Purpose: Identification of the heuristic significance of radicalism and solidarity as elements of the Russian civilization concept, not only within the framework of a unified, strictly fixed theory, but as universal intellectual tools of a modern socio-humanitarian vision of historical reality. Methodology: The basis of the work is a civilizational approach, which allowed to most effectively evaluate the interesting aspects of the social development of Russian civilization. Main Findings: The authors revealed the specific content of national manifestations of radicalism and solidarity in a philosophical and historical context. The most important manifestations of the social aspirations of key mega-objects of Russian history: the ethnic group, the state and the church are analyzed. When considering the historical specifics of the designated vectors of civilizational dynamics, attention is drawn to the role of individuals in the process of activating or deactivating the indicated directions of Russia development. Novelty/Originality: The authors revealed the specific content of national manifestations of radicalism and solidarity in a philosophical and historical context. The tendency towards radical and solidary forms of interaction among the participants in the civilization process, especially at the tragic moments of historical changes, was a special form of manifestation of social dynamics. Its total completeness, expressed, among other things, through the acceleration or deceleration of the adaptation to historical reality processes, became a state of self-disclosure of specific subjects of social action, acting as vehicles of unknown metahistorical forces.

The purpose of the paper is to develop a theoretical and methodological justification for the pedagogy of sport as an independent direction in the scientific study of general pedagogy. Methods include the analysis of the socio-cultural phenomenon of “sport (sport activity)” using the conceptual provisions of social philosophy, the sociology of labor and the socio-cultural concept of health formative education (Yu. V.Naumenko). Results. The socio-cultural difference of close (but not related) phenomena of “physical culture” and “sport (sports activity)” is substantiated in the paper. A new socio-cultural interpretation of the concepts of “sport (sports activity)”, “sports competitions” and “sports training” as manifestations of the universal human culture is proposed. The content of humanistic, creative and value-regulating functions of sports (sports activity) as a part of the universal culture is revealed. The author describes the person-oriented and the resource-pragmatic attitudes to sport (sports activity) and their manifestation in practice (in particular, in relation to children’s sports). It is proved that the socio-cultural phenomenon of “sport (sports activity)” is a manifestation of labor (professional) activity in the social and humanitarian sphere, which is both a subject to the general laws of labor activity and possesses specific features. The object and subject of studying the pedagogy of sports (sports activity) as an independent direction of general pedagogy are formulated. The research problem and theoretical and practical tasks of sports pedagogy (sports activity) are specified.

The article suggests that there are two different levels of skills and opportunities for professional interaction between a helping specialist and subjects of the educational process. The first level of skills involves ensuring safe interaction through the manifestation of tolerant attitudes and behaviour through the ethical regulation of activities within a professional role. The second level involves the emotional, personal inclusion of a specialist in professional interaction through the manifestation of special personal qualities (mercy, empathy, empathy), which provides a healing effect through deep personal interaction. Weanalyse Russian socio-cultural and ideological characteristics of help, based on mercy and empathy. European and Russian ideas about the content of the training of specialists in helping professions, going back to the peculiarities of the religious beliefs of three Christian denominations, which define the meaning of assistance both in the east and in the west, are compared. It is shown that the Russian experience of assistance focuses on the internal motives of help and sacrificial love, which provides a deep personal level of professional interaction. The conclusion is made about the need for a scientific study of traditional Russian experience in order to create programmes for developing future helpers with personal readiness education for effective professional interaction at the second level.

Communication is immensely dynamic in the 21st century as evidenced by the fast-changing communication mechanisms. However, global trends show that oral communication skills are still considered among the most desired skills that employers are seeking in the workplace. Thus, there is a need to explore the manifestation of the socio-cultural components of the personnel, namely: behavior, attitude, and etiquette in their oral communication practices particularly the informal manner, as the components bear a significance when they engage in such form of communication interaction. Direct observations of thirty-eight episodes of the teaching and non-teaching interactions of the personnel were noted followed by a Focus Group Discussion with seven selected personnel that validated the results of the observed manifestation of their socio-cultural components and likewise explored other underlying factors that shaped and developed their socio-cultural components. Behavior (facial expressions) and etiquette (voice tone) components mainly dominated in their interactions, yet the attitude component is also significant to them. The manifestation of these components is situational given their respective upbringing during childhood as a major perceived aspect that established these components. A desirable manifestation of these components is encouraged when engaging in informal oral communication interactions so to become a competent communicator in the workplace.

The article deals with the peculiarities of the manifestation of extremism among young people. It is noted that modern youth is not ready for both economic and social upheavals, which leads to spontaneous protests and aggressive forms of behavior, the extreme of which is extremism. It is noted that extremist manifestations among minors can be attributed to acts of delinquent behavior. It is argued that the study of the process of formation of extremist ideology in the youth environment should be complete and comprehensive, if its integral, differential and dynamic characteristics are considered. The article describes the social, cultural and communication factors that influence the spread of extremist ideology. Attention is focused on socio-political, socio-demographic, socio-cultural and socio-psychological reasons. Personal, socio-pedagogical and situational conditions for the formation of extremist behavior of young people are shown. It is concluded that understanding the peculiarities of determining extremist behavior of young people makes it easier to plan preventive measures and predict a surge in the number of extremist offenses among young people.

This study investigates the socio-cultural integration of resettler and host communities in Kuti resettlement site in Gimbo woreda one of the resettlement sites selected for the 1985/86 resettlement program. The study was conducted with 20 participants selected from the resettled and host communities. The premise for the selection of the mentioned study site is the absence of prior research in the site and to add some additional knowledge on few researches done in socio-cultural integration aspect of resettlers in general. The research follows the procedures of an exploratory case study design in examining the experiences of socio-cultural integration between the host and resettler communities. Unstructured interview guide and two FGD sessions were used as the data collection instruments. Content analysis technique was applied in this study. This technique used to analyze their socio-cultural experiences and the perceptions towards each other. Three key findings are emerged from this study. The first is that both the resettler and host communities generally have positive regard towards each other. The second finding showed that different strategies of socio-cultural integration are used by the communities such as: intermarriage, sharecropping and adoption of cultural practices. The third major finding showed that the two greatest challenges to integration are lack of equal political participation and stereotyping by both communities. In conclusion, the study findings showed that there are aspects of socio-cultural integration which were manifested socially and culturally. The social manifestations included: intermarriage, God parenting, friendship, sharecropping, borrowing and lending. The cultural manifestation pertained to the adoption of different cultural practices by both communities. The challenges of integration were also perceived by the participants as resolvable in the long run and not severe to threaten future prospects for further integration.

The possibility of direct communication between a huge number of non-public people on the open Internet platform, coupled with the ability to observe this process, which is being implemented by even more people, is the catalyst for the emergence of virtual socio-cultural worlds – conditional groups that are united by a single meaning and value field. Motive-target analysis of comments and feedback on comments on the open Internet platform “Zen” showed that one of the key semantic messages, which encourages a huge number of our compatriots to respond on the Internet and thus the manifestation of the most significant, essential points of their worldview, is the leitmotif of the importance of moral values and the requirements of their conformity at all levels of social and personal life. The mass participation of our compatriots in communication interactions on open Internet platforms is a variant of civic participation in its new, modern form, in which optimal conditions for self-determination, social adaptation and socialization arise. The key to the social significance of the meanings “living” here are the key supports for a person and society associated with traditional moral values, ideas and traditions. Control by state regulatory structures over the criteria for assessing blogs that analyze socio-political events and problems seems appropriate and socially significant. The reasons for their closure (“banning”) should be understandable, reasonable and transparent for all participants in communication interactions.

This work focuses on the study of the Spanish author's song in the last third of the 20th century, from a perspective of cultural history and sociology, based on socio-political, socio-economic and socio-cultural elements as engines of analysis. To do this, we have relied on a corpus of fifteen singer-songwriters selected for their popularity and successful sales to the Spanish public in order to delve about the gears of the record industry, as well as in relations with the institutions in this period of political changes with the passing of a dictatorship to a democracy. To do this, you have to study the different spaces of the author song in a comparative way with the spaces of the Spanish song. These spaces can be physical such as concert venues or the media on which records or media such as radio, television and the press are recorded. It is necessary to analyze all this in a comparative way to see the distinctive signs between both songs and the common points that allow to see the influences and interferences of the market and the mediatization in the singer-songwriters. At the same time, we must place the author's song and its performers in the history of the contemporary Spanish song and see how a genre that might be born as a counterculture is transformed over time and integrated as an active part and motor of the evolution of the Spanish song of the last years of the 20th century. Given this transformation, it should be borne in mind that the political and poetic elements that, in the beginning were the defining characteristics of the genre have also evolved over time, being able to talk about a depoliticization and a depoetization of the Spanish author's song in the last thirty years of the 20th century

Scarce attention has been paid to the dimension of sound and its essential role in constructing image, culture, and identity in Chinese film and media. China in the Mix fills a critical void with an original, pioneering study of the connections and intersections of film, media, music, and popular culture in contemporary China under postsocialist reform, capitalist globalization, and hybridization. It explores fascinating topics, including appropriations of popular folklore in the Chinese new wave of the 1980s; Chinese rock ’n’ roll and youth cinema in fin de siècle China; the political-economic impact of free market imperatives and Hollywood pictures on Chinese film industry and filmmaking in the late twentieth century; the reception and adaptation of hip hop; and the emerging role of Internet popular culture and social media in the early twenty-first century. This book examines the articulations and representations of mass culture and everyday life, concentrating on their aural/oral manifestations in contemporary Chinese cinema and in a wide spectrum of media and cultural productions. The research offers the first comprehensive investigation of Chinese film, expressions, and culture from a unique, cohesive acoustic angle and through the prism of global media-cultural exchange. It shows how the complex, evolving uses of sound (popular music, voice-over, silence, noise, and audio mixing) in film and media reflect and engage the important cultural and socio-historical shifts in contemporary China and in the increasingly networked world.

AbstractAssessing present social and biophysical conditions of communities that are at risk of injury due to extreme weather events is an important component of creating future visions of resilience. Spatial patterns of vulnerability to extreme events are manifestations of structural injustice that leave their mark on the built environment and in socio-spatial segregation patterns. Socio-spatial inequity often arises from development practices that favor particular racial and ethnic social groups over others. These segregation patterns are aligned with patterns of exposure to pollution, extreme weather events, and other types of environmental hazards. Spatial vulnerability assessments can be powerful tools for prioritizing where and how cities should make investments for mitigating the impacts of extreme events, and can provide an entry point for asking more fundamental questions about the processes that produce patterns of climate inequity, as well as how to avoid reproducing such processes in the future. Maps express uneven distributions of risk and manifestations of structural inequality in social–ecological–technological systems (SETS). They enable communities to visualize distributional injustice, consider ways in distributions that may be misaligned with cultural values, and develop adaptive practices toward climate justice. Here, we demonstrate approaches for assessing vulnerability to extreme flooding and heat, and show how vulnerability distributions are embedded in landscape patterns that produce uneven risk.

AbstractSuburbanisation as a global phenomenon has presented multifaceted patterns of evolution and transformation in various contexts. Migrant settlements in suburban spaces just add more complexities to suburbia by bringing diverse demographics, (inter)cultural practices, new built forms, and new meanings of space and community. These migrant spaces challenge conventional suburban socio-spatial organisations of land, infrastructure, and resources as well as suburban governance, planning, and design. The manifestations of migrant suburbs where diversity and urban growth are juxtaposed inevitably present profound implications for governments, practitioners, and academics in a myriad of ways, such as changing land uses and physical forms (e.g. neighbourhood characters), competing claims for space and rights to the city (e.g. who has the access), and increasing awareness of equity and social inclusion (e.g. who belongs to and in the community). This chapter draws on the migration-related suburbanisation processes in different contexts and applies the theory of the production of space to cast light upon the narratives of everyday suburban life, diversity management, growth and development, policy and governance, and socio-spatial (in)equity and (in)justice.

AbstractIn the final chapter we conclude the book by restating the nature of Indigenous Law, as the localised configuration of a social, ecological, geographical and ancestral world. Law is held in language, song and ceremony, which delineate a people’s physical and metaphysical territory. In contemporary colonised settings, Indigenous struggles for justice, sovereignty and self-determination are mediated through western frameworks and languages which erase the substance of Indigenous Law in and of itself. Indigenous people are faced with the dilemma of fighting for their family and their Country on terms and within systems that continue to obliterate and marginalise the realpolitik of their Law. In this concluding chapter we encourage researchers, artists, decision-makers, service providers and others who work with Indigenous peoples to seek out respectful relational encounters with Indigenous knowledges and Laws. This means forming relationships with people and communities in situ over extended periods of time wherever possible. As we have demonstrated, Indigenous Law continues to evolve and change in its manifestations between generations in the context of rapid socio-cultural change. However, Law also continues to govern the day-to-day negotiation of politics, people and identity within and between Indigenous communities. Decision-makers of all stripes working with Indigenous communities will benefit from a pluralistic disposition in seeking to better understand the communities they work alongside, and the Country on which they stand.

Normative learning for normalized work from workplace e-learning happens through informationalization of roles and skills as well as the convergence of rules and competencies, for a knowledge-based workplace. Workplace ‘form’ is relevant for workplace e-learning, both as a space for doing work and ultimately for undertaking workplace adult education and training. Workplace form designs have progressed in tandem with changes in society be they social, cultural, political, technological, or economic. In the early 21st century, as workplace form designs again advance to accommodate diverse, global workforces and information and communication technologies (ICTs), workplace e-learning too is impacted. The manifestation of workplace form into daily organizational life depends on particular types of values, capabilities, and organizational structures. What becomes clear is that each workplace form design (as a space for work and learning) may lead to the development of several organizational structures (as specific sites for work and learning). Each form of workplace design and organizational structure also comes with inherent value propositions that lead to the development of specific capabilities based around the fulfillment of key success factors. Workplace e-learning and workplace adult education and training are becoming progressively more normative as workplace forms and organizational structures evolve and change. This is happening more often and as a direct consequence of the convergence and informationalization of skills and competencies from organizational structural development and value propositions. All these hold certain ramifications for normative learning; normalized work; the global workforce doing the learning and the work; and, workplace e-learning.

In the previous chapter we argued that the conception of creatio ex nihilo is the determinant of hierarchy and stratification in Judaism and Christianity; Islam teaches that God created divisions as a way for human beings to recognize each other. The metaphysical origin of sociality and the reality of tribal and clan structure are reflected in the Islamic conception of community, gamaat; on a larger scale it is called ummah. Members in Islamic ummah are set apart from non-Muslims. This is dissimilar to the ancient Judaic racial and ethnic symbiosis which came to be known as the “chosen people,” an early manifestation of stratification in monotheistic religions. Among the Muslim scholars of the Middle Ages, Ibn Khaldun approached the objective foundations of sociality, attending to an implicit conception of stratification by appropriating detached observational methods to explain the rise and fall of dynasties. Principally, his work demonstrates the possibility of synthetically a posteriori, based on his personal experience and analytical a priori by which he asserted that the rise and fall are part of the definition of all dynasties. However, since Ibn Khaldun's day, our notion of the objects of structure and function of societies requires that we distinguish many variables in order to understand Islamic societies – particularly the way that their stratification systems are affected by globalization, or their transition toward, or their opposition to modernity. Using geometry metaphorically, it is true that we have departed from Euclidian theorems with the advent of various geometries. Yet Euclidian geometry still has many functions, a point that amplifies the intersections of both Euclidian and non-Euclidian geometries. Notwithstanding the various intersections among political, economic, religious, cultural and social matrices that provide multiple logics to understand the operations of societies, the Khaldunic notion of rise and fall has survived to this day.

Modern sport, as a prominent social event in contemporary society capable of mobilizing millions of people across the planet, appears to the researcher as a relevant object of study. This is because, not only is it a central activity in contemporary societies, but it is one of the most widespread phenomena of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. This work intends to seek and obtain some answers to the central role that modern sport seems to have, through the ideas of sociocultural homeostasis of neurobiologist António Damásio. We will argue that modern sport is a socio-cultural manifestation of biological homeostasis which, in the form of feelings such as fear and motivation, embodies new ways of strengthening the body and new ways of achieving greater well-being. That is, modern sport is the result of unconscious biological mechanisms that, mediated by consciousness through emotions and feelings (like fear and motivation), act in the sociocultural space in order to create devices of homeostatic balance. As we will demonstrate, during the twentieth and twenty-first century, several studies proved the benefits of modern sport in health, which helped to strengthen the effectiveness of modern sport in combating, preventing and treat physical and mental illnesses. In sum, we will argue that modern sport is a sociocultural way of regulate the body homeostasis.

This chapter provides a polite critique of the conventional ways of thinking about space and the intertwined dialectics of the socio-spatial narratives. Conventionally, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) main document on the Creative Cities Network (UCCN) emphasizes two crucial pillars of sustainable development and urban regeneration which are creativity and culture. The first term deals with creative cities and urban areas, while the second addresses culture as the human product that takes either a tangible or an intangible form. Regarding the meaning of activities in contemporary human society, one of the aims of this chapter is to decode the cultural activities in the city of Basel in Switzerland. In other words, this chapter is about exploring some aspects of the cultural life and creativity in the ancient city of Basel from a sociological perspective. Theoretically, Basel's culture of festivals and carnivals could be seen as the fundamental quality that brings the people of the city together. For instance, the cultural features of Basel Fasnacht, Morgenstreich, and Basel Herbstmesse reveal highly important aspects of the tangible and intangible dimensions of the culture of Basel as an ancient, medieval European city dating back to the 4th century AD. Methodologically, this chapter aims to represent and produce anthropological knowledge using visual media of research through the methodology of the “Actor-Network Theory”. This method of research comprises three main steps: 1) collecting visual ethnography, 2) designing the Actantial model based on Aristotle's semiotic square, 3) creating visual storyboarding to finalize the Actantiality map through analyzing power dynamics among the human narratives, the historical and cultural narratives, the spatial-environmental narratives, and the official narratives of the state. The main findings of this chapter may confirm or rebut the author's two hypotheses, stating “the city's identity is a mutual manifestation of human-spatial interaction,” and “not all creative cities have to be modern ones; some ancient cities are indeed creative cities based on their cultural, historical and social uniqueness.”

The introductory section opens with a discussion of Lars von Trier’s 2011 film Melancholia, examining this text’s significance as part of a broader cultural moment in which the depressive episodes of white women are used to provide commentary on the moral decay of the Western world. It situates the book’s analysis within the fields of postfeminist media studies and critical race and whiteness studies. The Hollywood manifestation of postfeminist melancholia is attributed to several factors, including a resurgence of interest in feminist politics, conflicts in US race relations, and the shifting image of the US internationally. It then argues for the examination of this cinematic figure’s relationship to a politics of white hegemony, briefly exploring Hollywood’s history of utilising stories involving ethnic appropriation as a means of assuaging national anxieties associated with earlier socio-political movements, such as the civil rights movement and sexual revolution.

Sufism is the philosophical-theoretical teaching and socio-cultural practice of the model of God-World-Human relations based on the Sharia-Creation-Truth-Evolution-based evolution scheme. The sufism forms the core of the Sufi teaching concept of "Imam Ali". This concept plays the role of nuclear and concentration center, covering all manifestations and expression levels of the system of sufism. The concept of "Imam Ali" plays a formulas of socio-cultural organization by bringing together all the elements of imaginative systems as a moral idea. The concept of "Imam Ali" shows itself in all the manifestation levels of the Islamic world. It is impossible to imagine medieval classical poetry beyond that. Even beyond the concept of "Imam Ali", the cultural manifestations contradicting him must also be based on literary-art traditions based on this concept. One of the cultural space and codes of use that all the artistic-psychological freshness of the concept of "Imam Ali" is Azerbaijan's love epics. The content, idea and shaping of the love epics of Azerbaijan are directly related to Imam Ali's cult. There are two heroes of this epic: Lover and Beloved. Lover and Beloved, and the opponent (Antihero), according to our own observations, are instructed by God-Human-Satan trixotomic model. On the basis of the functional structure stands the mechanism of the struggle between Truth and False, the Good and Evil, the Good and the Evil. It may be said that the video games are a topical form of socio-cultural manifestation, because they make available to its public the means necessary for the inter-cultural and international communication (efficient communication channels and favorable social context), which then facilitate the appearance of new communities. These elements are worthy of being considered by the social sciences and also by the communication sciences, because communities of this kind are more numerous and more complex. They evolve along with the Internet as well as other types of modern media depending on the technological progress. Video games (the games developed for desktop systems and portable devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones) have become a significant industry for the XXIst century due to the fact that in time they have constantly evolved and have managed to impose in the present time dominant media cultures. Along with their appearance numerous questions have surfaced regarding the impact of games on society, on the social environment, and also questions regarding the interactive processes and active audiences. Same as all the other new media, the video games, in their evolution, have borrowed elements and have adapted to the socio-cultural variety. The gaming industry was mainly shaped around the techno culture, our contemporary society being saturated by technology . Just like all the other histories, the video games history has been challenged in its turn by the specialists in the field. Seen in the most general way, the history is created and transmitted by people, who are being subjective most of the times. Considering these factors, it's clear that the history of video games is also comprised of a variety of fragmented information, which was and is being challenged to some extent. However, it is certain that the history of the Internet as well as the history of video games, are complex histories, that have developed depending on the technological context and evolution

The article presents the study of the literary text from the discursive perspective. Taking into account that the speech is the place of the manifestation of the communication relationship which is very valuable for the achievement of the educational objectives, students can achieve professional performance starting from studying the discursive tools. The discursive approach constitutes a new tendency within the methodology of the English language and refers to the analysis of the literary text by means of discursive strategies. The literary text is oriented, in this sense, towards action, highlighting the functions of updating and reporting to the concrete communicative situation. In this light, the discursive strategies represent the linguistic resources used by the author in order to maximize the effectiveness of the messages. Such strategies are recurrently located in various discursive dimensions and are not limited to oral communication. Although they are not arbitrary strategies, their application in different contexts depends on the social and cultural context of the interlocutors. Thus, the text relates to socio- discursive formations, social interactions and the conditions of its production.

Being a social presence, people participate in social life in the public spaces of the city. In these areas, they are in perceptual and physical contact with each other and get the opportunity to socialize. Social life culture contributes to urban culture and urban identity while keeping communities together. Cities creates areas for people to express themselves outside of their basic needs. The art used in the expression of an emotion, design and beauty has been included in our socio-cultural life in public spaces over time. Public art, which provides social, physical, environmental and economic contributions to the society and the city, is a manifestation of a multi-layered and multi-dimensional expression that includes different representations. Public art representations are important urban images and are the sensory components of collective memory. Today, in the process where the cities start to look alike, public art representations identified with the place make sense of the space and contribute to the identity of the city. In our study, the approach of landscape architecture to this subject will be evaluated by making important public art representations and city readings.

The formation of the urban identity of an individual resident and of the urban community as a whole is multi-determined. In socio-psychological research, perceptions of the main factors of its formation can be summarised through geographical, historical, spatial, individual-personal and socio-cultural characteristics. The objective of our study was to describe the role of territorial and temporal factors (place of birth and the duration of dwelling in a city) in the formation and manifestation of emotional, cognitive, motivational and behavioural parameters of the urban identity of residents. The City questionnaires and the Tomsk City Identity Questionnaire adapted by the authors were used to collect empirical data. The data was processed by means of a single-factor analysis of variance and the Student’s T-test. As a result, specific traits of city image formation in the vision of newcomer residents, and its indigenous residents were revealed, which confirms the relevance of the factors under study. It has been established that the image of the city and perceptions of its potential depend largely on the territorial and temporal indicators of the respondent’s residence in the urban space. Place of birth determines the cognitive component of urban identity to a greater extent, while the length of residence determines the emotional and motivational component. The findings allow the temporal and spatial context to be considered in the development of the city brand and the modernisation of urban space. Further researches are planned to include sample differentiation based on the place of birth by settlement type.

Annotation:
The vernacular architecture of the Aeolian Islands can be seen as the result of a stratification of empirical knowledge, linked to socio-economic, cultural, and environmental needs of local communities. This homogeneous and specific heritage is characterised by a constructive code which is the direct expression of the necessities dictated by the geo-morphological context, the environmental conditions and the availability of local resources. These constraints have strongly influenced the local “modus aedificandi”, characterised by an intrinsic sustainability. In particular, adaptation to local orography and climate, and to main wind directions, has promoted the adoption of several bioclimatic strategies (as the use of massive walls and roofs, cross ventilation and shading systems provided by verandas/porches) and of resources reuse (like rainwater collection). The smart use of traditional and locally available natural building materials for the realisation of the main constructive elements is another manifestation of this heritage sustainability. But the arrival of "modernity" (closely linked to industrialisation) has often compromised these aspects, neglecting the concept of continuous maintenance, choosing new, synthetic and (quite often) not compatible materials for recovery interventions, repurposing spaces and substituting and/or altering original uses. This contribution highlights the sustainability of Aeolian architecture and the traditional technical solutions used in this peculiar archipelago composed by volcanic islands. It also reports some "bad practices" introduced in the 60s and 70s to refurbish traditional buildings. Finally,a programmatic and more conscious approach to the recovery of Aeolian architecture, by the use of more compatible and sustainable interventions, is proposed. This choice is fundamental to respect the memory of vernacular heritage in general and, in particular, of Aeolian one, included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list since 2000.

Introduction This paper intends to propose a thinking about art and science as different manifestations of human culture. Objective and Method Goal of this paper, through analysis and observation, is to underline how art and science are interpenetrated so as to interface, inspire and influence each other. [1] (Arieti S., Creativita. La Sintesi Magica. Il Pensiero Scientifico, Italy, 1979) Intuition is what promotes and moves art and science. this is the basis of creativity and man, through him, supposes and glimpses reality by giving it shape. This work also intends to demonstrate how the artist is often a forerunner of sociocultural values (Fusco-Tomassoni) Topic This paper concerns mental mechanisms, which underlie the work of artists and scientists and show both an analogy between science and art, and their common origin with the elaboration of abstract thought and the sophisticated representation of the world. Conclusion In conclusion, if the scientific version of the world has significantly influenced art in general and, even more literature, the literary work of art, as Italo Calvino states, would be the map of the world and of science. In the same way art has influenced science, for example Gould, in elaborating the concept of "contingency" and its role in the structure of biological evolution, was inspired by the structure of the dome of the Basilica of San Marco in Venice. Moreover, art and science often capture the spirit of the times in unison and, especially the artist, can be a forerunner of socio-cultural values by sensing new realities, out of their own time, but in any case by making a synthesis between conscious and unconscious. A ciociarian artist of the twentieth century, a certain Michele Rosa, expresses the figuration of the unconscious and the irrational, he senses the historical and cultural development of peoples. through informal painting, in fact, this artist, anticipating the times, shifts attention to the negative consequences of pathogens, such as viruses, long before what would have been the current Covid-19 pandemic.

This article deals with the problem of conflicts in adolescence, which in the modern socio-cultural space has acquired unprecedented relevance. Dynamically changing society from day to day, dictates its own rules in the adolescent environment. Differences in views, preferences, thoughts and worldview are acutely perceived within the adolescent group. Due to the age and physiological characteristics that occur at this age, adolescents often do not know how to control their behavior and correctly respond to emerging controversial situations. All this sets the task of teachers and psychologists to help the teenager, to teach him a rational way out of the conflict, as well as to carry out preventive measures, to create programs to reduce the level of negative manifestations.
