Background: Service and combat activities of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carried out in difficult political, economic and socio-cultural conditions. Purpose: To summarize traditional problems and current scientific approaches in the study of socio-cultural factors of security and defense activities; to clarify the modern content of the concepts: “moral and psychological support”, “psychological support”, “work with the personnel”. Materials and Methods: The research methodology is based on the theoretical analysis of special psychological and pedagogical literature, the study and generalization of practical experience. Results: A comprehensive analysis of the socio-cultural foundations of the security and defense of the state has been carried out. The features and limitations of the official regulation of the activities of officials and control bodies for the moral and psychological support of the training and use of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were revealed. The modern content of the concepts: “moral and psychological support”, “psychological support”, “work with the personnel” was clarified and defined. Conclusions: There is a need for an interdisciplinary approach to clarify the terminology used in the regulations governing the procedure for moral and psychological support. We consider moral support, psychological support and social work to be the key components of moral and psychological support.

The paper reveals essential characteristics of military personnel adaptation to the conditions of service in the army. The author believes that to understand the essence of adaptation it is necessary to understand modified, stressful living conditions and activities causing the inclusion of physiological, psychological, and physical functional reserves of the organism, some problems of adaptation: the relationship between commanders and soldiers, the relationship between the older soldiers and recruits, the commanders of insubordination, aggressive behavior, defiant behavior and factors of maladjustment: the low stress resistance of the organism, physiological reserves, poor physical fitness, lack of personal and psychological potential, non-acceptance of new rules and conditions of life, low training and combat training, unformed value-semantic orientation. A sociological study revealed the following problems of socio-psychological adaptation: insufficient psycho-pedagogical competence of commanders in matters of socio-psychological adaptation; a lack of specialists of social work; a lack of individual psychological assistance to servicemen who have difficulties of adaptation; a lack of the programme of adaptation work; insufficient development of individual methods, techniques and technologies of work; a lack of analysis of work; insufficient work with the team. The author sees the prospect of the research in the development of methods and techniques that can help to successfully support military personnel during their adaptation.

The article describes the main directions and reveals the content of psychological work in the bodies of internal affairs which is continuously implemented at each stage of staff performance. Among the leading areas of activity of psychologists are the following: professional psychological selection of candidates for service; psychological diagnosis of employees in the course of support of official activity; the study of the socio-psychological climate in the collectives and the moral and psychological state of the personnel; carrying out special psychophysiological studies using a polygraph; adaptation of young employees; professional psychological training of personnel; psychological prevention and correction of negative psychoemotional states; psychological counseling of personal, family and professional problems of employees. Taking into account the described state of the departmental psychological service, the prospective directions of its development are outlined, and the need to implement a systemic, integrated approach when solving problems related to the psychological maintenance of staff performance is emphasized.

The development of the Institute of public service is connected, fi rst of all, with the improvement of its personnel policy, the fi ght against corruption, the introduction of ethical standards and technologies for managing the career of employees. These problems are the most signifi cant limitations of socio-economic and political development of the state and their solution should pay considerable attention to the socio-psychological well-being and climate of the employees of public authorities in order to minimize the negative eff ects of psychological support for their professional activities. In order to determine the specifi cs of the formation of socio-psychological climate in public authorities, whose employees should be focused on solving signifi cant problems of state construction, the authors conducted a study in the Federal service for fi nancial monitoring of the Russian Federation. By applying the test “Pulsar”, the test of the “Integral job satisfaction”, by A.V. Batashevy, the observation method and personal interview by the authors has been partially refuted the hypothesis that the rigid formalization of the activities of public servants, including the regimentation of action, the pressure of the authorities, routine and emphasis on discipline and high level of personal responsibility, is a dominant factor disturbing the socio-psychological climate in state government. The study revealed that socio-psychological climate in the team of a public authority can be described as favorable and unstable. A team of employees — quite a mature group, able to perform a production job, despite the rather widespread phenomenon: “staff turnover”. According to the results of the tests, the authors characterize a modern civil servant as an effective, purposeful, energetic, constantly increasing his level of knowledge, interested in effective work, which is contrary to the image of a public servant who is tired in society.

At present, the economy of society can be called a complex system, and one of its main elements is the personnel of enterprises. The results of the activities of most organizations and their experience in working with personnel can indicate that such factors as the formation of production teams, high-quality human resources, improved socio-psychological aspects of management and employee motivation are crucial in the use of human resources for efficient production and competitiveness of enterprises. This article examines the main problems associated with the motivation of personnel in small businesses. Along with that, an analysis of the activities of the small enterprise OOO (LLC) IE "Tokomet" is carried out, the current system of motivation is investigated, the main problems are identified by conducting a survey of the company’s employees and recommendations are offered for solving these problems.

It has been noted that official activities of the employees of the State Penitentiary Service (SPS) of Ukraine is directly related to the presence of a significant number of stressful factors and requires the comprehensive use of psychological tools and technologies. This affects the efficiency of professional activities of the specialists within penitentiary sphere. Taking into account the special conditions of professional activity of the employees of the SPS of Ukraine, the author has distinguished the main directions of the system of psychological support of professional activity of the employees of the SPS of Ukraine. The author has analyzed the following directions of the system of psychological support of professional activity of the employees of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine: professional psychological selection, psychological support of professional activity, professional psychological training of personnel and provision of recommendations to the management board. The author has distinguished the following tasks of the professional psychological selection of the employees for the SPS of Ukraine: assistance to citizens in choosing a particular specialty through professional counseling on the basis of studying individual and psychological characteristics and professional interests of future employees; determining the degree of conformity (inconsistency) of psychological data of a candidate or training the requirements of a specialty; the development of propositions for the rational allocation of employees to primary positions, etc. It has been noted that psychological support of the service of the personnel of the SPS of Ukraine envisages: monitoring of the socio-psychological climate within the staff and its maintenance at the proper level; psychodiagnostics of the personnel; correction of a personality, taking into account the results obtained during psychodiagnostics; provision of recommendations for the management board on deployment of personnel taking into account the results of psychodiagnostics; primary psychological prevention among penitentiary staff, etc. The professional psychological training of the employees of the SPS of Ukraine is considered as a purposeful process for the formation and development of personal qualities and traits of specialists that would meet the requirements of their professional activities.

The social institutions of punishment and release have been studied. The essence of the release as the process of completing the influence on the convicted person with the purpose of his return to social and normative life in society has been revealed. The spectrum of problems of preparing convicts for the release has been outlined. The authors have specified the weaknesses of the current state program for preparing convicts for the release. In order to reveal the peculiarities of the indicators of socio-psychological readiness of convicts for the release (cognition, emotion, reflection) and to identify the specifics of their tendencies towards further self-directed obedient behavior after being released, the authors have presented generalized results of the empirical study carried out with the help of the authors’ questionnaire “Socio-psychological readiness of convicts for the release”. The research was implemented on the basis of state institutions of the penal system, namely, in the correctional colonies of the Central-West Interregional Department for the execution of criminal penalties and probation of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. 118 male respondents aged 20 to 55 years sentenced under the Articles 121, 122, 115, 185, 186, 187, 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, who had less than 6 months left before the release, participated in the study. The authors have emphasized on the expediency of developing a program for preparing convicts for the release, taking into account indicators of socio-psychological readiness, and on the objective need for professional training of personnel of penitentiary agencies and institutions that will carry out socio-psychological support of convicts who have less than 6 months left until their release.

The subject of this research is the social work with military personnel, while the object is the socio-psychological adaptation of young soldiers. This article demonstrates the problems of adaptation of military personnel to the conditions of army. Special attention is given to socio-psychological problems of adaptation of the participants of military operations, which should be solved on the state level, as well as to the development of new social policy with regards for military personnel and their families. It is underlined that is an immensely serious, psychologically difficult process that requires scientific approaches, high level of competence of the persons performing such activity, and elaboration of the new normative legal framework that can meet the demands for their professional training. Taking into account the key aspects and techniques of social work on adaptation of military personnel, theoretical and methodological research on the topic, the author comes to the conclusion that a wide range of activities requires better professional training of the people involved, and it should be provided in the higher education institutions with the specialization in “Social Work”. Such activity should be conducted on the state level, as it implies the development of a new normative legal framework that regulates the introduction of social services into military units, as well as the organization of training of military personnel within the system of education of social workers that incorporates research and implementation of new social work techniques with regards to military personnel.

It has been stated that violent crime of military personnel is conditioned both by general determinants for the whole crime and by special criminogenic factors. The author of the article has highlighted the main determinants of such crime in details. They traditionally include the following determinants: economic, political, ideological, cultural, national, socio-biological, socio-psychological, organizational and administrative, legal, etc. Their specific features, causes, consequences and mutual influence at the present stage of Ukraine’s development have been determined; and certain ways of improving the situation have been specified. Particular attention has been paid to determinants of violent crimes committed by military personnel during combat operations. The author has indicated on predominance of the socio-psychological nature of crimes in such conditions and the prevalence of certain manifestations of post-traumatic stress disorders among the participants of hostilities in Eastern Ukraine; the author has noted that such disorders have recently been identified by psychologists as “ATO syndrome”. The author has expressed opinion that commission of violent, lucrative and violent crimes by military personnel during combat operations is in many cases a consequence of the influence of specific social and psychological determinants, where researchers name: weakening of social control factors; exacerbation of problems of meeting the needs for existence; increasing the level of nervousness of the population, increasing the conflict level in interpersonal relationships; weakening the morality, etc. It has been emphasized that the elimination of these criminogenic determinants should be a priority in the prevention of violent crimes by military personnel.

Purpose: analysis and assessment of the motivational component of the labor process of highly qualified specialists. Materials and methods: distribution of motivation factors (value orientation) according to the needs pyramid of A. Maslow, questionnaire surveys on the degree of satisfaction with labor, comparison of the rates of change in labor productivity with changes in the average wage, processing of the results of the study using descriptive statistics. Results. The relationship between the main elements of the personnel incentive structure and the actual driving motives is shown. Conclusions. It was revealed that the most problematic point that employees are worried about is the lack of assessment of achievements: lack of socio-psychological motivation, expressed in the lack of a favorable psychological climate in the team, in the absence of a policy of rewards for quality work, in the absence of team spirit. Possible recommendations for improving the motivational component of the labor process are formulated.

Предметом исследования стали: социально-психологический климат, ролевое поведение и адаптация персонала, мотивационная сфера персонала. Магистерская диссертация состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения, списка литературы (68 источников) и приложений, включающих в себя бланки применявшихся методик. Объем магистерской диссертации 94 страницы, на которых размещены 10 таблиц. Во введении раскрывается актуальность проблемы исследования, ставятся цель и задачи исследования, определяются объект и предмет исследования, формулируется гипотеза, указываются методы и эмпирическая база, а также этапы проведения исследования, теоретическая и практическая значимость работы. Первая глава включает в себя обзор литературы по теме социально-психологические проблемы организации. Представлены разделы, посвященные социально-психологическому климату, ролевому поведению и адаптации персонала, мотивационная сфера персонала. Вторая глава посвящена эмпирической части исследования. В ней представлено описание организации и методов проведенного исследования и результатов, полученных по всем использованным методикам: aнкета «какой степени Вы удовлетворены следующими аспектами своей работы?» для сотрудников АО «УМБР» (анкета анонимная); «Социально–психологический климат коллектива» Б.Д. Парыгина; «Роли в команде» P.M. Белбина; «Диагностика личности на мотивацию достижения к успеху и мотивацию к избеганию неудач» Т. Элерса; диагностика «360 градусов». Также в главе представлен корреляционный анализ результатов исследования. Выводы по главе 2 включают в себя основные результаты эмпирического исследования. В заключении в обобщенном виде изложены результаты теоретической и эмпирической частей работы, а также выводы по выдвинутым гипотезам, обоснована практическая значимость исследования и описаны возможные перспективы дальнейшей разработки данной проблематики.
The object of the study is the socio-psychological problems of the organization (on the example of JSC "UMBR"). The subject of the study was: the socio-psychological climate, role behavior and adaptation of personnel, the motivational sphere of personnel. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of references (68 sources) and appendices, including forms of the applied methods. The volume of the master's thesis is 94 pages, on which 10 tables are placed. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, sets the goal and objectives of the research, defines the object and subject of the research, formulates a hypothesis, specifies the methods and empirical base, as well as the stages of the research, the theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter includes a review of the literature on the topic of socio-psychological problems of the organization. The sections devoted to the socio-psychological climate, role behavior and adaptation of personnel, motivational sphere of personnel are presented. The second chapter is devoted to the empirical part of the study. It describes the organization and methods of the study and the results obtained from all the methods used: the questionnaire "to what extent are you satisfied with the following aspects of your work?» for employees of JSC "UMBR" (anonymous questionnaire); "Social and psychological climate of the team" by B. D. Parygin; "Roles in the team" by P. M. Belbin; "Personality diagnostics on the motivation to achieve success and motivation to avoid failure" by T. Ehlers; diagnostics "360 degrees". The chapter also presents a correlation analysis of the results of the study. The conclusions of chapter 2 include the main results of the empirical study. In conclusion, the results of the theoretical and empirical parts of the work, as well as conclusions on the hypotheses put forward, are summarized, the practical significance of the study is justified and possible prospects for further development of this problem are described.

L’objectif principal de ce travail de recherche est d’observer l’influence du training socio-psychologique sur le développement cognitif et personnel des élèves. Si, une fois scolarisé, l’enfant est bien accompagné activement dans son développement intellectuel, il n’en va pas de même pour son développement émotionnel et social (image de Soi, compétences affectives et relationnelles). Les élèves sont sommés d’acquérir beaucoup de savoirs disciplinaires variés mais on ne travaille pas suffisamment leurs compétences émotionnelles et sociales. Dans le cadre de cette thèse, nous étudions les effets de la mise en œuvre du training socio-psychologique, notamment via la méthode « Philosophie avec les enfants » en milieu éducatif. Nous examinons plus précisément l’impact des discutions à visée philosophique sur le développement émotionnel (identification des émotions), la connaissance de soi et des autres et le développement des compétences sociales. L’étude se déroulait sur deux années scolaires – de 2013 à 2015 avec des élèves scolarisés en CE2 (8-9 ans), au collège (11-13 ans) et au lycée (15-16 ans). Le recueil des données est réalisé au début et à la fin de chaque année scolaire. Ont été utilisés des outils de mesure quantitatifs (questionnaires et sociogramme) et qualitatifs (questionnaires d’enquête, observations). Les résultats obtenus témoignent de l’impact positif de la méthode « Philosophie avec les enfants » qui se manifeste dans trois domaines principaux : identification des émotions – de ses propres émotions, mais aussi de celles des autres ; construction d’une représentation de soi plus authentique avec amélioration de l’aptitude à mieux connaître les autres ; amélioration des compétences sociales (les capacités de communication) et des relations avec les autres
The main purpose of this research work is to track the impact of the socio-psychological training on the cognitive-personal development of the Bulgarian students. If the child is actively supported with his/her intellectual development when starting going to school, this is not the case with their emotional and social development (Self-concept and self-esteem, emotional and social competence). Students gain basically knowledge of the different subjects at school but their emotional and social skills are not developed enough. Within this dissertation we study the effects of the application of socio-psychological training in the form of the method “Philosophy with children” in school environment. The study examines in more detail the impact of the discussions on the “Philosophy with Children” method on emotional development (recognizing emotions), a better knowing oneself and the others and the development of the social skills. The present research work is based on a study conducted over two consecutive academic years: from 2013 until 2015 during which I have studied the influence of the discussions on the “Philosophy with Children” method with primary (8-9 y.o.), and high school students (11-16 y.o.). The survey data was collected at the beginning and at the end of each school year. Methods which were used are quality (questionnaire, observation) and quantity (interrogatory, sociometric survey). The results testify to the positive impact of the "Philosophy with Children" method which manifest themselves in three main areas: recognizing of emotions - their own and those of others; creating an authentic self-image and, accordingly, achieving a better level of knowing the others; increasing social competence (communication skills) and improving relationships with others
Основна цел на настоящата изследователска работа е да проследи влиянието на социалнопсихологическия тренинг върху когнитивно-личностното развитие на учениците. Ако с постъпването в училище, детето е активно подкрепено в интелектуалното му развитие, това не е така по отношение на емоционалното и социално развитие (Аз-концепция и самооценка, емоционална и социална компетентност). В училище, учениците придобиват основно знания по отделните учебни предмети, но не се работи достатъчно върху техните емоционални и социални умения. В рамките на този дисертационен труд, ние изучаваме ефектите от приложението на социалнопсихологическия тренинг, под формата на метода „Философия с деца“, в училищна среда. Проведеното изследване проучва по-детайлно влиянието на провежданите дискусии по метода „Философия с деца“ върху емоционалното развитие (разпознаване на емоциите), по-доброто познаване на себе си и другите, и развитието на социалните умения. Настоящата изследователска работа се базира върху изследване проведено в две последователни учебни години – от 2013 до 2015 и включва ученици от начален ( 8-9 години), прогимназиален (11-13 години) и гимназиален етап (15-16 години). Данните от изследването са събирани в началото и в края на всяка учебна година. Използвани са качествени (анкети, наблюдение) и количествени (въпросници, социометрична анкета) методи на изследване. Nombreuses sont les enquêtes statistiques suggérant que les actifs développent des réactions affectives à leur travail. L'économiste doit-il pour autant tenir compte de ce type de données? Dans une optique d'économie pure, probablement pas. Le présent travail tente de montrer que, dans une optique appliquée, ces réactions affectives peuvent jouer un rôle explicatif important. Nous considérons ainsi des agents développant des stratégies d'accès à l'estime de soi. Cette préoccupation débouche sur un arbitrage qui conditionne la forme des préférences individuelles, notamment la désutilité de l'effort. Dans un cadre principal-agent, le souci d'accéder à l'estime de soi par le travail représente une source de motivation intrinsèque qui influence la profitabilité et l'efficacité de la relation d'emploi. Partant de ce modèle de relation d'emploi, nous explorons les conséquences des préoccupations d'estime de soi des travailleurs sur le fonctionnement d marché du travail. Nous considérons le problème des disparités socio-démographiques en montrant que le type de ségrégation professionnelle sur lequel débouche notre modèle peut expliquer des écarts de rémunération moyenne entre groupes sociaux (hommes/femmes, travailleurs blancs/travailleurs noirs. . . ). Nous étudions cet argument dans le cadre d'un marché du travail où entreprises et actifs sont en interaction stratégique (structure type oligopsone).

The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) is a popular measure of psychosocial functioning and psychopathology in the assessment of individuals in a variety of settings. However, the method of construction employed with the MMPI more than 60 years ago with psychiatric patients challenges the applicability of the scales for determining the psychosocial functioning of individuals from different settings. The restandardisation conducted in 1987 made no effort to eradicate the item overlap that was a result of the criterion keying method with contrasted groups. Although restandardized and updated with more contemporary language and content, the original psychiatric constructs were retained in order to maintain continuity with its predecessor. The aims of this investigation were to develop a new structure for the MMPI-2 constructed at the item-level, empirically derived and which specifically represents the dimensions that are relevant and appropriate in evaluating the psychosocial functioning of personal injury claimants. This task included comparisons with a comparable scale-level analysis and developing optimal scoring strategies where items in components and facets are allocated weightings based upon their strength of association. Study 1 was conducted using a sample of 2989 personal injury claimants assessed in Australia and the United States of America. The final sample of 3230, included 241 normal individuals, was utilized to develop a scale-level structure from 79 standard MMPI-2 scales and subscales. A nine-component solution consisting of General Maladjustment /Emotional Distress, Asocial Beliefs, Social Vulnerability, Somatic Complaints, Psychological Disturbance, Impulsive Expression, Antisocial Practices, Stereotypic Fears and Family Difficulties was derived using principal component analysis. However, intercorrelation between components in the structure signaled the need to develop a structure that would eradicate problems that were perpetuated by item overlap. The second study was conducted with a set of best practice procedures with the same clinical sample of 2989 personal injury claimants as Study 1. Forty-one components were derived through principal component analysis. Through the application of a set of criteria, a 35-component solution was retained. The pattern coefficients from the allocation of items to components determined the weightings to be applied to each item. Further analysis of the 35 components derived a substructure of 37 facets. The 35 components included only 442 of the 567 items, with the reliability coefficients of the first 25 components that ranged between .5 and .97, and the remaining 10 components that ranged from .29 to .49. The latter unreliable components were not included in the final Structural Summary, leaving 25 components (400 items) and their 33 facets for interpretation. Hence, in demonstrating the utility of the newly-derived structure, only 25 components and their 33 facets were interpreted. The 25 components were grouped conceptually into six domains. In the emotional domain were Psychological Distress (PsyDist), Anger, Fears, Psychotic Symptoms (PsyS), Paranoia (Par), Irritability (Irrit), Elation (Elat), Fear of the Dark (FD), and Financial Worry (FinWo). Somatic Complaints (SomC), Sexual Concerns (SexCon), and Gastrointestinal Problems (GasP) made up the measures in the physiological domain. In the behavioural domain were Cognitive Difficulties (CogDiff), Stimulus-Seeking (StimuS), Discipline (Dis), and Delinquency (Del) whilst the interpersonal domain was formed by Social Withdrawal (SoW), Negative Interpersonal Attitude (NIA), Timidity (Tim), Lie, Dissatisfaction with Self (DWS) and Family Relationship Difficulties (FReD). Alcoholism (Alco) was the only measure in the substance abuse domain, and the gender domain was comprised of Masculinity (Mas) and Femininity (Fem). The third study established preliminary normative means and standard deviations using a small opportunistic Australian university student sample (N = 219). No substantial gender differences were found but gender norms were maintained to facilitate comparisons with the traditional MMPI-2 approach. Comparisons of frequency of 'true' item response between the Australian university student sample and the U.S. restandardisation sample found relatively little differences and permitted evaluation of between sample differences on components and facets. The utility of the structure was demonstrated with the illustration of two clinical case examples, and a comparison was made with the standard MMPI-2 scales and subscales. The Structural Summary for the MMPI-2 demonstrated discriminative measures of psychosocial functioning that were a result of no item overlap, and the ability to attend to the different levels of intensity of self-report items because of differential weightings.

Исследовать психологический портрет студента и проанализировать связь полученных результатов с результатами учебы; 3. Разработать пути воздействия на студента, позволяющие повысить качество его профессиональной подготовки. Объектом исследования являются студенты института новых материалов и технологий и их оценки за сессии. Предмет исследования – успеваемость студентов. Работа также представлялась на международный конкурс «Discovery Science: University-2016», где заняла третье место в направлении «Психологические науки». Объем и структура работы. Работа состоит из пояснительной записки объемом 82 страницы и включает в себя введение, три главы, заключение, список использованных источников, состоящий из 47 наименований и 4 приложения. Во введении обоснована актуальность темы, определены цели работы и сформулированы ее задачи. В первой главе анализируется состояние машиностроительного производства в России в настоящее время и описываются факторы, влияющие на его развитие. Во второй главе исследуются причины низкой подготовки кадров для машиностроения. В третьей главе разработана система влияния на студентов с целью повышения качества их обучения. В заключении подведены итоги. Основные выводы 1. В России существует дефицит квалифицированных кадров для машиностроения; 2. Успеваемость студентов оставляет желать лучшего, несмотря на то, что их личностные качества достаточно высоки и не отличаются от качество нашего общества в целом; 3. Предложены методы «нелинейного» воздействия на студентов, основанные на использовании проблемного подхода в обучении, оптимизации речи преподавателя, грамотном оформлении иллюстративного материала, а также рационализации поведения преподавателя в аудитории.
Actuality of work. The work is aimed at solving the actual problem - the shortage of qualified personnel in the machine-building industry. This problem is one of the reasons for the difficulties that machine building in the Russian Federation is currently experiencing. The purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for improving the quality of graduates of a technical university. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were set: 1. To study the level of basic knowledge of students obtained at school and analyze their relationship with academic achievement in the university; 2. To explore the psychological portrait of the student and analyze the relationship between the results obtained and the results of studies; 3. To develop ways of influencing the student, allowing to improve the quality of his professional training. The object of the research is the students of the Institute of New Materials and Technologies and their evaluation for the session. The subject of the study is student performance. Methods of research: systematization, psychological testing, generalization, statistical methods. Publications. Based on the work materials, 3 articles were published (in co-authorship): 1. Modern student of a technical college: elements of a psychological portrait // Pedagogical education in Russia. 2016. №4 С.87-92. 2. On the issue of the relationship of the results of studies of students of a technical college with their responsibility and motivation // Pedagogical Education in Russia. 2016. №7 С.218-223. 3. On the relationship of academic achievement in physics and mathematics in the general education school with the results of teaching these disciplines by students of a technical college // Pedagogical Education in Russia. 2016. №10 С.68-71. The work was also presented at the international competition "Discovery Science: University-2016", where she took the third place in the direction of "Psychological Sciences". Scope and structure of work. The work consists of an explanatory note in the volume of 82 pages and includes an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, a list of sources used, consisting of 47 titles and 4 annexes. In the introduction, the relevance of the topic is substantiated, the goals of the work are defined and its tasks are formulated. In the first chapter, the state of machine-building production in Russia is analyzed at the present time and the factors affecting its development are described. The second chapter explores the reasons for the low training of personnel for machine building. The third chapter developed a system of influence on students in order to improve the quality of their education. In the conclusion the results are summed up. Main conclusions 1. In Russia, there is a shortage of qualified personnel for machine building; 2. The progress of students is poor, despite the fact that their personal qualities are high enough and do not differ from the quality of our society as a whole; 3. Methods of "indirect" impact on students based on the use of a problem approach in teaching, optimizing the speech of the teacher, the competent design of illustrative material, as well as the rationalization of the teacher's behavior in the classroom are suggested.

AbstractLiving with scars in a society that highly values beauty can be challenging for a burn survivor. Particularly in the current society in which there are signals that increasing demands of beauty are becoming normalized, health care providers should be aware of this changing notion of normality that may increase the call for cosmetic and plastic surgery interventions and, at the same time, may decrease the acceptance of visible differences. This chapter describes psychological problems that may occur in burn survivors with visible differences. The adjustment process that follows after burn injury is complex and multifactorial. A changed appearance can elicit diminished self- and body-esteem and can hamper encounters with others. Knowledge on most frequent psychological disorders and its symptoms are reviewed and the multifaceted process of adjusting to visible differences involving personal and societal factors is described. It outlines risk factors for psychological problems associated with burn scars and how psychological problems can influence the perception of the scars. It also briefly describes psychological interventions that can be applied in this field.

The article is devoted to the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. The subject of research – socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. The purpose of the study is to empirically study the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. Objectives of the study: to analyze the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties and using psychodiagnostic techniques to determine which socio-psychological features provoke the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. Particular attention is paid to the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. It is pointed out that in order to clarify the essence of deviant behavior, it is necessary to identify not only its external manifestations, but also the internal properties, without which it cannot exist. Any deviations (deviations) in human behavior are the result of inconsistency of his desires, aspirations, and claims with the social norms of the environment in which he operates: he lives, is brought up, studies and works. When a person does not agree or does not accept the demands of society, he challenges him in the form of any behavioral disorders, the content of which, of course, is determined by his physiological, psychological and social qualities. It can be noted that deviations in the adolescent environment (aggression, drug addiction, drunkenness, etc.) in their purpose, consequences differ significantly, say, from deviations among adults (criminal and economic crimes). Deviant behavior is defined as a personal challenge of a person, in particular, a teenager, to the social environment, which is caused by inconsistency between his personal demands and social requirements (norms, standards, rules, regulations) and is manifested by such social and behavioral actions and actions that are not approved (condemned)) close environment or society. The article describes the course and procedure of research organization. The results of research on each technique concerning definition of level of accentuation of character (Shmishek’s questionnaire), aggressiveness (Freiburg’s questionnaire), ways of mastering with difficult life situations are described (adaptation of the technique WCQ), level of hopelessness (Нореlеssnеss Sсаlе, Веck еt аl.). The conclusions indicate the socio-psychological features of the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. It is emphasized that unfavorable living and upbringing conditions in the family, problems of acquiring knowledge and related learning failures, inability to build relationships with others and conflicts arising on this basis, can lead to deviant behavior in adolescents. With the help of such psychodiagnostic techniques as character accentuations, aggression questionnaire, questionnaire of ways to master difficult life situations, the scale of hopelessness, it is determined which psychological features provoke the formation of deviant behavior in adolescents with learning difficulties. These are the presence of certain accentuations of character, the level of aggression above average and the methods that the teenager uses to master a difficult life situation. The conclusions reveal the prospects for further development.

The purpose of the paper is to summarize and present teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language in higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The main focus lies in the most modern methods of teaching Ukrainian for foreign students of different nationalities who attain higher education in Ukraine. The author reviewed the development of the concepts of emotional intelligence and modern approaches to the determination of the nature and forms of manifestation of empathy in individuals. Empathy is a principal social emotion; in its most general form it is defined as the individual's ability to react emotionally and to respond to other people's experiences. The author emphasizes the feasibility of accounting empathy as part of emotional intelligence, which is key to successful study of the Ukrainian language for foreigners. The value of socio-psychological training as a means to enhance students’ empathy is proven. Emotional intelligence techniques for the formation and development of empathy culture are presented. The formation of students’ emphatically culture promotes social and psychological training, thus enhancing competence in the field of communication and interpersonal skills to acquire. Socio-psychological training covers various methods, such as business and role-playing, discussions and more. It involves the acquisition of psychological and pedagogical knowledge in communication, effective communication skills, for example, to get in touch, listen, persuade others and to form attitudes necessary for successful communication, such as readiness to consider the problem from another point of view; development of abilities of self-examination, to understand other students, and correction system of relations with the outside world. Other techniques appropriate to apply during the stimulation of student culture are widely known such as self-disclosure, emotional response, personal contact (physical, visual, verbal, plastic, object-efficient) jokes, humor and others. The latter are very effective in removing emotional stress, eliminating aggressive or sad states of stress in relationships, and help enhance mental activity. Jokes activate distraction and relax empathy. The development of emotional intelligence in the student regulates that individual’s abilities and traits that are responsible whether the impact of emotional phenomena will be constructive or destructive behavior for the student. Developing emotional intelligence is inextricably linked to the communicative approach to language learning. The teacher should provide comfortable and effective communication between students in class, using the methods above, techniques and creating a positive atmosphere that promotes cooperation and helps develop confidence in students. Holistic education must involve the unity of intellectual and emotional areas. Also, this work is devoted to the analysis of existing classifications of dialogues, consideration of advantages and disadvantages of some of their types, to the coverage of methods of extracurricular work with students, their detailed analysis, and identification of their pluses and minuses. The model of the use of more appropriate combinations of types of dialogues is presented in order to achieve the most productive result in language learning. A model of formation of foreign communicative competence is offered. The practice of the proposed methods should allow students to unleash their potential, break language barriers, expand vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and most importantly – increase self-confidence.

Policing may lead officers to physical, psychological, and emotional distress. Nonetheless, there is an additional, albeit less studied, threat to officers' well-being. Moral risks, an umbrella term encompassing two interrelated moral struggles—moral distress and moral injury—exacerbate officers' emotional difficulties, spiritual distress, and job dissatisfaction, as well as increase the likelihood of officer misconduct. However, there are psychological interventions that help to minimize the intensity of the psychological and behavioral problems associated with these moral risks and facilitate officers' recovery from these difficulties. This chapter examines the utilization of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other techniques to treat the moral suffering of law enforcement personnel. It provides practical suggestions for using the strategies of these modalities to increase police officers' well-being.

The requirements for e-selection technology to be of practical use for Company T have been investigated. Company T’s main business is in identifying and seconding personnel, especially in the technical sector, and it had been anticipating a shortage in the supply of candidates. This served as the initial problem definition for this research. In order to cope with the expected situation, speed and accuracy were seen as of major importance in adopting e-selection. Using interviews, eleven issues were identified across two topics: namely, the use of web-based technologies, i.e., speed, and the use of personal characteristics, i.e., accuracy. These eleven potential problems were ranked using a focus group. Then, based on contemporary literature, solutions were proposed to counter these problems. Combining these solutions has led to a design in which it is proposed that valid psychological instruments should be applied and interpreted by skilled professionals. Further, extensive knowledge sharing is seen as vital when dealing with the large amount of tacit knowledge associated with the work at Company T. Finally, it was concluded that the web-based technologies should primarily support the core day-to-day work activities rather than be user-friendly or provide additional functionality.

It is claimed that automation of personnel management is expanding (monitoring compliance with requirements, profiling and assessing KPIs, predicting conflicts and violations), unmanned vehicles and other neural network automation are used in medicine, the transport industry and agriculture; smart technologies come to education (in Moscow, a system of predictive analytics of the digital footprint of students is being tested to optimize and target educational services, help orientate in the future profession). The use of cognitive technologies in the creation of expert, advisory systems, decision support systems provides not only convenience and savings in time and effort, but gives rise to a variety of organizational, economic, ethical, social problems, giving rise to new risks. This study provides an overview of intelligent technologies that are used in social management, threats associated with the practical use of intelligent automation tools and decision support, ways and measures to reduce some of the risks associated with these threats.

The paper considers psychological adaptation in the conditions of military service. The author argues that adaptation to a new social role, a new professional environment, and military relations requires a person to mobilize all his adaptive resources and developed self-regulation skills. As the main indicators of readiness for psychological adaptation, the adaptation experience of a serviceman in the pre-conscription period and psychological resistance to adaptation processes are considered. An indicator of psychological adaptation in the narrow sense of the word is the quality of the military personnel’s development of a military accounting specialty. As a result of psychological diagnostics and analysis of adaptive indicators of the subjects, all participants of the study were divided into three groups. The first group of military personnel needs additional time to fully master the military accounting specialty, because they have problems with psychological readiness to learn new types of activities, and they perceive the service situation as stressful and impossible for them. The second group includes military personnel who have shown a high level of development of military accounting specialty, but have insufficient psychological ability to adapt and have not had extensive experience of social adaptation in civilian life. The third group includes military personnel who demonstrate a high level of development of military accounting specialty in the initial period of military service. Recommendations on adaptation have been developed for each group, which are presented as a threelevel model of psychological adaptation of military personnel to the conditions of military service. The model is a complex of organizational, psychological, educational and professional activities aimed at the development of personal qualities of military personnel that contribute to improving the level of adaptive development. The implementation of the proposed model allows you to build working relationships in the military team; to form a belief in the need to improve the quality of knowledge for successful military professional activities; to successfully perform their professional military duties; to implement personal adaptation resources.

The article contains empirical findings regarding the correlation between aggressiveness and social-psychological adaptation in adolescents. In today’s world, the issue of aggression and violence remains relevant. To date, the world has faced a complex situation due to economic, ecological, and social problems, which preconditions a rapid rise in human aggressive behaviour. The issue of aggressive behaviour is of particular urgency among adolescents. Many of the factors underlying aggression in adolescence have not yet been sufficiently substantiated in the scientific community. Such insufficiently studied phenomena include the correlation between aggressiveness and social-psychological adaptation. Social-psychological adaptation means a personal state allowing to attain mutual contentment of a person and social environment. Empirical findings have revealed a correlation between aggressiveness and social-psychological adaptation. It was found that the more aggression and its various forms are expressed, the more maladaptivity is manifested in young adolescents. However, positive associations were found between forms of aggression and components of adolescent socio- psychological adjustment. In this case, aggression can act as a compensating factor for maladaptation. Further studies of the correlation between aggressiveness and social-psychological adaptation comprises, firstly, research into gender differences in the correlation between aggressiveness and social-psychological adaptation, and secondly, studies in other ages and social groups of respondents.

In the modern world, most people have various difficulties both in regulating their behavior and in establishing social contacts, and the more such difficulties, the more attractive for a person is communication in a virtual space. This article discusses the resource formats of personality in the context of digitalization: it analyzes in detail the strategies for coping behavior of men and women, the vector of their interpersonal communication, the level of adaptation and frustration of a person to modern social conditions of life , as well as the conditions for choosing a person to leave a real social group in communication in a virtual space. The leading research methods for this problem are diagnostic and static methods that reveal the presence of significant differences in the characteristics of personal resources and coping strategies of men and women in the context of digitalization. According to the results of an empirical study, our hypothesis about the presence of differences in coping behavior strategies, the severity of indicators of socio-psychological adaptation and social anxiety of participants in real and virtual groups was confirmed. It was found that women are more than men inclined to overcome negative experiences by subjectively reducing their significance and the degree of emotional involvement in them; men are less likely to distance themselves from experiences and problems through internal psychological work. As part of the study, differences were found in the severity of indicators of socio-psychological adaptation among participants in a virtual and a real group: participants in a virtual group are less adapted to social life, are more likely to experience emotional discomfort and are more difficult to accept other people and someone else’s point of view, but they don’t have social frustration observed. From the obtained results of the study, we can conclude that there are certain psychological difficulties in the data of the subjects, which are either compensated or replaced by participation in a virtual group.

ABSTRACT Background: Low Birth Weight (LBW) as babies born weighing less than 2500 grams. LBW continues to be a significant public health problem globally due to its short and long term effects on health. LBW is not the only leading cause of prenatal mortality and a cause of illness. Common causes of infant and neonatal mortality are low birth weight (LBW) and sepsis. One of the measures that can be given to babies with LBW is by using the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) method. This method is a free therapy that mothers can do because not all LBW babies are able to get health services using advanced technology. This study aimed to review mothers experience with low born weight infant. Subjects and Method: A scoping review was conducted by searching articles published from 2009 to 2019. The articles were collected based on 4 databases, including PubMed, Sciencedirect, Wiley, and EBSCO. The articles the reviewed using Preferred Reporting System for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) flow diagram. Results: Fifteen of the 394 articles met the inclusion criteria and were reviewed. The experience of mothers with Low Birth Weight (LBW) babies showed that mothers have several factors that can influence mothers with babies with LBW. The factors were lack of knowledge, lack of support from both family and health personnel, access to health facilities, maternal psychology, economic, socio-cultural, and environmental conditions. Conclusion: The readiness of maternal, psychological, socio-economic knowledge, access to health facilities, support, socio-culture, and environment are greatly affect the condition of the mother in carrying out her responsibilities as a mother. Scientifically substantiated personnel industry policy contributes to the implementation of an innovative development scenario, provides better results with reduced production costs, which determines the relevance of the studying. The main goal of the work was identified factors and indicators which have regulatory influence on the state and development of the personnel potential of the industry. Diagnostics of the labor potential of land reclamation by federal districts revealed leaders and outsiders of sectoral development. The studying made it possible to justify the steady trend of the shortage of reclamation personnel in comparison with the calculated indicators. Objective and subjective reasons and factors that hinder the effective using of the industry’s personnel potential are distinguished. The concept of industry’s labor potential is clarified. The studying of changes in labor productivity in agriculture has confirmed a twofold increasing in this indicator for the period from 2014 to 2018. Methodological approaches to the indicators of assessing the labor potential of the reclamation industry are substantiated. The groups of socio-economic indicators of the reclamation industry’s effectiveness are identified. The methodology for determining the quantitative characteristics of labor potential on irrigated lands is specified, which is depended on the area of irrigated lands. The labor potential of the reclamation industry in terms of staffing the industry is studied. The main positive and negative trends of the personnel policy and the labor potential’s formation of the agro-industrial complex’s reclamation sector of the Russian Federation are specified, the industry personnel policy is assessed as passive, which does not allow predicting the needs for industry personnel, evaluate staff activities and analyze personnel problems. Highlighted characteristic trends in personnel potential in the federal district and regions of the Russian Federation allow: to develop unified approaches to manage this industry development factor; to develop recommendations to improve the efficiency of advanced training and retraining of personnel in irrigated agriculture. The implementation of the recommendations will contribute to increase the efficiency of the managing the human potential’s process of irrigated agriculture at the level of federal, regional and municipal authorities of the reclamation sector of the agro-industrial complex of Russia.

Modernization of long-distance vessels, a decrease in the number of crews of ships, an increase in psycho-emotional stress, insufficient monitoring of compliance with safety and industrial hygiene requirements in the context of the transformation of the socio-economic way of life and the commercialization of the merchant marine fleet contribute to a decrease in the safety of navigation and an increase in the risk of consequences of adverse shifts in the health of seafarers long voyage. Studies have established that the specific conditions of long-term sailing contribute to the emergence and development of a wide range of neuropsychic and psychosomatic disorders, which is directly related to the causes of accidents at sea, the transition of highly qualified specialists to coastal work and the occurrence of severe chronic diseases in sailors. The variety and complexity of working conditions on long-distance vessels dictates the need to develop preventive and rehabilitative measures, taking into account the specifics of various types of work in the sea fleet. But until now, the scientific principles of preventive measures have not been formulated, requiring a systematic approach to protecting the health of the ship's personnel with the setting of specific and specific tasks in each period of production activity: on the shore and at sea. In connection with the search for the necessary modernization of the prophylactic medical examination system for long-distance sailors, the transformation of the entire medical service, the development of constructive measures and proposals for their implementation in the new economic conditions are in practice one of the urgent problems of ensuring the safety of navigation, which requires its scientific justification. The urgent need to preserve and strengthen the health of seafarers, as the main element of ensuring the safety of life of ships, determined the choice of the goal and objectives of this study.

The results of an empirical study of the socio-psychological age of female doctors of clinics that have successfully entered into the innovative format of development and clinics experiencing many years of difficulty in introducing innovations are presented. It is shown that the organizational culture of innovative clinics is characterized by a pronounced adhocratic component, and a clan-hierarchical model dominates in problematic clinics, therefore, the introduction of innovations is carried out by inconsistent administrative methods typical of this model. As a result, the personnel experiences a high level of stress, which makes them feel unwell, tired, it rejects innovations and strives to maximize the clan component of the organizational culture as a means of protection against the stress of innovative changes. The results are an «older» socio-psychological age and a low level of labour involvement, which, in general, shows the correspondence of the characteristics of the female personnel of problematic clinics to gender stereotypes. In innovative clinics, female personnel feel more alert, healthy and younger, shares, regardless of the chronological age, innovative values traditionally associated with younger ages, is personally involved in the work process and does not fall under the characteristics of gender stereotypes. It is shown that the socio-psychological age of female personnel and the value of readiness for innovation depend on the type of organizational culture. In the future, female doctors are oriented towards an innovative way of market development of their clinics, but not in the managerial paradigm that is currently being implemented by management. Successful management of the socio-psychological age and the introduction of innovation involve the abandonment of administrative methods, the prevention of the stress of organizational change and the establishment of innovative values as the basis of a new organizational culture.

The article examines the main features, general characteristics and essence of the concept of solutions journalism. The basic principles of functioning of this model of journalism in the western press and in Ukraine are given. The list and features of activity of the organizations, institutes and editorial offices supporting development of journalism of solutions journalism. The purpose of the publication is to describe the Solutions Journalism model: its features, characteristics and features of functioning, to find out the difference in the understanding of the concept of «solutions journalism» and «constructive journalism» in general. The task of the publication was to conceptualize the main trends in the development of solutions journalism in the Western and Ukrainian information space; show the main characteristics, formats of functioning and analyze the features of the concepts of «solutions journalism» and «constructive journalism». Applied research methods: at the stage of research of the history of formation of the concept of Solutions Journalism the historical method is used. The hermeneutic method of research helped in the interpretation of basic concepts, the phenomenological approach was applied in the context of considering the essence of the phenomenon of solutions journalism. At the stage of generalization of the features of the concepts of Solutions Journalism and «constructive journalism» a comparative method was used, which gave an understanding of the common components in their essence. The method of analysis allowed to expand the understanding of the purpose of Solutions Journalism as a type of social journalism and its main tasks. With the help of synthesis it was possible to comprehensively understand the concept of Solutions Journalism and understand its features. In Ukraine, this type of journalism is just emerging, but its introduction into the editorial policy of the media may have a national importance. These are regional and local media that can inform their communities about the positive solution of certain problems in other communities, and thus thanks to this model can save local journalism. In the scientific context, there is a need to outline the main differences in the understanding of the concepts of decision journalism and constructive journalism, to understand the socio-psychological need to create good news.
