently set actual and long-term goals, direct and support his activities, organize and also manage educational activities. Key words: self-analysis, self-regulation, education, motivation, purpose, result, vocational training, new educational standards

ABSTRACTIn 1977, a bilingual education project began in rural areas of Puno, Peru, as a direct result of Peru's 1972 Education Reform. This paper presents results of an ethnographic and sociolinguistic study comparing Quechua language use and maintenance between: 1) a bilingual education school and community, and 2) a nonbilingual education school and community. Classroom observation indicated a significant change in teacher–pupil language use and an improvement in pupil participation in the bilingual education school. Community observation and interviews indicated that community members both valued and used their language. Yet the project has had difficulties expanding or even maintaining its implementation. Online education has grown exponentially over the last few decades, churning through a swarm of acronyms, ambiguities and potentialities. Substantial energy has been invested in producing technology, building academic capability, and understanding learners and markets. Though it feels pervasive, online education is comparatively new in the scheme of higher education, and key education and business models remain in formation. To spur advance, this paper argues that as online education matures increasing energy must shift from supplier-centric concerns about provision to instead ensuring learner value and success. We argue that online education presents new opportunities not just for the mechanics of higher education, but for improving each student’s experience and outcomes. Central to such advance is a clear picture of student success, cogent perspectives for understanding students, effective strategies for analysing and interpreting huge volumes of data, and more evidence-based academic leadership. The paper investigates each of these areas, provoking an agenda to guide further student and institutional achievement.

Social work education accreditation standards have recently shifted from objective-based standards to a competency-based approach. One distinguishing characteristic of a competency-based curriculum is a focus on competence or mastery of a specific set of capabilities. In response to these changes, accredited social work programs are reorganizing curriculum and assessment plans. This article provides background information on competency-based education; curriculum mapping; and direct assessment. Additionally, the article outlines an example of the process of aligning teaching and assessment to program-level competencies with respect to the Council on Social Work Education's Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards. A discussion and tools such as maps and rubrics that can help provide direction and consistency to faculty efforts in teaching and assessing also are included.
