I motsats till andra industrier illustrerar AEC hög fragmentering, motståndskraft mot förändringar och betydligt lägre antagande av nya teknologilösningar än andra industrier. Den mycket störande karaktären hos den kommande tekniska revolutionen i den fjärde industriella revolutionen (4IR) i AEC sektorn och behovet av ett effektivt genomförande av tekniska innovationer förnyas i begreppet Construction 4.0. Den tekniska vågen som förväntas uppstå med 4IR kan därefter innebära både möjligheter och hot i tekniska, organisatoriska, individuella, samhälleliga och hållbarhetsperspektiv. Denna avhandling fokuserar på två huvudsteg. Det första steget är bedömningen av AEC-industrin mot ett framgångsrikt genomförande av 4IR i branschen. Det andra steget är tillägnad en horisontell och vertikal integration av Construction 4.0 som överväger teknikens sociala perspektiv. Kvalitativa forskningsmetoder som litteraturgranskning och intervjuer med PESTELE ramverket har tillämpats för att samla in data som kommer att analyseras med TOE och Social Construction of Technology Theory (SCOT). Denna studie har insett behovet av att utveckla ett omfattande tillvägagångssätt för AEC-industrin baserat på samhällsstrukturen och identifierat behovet av horisontell och vertikal bedömning av de involverade sociala och yrkesgrupperna.

Tillhörande Akademin för innovation, design och teknik på Mälardalens Högskola i Eskilstuna. Arbetet utfördes under vårterminen 2019. Examensarbetet omfattar en utveckling i projektform, av ett designförslag till två konstruktioner. Konstruktionernas syfte är att möjliggöra byggprocesser för skapandet av rätvinkliga byggelement till ett byggsystem för återvinningsbara elementhus. Byggsystemet är en vidareutveckling av ett befintligt system, som används i fabriksmiljö som tillverkar prefabricerade småhus. Examensarbetet har utförts på uppdrag av företaget Husmuttern AB i Eskilstuna, som även står som skapare till byggsystemets vidareutveckling. Målsättningen med vidareutvecklingen av byggsystemet är att kunna prefabricera återvinningsbara småhus för både privatägande och uthyrning till offentlig verksamhet, så som tillfälliga skolbyggnader eller asylboenden. Skillnaden mot nuvarande byggsystem med samma målsättning är hur byggprocessen utformas i fabrik. Genom ett innovativt utnyttjande av styrande fixturer och animerade processbeskrivningar, elimineras behovet av både språkkunskaper samt byggteknisk utbildning hos utföraren. Resultatet tjänar två syften. Dels skapas arbetstillfällen för nyanlända eller personer som står långt från arbetsmarknaden tack vare att processtegen animeras utan krav på språkkunskaper och fixturer som eliminerar risker för alternativa utföranden. Dels kan byggnationen hålla hög takt för att möta en stor efterfrågan på bostadsmarknaden. Examensarbetes huvudfråga att besvara har varit: ”Hur bör konstruktionerna för att bistå lyft av väggelement samt produktion av hörnelement till byggsystemet utformas för att möta krav av säkerhet och ergonomi?” Arbetets metoder för att besvara huvudfrågan har omfattats av nedbrytning av huvudfrågan till delfrågor, fältarbete, praktiska- och elektroniska hållfasthetstester, diskussioner med företagets beslutsfattare, dialoger med områdesexperter, tidsdisposition i form av Gantt-schema, litteratur-studier samt beprövade metoder för värdering och generering av kundbehov och konceptlösningar. Arbetets resurser har omfattat 40 timmar/vecka av två studenters arbetsinsats under 20 arbetsveckor. Ytterligare resurser som använts är: dragprovsmaskin på Mälardalens Högskola i Eskilstuna, befintliga CAD filer för byggsystemet från företaget, CAD- och FEM program för konstruktions- och testarbete, tillgång till företagets lokaler samt fritt tillhandahållande av fysiskt byggmaterial. Arbetets resultat är denna rapport med presentation av två konstruktionsförslag i form av ett lyftredskap och en dockningsstation som genom praktiska och elektroniska tester, samt studerande av gällande regelverk förefaller klara kraven för CE märkning, vilket både är ett arbetsmiljökrav samt harmoniserar med företagets ambitioner om hög säkerhet och god ergonomi.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFilling of LPG fuel (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) to vehicles takes place at a filling station and during refueling it is important that the fuel is filtered and in liquid form. This filtration and control of the fuel state is accomplished by means of a group of components called LPG-base. The reason why the fuel must be in liquid form is that evaporated LPG takes up a large amount of space in the vehicle tank compared to the fuel in liquid form. To achieve this, a separator is needed. The separator is part of an LPG-base whose purpose is to, inter alia, regulate the aggregation state and filter the fuel before passing it on to the fuel meter. The company Dover Fueling Solutions has an existing LPG-base product that the company wants to develop. The purpose of the study is to modulate and standardize a new LPG-base that will replace the old LPG-base. The new LPG-base is modulated to fit together with a base for other fuels in the existing fuel pump. This results in a successful transition to LPG-powered vehicles which is reasonable from an economic perspective. The goal of the study is to develop a CAD-model as a basis for developing the LPG-base with the desired dimensions with the help of concept and detail development. In the first place, the focus is on the LPG-base to fit into the specified volume. Furthermore, the units included in the LPG-base are dimensioned in such a way that they do not exceed the given dimensions. Sealing of joints in the form of prestressing in the screw joints and gaskets in the form of O-rings are used to avoid leakage. Furthermore, the concept is analyzed based on strength calculations and finite elementsimulations. Material selection is limited by the company's criteria as well as requirements from the PED criteria and is carried out with a focus on price. Finally, the new LPG-base that meets these requirements is well presented and is ready for prototype development and testing.

I vår egen framtida yrkesroll som personalvetare kommer vi att möta morgondagens arbetskraft och därför är det intressant att göra en studie om ungdomars sociala konstruktion av arbetslivet. Syftet är att beskriva och resonera kring de konstruktionsprocesser som ligger bakom ungdomars bilder av arbetslivet. Metodvalet föll på att utföra en kvalitativ studie för att kunna göra en induktiv, tolkande och konstruktionistisk studie av de interaktionsprocesser som pågår mellan ungdomar och deras omgivning där det går att visa på att verkligheten skapas i den interaktion som sker mellan individer och inom individen. För att kunna utföra studien och resonera kring konstruktionsprocesserna lästes tidigare undersökningar inom ungdomsforskning och elva semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes. Därefter genomfördes en diskursanalys av materialet. Eftersom studien är beskrivande blir den bara gällande för situationen som studerats och det går inte att dra några generella slutsatser om ungdomars interaktion om arbetslivet. Resultatet var att familjen, främst föräldrarna, och kompisarna har störst betydelse som signifikanta andra för ungdomarna i studien. Detta sattes sedan i relation till tidigare forskning och teori. Intressant vore att göra en vidare undersökning om varför medias roll är liten, har media spelat ut sin roll?

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn this thesis an open field solar power mounting system in untreated wood is designed. A draft was available as basis for how the mounting system could be designed. This has been developed to a complete system adapted for manufacturing. The result is a wooden space grid structure made of angular half octahedrons in line. The wooden details are connected with joints in injection moulded plastics. The joints are designed to minimize machining to the wood and prevent decay. The system is verified by both calculation, simulation, and by finding similar structures. Material selection was made by methods according to Ashby, Material Selection in Mechanical Design. Blueprints for both manufacturing and assembly were developed. A comparison with other similar racking systems was also made. The conclusion of this thesis is that the developed mounting system would work in reality and should be further developed. This rack is better than all compared metal racks when environmental aspects are compared.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis report describes the work process and result of the thesis work for a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, 15 credits, at Umeå University during the spring semester of 2016. The work was executed over a period of 10 weeks and was carried out at the company BAE Systems Hägglunds located in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. Bae Systems Hägglund has received a request if it is possible to integrate a parking brake in their current hybrid electrical drive system. The request came from the company Konecrane that manufactures lifting equipment of various kinds. They want to have the drive system with integrated parking brake in their product Reachstacker, which is a terminal truck for ports. The parking brake must also have to function like an emergency brake if there should occur a situation where it is required. This report deals with further development of a concept proposal and previous calculations, which includes detailed construction and sizing of the parking brake. The first step is to study previous work to get an idea of the function and the demands on the brakes. Also to see if there are some problems that need to be answered. After the literature study, investigate the external sources and suppliers that manufactures parts that are not produced on site at BAE System Hägglunds. The components that are included in the parking brake are calculated and constructed after the desired requirements. The CAD program that is used in this project is CATIA V5. Due to complications of sizing and ordering of friction discs for the parking brake a new delimitation was added. Instead of one specific solution, five different concepts with regard of materials and friction were produced. The different solutions can be studied when information of the specifics of the friction plates has been decided, then choose the solution that has the best fit.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis is about designing a suspension device for a test rig at Scania. Scania currently has several different test rigs, one test rig they have is T22. The purpose of this work is to develop a fixture that has the property of supporting a large gearbox so that the output shaft of the gearbox can be tested in the test rig T22. The method used for this development consists of several parts where the first part is to measure the current dimensions of the gearbox and then create a fixture in the CAD program CATIA V5 adapted to the dimensions taken before on the gearbox. Then the fixture constructed in CATIA V5 can be assembled with the gearbox to check if the dimensions are correct and fits together. Once the compilation has been completed, mechanical analyzes can be performed and then conclude with tests.The result of the project was a suspension device that is mounted on Scania's gearboxes which in turn are connected to test rig T22. Scania's existing components such as lifting beam and circular adapter were used and supplemented with arms that allow the gearbox to be mounted from behind in test rig T22.From this result we can conclude that Scania can mount the fixture on most GW gearboxes and perform measurements using the test rig T22.

Detta minskar på många ställen kabeldragningen väsentligt och det är därför önskvärt att SSAB:s egna I/O ska kunna köras så över Ethernet, antingen över vanliga nätverket eller på dedikerad kabel.

The reported trend in surveys shows adistinct and permanent transition to a more flexible and digital workplace with less weekly office hours. One solution to the problem is the use of a multifunctional exercise machine for home use with the possibility of exercise that correspond to a full body workout. A clear majority of studies and experts claim that the market for home gyms and equipment will continue to grow. At the same time, the availability of multifunctional exercise machines on the market for home usage that utilizes compound exercises is scarce. The goal of the project is to develop and design an exercise machine that enables effective whole bodytraining. The product development process consists of several activities that are performed to understand, design and market products. The applied product development method is based on a hybrid of the general product development process according to Ulrich and Eppinger and the project course model used at KTH Södertälje. The exercise machine is designed based on a combination of a power rack, a cubical cage made of steel beams that is used for barbell exercises, and cable machine applied to perform the six most common basic exercises to achieve a complete full body workout. Several existing solutions onthe market in combination with an innovative hoist are implemented to optimize and streamline both training and home use. The exercise machine is suitable as both a substitute and a complement to free weights, while at the same time taking advantage of the stability and user-friendliness of commercial exercise machines. Finally, the exercise machine is presented as a prototype whose intention is to demonstrate the feasibility of this type of exercise machine design.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis Master Thesis has been done within the Master's program in Machine Design at KTH. The work was carried out together with Epiroc through Svea Teknik AB. Today almost all mining uses drill and blast techniques, but there are major problems with this. Epiroc has started to design a so-called Mobile Miners, which are designed to excavate ore without drill and blast technology. The machine should be able to do all processes in the same operation instead of the drill and blast technology where different machines are used depending on the process. The new process uses only a cutting wheel to excavate ore. One of the machines Epiroc has designed is the Mobile Miner 40 V. The machine has two modules, the power module where all types of power supply, such as hydraulic, pumps are located and then the mining module where the cutting wheel is located. From other Mobile Miner it has been discovered that there will be very large amount of vibrations in the operator cabin, which is located on the power module, so for the new 40 V the idea is that the coupling between the modules can be disconnected while operating. The current concept is similar to a towbar that allows rotation in three degrees of freedom, which is something that was later considered a risk. The three different axes are yaw, roll, and pitch axis and it is roll axis which is not desired since 40 V is very high relative to its width, which gives a risk of tipping. The purpose of this Master Thesis were to develop a more stable concept. Based on this, a parameter analysis was made to define what a more stable coupling is. New concepts were generated and then evaluated using a Pugh's matrix. Two concepts were chosen to be further developed based on the given requirements. Concept A has the locking procedure in pitch axis with the aid of a hook construction where the rotation axes are separated meanwhile in concept B has the locking procedure in the yaw axis with the help of two hydraulic cylinders where the rotation axes intersect each other like a universal joint. With two degrees of freedom, higher forces are transmitted. The dimensioning was based on the worst load case, which is when the mining module runs over a bump and carry the power module. The two new concepts became more stable according to the parameter analysis, but are somewhat bigger than the current concept.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWood Tube is a start-up company with a new invention, environmental-friendly building bars made out of paper. The product is not yet available on the market, but these bars are likely to be a lot cheaper and easier to use for carpenters when building drywall, where the bars will replace the commonly used plate metal bars for framing. These bars are manufactured in standard lengths and are supposed to be cut on site to fit the local application. As of now they are sawn with a hand saw. This project is about developing a new specialized cutting-tool for easy and fast cutting of the Wood Tube paper bars, with the idea that a customised tool will make the paper bars even more attractive to carpenters and other potential customers. Tests indicate that cutting with shear-blades is the cutting method with the highest probability to meet the product requirements, which include requirements such as the tool being manually powered, highly portable, does not produce sawdust, is resistant to corrosion and being able to cut paper bars of different dimensions. Using systematic methods for generating concepts and the final selection, this results in a handheld scissors-concept, similar to a lopper. A lot of inspiration for the tool has come from the benchmarking of a lopper with gears from the brand Fiskars. Tests have been performed to determine the cuttability of the paper bars, as well as to predict the loads which will be exerted on the cutting tool. The cutting tool is designed using the methods Brain-Aided-Design (BAD), Pen-Aided-Design (PAD) and Computer-Aided-Design (CAD), along with calculations for tool-strength and risk-analysis (FMEA). The end result are blueprints for a tool which has been specifically developed for cutting paper bars from Wood Tube.

The generator produces inner electromagnetic forces that puts stress on the generators architecture. The bearings will have an essential role in withstanding the force from the electromagnets. The most suitable solution was a hybrid axial bearing since the electromagnetic forces are mainly in the axial direction. The hybrid bearing consists of ceramic balls and a steel bearing race, a combination being able to withstand pressures better than axial bearings with steel balls. Ceramic balls are mainly used to avoid electrical discharges between the bearing race and balls. These discharges occur due to switchtransients in the current from the powerelectronic system. The placement of the bearing in the generator is of great importance and has to be considered to minimize the displacement of the rotor discs. The project is focused on analyzing the displacement of the rotor disc and the area with greatest pressure in the bearing, this area occurs in the contact point between the ceramic ball and the steel bearing race. Hertzian contact pressure was used for the contact pressure between the ball and the bearing race and the Finite Element Method for calculating the displacement of the rotor disc.

Förskolans läroplan skriver att verksamheten ska sträva efter varje barn ska '' utveckla sin förmåga att bygga och konstruera med hjälp av olika tekniker, material och redskap '' (Skolverket, 2016 s.10). För att nå detta syftet har följade frågeställningar varit utgångspunkten: Hur tolkar pedagogerna läroplansmålet rörande, bygg och konsturera? Och hur kan målet konkritiseras i verksamheten enligt pedagogerna? För att besvara frågeställningen har intervjuer skett på två olika förskolor med sex olika legitimerade förskollärare. Resultatet av dessa intervjuer visar hur förskollärarna refelkterar över vad bygg och konstruktion var i deras verksamhet och vad enskilda förskollärare upplever är bygg och konstruktion, hur förskollärarna ser på sin roll vid involveringen under aktiviteter vid bygg och konstruktion samt förhållningsättet till läroplanens mål. Resultatet tar även upp förskollärarnas tankar kring fortutbildning gällande teknik i verksamheten.

The purpose of a fresh air hook is to be attached to the car’s trunk lid and its locking device to allow for air circulation inside the baggage compartment thus decreasing the temperature, as the hook keeps the door open. The purpose of the work is to develop and design a usable product with the help of the knowledge gathered from our studies. This will increase the group's knowledge and experience of work in product development. This is achieved through the development of solutions that satisfy the needs and wishes of the target group. These are concretized by means of a market survey. To achieve the desired result, well-known product development methods will be used to effectively develop the product. Different concepts for the different parts of the fresh air hook are compared with each other, then a few concepts are chosen for further prototype development. These prototypes are made with a 3D-printer and tested on different cars. The results of these tests are then used for further development of the prototypes. In the result, a report of the finished product is presented by describing its appearance, how it is manufactured and its properties.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of the work behind this thesis was to build a working structure for a spherically shaped robot with an appendage added to the sphere, much like the popular Star Wars character BB-8. The appendage, or ”head”, was meant to remain connected to the sphere when the sphere was set in motion without falling off during the course of the movement. After examining previous designs of spherical robots, a principle was chosen for the sphere’s drive system, which was modified according to the project’s goals and limitations. The drive system that was designed is independent of the sphere and is based on getting the sphere to roll according to the same principle as a running hamster in a hamster wheel. With two DC-motors and omni-wheels, the unit is powered by a microcontroller made controllable via Bluetooth. The drive system houses a mast with magnets that enable connection with the head through the sphere. Following an analysis process based on trial-and-error, the result became a functioning design whose function was strongly dependent on weight distribution, acceleration, the sphere’s surface evenness and the surface of the ride.

Historically, the special education assignment has changed in line with politics and the culture of education, which may have entailed difficulties in consolidating a professional group. It can also mean that there are ambiguities about the assignment, which in turn enables different interpretations based on personality and context. In this study, the special pedagogical assignment is studied through conversations with some persons who have special pedagogical competence. The idea is to try to understand the special education assignment inspired by Berger and Luckmann's (2010) three-sided model, which means that institutions undergo a series of processes to finally become socially accepted. Institutions in this context may be a professional group or a division of labor. Berger and Luckmann use terms such as externalization, objectification and finally internalization. When an internalization has taken place, something is socially accepted as well. The interviews in the study can be described as an unstructured interview, since the interviews are arranged according to different categories. Ahlefeld Nisser's (2009) knowledgeable conversation has been an inspiration in the interviews, since we can meet as equals and with mutual respect. The special education assignment is described by the respondents as difficult to interpret, and in the conversations various dilemmas emerged that are difficult in, for example, the meeting with other educators. Based on the respondents' story in this study, several different processes emerge which indicate that much in the special education assignment is not internalized, that is, fully accepted by the environment.

This is done by a discourse analysis of articles from three of the biggest newspapers in Sweden. The essays theoretical and methodical background stems from Laclau & Mouffe’s discourse theory. The selection of newspaper articles is based on the simple fact that they are written about China or that they mention China, and thereby helps to construct an image of the country. In the analysis of the gathered articles, the material has been sorted into three different themes depending on what the subject matter of the articles was. The themes are economics, politics, and orientalism. The first two themes address Chinas economic and political actions. The third theme, orientalism, includes articles where the country and its inhabitants are portrayed as “the other”, the opposite to the western world. The results show that the three newspapers selected all portray the same things in regards to the different themes that helps create a unified image of China. It is the liberal democracy and the market economy’s hegemonic position that permeates the reporting on China in the newspapers.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis bachelor's thesis deals with the design and construction of a new exhaust system for a motorcycle. The development is based on the results on a dyno run of the motorcycle equipped with the original exhaust system as well on reasonings regarding the exhaust system geometry and its impact on engine characteristics. These reasonings, in turn, are based on physical principles. The dyno run with the original exhaust system showed a significant dip in torque between 4000 and 6500 rpm. The aim of the project is to develop an exhaust system that affects the engines performance in a way that results in the increase of the engines midrange torque in order to erase the detected dip in the midrange while still fulfilling the requirements Swedish legislation imposes on motorcycles regarding noise pollution. The reasoning on which the exhaust system is designed deals with cylinder scavenging, low pressure pulses, exhaust speed, exhaust system configuration and cylinder pairing. It is decided that the system shall be designed in such a way that the distance to collectors is as far as possible in the available space, that the exhaust system shall be of 4-2-1 configuration and that cylinders 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 shall be paired. The exhaust system is manufactured using hand tools only and consists mostly of standardized parts. After construction, the new system is validated with a dyno run and sound level measurements. The resulting graph from the dyno run of the motorcycle equipped with the new exhaust system shows that the dip in torque between 4000 and 6500 rpm was erased while the overall torque increased slightly throughout the register. Maximum torque increased from 103.7 Nm with the original exhaust to 106.6 Nm with the new. The peak power increased from 115.7 hp to 122.5 hp. Sound measurements indicate that the aim for the sound level has not been achieved. To be legal, the maximum noise level at 5200 rpm must not exceed 93 dB. The new system was measured at 109.4 dB at 5200 rpm and thus does not meet the sound level requirement. The project shows that it is possible to significantly influence the engine character with changes in the geometry and configuration of the exhaust system. However, this project only shows what the sum of the changes achieves and cannot provide specific answers as to which changes account for what part of the result.

Research shows that preschool teachers find the concept of engineering difficult to define, and there is also very little research on how the work with building and construction should be focused on in Swedish preschools. This study aims to provide an increased understanding of how preschool teachers perceive and plan for building and construction in the preschool's activities. The issues focus on preschool teachers' perception of the concepts of technology and building and construction, the preschool teachers' work with building and construction and the need of competence development in the subject. Qualitative method has been used there three preschool teachers have been interviewed and sent pictures which have then been analyzed according to phenomenography analysis method and multimodal theory. The results show that the concept of engineering is considered broad and is perceived, among other things, as digital technology and construction. The work with building and construction in the preschool is described as part of the daily activities there the material and accessibility are considered important aspects, as is the curriculum the preschool highlights. However, not all preschool teachers consider themselves to have enough material to meet this. In terms of competence development, the preschool teachers had different opinions to what extent it is considered necessary. The summarized results show that preschool teachers perceives and works with building and construction in different ways in the preschool activity, which can lead to the children gaining different experiences of the subject.

When new technologies like virtual reality begin to become more prevalent, it can be difficult for companies to keep up with developments. A better understanding of how building information modeling (BIM) focusing on virtual reality in structural engineering and projection will therefore be beneficial for the projection process and thus construction.In order to implement VR, it is first necessary that companies use three-dimensional models (3D) and modeling programs such as Revit or Tekla which is specifically designed for BIM. These types of programs plays a vital role in ensuring that the technology is used in an optimal and a user-friendly way, as constructors have a very time-consuming schedule. In addition, all participants in the project have access to a huge amount of information, where each building component has a linked data such as geometry and material. Something that makes BIM very useful is together with different plugins such as Revit structure analysis or linking timetables and cost with building components from the 3D model to create BIM 5D, where the two D-s represent time and cost. By moving one more step further and integrating VR into the model, you have the opportunity to use buildings in a context that opens up communication bridges and creates an image of projects that are close to reality.With this is mind, in this work, tests have been performed on models to find areas where VR may be useful. Based on the constructors own experiences of design tools in combination with their thoughts and ideas, applications were developed where VR might be useful to constructors. The results of the interviews showed that VR is currently less useful for constructors in smaller project, but that it has its uses in more complex cases where the constructor needs a complement to get a better overall understanding as well as for other participants in a project. For a constructor it is therefore more suited in a project as a review tool and useful in the final stages of a project. However, it may be a tool under the projection process for other parties in projects to increase mutual understanding.

The analysis deals with the three movies, Rampljus, The Blair Witch Project and Påtryckaren. The movies are analysed from a documentary perspective and the method beeing used is constructed for this thesis to find some answers behind the fictional ocumentaries.
Uppsatsen behandlar fiktiv dokumentärfilm och vill lyfta fram dess estetik samt belysa den problematik kring det veklighetsanspråk som dessa filmer spelar på. Tyngdpunkten ligger på hur detta verklighetsanspråk skapas, vilka dokumentärt estetiska grepp som finns samt på vilket sätt det går att skönja att det är en spelfilm och inte en dokumentärfilm. I analysen behandlas de tre filmerna Rampljus, The Blair Witch Project och Påtryckaren. Filmerna analyseras utifrån ett dokumentärt perspektiv och den metod som använts är konstruerad för denna uppsats för att få svar på frågorna den fiktiva dokumentärfilmen.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation describes the theory behind a specific solution for balcony attachment for concrete constructions designed by Prefabmästarna. The purpose is to get a deeper understanding of design according to Eurocode and EKS (Swedish application of eurocode) and to optimize the current solution for balcony attachment in view of reduced material usage. The design is based on a prefabricated balcony slab is fasten to a T-section whose flanges are molded in a prefabricated DFS-slab. Two tie-rods is threaded into the balcony slab and fasten to the T-section with a washer. After mounting of the balcony slab the DFS slab is molded on which stabilizes the T-section from instabilites. The results show that the structure is largely optimized but that there are room for improvements in specific places. For balconies with a length of 2.0 meters the T-section can be reduced with 10 kg of steel, which corresponds to more than 50 % of the T-section weight compared with the reference solution. Also at the 2.5 meter balconies the T-section can be reduced with 7 kg of steel, which corresponds to a 38 % reduction in material use compared with the reference solution. A common standard for the T-section is possible for balconies with a length of 2.0 and 2.5 meters.

Målet med examensarbetet har varit att genom litteraturstudie och intervjuer konstruera ett webbaserat SMS-system som kan användas till att sända SMS textmeddelande till en godtycklig mobiltelefonenhet. Meddelande som sänds ska även lagras i databas och administreras via webbsidan. En jämförelse har även genomförts där syftet har varit att undersöka bäst lämpat programspråk för Bluetooth applikation. Metoden har grundat sig på kriterier. Jämförelsen mellan programspråken gav att Java med bibliotek från BlueCove var det bäst lämpade programspråket. För konstruktion av SMS-systemet har en objektbaserad utvecklingsmodell tillämpats, dock inte i full skala. SMS-systemet är konstruerat av webbsida, databas, blåtandsapplikation, Bluetooth- och mobiltelefonenhet. Webbsidan bygger på ASP.NET 2.0, databasen XML och blåtandsapplikation programmerades i Java. Kontroll har utförts att systemet uppfyller kravspecifikation.
As there is now wide access to the World Wide Web, demand now exists for Web messages to be available not only via a computer but also via cell phones. The aim of the project was, by means of literature studies and interviews, to create a web-based SMS-system which can be used to send SMS text messages to arbitrary mobile phone devices from a web page. The sent messages are also to be stored in a database and administered by means of the website. A comparison was also conducted in which the aim was to investigate the most suitable programming language for the Bluetooth application. The model for the study was based on given criteria. The comparison suggested that the Java programming language with its library from BlueCove was the most suitable. For the development of the system an object-based model has been applied, but this has not been adopted in a full scale manner at the present time. The SMS-system has been constructed by means of a Website, database, Bluetooth application and mobile phone unit. The website is based on an ASP.NET 2.0, database on XML and the Bluetooth application was written using Java. A control was conducted in order to test that the system meets the required specifications.
