Background: Service and combat activities of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carried out in difficult political, economic and socio-cultural conditions. Purpose: To summarize traditional problems and current scientific approaches in the study of socio-cultural factors of security and defense activities; to clarify the modern content of the concepts: “moral and psychological support”, “psychological support”, “work with the personnel”. Materials and Methods: The research methodology is based on the theoretical analysis of special psychological and pedagogical literature, the study and generalization of practical experience. Results: A comprehensive analysis of the socio-cultural foundations of the security and defense of the state has been carried out. The features and limitations of the official regulation of the activities of officials and control bodies for the moral and psychological support of the training and use of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were revealed. The modern content of the concepts: “moral and psychological support”, “psychological support”, “work with the personnel” was clarified and defined. Conclusions: There is a need for an interdisciplinary approach to clarify the terminology used in the regulations governing the procedure for moral and psychological support. We consider moral support, psychological support and social work to be the key components of moral and psychological support.

The paper reveals essential characteristics of military personnel adaptation to the conditions of service in the army. The author believes that to understand the essence of adaptation it is necessary to understand modified, stressful living conditions and activities causing the inclusion of physiological, psychological, and physical functional reserves of the organism, some problems of adaptation: the relationship between commanders and soldiers, the relationship between the older soldiers and recruits, the commanders of insubordination, aggressive behavior, defiant behavior and factors of maladjustment: the low stress resistance of the organism, physiological reserves, poor physical fitness, lack of personal and psychological potential, non-acceptance of new rules and conditions of life, low training and combat training, unformed value-semantic orientation. A sociological study revealed the following problems of socio-psychological adaptation: insufficient psycho-pedagogical competence of commanders in matters of socio-psychological adaptation; a lack of specialists of social work; a lack of individual psychological assistance to servicemen who have difficulties of adaptation; a lack of the programme of adaptation work; insufficient development of individual methods, techniques and technologies of work; a lack of analysis of work; insufficient work with the team. The author sees the prospect of the research in the development of methods and techniques that can help to successfully support military personnel during their adaptation.

The article describes the main directions and reveals the content of psychological work in the bodies of internal affairs which is continuously implemented at each stage of staff performance. Among the leading areas of activity of psychologists are the following: professional psychological selection of candidates for service; psychological diagnosis of employees in the course of support of official activity; the study of the socio-psychological climate in the collectives and the moral and psychological state of the personnel; carrying out special psychophysiological studies using a polygraph; adaptation of young employees; professional psychological training of personnel; psychological prevention and correction of negative psychoemotional states; psychological counseling of personal, family and professional problems of employees. Taking into account the described state of the departmental psychological service, the prospective directions of its development are outlined, and the need to implement a systemic, integrated approach when solving problems related to the psychological maintenance of staff performance is emphasized.

The development of the Institute of public service is connected, fi rst of all, with the improvement of its personnel policy, the fi ght against corruption, the introduction of ethical standards and technologies for managing the career of employees. These problems are the most signifi cant limitations of socio-economic and political development of the state and their solution should pay considerable attention to the socio-psychological well-being and climate of the employees of public authorities in order to minimize the negative eff ects of psychological support for their professional activities. In order to determine the specifi cs of the formation of socio-psychological climate in public authorities, whose employees should be focused on solving signifi cant problems of state construction, the authors conducted a study in the Federal service for fi nancial monitoring of the Russian Federation. By applying the test “Pulsar”, the test of the “Integral job satisfaction”, by A.V. Batashevy, the observation method and personal interview by the authors has been partially refuted the hypothesis that the rigid formalization of the activities of public servants, including the regimentation of action, the pressure of the authorities, routine and emphasis on discipline and high level of personal responsibility, is a dominant factor disturbing the socio-psychological climate in state government. The study revealed that socio-psychological climate in the team of a public authority can be described as favorable and unstable. A team of employees — quite a mature group, able to perform a production job, despite the rather widespread phenomenon: “staff turnover”. According to the results of the tests, the authors characterize a modern civil servant as an effective, purposeful, energetic, constantly increasing his level of knowledge, interested in effective work, which is contrary to the image of a public servant who is tired in society.

This article examines the main problems associated with the motivation of personnel in small businesses. Along with that, an analysis of the activities of the small enterprise OOO (LLC) IE "Tokomet" is carried out, the current system of motivation is investigated, the main problems are identified by conducting a survey of the company’s employees and recommendations are offered for solving these problems.

It has been noted that official activities of the employees of the State Penitentiary Service (SPS) of Ukraine is directly related to the presence of a significant number of stressful factors and requires the comprehensive use of psychological tools and technologies. This affects the efficiency of professional activities of the specialists within penitentiary sphere. Taking into account the special conditions of professional activity of the employees of the SPS of Ukraine, the author has distinguished the main directions of the system of psychological support of professional activity of the employees of the SPS of Ukraine. The author has analyzed the following directions of the system of psychological support of professional activity of the employees of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine: professional psychological selection, psychological support of professional activity, professional psychological training of personnel and provision of recommendations to the management board. The author has distinguished the following tasks of the professional psychological selection of the employees for the SPS of Ukraine: assistance to citizens in choosing a particular specialty through professional counseling on the basis of studying individual and psychological characteristics and professional interests of future employees; determining the degree of conformity (inconsistency) of psychological data of a candidate or training the requirements of a specialty; the development of propositions for the rational allocation of employees to primary positions, etc. It has been noted that psychological support of the service of the personnel of the SPS of Ukraine envisages: monitoring of the socio-psychological climate within the staff and its maintenance at the proper level; psychodiagnostics of the personnel; correction of a personality, taking into account the results obtained during psychodiagnostics; provision of recommendations for the management board on deployment of personnel taking into account the results of psychodiagnostics; primary psychological prevention among penitentiary staff, etc. The professional psychological training of the employees of the SPS of Ukraine is considered as a purposeful process for the formation and development of personal qualities and traits of specialists that would meet the requirements of their professional activities.

The social institutions of punishment and release have been studied. The essence of the release as the process of completing the influence on the convicted person with the purpose of his return to social and normative life in society has been revealed. The spectrum of problems of preparing convicts for the release has been outlined. The authors have specified the weaknesses of the current state program for preparing convicts for the release. In order to reveal the peculiarities of the indicators of socio-psychological readiness of convicts for the release (cognition, emotion, reflection) and to identify the specifics of their tendencies towards further self-directed obedient behavior after being released, the authors have presented generalized results of the empirical study carried out with the help of the authors’ questionnaire “Socio-psychological readiness of convicts for the release”. The research was implemented on the basis of state institutions of the penal system, namely, in the correctional colonies of the Central-West Interregional Department for the execution of criminal penalties and probation of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. 118 male respondents aged 20 to 55 years sentenced under the Articles 121, 122, 115, 185, 186, 187, 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, who had less than 6 months left before the release, participated in the study. The authors have emphasized on the expediency of developing a program for preparing convicts for the release, taking into account indicators of socio-psychological readiness, and on the objective need for professional training of personnel of penitentiary agencies and institutions that will carry out socio-psychological support of convicts who have less than 6 months left until their release.

The subject of this research is the social work with military personnel, while the object is the socio-psychological adaptation of young soldiers. This article demonstrates the problems of adaptation of military personnel to the conditions of army. Special attention is given to socio-psychological problems of adaptation of the participants of military operations, which should be solved on the state level, as well as to the development of new social policy with regards for military personnel and their families. It is underlined that is an immensely serious, psychologically difficult process that requires scientific approaches, high level of competence of the persons performing such activity, and elaboration of the new normative legal framework that can meet the demands for their professional training. Taking into account the key aspects and techniques of social work on adaptation of military personnel, theoretical and methodological research on the topic, the author comes to the conclusion that a wide range of activities requires better professional training of the people involved, and it should be provided in the higher education institutions with the specialization in “Social Work”. Such activity should be conducted on the state level, as it implies the development of a new normative legal framework that regulates the introduction of social services into military units, as well as the organization of training of military personnel within the system of education of social workers that incorporates research and implementation of new social work techniques with regards to military personnel.

It has been stated that violent crime of military personnel is conditioned both by general determinants for the whole crime and by special criminogenic factors. The author of the article has highlighted the main determinants of such crime in details. They traditionally include the following determinants: economic, political, ideological, cultural, national, socio-biological, socio-psychological, organizational and administrative, legal, etc. Their specific features, causes, consequences and mutual influence at the present stage of Ukraine’s development have been determined; and certain ways of improving the situation have been specified. Particular attention has been paid to determinants of violent crimes committed by military personnel during combat operations. The author has indicated on predominance of the socio-psychological nature of crimes in such conditions and the prevalence of certain manifestations of post-traumatic stress disorders among the participants of hostilities in Eastern Ukraine; the author has noted that such disorders have recently been identified by psychologists as “ATO syndrome”. The author has expressed opinion that commission of violent, lucrative and violent crimes by military personnel during combat operations is in many cases a consequence of the influence of specific social and psychological determinants, where researchers name: weakening of social control factors; exacerbation of problems of meeting the needs for existence; increasing the level of nervousness of the population, increasing the conflict level in interpersonal relationships; weakening the morality, etc. It has been emphasized that the elimination of these criminogenic determinants should be a priority in the prevention of violent crimes by military personnel.

Purpose: analysis and assessment of the motivational component of the labor process of highly qualified specialists. Materials and methods: distribution of motivation factors (value orientation) according to the needs pyramid of A. Maslow, questionnaire surveys on the degree of satisfaction with labor, comparison of the rates of change in labor productivity with changes in the average wage, processing of the results of the study using descriptive statistics. Results. The relationship between the main elements of the personnel incentive structure and the actual driving motives is shown. Conclusions. It was revealed that the most problematic point that employees are worried about is the lack of assessment of achievements: lack of socio-psychological motivation, expressed in the lack of a favorable psychological climate in the team, in the absence of a policy of rewards for quality work, in the absence of team spirit. Possible recommendations for improving the motivational component of the labor process are formulated.

Introduction. The article studies the processes of formation and implication of the personnel of the enterprise in terms of labor market development. The recommendations for improving the formation of the personnel as a factor in improving the efficiency of activities are developed. Goal. Study of processes of formation and efficiency of implication of the personnel of the enterprise in the conditions of development of the labor market, as well as development of recommendations on improvement of formation of the personnel of the organization as the factor to increase the efficiency of its activity. Results. The peculiarities of the personnel formation and implication the LLC «Pearl of Podillya» have been revealed, in particular, the open personnel policy of the LLC indicates the transparency of the enterprise for potential employees of any level. More than 30% of the employees are under 40years of age and have the appropriate professional knowledge and skills. Disappointing trends in the dynamics of the number of employees of the LLC (the annual decrease in the number of employees, which is reflected in the increase of fluctuation on dismissal (30% in mid –2020), decrease in fluctuation on admission – 35%) are pointed at. The article emphasizes that combination of economic and social perspectives must be taken into account when improving the personnel management system at a limited liability company. It is proposed to take into account the experience of other countries and successful companies in the sphere of personnel development. However, copying foreign methods of work with staff without taking into account the characteristics of Ukrainian enterprises can have a significant negative effects – both economic and psychological, because in the work with people the mentality, traditions, features of the spiritual and socio-economic environment in which individuals grew and formed are of great importance. The recommendations, proposals and measures have been developed to improve the problem of raising the efficiency of the organization in the sphere of formation and implication of the personnel.

The article investigates the problem of the management crisis caused by the low efficiency of management personnel in the conditions of economic crisis. The system of management methods is dominated by administrative methods to the detriment of economic and socio-psychological ones. The purpose of the study is to find ways to solve the crisis and improve the efficiency of management personnel. The objectives of the research are to develop approaches to the professional development of personnel and the transformation of the system of labor relations based on the principles of trust management. The study of agency conflict in the management system of organizations was carried out on the basis of desk research, surveys of managers and employees of the management system. The tactical and strategic solutions to improve the management system in organizations have been proposed. The authors conclude that the risk of causing the greatest damage to the management system is associated with the problem of trust. The main principle of management should be the trust of the staff to their managers and their integration into management processes at least at the level of management of the main production business processes. The study reveals the lack of growth of social skills of managers, for whom employees are not partners, but employees-opportunists. According to the authors, it is necessary to unite employees, give them a common goal and make them members of a single team.

AbstractBackgroundThis observational study examined return to duty (RTD) rates following receipt of early mental health interventions delivered by deployed mental health practitioners.MethodIn-depth clinical interviews were conducted among 975 UK military personnel referred for mental health assessment whilst deployed in Afghanistan. Socio-demographic, military, operational, clinical and therapy outcomes were recorded in an electronic health record database. Rates and predictors of EVAC were the main outcomes examined using adjusted binary logistic regression analyses.ResultsOverall 74.8% (n = 729) of personnel RTD on completion of care. Of those that underwent evacuation home (n = 246), 69.1% (n = 170) returned by aeromedical evacuation; the remainder returned home using routine air transport. Predictors of evacuation included; inability to adjust to the operational environment, family psychiatric history, previously experiencing trauma and thinking about or carrying out acts of deliberate self-harm.ConclusionDeployed mental health practitioners helped to facilitate RTD for three quarters of mental health casualties who consulted with them during deployment; psychological rather than combat-related factors predicted evacuation home.

The key objective of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is law enforcement within the country. Therefore, studying the problems of improving the professional development of managerial personnel in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia requires a thorough study. This article focuses on the psychological and educational basis of the process, which, in the authors' opinion, is one of the research priorities. Methods used: the California CPI personality questionnaire (a methodology adapted for working with senior personnel of the Internal Affairs bodies) which allows to identify the socio-psychological potential of an officer and his individual components - personality traits contributing to socially significant achievements [1]. It is important to note that the problem of managerial potential in the internal affairs bodies is still under development. Consequently, the topic of the study remains very relevant as well as not entirely worked out.

The purpose of the paper is to summarize scientific approaches to the definition of the content of the concept of "personnel policy"; determine the types of personnel policy and peculiarities of the state personnel policy and personnel policy in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The analysis of problems of formation of the state personnel policy in law-enforcement bodies is made, since the security of the state depends on the quality of personnel potential. Novelty is the author's definition of the concept of "personnel policy in the State Border Guard Service" in the broad sense is a complex of legal, organizational and managerial decisions and socio-psychological measures aimed at the formation of the necessary human resources and ensuring their effective work on solving tasks entrusted to the SBGS. In the narrow sense, we propose to understand the personnel policy of the State Tax Administration in the form of a complex of adopted state decisions regarding the provision of SBGS by highly skilled specialists through the implementation of a set of scientifically based methods of work with personnel. The practical significance of the research results is that they can become the basis for further scientific and theoretical research of personnel policy.

Annotation:
The article presents data of applied socio-psychological research devoted to the study of difficulties encountered by educational institutions when teaching children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The research involved analysis of theoretical issues and practical experience on the subject; a survey of administrative and teaching staff; an exploration of organizational problems related to the education of children with ASD, in particular, the need for methodological support in teachers providing such education. The findings of the research indicated the following problems in educational institutions teaching children with ASD: 1) Education models for children with ASD require personnel and economic support; 2) teachers are not provided with special training necessary for working with children with ASD and for developing adapted teaching programmes; 3) institutions lack methodological and didactic support necessary for working with children with ASD; 4) there’s no communication between educational and medical institutions concerning the assistance to children with ASD and their families.

In the article the urgency of reforming the system of material incentives for the personnel in the socio-cultural sphere is defined. The main theoretical and practical aspects of application of various forms of non-material stimulation of the personnel at the example of reform of system of stimulation of work of the staff of the cinema „Aurora“ are considered. The authors reveals the essence of the system of stimulation of work of staff, the role of non-material stimulation of labor, discusses the relationship between such concepts as „needs“, „stimulus“, „motive“. The basic functions performed by incentive: economic, social and moral functions. The essence of the concept „motivation“ is not only the establishment of such a mechanism, in which active and producing some results-employment, becomes a necessary condition for satisfaction of important needs of employees, but also to use corporate-system, social and socio-psychological forms of non-material incentives of personnel of the enterprise, the need for which justified the analysis of the results of the survey of employees of socio-cultural sphere. In this article the formation of a system of motivation and non-material incentives for employees of enterprises of film screening that will ensure effective delivery of services to consumers the movies-video is considered. It was found that the stimulation system is satisfactory, but there is a possibility of reducing the efficiency of the system due to the indifference of employees towards their work, lack of initiative. So workers don‘t want to be involved in resolution of the problems in the team. The personnel‘s interest in efficient operation is clarified, but the existing shortcomings in the system of nonmaterial stimulation, in the opinion of the working team, in varying degrees, affect job satisfaction and reduce it.

Background. Priorities in life and professional values are the socio-psychological guidelines for the professional development of a specialist. The value environment in each organization is unique, it depends on many factors and is a component of the organizational culture, for the effective management and development of which it is necessary to study and take into account both individual life values of employees and the values of different categories of personnel and the organization as a whole. Aim. To study the peculiarities of the life values of employees of medical-scientific institution and assess their compliance with the values of the organization. Materials and Methods. Sociological survey, statistical analysis. The object of the research was the personnel of a modern scientific and medical organization, and the life values of employees and the values of the organization. The work was performed on the base of Research Institute for Complex Problems of Cardiovascular Diseases. The survey covered 74.8% of the basic personnel (doctors, research personnel, nurses, administrative and management personnel, servicing personnel). Results. The first three leading life values of all the personnel were health, happy family life and material well-being. More than half the respondents consider the most important values for the organization to be professionalism and responsible attitude to work, correct and respectful attitude to colleagues, correct and respectful attitude to patients, discipline and order in work, strict observance of laws and normative requirements, aspiration to professional perfection. In the personnel, the priority values for the organization do not depend on age. 73.7% of employees have a personal system of values that coincides with the values of the organization. Conclusions. In the opinion of the personnel, most important values of a medical and scientific institution are socio-normative values with a strong emphasis on the priority of personal professionalism. The majority of respondents believe that their personal values correspond to the values important for the organization, which is an indicator of the social and psychological congruence of employees, but is also a sign of the culture of conformism in the institution, which would more likely be a limiting factor in a research organization.

Using the case of preparing solutions of different socio-economic problems the author on the basis of system analysis assesses their complexity, validity and target orientation. It is shown that many decisions do not take into account long-term effects and factors that are not directly related to the sphere of the given decision. The article is devoted to the problems of personnel selection. It states that professional selection is the most important part of the hiring of employers; it mainly determines the effectiveness of personnel management. Therefore, the modern organizations give appropriate attention to the personnel selection. The article stresses that the priority tasks of increasing the efficiency of functioning of executive and management structures are: to equip them with employees who have the necessary qualities to successfully work in chosen profession, and the creation of a system that allows them to maintain and develop their working capacity, as well as reliability. To accomplish such tasks, periodic control of the employee’s functional status and the identification of objective criteria that characterize the qualitative composition of such units and bodies are necessary. And there is also a need for staff selection.The article examines the system of personnel selection. An analysis of the effectiveness of the existing selection system is carried out. The important tasks of professional psychological selection are the assessment of the development of the individual-psychological qualities and properties of the applicant’s personality, that are necessary for successful training and activities in the chosen specialty, as well as the conclusion on eligibility for training or practical activities in the relevant specialty.Measures to improve the personnel selection system are developed.The foreign experience of selection of personnel is estimated. However, copying of foreign methods of work with personnel without taking into account the characteristics of Ukrainian enterprises can have a significant negative effect - both economic and psychological. Since the mentality, traditions, peculiarities of the spiritual and socio-economic environment in which the person has grown and formed are of great importance in the work with people.The article states that professional and highly skilled personnel selection will have the subsequently positive affect on the reduction of staff turnover, greater employee satisfaction with the service and, as a result, greater efficiency of the organization.

The presence of vulnerabilities in the system of organization personnel security ensuring, increases the probability of appearance and implementation of personnel threats, which entails the need for their identification and assessment. The article highlights the variety of organization personnel security vulnerabilities: personnel vulnerabilities (vulnerabilities of personal qualities and external environment) and organization vulnerabilities. As an evaluation tool of personal qualities vulnerabilities we propose to use a secure employee profile, which includes such characteristics as: employee knowledge and understanding of regulations and procedures of personnel security ensuring, professional, moral and psychological reliability, absence of various addictions, as well as an increased vulnerability to the external environment. This study is based on materials of an expert survey. The agreement among the experts verified using the Kendall’s W. The analysis resulted in a qualitative profile characteristic, comprising the description of the qualities, character traits, behavioral features of a secure employee.

UK military personnel have faced increased demands over the last three decades; these have affected their wellbeing and caused multiple physical and mental health problems. Currently, bespoke rehabilitation systems may recommend participation in sports programmes. Although research attention has been drawn to the short-term positive effects of these programmes, their long-term impact on psychological wellbeing is unknown. To address this gap, the current study explored the long-term impact of a sports programme on UK military personnel’s ability to make changes in their day-to-day life through the lens of psychological wellbeing. For this purpose, UK military personnel (n = 97) completed an online survey aiming to provide a quantitative and qualitative picture of their experiences of an outdoor and adventure sports programme, underpinned by the basic psychological needs theory, six months following completion. Findings suggest that 75% of respondents found that the course was useful for facilitating adaptive changes. Content analysis suggests that elements of the course seem to satisfy their basic psychological needs of competence, relatedness and autonomy. Activities initiated six months after the course are mostly aligned with improved psychological wellbeing. Useful theoretical and applied implications are discussed.

The cost of modern innovative methods in winemaking requires finding ways to optimize the use of enterprise resources and reduce production costs. Another effective way is to introduce process innovation. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the feasibility of implementing managerial innovations in wineries and to determine the algorithm for assessing the readiness of the environment for their implementation. The directions of introduction of managerial innovations are considered. The types of managerial innovations in the field of personnel management are presented: recruiting, personnel audit and personnel coaching. The experience of foreign countries in the managerial innovations implementation is considered. Aspects of the analysis of the need for managerial innovations implementation are identified: as a tool and as a consequence. The introduction features of product and technical and technological innovations are determined. The definition of the concept of «organizational lag» has been given, which reflects the implementation of industrial innovations in the old management structures and methods, which reduces both their efficiency and the enterprise as a whole. The role of communication process in the enterprise management system is considered. The algorithm of communication aspects estimation of managerial innovations implementation at the enterprises by organizational, information, technological, social and psychological subsystems is presented. The role of the organizational management structure and the information subsystem in providing effective communications is presented. The role of the human factor in the communication process is defined. Using the developed algorithm will allow to identify bottlenecks in the communication process and to determine ways of overcoming them. cThe article is devoted to the study of the current situation in the drug use by juvenile onvicts serving sentences in educational colonies. The data of official statistics illustrating the growing dynamics of the number of persons convicted of crimes related to drug trafficking are presented. The leading role of socio-psychological factors in the development of drug-addicted behavior of juvenile criminals is noted. The aim of the study is to identify the most significant socio-psychological factors contributing to the determination of drugaddicted behavior, to determine possible areas of work for personnel of educational colonies to prevent the drug-addicted behavior. The methodological basis of the research was formed by the questionnaire, statistical method, analysis, synthesis, induction, system-structural and formallogical methods. As a result of the work carried out, it was established that the level of drug use among convicted juveniles is significantly higher than both officially recognized and declared by the adolescents themselves. The most significant sociopsychological factor leading to such behavior is the family, mistakes in family upbringing, family problems or lack of education. Attention is drawn to the fact that one of the areas of educational colonies work in the prevention of drug addicted behavior can and should be the work not only with the inmates, but also with their parents. It is proposed to strengthen the responsibility of parents for drug addicted behavior of children. Implementation of the conclusions and proposals made will help stabilize the situation and reduce juvenile delinquency related to drug trafficking.

Purpose Police personnel report relatively high rates of mental health difficulties, and are at an increased risk of experiencing stress, burnout, secondary traumatic stress and anxiety as a result of the nature of their work and may also experience low compassion satisfaction. However, it is likely that the prevalence of psychological distress varies across roles. The purpose of this paper is to explore psychological distress, in a large sample of police personnel, examining differences between individuals in a number of police roles. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire assessing experience of mental health problems, perceived stress, compassion fatigue (burnout and secondary traumatic stress), compassion satisfaction and anxiety was administered to 602 police personnel, who were classified into one of ten roles (24/7 officers, communications, firearms, crime, resolution without deployment, neighbourhood, custody, safeguarding, operations and other roles). Differences based on role and the requirement for shift work were then examined. Findings 24/7 officers had higher compassion fatigue and lower compassion satisfaction than individuals in a number of other roles. Firearms officers had lower levels of perceived stress and anxiety. Resolution without deployment officers reported higher secondary traumatic stress and compassion fatigue. The findings also revealed that respondents who partake in shift work showed higher levels of perceived stress. Originality/value This is the first study to the authors’ knowledge to investigate experience of mental health problems and reports of psychological distress in different roles within a UK police force. The findings have important implications, for example, in terms of identifying groups who may be particularly at risk from psychological distress.

Previous research has assessed industrial buyers' opinions of restaurant meetings with sales representatives but failed to clarify what settings are advantageous from a sales standpoint ( Dempsey, Bushman, and Plank 1980 ; Halvorson and Rudelius 1977 ). This experiment involving 211 purchasing personnel examines the impact of different restaurant meeting settings on industrial buyers' reactions to three user-versus-supplier problems. In a design where the environment of a buyer-seller meeting and the nature of user-supplier purchase problems were manipulated, it was found that an ordinary, unpretentious restaurant meeting caused more favorable evaluations than a nonroutine, fancy restaurant meeting.

The article analyzes demographic problems and closely related issues of personnel shortage, which are critically important for the accelerated socio-economic development of the Far East and Transbaikal region in particular. Today, as in the past decades, there is no clear understanding of the solution of these issues in the country, moreover, there is no reliable assessment base that allows to understand the depth of the problems, their localization at the regional and municipal levels and the factors involved in the development of effective management decisions at all levels of government. Therefore, in order to develop a state policy for accelerated socio-economic development of the regions of the Far East, it is necessary to determine priorities that will be appropriately evaluated by the population through its natural movement and migration behaviour. After all, the stabilization of the population of the Far East, and its growth in the future (taking into account the tasks of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation), is a task that should be solved primarily as a geopolitical one. Current mechanisms in the form of state programs: “Far Eastern hectare”, “Personnel support for the economy of the Far East”, “Development of the education system”, “Promotion of the Far East for work and life”, “Far Eastern mortgage” – do not work as effectively as intended. It is necessary to review the approaches to reformatting the region’s economy as a “new industrialization”, with the experience of the Stolypin reforms of the tsarist government and the Soviet era in the 70s of the twentieth century, but on other innovative principles. China demonstrates this quite well, including the Northern provinces. Their experience of reforms, for example in education, indicates a need to change the control system, expressed in the subordination of the majority of vocational schools at the provincial level, which enabled more productive to go to the formula “school- market and the government” and solve those huge human resource challenges faced by a growing economy

THE PURPOSE. To consider the features of the socio-economic development of Russia in the context of the fourth energy transition, which is based on the use of renewable energy sources and hydrogen as an energy carrier. To carry out a comparative analysis of approaches to the development and implementation of hydrogen energy programs in developed countries and in Russia. METHODOLOGY. To solve this problem, the method of analyzing the regulatory framework, monographic, scientific and analytical literature, program documents of various levels, real steps of the authorities in the implementation of the fourth energy transition was used. DISCUSSIONS. The current economic model of energy production and consumption is based on an increase in entropy, which leads to irreversible changes in the global ecosystem. The fourth energy transition involves the delocalization of energy production and the use of dissipated energy, which leads to a decrease in entropy. The transition to the use of renewable energy sources carries economic risks associated with the loss of established markets for traditional energy sources, a reduction in the production of products and services for the oil and gas sector of the economy, as well as the introduction of a "carbon tax" on the export products of Russian companies. Russia has achieved certain results in the development of hydrogen energy technologies, which can lead to access to international markets for hydrogen and technologies for its production. It is necessary to work with the public to explain the benefits of green energy. It is important to coordinate the actions of the Government of the Russian Federation and business to reduce costs during the transition to new energy. CONCLUSION. The authors have proposed measures that must be taken into account when implementing the Action Plan ("road map") for the development of hydrogen energy in the Russian Federation until 2024. 1. To supplement the roadmap with a system of measures to inform the population of the need to introduce green energy, including programs of additional, general secondary and higher education. 2. To change the structure of the Federal State Educational Standard of general secondary education in terms of including chemistry and biology in the list of compulsory subjects in order to provide personnel with hydrogen energy. 3. The provision of high-quality professional psychological selection of candidates for higher education with specific learning conditions to improve the professional level of specialists in the police of Ukraine has been studied. Psychological selection as a type of professional selection has been considered in the context of socio-psychological, psycho-physiological and actually psychological normative characteristics of the profession. A systematic analysis of existing approaches to the study of the problem of psychological selection in higher educational institutions of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in science and practice. The author has carried out theoretical and methodological study of the main forms of psychological selection (scientific and methodical, organizational, personnel and logistical), each of them determines the possibility of effective functioning of selection as a system, while having its own methodological, methodical and organizational specifics. The motivational component of professional psychological selection has been studied through the prism of complexity and dynamism of the motivational sphere of personality, as well as the lack of a reliable method of its evaluation. The author has specified and studied three levels of requirements for education in higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: 1) requirements due to educational activities in the higher educational institutions with specific learning conditions; 2) requirements due to the general features of the law enforcement system; 3) requirements due to the specifics of the future professional activity of an individual in the units of the National Police. Three main stages of psychological selection in the higher educational institutions have been considered (the first is carried out by psycho-diagnostic centers and laboratories at the military medical commission and has a pronounced psychiatric orientation, the second is carried out by the employees of the psychological support service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in regions, the third is carried out by psychologists of higher educational institutions) and “weak spots” in each of them have been identified. The problems that arise in the scientific and methodological, organizational, personnel and logistical forms of psychological selection of candidates for higher education in the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been determined and researched. The author has offered a number of successive measures to solve them.

A range of socio-economic factors affects the motivation of a company’s labor force. Many of these represent independent subsystems of the company’s overarching approach. They involve various economic and social indicators, but not all are implemented or included in personnel management. Without a dedicated system in place, it is almost impossible to create labor motivation within an enterprise. This research examines personnel services within several oil and gas companies in the Republic of Kazakhstan. These somewhat overlook the socio-economic factors of the region, while developing labor motivation in the framework of the Company Strategy. The paper shows that companies need personnel services to carry out labor relations. This is valuable for equal economic relations between employees and employers, an effective labor market, and the wider management of social problems affecting productivity.

The article exposes the identity of the destructive psychological influence on the personality and offers directions and methods of information-psychological counteraction. One of the areas of psychological practice is being studied - counteraction to informational psychological influence. The most effective methods and practices of counteracting negative information-psychological influence are highlighted. The specific features of counteracting the destructive information-psychological influence, the features of timely psychodiagnostics and the development of effective countermeasures are described. The relevance of the study of this area of psychological work is imposed by the need on the one hand in assessing the quality of psychological protection of employees of internal affairs bodies, and on the other, in searching and stimulating intraorganizational and intrapersonal psychological resources, which necessitates the development of theoretical, methodological and conceptual approaches to the implementation of approaches to protect personnel from negative psychological information influence. The authors consider the destructive informational and psychological influence as one of the most serious problems of modern society, which threatens the psychological safety of not only employees of the internal affairs bodies, but also citizens, entails significant losses, and has a strong psychological effect.

This research article studies the problem of inconsistency of higher-educated personnel training structure to the current and future sectoral specialization of the Russian economy. One of the key tasks of the higher education system in any country is to train personnel who would be demanded by economy in the future. The responsibility for balancing the structure of training higher-educated personnel with the needs of organizations and various industries lies both on the government authorities and on the universities themselves. The authors analyze the correspondence of the structure of training personnel with higher education to the current and future needs of the socio-economic development of Russia in general and its regions in particular. In the course of the study, the structure of training personnel with higher education by enlarged groups of specialties and training programs has been compared with the current and prospective structure of the gross regional product, as well as with the distribution of the employed by sectors of the economy of all Russian Federation constituent entities. The results of the analysis by federal districts are based on the data obtained for the constituent entities, and make it possible to assess the imbalance in the structure of training personnel with higher education, to formulate possible reasons for the existing imbalances at the regional, federal, and universities’ levels. The study is based on the documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia concerning the distribution of admission control figures by the Russian Federation entities and enlarged groups of specialties and training programs, aswell as on the information from the Federal State Statistics Service. For most regions of Russia, the results of the analysis revealed the problem of inconsistency between higher-educated personnel training structure and the structure of the need for personnel as determined by the goals and objectives of socio-economic development. A possible way to solve this problem is to revise the universities’ development programs with due consideration of the long-term regional development prospects supported by a system of institutional measures on the part of education authorities, industries, and regions.

The aim of this review is to examine α.the attitudes toward mental help seeking and the willingness to ask for mental help, b. self and public stigma experienced by seeking psychological help, in general population and in particular how all this are experienced by the military personnel. General features for each of the variables are examined, the more often measures are used, the main factors which are involved in the procedure of seeking mental help and correlated with each other, are discussed. Even if military personnel experience psychological problems avoid seeking mental help in order not to confront self and public stigma from seeking psychological help.implications for new research on how the fear toward help seeking could be diminished are discussed.

Authors considered the company’s existing system of benefi ts and rewards incentive and compensatory nature. The article presents the obtained data in the survey on the assessment of the employees of the current system of material and non-material motivation.

Unfortunately, there are not so many fundamental studies of this problem, and practical experience does not always remain studied and appreciated. Objective: analysis of problems of deviant behavior in the context of the processes and results of deformations of the system of values of the students and the educational community. The method of research is a theoretical analysis of the problem of deviant behavior of the students in the context of the processes and results of deformations of the value system of an individual and the educational community. Results and conclusions. Deviations in human behavior in different ages are manifested in a variety of forms, such as aggression and autoaggression, alcoholism and drug addiction, offenses and crimes, and new forms of the addiction. The problem of the (re/tras) formation of a system of values is touched upon in the multitude of works by modern and classic scientists, pedagogues, social workers and other specialists. Technological, social, psychological, political and economic changes in worlds have led to the destruction and desacralization of the customary system of values, such as moral norms, their representation in interaction with fatherland, family and friendship, professional and work communication. The article analyzes the problems and directions of the deviant development of the person and the person’s relationship at the student age, the effects and approaches to organizing and improving the psychological and socio-pedagogical support of a young person as a person, partner and future professional in the process of his study at the university - academic psychological counseling.

Undergraduates (N = 248) at a private, midsize, Midwestern university provided self-reports of their psychological problems; stress; demographic variables; and people to whom they talked when they had problems. Help sources ranged from natural to formal support. Three patterns of psychological problems emerged: internalized distress; alcohol abuse; and dysfunctional eating. Demographic variables included, but were not limited to; gender, age, class, international student status, ethnicity, major, religion, residence, and parental income. Neither levels of psychological problems nor stress had much relation to self-reported talking, although internalized distress predicted talking to a counselor. Many demographic variables, particularly gender, international student status, ethnicity, full-time versus part-time status, and major, predicted talking to help sources. Females acknowledged talking more frequently, but genders showed the same preferences for help sources. Results raise issues of helping students, particularly those with alcohol abuse or eating problems, through either arenas or personnel which are nontraditional.
