The paper analyzes fundamental changes in the economy that take place nowadays as a result of digitalization and globalization of economic relations. The research hypothesis of the paper is a suggestion of the crucial role of transformation processes which can be compared to the Industrial Revolution. The research methods are: historical analysis, institutional analysis as well as systems analysis. The author tries to separate technological, economic and institutional dimensions of economic development. These dimensions center around such concepts as “type of the economy” (technological dimension), “socio-economic model” (economic dimension) and “mode of production” (institutional dimension). The author shows that the industrial type of economy corresponds to the market economic system that can develop under different modes of production — capitalism and statism. Likewise, the digital type of economy corresponds to the network economic system, the basis features being division of labour, direct long-term cooperation and information links between economic agents, trust-based relationships and interdependence. Special emphasis is made on transformation of basic institutions of the market economy as well as transition to the network economy. The author shows that such basic laws of the market economy as pricing, distribution of economic surplus and control over economic activity are no longer valid.

The article establishes the relationship between the function of sustainable economic growth in the informational productivity paradigm, which is the basis of the knowledge economy, and the modern interpretation of the economic content of entrepreneurship, which made it possible to draw a conclusion about the system-forming role of entrepreneurship in the formation of new socio-economic relations. In this regard, a refined definition of entrepreneurship based on the distinctive characteristics of its economic content is given. It is concluded that the new properties of informational socio-economic relations, the complication of their configuration and giving entrepreneurship a system-forming role in the knowledge economy, actualize the need for the development of network forms of organizing entrepreneurial activity.Methodological approaches to assessing the usefulness of one or another partner in the process of forming an inter-organizational alliance have been determined. It is proposed in the process of designing entrepreneurial networks to select potential actors using the methodology for assessing the network entrepreneurial potential of socio-economic systems of various levels. The definition of the network entrepreneurial potential of the territory is given.A method for a comprehensive assessment of the network entrepreneurial potential of a territory on the basis of a model that integrates the network entrepreneurial potential of business, the network entrepreneurial potential of civil society, and the network entrepreneurial potential of public administration, has been developed. The article presents a comprehensive assessment of the network entrepreneurial potential of the complex socio-economic system of the territory of the Russian Arctic, carried out using the proposed method. The territories of the Russian Arctic, the most attractive for the formation of entrepreneurial networks, have been identified based on the results of a comprehensive assessment of entrepreneurial potential and entrepreneurial potential of business, civil society and government.

Complex networks methodology has permeated the spheres of knowledge that deal with heterogeneous networks, introduced by Actor-Network Theory. In the context, cognition of macro socio-economic processes that have determinants, different in ontological sense, does not seem to be so efficient. The author addresses the twofold complexity of these phenomena. The author identifies different types of macro socio-economic complexity as various combinations of ontological and intrinsic network heterogeneities. Extant networks theories are classified in accordance with a particular type of complexity, with which they deal, and thereby the real background of these theories is revealed. The concept of twofold complexity and its types is applied to the economic category of value. The near-term prospects for the creation of Networks Economics are hypothesized. Networks Economics is viewed on as a theory of preferential attachment value interacting with the non-network mode of value.

The logic of the historical development of economic systems is revealed and the place and role of the modern, information-digital stage in it is clarified. In the industrial-market system of management the industrial-competitive, industrial-planned and industrial-marketing stages of development are distinguished. Information-network system goes through the information-analog, information-digital and neural network stages of its progress. The understanding of information as the content of the existence of one object in another is substantiated. The place and role of digitalization in the process of human interaction with the external environment are clarified. It is shown that three structural elements of human thinking (memory, formal logic and reason), formed as a result of internalization of objective connections of the real world, as a result of digital technology use they are exteriorized and transformed into virtual processes that take place outside the human head, although in interaction with it. Clouds, fog technologies and blockchains correspond to such a structural element as memory. The exteriorization of formal logic is due to cognitive technologies and augmented reality. The exteriorization of the actual mental functions of man is associated with the creation of artificial intelligence, which is based on Big Data. The forms of human development in the process of formation of information-network economy are shown: the digital men remains an entity that sets its own goals and comprehensively uses digital technologies to achieve them; the network men partially loses subjectivity, becoming dependent in its thoughts and actions on network information; the artificial men, who as a social being from the very beginning of human existence is such, unfolds its artificiality fully in its inorganic body and becomes a biotechnosocial being. The logic of transformations of basic institutions in the formation of information-network economy is clarified: the decisive importance passes from private ownership of material goods to universal ownership of information; hired labor is replaced by freely exercised labor; the distribution according to value and capital turns into distribution, which is carried out in the form of basic and rental income.

Abstract Okinsky district (the Republic of Buryatia, Russia) is characterized by entanglement of heterogeneous economies formed by the global demand for gold, Chinese values of jade, remnants of Soviet planning systems at the local and municipal level, traditional Soyot and Buryat land use practices, and nascent extreme and recreational tourist flows. In a situation when most of the economic and social relations remain informal and rarely captured in the official documents, landscapes become the most visible marker of changes and intersecting and sometimes conflicting networks of diverse multiscale relations. Using the interviews and in-situ observations we collected and analysed data on the pertinent social, cultural, and professional ties and examined local expectations on education, living conditions and economic prospects. Networking as a key conception has been used to untangle the complexity of the studied systems, interconnections and interdependencies of the system components. A new draft network model stimulates experts to assess if the changes planned for the regional development really benefit people in local communities, nation in whole and in global scale. In addition, the new discourse of ecosystem services motivates experts to discuss the prospects for the ecological specialization of the territories from different angles while preserving biodiversity.

Being able to assess the impact of government-led investment onto socio-economic indicators in cities has long been an important target of urban planning. However, owing to the lack of large-scale data with a fine spatio-temporal resolution, there have been limitations in terms of how planners can track the impact and measure the effectiveness of cultural investment in small urban areas. Taking advantage of nearly 4 million transition records for 3 years in London from a popular location-based social network service, Foursquare, we study how the socio-economic impact of government cultural expenditure can be detected and predicted. Our analysis shows that network indicators such as average clustering coefficient or centrality can be exploited to estimate the likelihood of local growth in response to cultural investment. We subsequently integrate these features in supervised learning models to infer socio-economic deprivation changes for London’s neighbourhoods. This research presents how geosocial and mobile services can be used as a proxy to track and predict socio-economic deprivation changes as government financial effort is put in developing urban areas and thus gives evidence and suggestions for further policymaking and investment optimization.

The disruption of an intercity transportation network will seriously influence the economic activities and communication between cities. At the regional or national transportation network level, in most cases, there is no link redundancy because of the high construction cost of the extra transportation infrastructure, so the impacts caused by the disruption of regional intercity transportation networks should be paid more attention. This paper proposes an accessibility-based method to analyze the vulnerability of multimode transportation networks. The measurement captures the influence of the disruption of network components in terms of the travel cost, socio-economic impacts, and level of transportation service of cities, and besides the network vulnerability analysis, it can also be used in the analysis of city relationships and development status of cities, providing a reference direction of the sustainable development for the city cluster. Finally, with the rapid application of high-speed trains in China, a preliminary study of the public transportation network of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region is conducted to illustrate the applicability of the evaluating method. The results show that the proposed measurement can be used to analyze the transportation network from the perspective of socio-economic impacts and level of transportation service, providing a reference for network planners and managers.

The article discusses modern approaches to modeling socio-economic systems and methods of modeling information flows that determine systems functioning in the information environment. Principles of modeling socio-economic systems are proposed based on considering the system as a fragment of the information network formed by a set of open interacting socio-economic systems. The properties of the socio-economic system are considered from the point of view of its inclusion in the network. The considered properties are associated not with the system name in the set, but with the functions that the system is endowed with in relation to other systems as elements of the network, which makes it possible to define such a network as a space. The concepts of a system neighborhood, which defines its near environment, and a contour as a chain of information flows, which determine the system inclusion in the information space, have been introduced. A model of digital information space is built as a system of neighborhoods that determines the topology in space. It is shown that the representation of the network as a topological space makes it possible to find for each socio-economic system such contours that determine the mission of the system in society. In this context, the task of management in the socio-economic system is formulated as maintaining its inclusion in these contours, which determines the place and importance of the system in meeting the needs of society, anticipating the emergence of new needs and inclusion in new contours to meet these needs.

The article is devoted to the formation of an array of data for the construction of an artificial neural network, designed to search for relationships between social and economic parameters of the development of regions of the Russian Federation. The relevance of research in this area is confirmed both by a large number of studies in the field of regional comparativistics and by the limited methods used in this kind of research, often limited to descriptive methods and basic techniques of parametric statistics. Under these conditions, the expansion of the mathematical apparatus and the more active introduction of information technologies (including in the area of Big Data analysis and the construction of predictive models based on artificial neural networks) can be viable. At the same time, however, it should be noted that the resources of an individual research team may be (and most likely will be) insufficient to create their own software solution for the implementation of machine learning algorithms from scratch. The use of third-party cloud-based software platforms (primarily IBM and Google infrastructures) allows to bypass the problem of the research team’s lack of expensive material and technical base, however they impose a number of limitations dictated by the requirements of the existing machine learning algorithms and the specific architecture provided platforms This puts the research team in front of the need to prepare the accumulated data set for processing: reducing the dimension, checking the data for compliance with the platform requirements and eliminating potential problem areas: “data leaks”, “learning distortions” and others. The paper was reported to the section “Sociology of Digital Society: Structures, Processes, Governance” of the International Conference Session “Public Administration and Development of Russia: National Goals and Institutions”.

The results of the study showed that the emergence of innovations is closely connected with collective collaboration, and that it is impossible outside of group dynamics. The process of self-organization and collective decision-making is realized through a synergistic interaction, which then transforms into the so-called “information laser” and serves as a basis for the emergence of innovation. Both individuals (as persons and as separate entrepreneurs) are the elements of the innovation system and the actors of the artificial neural network–socio-economic neural systems (SENS-systems). These systems act through self-organization and corporate collaboration, and the efforts of each element are amplified through the interaction with the other elements. Previous research has suggested that the advantages for cognitive control abilities in bilinguals are attenuated when socio-economic status (SES) is controlled (e.g., Morton & Harper, 2007). This study examined the effect of SES on cognitive control in illiterate monolingual and bilingual individuals who lived in adverse social conditions. We tested monolinguals and bilinguals using Simon and Attentional Network task while controlling for two potential confounding factors: SES and literacy. Bilinguals were faster for both trials with and without conflict demonstrating overall faster response times (global advantage) compared to monolinguals on both tasks. However, no bilingual advantage was found for conflict resolution on the Simon task and attentional networks on the Attentional Network task. The overall bilingual effects provide evidence for a bilingual advantage even among individuals without literacy skills and of very low SES. This indicates a strong link between bilingualism and cognitive control over and above effects of SES.

This paper examines the impact of childhood and adulthood socio-economic status (SES) on personal network characteristics in later life. Data are derived from 2,285 married older adults (born between 1903 and 1937) who participated in face-to-face interviews for the Dutch survey on ‘Living arrangements and social networks of older adults’ conducted in 1992. Childhood and adulthood SES were indicated by the father's and own level of education and occupation. Multivariate analyses showed that SES in adulthood has more impact on network features in old age than father's SES. People with low lifetime SES or with downward SES mobility had small networks, low instrumental and emotional support from non-kin, but high instrumental support from kin, when compared with the upwardly mobile or those with high lifetime SES. The level of education was a better indicator of network differences than occupational prestige. It is concluded that obtaining a high SES during life pays off in terms of having more supportive non-kin relationships in old age. The small networks and less supportive non-kin relationships of low-status older adults make them more vulnerable to situations in which kin are unavailable or less willing to provide support. This study underscores the distinction between types of support and types of relationships in the SES–network association. Further research on the social pathways of socio-economic inequality in health and wellbeing should take these distinctions into account.

Purpose The social network analysis of criminal networks at both the ego and socio-centric level is well established. This purpose of this study is to expand this literature with a social capital analysis of a criminal network. The focus of the analysis will be the recent egregious investment fraud of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities (BLMIS). Design/methodology/approach This research involves a case study of the BLMIS financial fraud. The article uses a social capital theoretical lens, with archival sources taken from the court records of Madoff v. NY to include victim impact statements and the defendant’s Plea Allocution. Findings Financial crime literature can be expanded with a social capital analysis which facilitates a socio-economic analysis of ego-centric criminal networks. Research limitations/implications Each financial crime is of its time; however, there are recurring socio-economic network characteristics that could be applied to develop an understanding of criminal networks. Practical implications Any understanding of financial crime, including contemporary instances of criminal innovation, such as cyber-crime, can be enhanced with a social capital analysis of criminal networks. This paper proposes a dynamic cascade model to investigate the systemic risk posed by sector-level industries within the U.S. inter-industry network. We then use this model to study the effect of the disruptions presented by Covid-19 on the U.S. economy. We construct a weighted digraph G = (V,E,W) using the industry-by-industry total requirements table for 2018, provided by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). We impose an initial shock that disrupts the production capacity of one or more industries, and we calculate the propagation of production shortages with a modified Cobb–Douglas production function. For the Covid-19 case, we model the initial shock based on the loss of labor between March and April 2020 as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The industries within the network are assigned a resilience that determines the ability of an industry to absorb input losses, such that if the rate of input loss exceeds the resilience, the industry fails, and its outputs go to zero. We observed a critical resilience, such that, below this critical value, the network experienced a catastrophic cascade resulting in total network collapse. Lastly, we model the economic recovery from June 2020 through March 2021 using BLS data.

The article discusses the theoretical and applied aspects of a new network-centric approach to managing social and economic structures under pandemic restrictions. The model is based on the use of modern information technologies and the network organization of information exchange. Networks are considered as aggregations of information-related structures consisting of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as various communities (youth, pensioners, professional and other organizations. The principle of self-synchronization in the network-centric construction of management of such structures is considered. The concept of “attractor” is introduced. The strategy of “borrowing” in the application of innovations diffusion mechanisms in the economy and social life of the Russia regions is justified. A multi-network scheme of innovative development of the socio-economic sphere is proposed, including the educational segment, among them - the development of electronic forms of education. It provides an opportunity to create an innovative infrastructure in our country using achievements in the development of business cooperation networks, as well as models of active influence on public consciousness in social networks. The article shows the important role of mathematical models of information propagation in social networks, taking into account territorial differences, for the effective management of socio-economic structures in the regions of Russia in the context of a pandemic. Dynamic functional dependencies are found that allow separating some settlements from others according to the degree of susceptibility of the population to the information influences of a socio-economic nature in social networks, which makes it possible to purposefully create and implement both economic and social programs, business policies in a particular cluster. Received geographically compact allocation of settlements across clusters allows in-depth to explore the causes of regional differences in the speed of information propagation, which opens the ways of informational influence on the regional economy, educational system, businesses, social formation (community of pensioners, youth structures, clubs of interest, etc.) with the purpose of their consolidation, formation of promising means and methods of doing business, stimulating the economy in the difficult conditions of the pandemic situation.

Research background: Modern cities often struggle with the problem of selecting an optimal model of development, which is adjusted to their needs and resources. A kind of response to this was the founding of the Cittaslow network, bringing together cities developing according to the slow city model. The Polish National Cittaslow Network was established in April 2007. The founders of the network were four cities from the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province (Biskupiec, Bisztynek, Lidzbark Warmiński and Reszel). The aim of the Polish National Cittaslow Network is to promote and spread the idea of good life by implementing in the cities appropriate solutions in the field of environmental policy, infrastructure, quality of urban life, hospitality and social cohesion. Currently, 28 cities belong to the Polish National Cittaslow Network. These cities are joined by a common idea and common goals adopted to improve the quality of the residents' life. However, each city has a different history, tradition, natural values, and also has a different socio-economic potential. Purpose of the article: The aim of the study was to assess the differentiation of the socio-economic potential of cities belonging to the Polish National Cittaslow Network. Methods: The research covered all member cities of the network. The synthetic index was used to assess the socio-economic potential of cities. The grouping of cities was carried out using the hierarchical Ward method. Findings & Value added: Differences in the socio-economic potential of the cities which belong to the Polish National Cittaslow Network are moderate. This is confirmed by the values of the synthetic index of this potential in each of the cities as well as coefficient value of its variation. Differences between the member cities were also verified by the results of grouping. As many as 7 groups were distinguished, including 2 composed of single entities. The conclusions arising from this research are as follows. Firstly, the slow city development model should be individually adapted to the capabilities of each city or group of cities similar to each other in terms of the socio-economic potential level. Secondly, the recommendations proposed in this study can make a useful contribution to discussions on the possible implementation of the slow city model in Poland, and its adaptation by individual cities. Furthermore, the research outcome can serve as a set of recommendations for Cittaslow member cities in other countries.

The article deals with the socio-economic prerequisites for the multifunctional school buildings formation, which is aimed at achieving the goals of sustainable community development. The unsatisfactory condition of the socio-cultural service network is one of the reasons for the migration of the rural population, which leads to the depopulation of rural settlements. An important task for sustainable development of rural areas is to build social infrastructure. A promising area of improving the socio-cultural institutions network is their formation on the basis of the principle of cooperation of resources. Integration of general secondary education institutions with health care institutions, extracurricular education, sports-wellness and cultural and educational institutions will provide an opportunity to establish social and cultural services in rural settlements, where the functioning of autonomous institutions is economically impractical or impossible. Under these conditions, the schools will function as community socio - cultural centers, and not only children but also the adult population will use multifunctional school buildings. Organization on the basis of general secondary education institutions of consultative points will provide an opportunity for the population of the community for a lifetime near the place of residence. This will allow the public to be involved in the activity of the general secondary education institution, and will reduce segregation phenomena in society. The socio - economic advantages of erection of multifunctional school buildings have been confirmed by scientific research and experience of their operation.

The article describes the use of digital twins in socio-economic processes using the example of predictive asset maintenance management. For this, the architecture of a distributed forecasting information system is proposed that collects data from digital twins and provides them with a pre-trained neural network model to obtain forecasts about the need for predictive maintenance. The article discusses two types of forecasts - about the remaining useful life and the possible failure of an asset in the considered time window. Computational experiments have been carried out, confirming that the proposed neural network model allows, due to the simultaneous training of solving two problems, to obtain more accurate forecasts than models trained to solve one problem.

In Ethiopia, infrastructure development remains one of the largely neglected areas of historical research. This paper, therefore, surveys the history of road building and its socio-economic impact in East Gojjam from 1941 to 2005. To this end, archival documents, oral information and secondary sources were consulted. The findings show that the post-liberation imperial period saw no significant development on the opening of new routes. Road construction reawakened during the military regime. It witnessed promising road networks that encompassed highway, feeder and rural roads. In contrast, road construction remained sluggish during the reign of the Ethiopian People Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) under discussion. The transitional government lifetime (1991-1995) was in particular a gloomy period. The failure of successive governments in expanding the road network emanated from economic, political, policy and related issues. Despite this, the impact of the nascent road network that extended all through the three regimes is clearly observable from the increasingly socio-economic interaction that appeared in the region and beyond.

We analyse the urban mobility in the cities of Medellín and Manizales (Colombia). Each city is represented by six mobility networks, each one encoding the origin-destination trips performed by a subset of the population corresponding to a particular socio-economic status. The nodes of each network are the different urban locations whereas links account for the existence of a trip between two different areas of the city. We study the main structural properties of these mobility networks by focusing on their spatio-temporal patterns. Our goal is to relate these patterns with the partition into six socio-economic compartments of these two societies. Our results show that spatial and temporal patterns vary across these socio-economic groups. In particular, the two datasets show that as wealth increases the early-morning activity is delayed, the midday peak becomes smoother and the spatial distribution of trips becomes more localized.

The modern approaches to modeling management in socio-economic systems and approaches to implement them in management support systems are considered. A model of management in the socio-economic system, considered as a fragment of the information network in which this system is immersed, is proposed. The interaction of the system with the network is formed by information flows that determine the state and functioning of the system in the network. The concept of the contour of the information network is introduced as a closed chain of information flows that ensures the functioning of each system of this contour. Management in the socio-economic system is formulated as the task of determining and maintaining by the system its place in these contours, i.e. its importance in meeting the corresponding needs of society, anticipating the emergence of new needs and inclusion in new contours to meet these needs. As characteristics of the contours that determine the current state of the system, the contour length, the contour connectivity strength, the contour potential and the number of contours, in which the system is included, are proposed. The set of values of the characteristics of the contours as a measure of the inclusion of the system in the network determines the stability of the existence of the system in its environment. Proposed principles for modeling management in the socio-economic system make it possible to take into account the interests of other socio-economic systems that compose the environment of this system, and to formulate the management goals not in terms of achieving the goals of the system itself, but in terms of its inclusion in the network, which guarantees sustainable functioning of the system.

The aim of the study is to use GIS tools and methods to identify the mobility trends of the members of the local communities of Šalčininkai district and surrounding areas and their impact on the local languages on the basis of socio-economic and socio-cultural parameters. The research material consists of: 1) survey data, on the basis of which the coefficients of the influence of attractions on the language were calculated; 2) statistical socio-economic data for 2020-2021; 3) geo-spatial data of Lithuania; 4) linguistic studies of Šalčininkai district. GIS tools and methods were used to assess the infrastructure of residential areas, a heat map of attractions with the greatest impact on linguistic shift was created based on the results of the survey, and a link network of Atlas of Lithuanian Language (ALL) points and infrastructures was implemented through accessibility analysis. Based on social network theory, the structure of socio-cultural networks and their influence on linguistic shift, as well as the influence of additional socio-economic and socio-cultural factors was assessed. The analysis has highlighted the linguistic, socio-economic and socio-cultural uniqueness of Šalčininkai district. The study area is a zone with a more internal mobility level: there is less migration between areas where different languages (Slavic and Lithuanian) are spoken, and more migration between different dialects (Eastern Aukštaitians of Vilnius and Southern Aukštaitians). However, due to the disappearance of ALL points in almost half of Šalčininkai district, the well-developed infrastructure in the district centre and the abundance of elderly communities in the district, the intensity of mobility is low. Therefore, all the areas surveyed can be considered socio-culturally non-isolated, but linguistically quite isolated. This ensures the survival and dominance of the Slavic language. The centre of the district – Šalčininkai (ALL 666) - is considered to be the most socio-economically and socio-culturally stable in the study area. However, this town attracts residents from socially unstable areas and residents of different dialects. This creates favourable socio-economic and socio-cultural conditions for the Slavic languages (partly also for Lithuanian dialects) to compete, but remain viable. The other ALL points in Šalčininkai district belong to the open zone, where the processes of shift in the characteristics of Slavic languages and/or Lithuanian dialects are taking place.

The residential sector was one of the contributors to the increase in the world energy consumption and CO2 emission due to the increase population, economic development, and improved living standard. Developing a reliable model of electrical energy consumption based on techno-socio economic factors was challenging since many assumptions need to be considered. Over the past decade, bottom-up approaches such as multi-linear regression, artificial neural network (ANN), and conditional demand analysis were used for developing mathematical models to investigate interrelated characteristics among techno-socio economic factors. However, the existing models mostly were focused on countries that had different socio-economic level and cultures from the developing countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Similar studies in that tropical region were very scarce and only limited for linear modelling under the conditions of techno-socio economic factors. In this study, we proposed ANN for developing a model of electrical energy consumption based on techno-socio economic factors for a tropical region, Malaysia. In order to develop the model, quantitative measurement and qualitative assessment were required. The quantitative measurement was based on the monitoring of total electrical energy consumption with a one-minute interval. In contrast, the qualitative assessment utilized a questionnaire survey to assess household characteristics based on techno-socio economic parameters. The objective of this paper was to propose a conceptual framework of the estimation model for household electrical energy consumption with the consideration of techno-socio economic factors using ANN.

Transport network upgrading in the country has recently been focused mainly on road and motorway networks. The goal of this paper is to contribute to existing approaches to transport infrastructure impact assessment. The paper presents selected results of qualitative research focused on an analysis of the R1 expressway (as a part of TEN-T network) and its impacts on the economic, social and environmental dimensions of life at the local territorial level. The paper also seeks to answer the basic question, whether and to what extent the new section of the expressway brings any stimuli to regional or local development. Qualitative research realized by field sociological methods has shown new data and information necessary for a complex assessment of transport infrastructure impacts on social and economic development of regions. We assume that these impacts should not be based purely on mathematic and statistical research methods.

In a regional network, the graph branches that describe it are not loaded equally with data traffic. A branch that is loaded with traffic will depend on: the number of users in both nodes of the graph, the number of paths that pass through that branch which are defined by the algorithm for finding the shortest path, the position of the branch in the network as well as the position of WAN in other neighbors’ networks. The traffic on the branches that connect the nodes of a network is constantly changing. It is important to know the maximum load of a branch in order to adapt to the demand so that there are no communication barriers. The calculation of data traffic in these branches is possible to be calculated and to know the maximum traffic limit in the respective branches. The branches that are busiest with data traffic represent the backbone of the Network. The calculation of the bandwidth of the branch is affected not only by the number of users but also by their structure. In this paper, bandwidth calculation on a main branch in a graph is done through a case study using SEI.
