The purpose of this paper is to empirically examine the relationship between sense of belonging and job satisfaction in hospital-based nurses. By discovering what contributes to job satisfaction, organizations will be able to better retain their nurses. This empirical paper used a non-experimental design to test a proposed model based on a review of relevant literature. Working nurses in a hospital setting completed surveys capturing the constructs researched. The findings of this research suggest that sense of belonging leads to positive outcomes and higher job satisfaction. Older employees tend to be less satisfied than their younger counterparts. While this study offers some insight into the factors affecting the job satisfaction of nurses, the sample was limited to respondents who were working at local hospitals in Southeastern United States. Thus these results may not represent the views of all nurses in the health care sector. To retain high-valued nurses it is important that an organization has a work environment that enhances their commitment to their occupation. These research findings provide evidence that nurses who feel as though they are part of an organization will be more motivated to better their respective organizations. In turn, these profitable organizations invest back in the community they operate in, improving the overall socio-economic fabric of local economy. Although a considerable amount of research has been done evaluating the value of a sense of belonging, none of these studies link it to job satisfaction based on gender. This contribution is also of special importance amid the recent criticism of the healthcare costs by prominent management scholars. Abstract Purpose: The broad over-arching goals of this work were to study the existing constituents of green human resource management (HRM), to understand the green HRM practices being followed by different companies in India (belonging to certain sectors) and to compare the different sectors in terms of adoption of green HRM. Methodology: A questionnaire was meticulously prepared by the authors to collect the data for this study and was sent to various Indian companies belonging to four sectors: IT/IT services, banking/finance, consultancy and engineering/technology. The questionnaire included a carefully selected collection of questions to gain rich insights into different aspects of green HRM implementation. Findings: most of the companies included in this study are following green HRM (though to varying extents). Green recruitment, green training and development & green safety and health management are the most prominent green HRM functions while green performance appraisal is the least popular green HRM function among these organizations. The IT/IT services sector is most actively using green HRM practices while the banking/finance sector is the most reluctant to adopt green HRM. Practical Implications: a rigorous structure for companies to implement green HRM is provided.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine whether job satisfaction and job-related stress differ among employees of different banking sectors. Design/methodology/approach – Questionnaire were administered to 337 employees from various banks belonging to private sector, public sector and new generation banks. One way ANOVA was conducted to find out whether job satisfaction and job relates stress varied on the basis of three different sectors of banks. Further post hoc test was conducted to find out which sector differs significantly. Findings – Results indicated that employees of different sectors of bank had different level of job satisfaction and job-related stress. Further it was revealed that public sector banks have lower job-related stress when compared to private sector banks and new generation banks; and higher job satisfaction when compared to new generation banks. Practical implications – With the rapid developments and competition in banks, measures should be taken in private sector banks and new generations banks to reduce job-related stress and enhance job satisfaction level of employees. This may also result in increased quality of services and reduced labour turnover in banks. Originality/value – The study is original and empirical in nature. It shows that the job satisfaction and job-related stress differ among employees of different groups of banks in the banking sector. If banking sector is considered as a true representative of the service sector, the results of this study has wider implication in the service industry as a whole.

During the years, different authors underline the role of CSR communication as an instrument of transparency towards the stakeholders of each company. In the scenario emerge the importance of stakeholder engagement for estabilish between company and stakeholders “proactive and ongoing dialogue”, trough Internet and it’s tools as a facilitator of corporate communicative action. With the aim of communicating with the stakeholders, companies can implement different methods of engagement. Operating in different sectors many time it is an additional variable that influences the practice of CSR communication, will it be the same for the stakeholder engagement methods adopted? This contribution analyses, through a content analysis, all the stakeholder engagement tools used by the 316 companies listed in DJSI on their institutional websites. The DJSI companies are strongly motivated to commit in economic, social and environmental terms and belonging to 24 different sectors thus allowing to carry out inter-sectoral analyzes. There are two main results: prevailing use of one-way communication tools regardless of the sector of the company and a widespread choice to use social media as the main two-way communication tool. If the sector of belonging, in other study has turned out to be an influential variable, the same cannot be said in relation to stakeholder engagement tools. This study has three main limitations: data change speed, language and method. In the future, understanding the expectations and needs of stakeholders related to CSR communication could be intersting to analyse.

How do perceptions of not belonging inform economic life? For many young Omanis, the labor market is a site of contestation and a space of struggle. In this essay, I explore a neglected dimension of belonging in the Gulf—citizen labor—by looking at Omani millennials in the labor market. Despite holding legal citizenship, a sense of belonging remains elusive in much of the private sector. Many Omani young people perceive a tenuous economic citizenship, complicating narratives around belonging or not belonging in the Arabian Peninsula. I draw from lessons learned while researching my current book and exploring social relations and regulation of labor markets, and reflect on how the knowledge and theories produced concerning Gulf labor markets rarely engage with the citizens in them.

We also show that there is a remarkable complimentarity between the constraints on a general structure from the ρ parameter and those from precision measurement of the [Formula: see text] vertex. Finally, some salient features about the production of such Higgs bosons in e+e− collision are discussed.

PurposeThis paper is an attempt to explore the fact that whether the literature-promised value premium has any sector orientation. The paper tests the relationship between the value premium and Indian sectors: fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), financials, healthcare, information technology (IT), manufacturing and miscellaneous.Design/methodology/approachThe paper analyses around 210–480 companies listed on BSE-500 for the period of the recent 18 years ranging from March 1999 to March 2017. The paper employed Welch's ANOVA to examine whether the price-to-book market ratio is significantly different across sectors. Two prominent asset pricing models – single factor market model and Fama–French three-factor model – were used to examine the existence of value premium within sectors for full period and two sub-periods.FindingsThe empirical results of the paper suggest that the difference in the P/B ratio both between sectors and within sectors is statistically significant. The results further suggest that the value premium exists within the sectors irrespective of their value-growth orientation.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper is not free from certain limitations. Firstly, due to the non-availability of data in the public domain, the time period before 1999 could not be considered. Secondly, the study has used data pertaining to the Indian stock market only. To add to it, our study has concentrated on BSE-500 companies only; however, the future researchers can include both NSE and BSE companies.Practical implicationsThe paper has important implications for portfolio managers and retail investors following a top-down approach of investing. The portfolio manager can strategically build up the portfolios to concentrate more on the companies belonging to sectors like healthcare, manufacturing and FMCG. Investors following the top-down approach should avoid the underperforming growth stocks belonging to the growth sectors and allocate their funds to value stocks in the growth sector.Originality/valueThe paper is first of its kind to study the relationship between the value premium and Indian sectors. The paper contributes to portfolio management and asset pricing literature for an emerging market.

Theoretically, the Board of Directors (BOD) of organizations belonging to corporate as well as cooperative sectors is expected to have a long-term, strategic focus. However, a critical difference between the BOD of a corporate organization and a cooperative organization is that the latter is constituted by user-members and are, therefore, expected to truly reflect user-owners' commitment to the organization. Against this backdrop, this paper by Ajit Kanitkar and N V Belavadi examines the dominant concerns of the BOD of cooperative sector organizations by analysing the agenda-items of Board meetings of federated dairy cooperatives. According to the authors, the BOD in this sector is more concerned with day-to-day operations than strategic issues.

There are a number of objectives that guide this work. First, we aimed to identify the general characteristics of Andalusian companies in terms their approach to social responsibility, particularly in the area of human resources and environmental impact. Second, we aimed to identify the particularities of social responsibility within the productive sector. For this, a questionnaire was designed, which was administered to 365 executives belonging to different sectors. The results show that the greatest concern of Andalusian companies is the satisfaction of their employees, followed by energy saving measures, and environmental impact. We also found differences according to the productive sector studied. In particular, while in the agricultural and livestock sectors the human elements appear to be of importance, the industrial and commercial sectors pay more attention to environmental elements. However, the data highlight the need to continue working within this area of research, adopting a preventive or proactive approach.

This study adopts an OLS regression for a data sample of 46 firms listed on Nasdaq Stockholm for the 2006-2019 period. We present models with R&D expenditure and R&D intensity as the main mechanisms of firm growth, defined as sales growth in this study. Furthermore, firm size, firm age and sector belonging determining the R&D and sales growth relationship are also investigated. We find that R&D intensity has a statistically significant negative impact on firm growth, while R&D expenditure does not show a statistically significant relationship to firm growth. Thus, the results of this paper suggest that devoting a higher proportion of your sales to R&D activities does not translate into firm growth.

In our contemporary period of human mobility and global capitalism, political identifications are being configured in multiple sites beyond the nation-state. The book’s theoretical innovation is to analyze what happens at work in terms of larger processes of political belonging. In particular, it examines how the recognitions and reciprocities entailed by care work affect the political belonging of new African migrants in the United States. Care for America’s growing seniors is increasingly provided by migrants, and it is only expected to grow, as experts in health care anticipate a care crunch. Because of the demand for elder care and the low barriers to entry, new African immigrants have adopted elder care as a niche employment sector. However, elder care puts care workers into racialized, gendered and age hierarchies, and made it difficult to achieve social and economic mobility. Through working in elder care, African care workers see the United States as uninhabitable, in the sense that it does not reciprocate their labor and makes a respected personhood impossible. This book highlights a more complex process of racialization and incorporation for Black immigrants than is commonly posited.

Drawing on first person accounts and participant observation, this book looks in-depth at one of the UK government’s most controversial austerity policies, the ‘Bedroom Tax’. Focusing on the lives of 31 people in one neighbourhood, it explores the push and pull factors that structure tenants’ behaviour regarding downsizing to smaller properties within a residualised and stigmatised social housing sector. It highlights the meaning of home and the continuing relevance of community and the tensions created when tenants are faced with the threat of displacement and the concomitant loss of social networks and informal structures of welfare that operate in place. While this book focuses on one social policy, it speaks to broader concerns about the value and loss of social housing and how we care for and house our most vulnerable citizens in the midst of neoliberal restructuring. It reflects on the continuing loss of housing benefit support, on-going cuts to the welfare state and what this means for communities and their sense of security and belonging. More broadly, it reflects on how cuts to housing benefit support are undermining the capacity of low income households to secure and maintain housing within a social sector that faces new financial risks and a private rented sector in which the term ‘no DSS’ has made a resurgence. The central argument of this book is that policies such as the Bedroom Tax which undermine secure housing are divisive, heightening resentment about access to housing while leading to increasing housing inequality and urban marginality.

American musical theater is often dismissed as frivolous or kitschy entertainment. But what if musicals actually mattered a great deal? What if perhaps the most innocuous musical genre in America actually defined the practices of Mormonism--America’s fastest-growing religion? Mormons, Musical Theater, and Belonging in America is an interdisciplinary study of voice, popular music, and American religion that analyzes the unexpected yet dynamic relationship between two of America’s most iconic institutions, Mormonism and American musical theater. This book argues that Mormonism and early American musical theater were cut from the same ideological cloth--formed in the early nineteenth century out of Jacksonian principles of self-fashioning, white supremacy, and broader understandings of the democratic principles of vicariousness. Throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, Mormons gravitated toward musicals as a common ideological platform, using musicals not only to practice a theology of voice but also to transition from outlier polygamist sect to become by the mid-twentieth century emblems of white, middle-class respectability in America. In an effort to become gods themselves, Mormons use the musical stage to practice transforming into someone they are not, modeling closely the theatrical qualities of Jesus and other spiritual leaders in Mormon mythology. Thus, learning to vicariously voice another person on the musical stage actually draws the faithful closer to godliness. Looking outward from the shared ideological roots of Mormonism and musical theater, this book offers a compelling study of how the ways Americans sound determine the paths of their belonging.

Tracing the history of refugee settlement in Fargo, North Dakota, from the 1980s to the present day, this book focuses on the role that gender, religion, and sociality play in everyday interactions between refugees from South Sudan and Bosnia-Herzegovina and the dominant white Euro-American population of the city. The book outlines the ways in which refugees have impacted this small city over the last thirty years, showing how culture, political economy, and institutional transformations collectively contribute to the racialization of white cities like Fargo in ways that complicate their demographics. The book shows that race, religion, and decorum prove to be powerful forces determining worthiness and belonging in the city and draws attention to the different roles that state and private sectors played in shaping ideas about race and citizenship on a local level. Through the comparative study of white secular Muslim Bosnians and Black Christian Southern Sudanese, the book demonstrates how cross-cultural and transnational understandings of race, ethnicity, class, and religion shape daily citizenship practices and belonging.

In the current context of neo-liberal policies, market deregulation and global flows, cities around the world have been faced with the increasingly complex challenges of fragmentation and marginalisation, while ideals of close-knit communities, belonging, and citizenship have become ever harder to sustain. To understand processes of marginalisation and resilience from a multiplicity of viewpoints, there has been a growing demand for inclusive ways of knowledge production, taking into account approaches advocated by the civil society sector and knowledges carried by communities which have been encapsulated in the term ‘epistemologies of the South’. This volume seeks to respond to this need by arguing that collaborations between scholars, activists, stakeholders and communities together with artists can be used as a springboard to strengthen resilience in vulnerable urban areas by taking into account different viewpoints expressed through creative practice. It proposes to employ ‘Co-Creation’, reconceptualised as an alternative way to produce knowledge by bringing together academics, activists and artists and involving them in generating shared understandings of neighbourhoods and wider injustices in the city, through commonly-created artistic outputs. The authors use a multi-disciplinary framework to explore the relevance and suitability of Co-Creation as a broadly applicable methodology to challenge marginalisation in various contexts, primarily in Western Europe and Latin America. This comparative approach provides opportunities to test Co-Creation in various contexts and to address different forms of marginalisation including ethnic, racial, social, postcolonial and generational inequalities, and to discuss these experiences in the light of international debates on cohesive cities and active citizenship.

AbstractThis section focuses on the community and spatial aspects of social exclusion. For this introduction, we define the community aspect of exclusion as the unintended reduction of participation in local life and spatial aspects of exclusion as the unintended reduction of mobility outside and inside of a person’s home. Fighting against social exclusion of older adults is a priority due to the negative effects of exclusion on older adults’ quality of life as well as on the equity and cohesion of an ageing society as a whole (adapted from Levitas et al. 2007 in Walsh et al. 2017, p. 83). Place, as a socio-spatial phenomenon, can shape older adults’ lives and their experiences of social exclusion. It encompasses dimensions such as social and relational aspects of place, amenities and build environment, place-based policy and experiential belonging. The purpose of this chapter is to briefly introduce some allied concepts related to older people’s relationship with their place and environment, and broadly illustrate the relevance of this relationship to old-age social exclusion. The chapter closes with a short introduction to each contribution within this section.

This chapter was based on one of the largest Spanish cooperative groups, which is part of the social economy sector (SES). Added value is a useful concept; however, after analyzing this case, the authors found that social accounting provides additional information about the social value that companies generate. Then, by applying social accounting complemented by a value-added statement, these companies belonging to the SES can quantify, monetize, and compare their social value and added value, and demonstrate their contribution to society. Social accounting is necessary to demonstrate and understand the value of social economy companies, since their value is not always fundamentally centered on commercial activity; at least not only. They can monitor their effort in terms of specific social values that are not part of the market. Because of this, their value is not reflected in traditional financial statements.

The relationships between both structures tends to be framed within a collaborative dynamic in which the IOS serves the objectives of the alliance, thereby reinforcing the links that bind the alliance members together. However, in this chapter we also suggest that there may be a non-collaborative—that is, competitive—relationship between the IOS and the strategic alliance, especially when both structures compete for firms fromthe same sector and geographical area. To test our hypotheses we have analyzed a sample of 162 firms belonging to the agro-food sector in Spain.

The FMCG sector with a market share of $13.1 billion has presently proved itself as the fourth largest sector in the Indian economy. In fact, rural India with more than 70 percent share of the total Indian population has emerged as the most significant FMCG market. During the last two decades, deregulation, globalization, and liberalization measures adopted by the central government have made a paradigm change in the FMCG sector. Both the foreign direct and portfolio investments in Indian FMCG sector in the post-reform period have notably influenced the financial performance of the companies belonging to this sector. Moreover, increasing presence of MNCs in the Indian market has forced the existing domestic companies in the FMCG sector to reorient their financial strategies in order to survive. A large number of studies have been carried out to evaluate individually the different aspects of the financial performance of the FMCG companies in India. However, no comprehensive study for measuring the overall financial performance of the Indian FMCG sector by taking into account the financial data of the last two decades has been made. This chapter seeks to analyze the overall financial performance of 16 selected companies in the Indian FMCG sector during the period 1993-94 to 2012-13. The companies have been selected from “India's Most Respected Companies” as published by Business World, New Delhi, February 14, 2011 (Vol. 30, Issue 39) by following purposive sampling procedure. Relevant statistical techniques and tests have been used in carrying out the analysis.

The paper presents a method to investigate the flutter appearance in a cascade, where blades are connected together in a number of identical sectors. The key parameters of the method are vibration amplitudes and mode shapes of the blades belonging to the same sector. The aerodynamic response from a sectored vane cascade is calculated based on the aerodynamic work influence coefficients of freestanding blades performed with two-dimensional inviscid linearized flow solver. A case study based upon the presented methodology shows that, despite stabilizing effect of tying blades together into sectors, a sectored vane consisting of six low-pressure turbine blades vibrating with real single modes, and identical amplitudes can be unstable at realistic design conditions.

The selection of sensor locations during dynamic testing of integrally bladed disks (Blisks) is discussed for measuring experimental mode shapes. As-manufactured geometries of the experimental Blisk are obtained in point-cloud form via a structured light optical measurement system. The nominal finite element mesh of the Blisk is then “morphed” to the average sector of as-measured, point-cloud geometry through a mesh metamorphosis algorithm. A ray-tracing algorithm is developed for selecting observable degrees of freedom (DOFs) of the morphed mesh to an overhead laser scanning vibrometer. This set of DOFs is then down-selected since measuring tens-of-thousands of points is in-feasible during experimental testing. This selection is carried out using a Cyclic Effective Independence Method that exploits a Blisk’s cyclic symmetry to greatly reduce computational expenses. Furthermore, the approach allows for selecting points belonging to specific engine order excitations typical in engine operating environments that can be excited during bench top traveling wave testing. Measurement point locations are compared for three cyclic symmetry finite element models: a nominal coarse mesh density, a nominal fine mesh density, and a fine mesh density morphed to average sector geometries.

This investigation work consists on an analysis with the model European Customer Satisfaction Index (ECSI), in order to know the influence that has belonging to an Origin Denomination in the wine sector. So, we’ve made a marketing research directed to the particular case of Somontano’s Wine Origin Denomination which acts as an “umbrella” brand for many wineries of Aragón (Spain). Simultaneously these wineries have their wines under different brands. This study tries to find out if to belong to a DO benefits the wineries. Possibly “strong” wineries improve the image of Somontano’s DO and other wineries of the zone. Young wineries benefit themselves with the image old ones have earned. It brings us to a question about if DO Somontano and their customers satisfaction are related or not. Model ECSI allows us to determine consumers’ satisfaction aabout a certain product or service. It also demonstrates the relations existing between satisfaction and other factors that take part on purchase.

The introduction of mass transit systems in major cities of Colombia has led to several socio-economic impacts, arising from the market for diesel vehicles belonging to the public transport fleet in each city. The majority of diesel engines are sold a very low cost or are stored in the junkyards of the city’s industrial sector. This article proposes the development of a methodology for the remanufacture and transformation of these engines to an exclusive operation with biogas for use as a stationary source of electricity generation in rural areas. They are not connected to the country’s electricity network. This theoretical and experimental work is based on the implementation of specialized texts in the conversion of internal combustion engines to biogas, as applied to a Caterpillar 3126E diesel engine. Following completion of the study a conversion system was made to be installed in other types of Diesel engines. The instructions for this shows how to make the construction and operational changes to the engine, such as; decreasing the compression ratio, removing the Diesel injection system, adding ignition and feeding systems for Biogas. Also the engine was tested obtaining a maximum mechanical power of 63.4 kW (85 hp) and 211 N m (155.6 lb ft) of torque at 2800 rpm. The use of these engines in this application will reduce emissions of methane in the atmosphere, will help generate employment for the industrial sector and therefore contribute to the productive development of the country’s rural areas.

Triple deficit hypothesis defined as a status in which budget deficit, current account deficit and saving-investment gap are seen together has become important to explain the equalization problems of the countries in recent years. Also, the cases where saving-investment gaps are equalized by means of external deficit or public deficit is attempted to equalize by means of external deficit define twin deficit. While Conventional Keynesian Approach argues that budget deficit causes current account deficit, Ricardian Equivalence Approach claims that there is no correlation between budget deficit and current account deficit. In this study, the validity of the triple deficit hypothesis for the 17 transition economies between 2003-2011 by means of convenient and uninterrupted data set was analyzed via panel regression models. The data set was collected from World Bank and IMF databases. The data belonging to the variables of current account deficit, budget deficit and saving-investment gap were employed. The findings showed that the triple deficit hypothesis for the 17 transition economies is not valid in the period among 2003-2011. However, some evidence was found about the validity of Ricardian Equivalence Approach and the private sector saving-investment gap was found to be the primary riser of the current account deficit.

Being healthy is a condition which all individuals and all countries are willing to achieve. However, health is a difficult concept to define and describe. Countries that are striving to achieve better status of health allocate an increasing part of their national income to health sector and expect to get these expenditures' worth. Health economy is an important tool that can be utilized in determining the effect of expenditures on the status of health and improving the effectiveness of expenditures. Thus, health economics is being used both in micro and macro scales. One of the important criteria showing the health status and development of countries is infant mortality rate. Turkey is among the countries which closed the gap between itself and the developed countries in terms of infant mortality rate. In this study, velocity ratio between 2006 and 2012 in Turkey had been calculated in order to compare them with those of the developed countries. In order to compare Turkey's regional infant mortality rates, territorial velocity ratios had been calculated, Turkey Health Statistics Annual data belonging to the years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 had been used to carry out various statistical analyses in order to determine the factors affecting infant mortality rate. Although Turkey had improved itself in terms of infant mortality rates, there are still things to be achieved at the scale of the country and the regions.

Abstract The challenges related to current energy market force gas turbine owners to improve the reliability and availability of gas turbine engines, especially in the ever competitive market of the Oil & Gas sector. Gas turbine trip leads to business interruption and also reduces equipment remaining useful life. Thus, the identification of symptoms of trips is a key factor to predict their occurrence and avoid further damages and costs. Gas turbine transients are tracked by gas turbine operators while they occur, but a database including the complete details of past events for many fleets of engines is not always available. Therefore, a methodology aimed at classifying transients into clusters that identify the type of event (e.g., normal shutdown or trip) is required. Clustering is a data mining technique that addresses the scope of partitioning multi-variate time series into a given number of homogeneous and separated groups. In such a manner, the multi-variate time series belonging to the same cluster are very similar to each other and dissimilar to those of the other clusters. This paper presents a structured methodology composed of a subsequent matching algorithm, a featured-based clustering approach exploiting the unsupervised fuzzy C-means algorithm and a procedure that assigns a label to each cluster for classification purposes. The methodology is applied to a real-word case-study, by investigating transients acquired from a fleet of Siemens gas turbines in operation during three years. The results obtained by using heterogeneous datasets including six measured variables allowed values of Precision, Recall and Accuracy higher than 90 % in almost all cases.

The bi-national pipeline Loma de la Lata (Argentina)-Talcahuano (Chile) belonging to Gas del Pacifico, crosses the Andes at Latitude 37.1° South (Buta Mallin pass), following the Lileo river valley. In the region, there are large ancient landslides within an area of about 50 km2, which have been attributed to Holocene glaciations and seismic activity. In the winter of 2005, when snow limited the access to the area, it was found a pressure loss, that later was attributed to a landslide in a sector of the south bank of the valley. The adiabatic expansion generated a considerable volume of frozen soil around the pipe. The following summer it was studied the characteristics of the sliding and analyzed different solutions of the affected section. The geotechnical study showed details of the slipped area and its relationships with ancient landslides. It was found by comparative analysis of aerial photographs that an old slide about 1 km3 was not fully reactivated. The general morphology has remained unchanged at least in the last 50 years, when the oldest aerial photography was taken. As additional verification, it was found that a small set of cascading ponds located in the slipped mass, has remained stable at that time, bearing the influence of the great 1960 Mw = 9.6 Valdivia earthquake. It was identified tension cracks delimiting the slipped area that was a modest portion of the historical landslide. Geotechnical parameters were estimated by back analysis of the land involved and it could establish a model for sliding mass process. A general analysis of long-term stability took into account the influence of distant earthquakes such as the subduction zone, which has a recurrence of about 100 years and other local seismic sources. Prior to define the most appropriate solution, a 250 meters long trench was dug preventively releasing the pipeline from the terrain to avoid new deformations. Among the solutions considered were the construction of an absorption system with movement monitoring, or the relocation of the trace on the opposite bank of the river. It was decided to adopt the latter solution due to the difficulty of ensuring the stability of the terrain and the inaccessibility during the winter. It implied an additional river crossing and consequently, the need to monitor the stability of the channel to the river erosion.
