Every parking area needs a website or system that records the detail of vehicles to give the parking facility. With the help of iot based system we can deliver a good service to users/people who wants to park their vehicles into organization’s premises. Present days in parking areas they just maintain the vehicles just with tokens and they have records of vehicle details in books so that during some critical situations like police enquiry of terrorist car or vehicle missing that case it is difficult to find the details of particular vehicle. But with our parking management system it is easy to find within 1 to 2 seconds. By parking the vehicle in public place the vehicle can be claimed by other person but in this case there is no such problem and no need to give fine for anything we can park our vehicle with securely.

<p class="0abstract">The purpose is to construct smart park platform by using the Internet of Things technology, to realize the access of intelligent systems and equipment within park, and to effectively coordinate the various systems in the park. Taking advantage of the key technologies of Internet of Things and cloud computing, smart park information hardware architecture and technical solutions are put forward, the sensor and wireless Internet of Things are applied to realize the system. The experimental results showed that the system realizes the information sharing, exchange and fusion between the various sensing subsystems, and solves the information islands phenomenon that existed in the past. In conclusion, this system can meet the actual needs of smart park, and provides a certain reference for similar park construction.</p>

The concept of educational tourism developed as a consequence of the saturation of applying learning methods in a rigid and formal room. Yogyakarta as a student and cultural city has several educational tourism objects, one of which is the Smart Park. Smart Park Yogyakarta as the most comprehensive science center in Southeast Asia offers various educational tourism program packages. The objective of this study is to analyze the Smart Park management model by conducting a survey to 200 visitors with data analyzed by SEM-PLS method. Data analysis is done in two ways, namely model feasibility test and significance test through bootstrapping process. Based on the data result analysis, the most dominant influence is management performance to the variation of tourism activities with path analysis of 0,653. The indicator with the largest contribution is learning new technology by loading factor value of 0.872. In terms of product availability, almost all educational tourism activities are available, unless for the tourist attractions related to learning a new language.

Lately, the idea of brilliant urban communities has increased awesome notoriety. Parking becomes one of the tedious tasks in our day to day life. Many efforts have been done in this field to solve parking based problems like traffic congestion, limited parking space, high parking charges, and the most basic problem is to find nearby parking space. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm that increases the efficiency of the current cloud-based smart parking system and develops a network architecture based on Internet-Of-Things technology. Our proposed system helps users automatically find a free parking space at the least cost based on new performance metrics to calculate the user parking cost by considering the distance from the user to parking area and the total number of free places in each car park. A mobile application is provided that navigate the user to the free parking space based on the efficiency based on distance and cost. This cost will be utilized to offer an answer of finding an accessible parking spot upon a demand by the client and an answer of proposing another car park if the present park is full.

Our daily life services are quickly becoming smarter with intelligence and information through artificial intelligence (AI) and Big Data technologies. Parking services are one of the most frequently used in our daily life-cycle. This parking application could be classified into several features according to demands and properties, such as parking capacity balancing on a city-level view, parking fee maximization for achieving the service provider demand, empty parking spot notification within a parking lot, etc. This paper concentrates on parking space detection and alert to users. Most smart services rely on smart mobile derives of users such as smartphones and smartwatches. The proposed novel mechanism for smart parking is based on a smart device to gather mobile sensing data such as users’ activity and position data. Acquired mobile data are analyzed via machine learning technologies to provide dedicated parking services per user. Based on real testbed setups on campus and the proof-of-concept implementation, the proposed localization can achieve accuracy of a parking spot scale (2m-second guess 95%); moreover, it shows a much lower service operation period of 6.8 times (34s) than the legacy approach (230s).

The article discusses the main criteria for selection of the Russian Federation regions as a pilot sites in the federal program «Smart City. Successful region». The concept of participation in the Samara region has been developed. Indicators of the expected eff ectiveness of this innovative project are disclosed. Proposed new approaches to the development of Samara as a smart city. The socio-spatial basis of these approaches is the “triad of development agents”: a smart university, a smart city, a smart park factory. The scientifi c and design potential of Samara State Technical University is considered as a “smart” university. “Smart” park-factory is an industrial park of this University and its partners on the site of one of the former industrial enterprises. “Smart” city relies on the administrative and public organizations of urban development, activists of urban social movements. The goal is formulated and the objectives of a pilot project for the reorganization of the urban environment of the Samara city historical zone are stated. The pilot project goal and objectives for the urban environment reorganization of the Samara city historical zone are formulated. The selection and implementation of innovative technologies in the historic center of the city is determined by a number of proposed model projects - “Smart Quarter”, “Smart Street”, “Smart Square”. The expediency of introducing into the urban environment about 30 innovative technologies in the areas of resource conservation, public services, preservation of the architectural heritage, media technologies, transport and pedestrian infrastructure and fi scal taxation systems has been substantiated. Set out in detail six key criteria that determine а compliance of the historical sett lement to the “smart city” concept: technology, enЕ. vironmental friendliness, management, mobility, heritage, people. For Samara as a historic city, the necessity of creating a competence regional center in the fi eld of architectural heritage engineering restoration has been justifi ed. It is concluded that the future implementation of pilot projects will contribute to the formation a sustainable urban environment of the largest city historical center, focused on the digital economy.

Water management has become a global priority in recent decades. The demand for water resources is increasing in cities due to the increase in population and the intensive use of water in economic activities and ornamentation. The problem is exacerbated when cities are built on desert regions, this is the case of Lima which is the second largest city built on a desert after Cairo. In this type of cities, it is necessary to minimize water consumption in activities that do not cover the priority needs of the population. For this reason, one of the most important tasks in the management of water resources in Lima is the optimization of water use in irrigation of parks, malls and other public green areas, necessary to offer a good quality of life to citizens. This research develops a smart decision support system to optimize irrigation in city parks. The proposed methodology takes 4 variables: land area, temperature, park humidity and weather forecast. First, strategic segmentation of the total area of the park is carried out, followed by the use of low-cost sensors to construct real-time humidity and temperature maps of the land area. Afterwards, a fuzzy inference system (FIS) that incorporates the knowledge of agronomists to process vague information in terms of computer interpretable language, together with the data collected from the variables and humidity and temperature maps is built, to assess the need for irrigation of each segment of the park. A dashboard is made to facilitate the visualization of results, including humidity and temperature maps, the weather forecast for the area and the recommendation of the FIS, which supports decision-making on irrigation needs in each segment of the park. The methodology was applied in a case study that corresponds to a San Isidro park in the city of Lima. Significant expected savings were obtained in terms of water resources and monetary units, which demonstrates the viability of the application of this smart system oriented at supporting decision-making on smart irrigation in the city’s parks.

As settings planned and designed with children in mind, playgrounds have a lot to offer to children's physical, social and educational development. However, US playgrounds are often underutilized by middle-school children, as they become upstaged by electronic and computer games. This article explores the reasons for playground underutilization in the US through a historic overview of playground development and a review of literature sources that discuss the causes and consequences of playground utilization. It also draws from an empirical study of the author, who surveyed 897 middle-school children and 348 parents in twelve middle schools in Los Angeles to examine their feelings toward playgrounds and find out why they do not visit playgrounds more often. The survey found that many children found the playgrounds unexciting and wished for a different and more interactive setting. In response to this sentiment, the last part of the article examines the concepts of 'smart park' and 'interactive playground' and discusses opportunities that smart and interactive technologies present for developing twenty-first century playgrounds.

The industrialization of the world, increase in population and mismanagement of the available parking space has resulted in parking problems. There is a need for an intelligent and reliable system which can be used for searching the unoccupied parking facility, to reduce the cost of leasing people and for better use of resources for car-park owners. This paper introduces an algorithm to increase the efficiency of the current smart-parking system. The main objective of this algorithm is helping users automatically to find an unoccupied parking lot with least cost based on a new performance metrics to calculate the parking cost. Considering the distance between the User and Parking, Distance between Parking and services area, Percent of free spaces in each car park and Cost of parking for a time t. Matlab software was used to compute the cost function and to save an optimal parking space upon a request by the user. The experimental results show that the proposed cost function helps improve the probability of optimal parking with least cost.

The theories used include Internet of Things technology, agricultural industrialization theory, sustainable agricultural development theory, new rural construction theory in agricultural disciplines, ecotourism theory, tourism psychology theory in tourism disciplines, landscape ecology theory, landscape aesthetics theory, and garden planning and design theory. From related theories to planning and design practice, a more systematic study of the smart park has been carried out to provide scientific guidance for the agriculture of the smart park. To provide scientific guidance for the planning and design of agricultural IoT of smart gardens, the theoretical system of planning and design of smart gardens based on the integration of agricultural IoT is proposed and systematically elaborated, including its concept, characteristics, related theories, and guidance methods.

The aim of the study is to determine the impact of smart technologies on the formation of a positive experience of visitors to sustainable smart destinations. The aspects of consumer behavior in the context of the "Customer Journey Map" model are considered. A research framework was developed combining three research hypotheses. The proposed model was empirically tested on the basis of quantitative methods. Zaryadye Park in Moscow was chosen as a smart destination for the study. The results obtained demonstrated that smart technologies influence consumer behavior at all three stages of the “Customer Journey”. The strongest influence is manifested in the preliminary and active stages; at the reflexive stage it weakens. This study opens up a new understanding of the impact of smart technologies, its results have theoretical and marketing significance of sustainable smart destinations management systems.

Parking problems became ubiquitous and are growing at an alarming rate in every major city. It causes parking problems which cause a trafficjam, driver’s frustration, and pollution. One time we visit differentpublic places for example shopping center, multiplex movies hall &amp; lodging house during carnivals or holidays, it makes the added parking difficult. Checking out a parking lot results in 40% to 50% of traffic jams. Due to this, car parking, in turn, causes the traffic issue. There are some problems associated with car parking like the way to control the amount of the car within the parking zone, monitoring the movement of the car in/outside of the parking zone, check whether there's an area inside for more cars or not and therefore the safety to park. This paper proposes an answer for these problems using the concept of the web of Things. iParkisa fully automated system that senses the entry and exit of a car, displays the entire number of cars parked within the parking zone on screen, and the way many free spaces are available within the parking lot.

This study examined the personal characteristics and preferences of individuals that encourage interactions with smart media displays (media façades). Specifically, it aimed to determine which key aspects of a smart display “media façade” enhance intuitive interactions. A range of smart display technologies and their effects on interaction decisions were considered. Data were drawn from a survey of 200 randomly sampled residents and/or visitors to a smart building, One Central Park, in Sydney, Australia. A binomial logistic regression analysis was undertaken to establish links between a range of design, perceptions and socio-demographic variables and individuals’ decisions to interact with a smart media display. The results showed that the aesthetics of an installation, the quality of an installation’s content and the safety of the operation-friendly environment significantly affected respondents’ decisions to interact with the media display. Interestingly, respondents born overseas were more likely to interact with a smart display than those born in Australia. Respondents who expressed a preference for photograph-based interactions were also more likely to interact with the display. Somewhat surprisingly, age, residency and levels of familiarity with digital technology did not significantly affect respondents’ decisions to interact with the display.

This article summarizes the urban proposal of the team led by Professor Estanislau Roca, consisting of professors and students of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), for the International Student Urban Design Competition for Shanghai Railway Station presented in 2015 at the Haishang Cultural Center in Shanghai. Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Tongji University, Cardiff University, Southeast University of Nanjing and UPC participated in the competition. The UPC team won a second ex aequo prize with MIT. The UPC proposal represents the urban redevelopment of an extensive area located in the heart of the city of Shanghai, where the creation of a park comprising about 40 hectares was conceived. The park is designed to form a vast new space in the city, in an area covered by railroad tracks east of the Shanghai Railway Station, which form a great barrier that divides the Zhabei District into two disconnected parts. In the framework of the Shanghai Master Plan 2020–2040, the metropolitan scale is reflected at the local level. The proposal reinforces the continuity of green and blue through strategies that connect the new park with other existing open urban spaces and rivers. Furthermore, it enhances ecological continuity and stimulates regeneration. The project contributes to improving problems with air pollution while at the same time making the currently adopted measures more economically sustainable. Conceived from a holistic perspective, the idea is modelled on a harmonious, inclusive, friendly, smart, accessible, sustainable city networked through the state-of-the-art technology that is essential for such complex urban transformations. What is more, it rigorously pursues economic viability throughout each stage of implementation by guaranteeing that each phase finances itself while maintaining the ledger in a positive balance.

Rapid urbanization has brought about an influx of people to cities, tipping the scale between urban and rural living. Population predictions estimate that 64% of the global population will reside in cities by 2050. To meet the growing resource needs, improve management, reduce complexities, and eliminate unnecessary costs while enhancing the quality of life of citizens, cities are increasingly exploring open innovation frameworks and smart city initiatives that target priority areas including transportation, sustainability, and security. The size and heterogeneity of urban centers impede progress of technological innovations for smart cities. We propose a Smart Stadium as a living laboratory to balance both size and heterogeneity so that smart city solutions and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies may be deployed and tested within an environment small enough to practically trial but large and diverse enough to evaluate scalability and efficacy. The Smart Stadium for Smart Living initiative brings together multiple institutions and partners including Arizona State University (ASU), Dublin City University (DCU), Intel Corporation, and Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), to turn ASU’s Sun Devil Stadium and Ireland’s Croke Park Stadium into twinned smart stadia to investigate IoT and smart city technologies and applications.

Abstract: Due to rapid proliferation in the number of vehicles on the road, finding a vacant car parking space is becoming challenging and ubiquitous in every major city, resulting traffic problems are bound to exist. Increase in traffic causes the number of accidents thatcause serious bodily harm to the road users, the pollution caused by the large amount of CO2 released by the vehicles, and the continuous stress of drivers who must drive in often narrow and very busy roads and who must look for a long time to find a space to park. Thus, tosolve the parking problem, lot of research is being done on smart parking management system mechanisms. The existing system gives us the information about the empty slots availability but does not give information about the exact location of parking slot available in sucha big area. This paper proposes an efficient, cost effective smart car Parking System on wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) technology using LabView that can easily locate and secure a vacant parking space at any car park deemed convenient to them. The article focuses on the range of problems arising on the way of innovative technologies implementation in the structure of existing cities. The concept of intellectualization of historic cities, as illustrated by Samara, is offered, which was chosen for the realization of a large Russian project “Smart City. Successful Region” in 2018. One of the problems was to study the experience of information hubs projecting with the purpose of determination of their priority functional directions. The following typology of information hubs was made: scientific and research ones, scientific and technical ones, innovative and cultural ones, cultural and informational ones, scientific and informational ones, technological ones, centres for data processing, scientific centres with experimental and production laboratories. As a result of the conducted research, a suggestion on smart city’s infrastructure is developed, the final levels of innovative technologies implementation in the structure of historic territories are determined. A model suggestion on the formation of a scientific and project centre with experimental and production laboratories branded as named “Park-plant” is developed. Smart (as well as real) city technologies, which are supposed to be placed on the territory of “Park-plant”, are systematized. The organizational structure of the promotion of model projects is offered according to the concept of “triad of development agents”, in which the flagship university – urban community – park-plant interact within the project programme. The effects of the development of the being renovated territory of the historic city centre are enumerated.
