El modelo Black-Scholes para valoración de opciones europeas se usa bastante en el mercado por su fácil ejecución. Sin embargo, empieza a ser poco preciso en diferentes activos cuya dinámica no es de una distribución lognormal, por lo que se necesita buscar nuevas distribuciones para valorar opciones emitidas sobre diferentes activos subyacentes. Varios investigadores han trabajado en nuevas fórmulas de valoración de derivados suponiendo diferentes distribuciones ya sea para el precio del activo subyacente o para su retorno. Este artículo presenta dos fórmulas para valoración de activos: una modifica la fórmula usando una distribución de Weibull de dos parámetros propuesta por Savickas (2002) añadiendo dos nuevos parámetros (escala y localización) y otra supone que la distribución del activo es una mixtura de distribuciones de Weibull. Se presentan también comparaciones de estos modelos con otros ya existentes como Black-Scholes y el modelo de Savickas con distribución Weibull simple.

Relating the process of professional socialisation to professional adaptability and age, the hypothesis is raised that professional adaptability of young adults is lower than that of mature adults. The survey of 44 part-time students of different age from Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences applying the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) (Savickas, Porfeli, 2012) revealed that professional adaptability of young adults is statistically significantly lower than that of mature adults.

Students enrolled in university courses often lack knowledge of potential jobs and career paths they can take, which can inhibit their ability to plan, job seek and make decisions about their careers, and negatively impact on their ability to gain employment. To address this problem we developed and piloted a tailored, career-focused interactive online learning tool for public health and exercise science students, based on constructs of Savickas’ (2005) theory of career construction. This paper reports a mixed-methods study to understand student experiences of using that tool, and their perception of how well it prepared them for career planning. Twenty-two second-year students completed an online survey using both qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the perceived feasibility and acceptability of the interactive online learning tool. Descriptive (for quantitative data) and inductive content analyses (for qualitative data) were performed. Most students (86%) indicated that they would use the tool again. All students reported that the tool was user-friendly, engaging and informative and provided them with jobs that matched their personal and work-related skills and strengths. Qualitative data reflected these findings and identified seven key themes, including: value, career exploration, design, and tailoring, with themes partly reflecting components of Savicka’s theory. The tailored, career-focused interactive online learning tool was perceived to be a feasible and effective strategy to support university students in their career planning and job seeking behaviours prior to graduation. These findings can be used to inform and refine the development of career-focussed tools for students undertaking other University courses.

Arbetslösheten i Sverige har ökat och långtidsarbetslösheten bedöms vara den stora utmaningen i samhället de närmsta åren samtidigt som undersökningar visar att insatser inte har eller har haft önskvärd effektivitet. Undersökningar visar att en fördjupad vägledning skulle vara mer effektiv för långtidsarbetslösa, samt att fokus på insatser bör ligga på ett stöttande av humankapital före utlärandet av jobbsökningsfärdigheter. Syftet med denna studie var att synliggöra studie- och yrkesvägledarnas syn på vilka metoder de ansåg vara effektiva i vägledningsarbetet för långtidsarbetslösa, på vilka grunder metoder valdes, hur de såg på utmaningarna hos långtidsarbetslösa och hur de ansåg att dessa skulle adresseras. Studien var en kvalitativ undersökning som har utförts genom intervjuer med åtta studie- och yrkesvägledare som arbetar med eller har arbetat med långtidsarbetslösa. Studien utfördes utifrån ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv. Tematiska analyser av materialet har genomförts. Resultaten blev att många olika metoder framkom och några mer frekvent men utan stora skillnader mellan dessa. Bakom valet av metoder framkom teorier i ett eklektiskt synsätt direkt eller indirekt utifrån individen och dennes situation. De ofta förekommande utmaningarna för långtidsarbetslösa som framkom var bland annat dåligt självförtroende och låg motivation. För hanterandet av dessa framkom ett fokus på styrkor och ett stöttande motivationsarbete i vägledningen. Några slutsatser ur studien är att kunskap om många metoder ökar möjligheterna för ett individanpassat val för ökad effektivitet i vägledningen. Att utmaningar hanterades genom ett fokus på individen och att denne äger lösningarna.

Šio darbo tikslas — atpažinti meno reformą Balio Sruogos kritikoje ir Jurgio Savickio novelistikoje. 1. Pirmas darbo uždavinys — pateikti intuityvistinės meno filosofijos bruožus. 2. Antras šio darbo uždavinys — išanalizuoti literatūros teorijų ir metodų suvokimą B. Sruogos kritikoje. 3. Trečias uždavinys — atskleisti meno sampratą B. Sruogos kritikoje. 4. Ketvirtas darbo uždavinys: pateikti Jurgio Savickio kūrybos vertinimus; atskleisti modernumo bruožus jo kūryboje; paieškoti J. Savickio kūrybos novatoriškumo ištakų. Darbe prieita prie šių išvadų. 1. XIX-XX century junctions, and the twentieth century the beginning in Lithuania formed typological literature research, criticism, was to settle the essence of art, originality, problem, and do not dispute. In this context, as one of the most active reformers Lithuanian literature, there Balys Sruoga and Jurgis Savickis. So the goal - to recognize the art criticism of the reform of Sruoga and Savickis creation. 1. The first task of the work - to provide the philosophy of art intuitivism features. 2. The second task of this work - to analyze the literary theories and methods in the understanding of B. Sruoga criticism. 3. The third task - to reveal the art concept of B. Sruoga criticism. 4. The fourth task of working out J. Savickis assessments of his creative; to reveal features of the modern artist's creativity, to explore the J. Savickas creative source of innovation. The work led to the following conclusions. 1. Intuitive philosophy of art, the art world and the intuitive understanding of knowledge in the set, emerged as a reaction to the rationalist and positive ideas institutionalized. This work concerns the book "Litauiska noveller" [Lithuanian Short Stories],  a collection of nine Lithuanian short stories translated into Swedish by noted Finnish diplomat Ragnar Öller (1893-1960) and tutor and  journalist Nils Bohman (1902-1943).   The authors of the nine short stories are Jonas Biliūnas, Vincas Krėvė-Mickevičius, Antanas Žukauskas-Vienuolis, Ignas Jurkunas-Scheynius, Jurgis Savickis, Petras Cvirka, and Petronėlė Orintaitė. The 242-page book published 1940 in Stockholm, was the first translation of literary texts from the Lithuanian appearing in the Swedish language. In spite of a professionally carried out translation, the book never gained the attention of Swedish literary circles, and has more or less been forgotten throughout the post war period and up to the present. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the history leading up to the publication of the book within the context of Swedish-Lithuanian relations, and analyse the possible reasons of why this work remained unnoticed for so many decades. Why was the book not reviewed in the Swedish daily press? Was the book ignored because of the choice of authors of the novels? Was the disregard due to the political situation? A discussion from a few selected points of view follows on some possible reasons of why the launch of "Litauiska noveller" failed in 1940. An appendix listing published works of Lithuanian authors in the Scandinavian languages (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic) up to 1996 is attached.

There have been significant changes in business—in the nature of employment—influenced by the transformations in the economy, society and technology. These changes led to uncertainty and competition in the labor market, insecurity in employment, and divisions in career paths. This was especially important in the 21st century where the technological advancements have created a more mobile, unstable environment. Career construction theory describes elucidative and relational progress through which individual impose meaning and direction on his/her vocational behaviors. This chapter, which approaches the idea of Savickas in a theoretical basis, offers a consideration on the career construction thinking based on his propositions. The chapter provides a framework for viewing vocational behavior across the lifespan as a dynamic process which considers life themes, vocational personality, and career adaptability. To this end, it aims to support academics, human resources specialists, and counsellors to benefit from Savickas' seminal thought.

In this chapter, career and life design concepts were examined through the lens of Savickas' theory and related studies in related literature. In this respect, how career conceptions have gone into transformation and turned into a life design approach were analyzed by using different perspectives in related literature. How these issues were perceived was revealed through analyzing the opinions of young participants between the ages 24-28, whose awareness of career was raised as a result of the seminars and projects they had participated in. A qualitative phenomenological design was used in this study. According to the results of the study, participants required career trainings to explore themselves. The more participants were optimistic about themselves, the more they were motivated in career development. Despite of the problems regarding familial backgrounds and education system, participants could make their own ways by the help of their entrepreneurship skills and social environment.

This chapter deals with counselling for first-year students as a way to strengthen motivation and mastery. Based on the model ForVei – preparatory counselling, it is argued for the relevance of the counselling conversation as a part of follow-up and study programme quality in higher education and the time of mass education. ForVei is based on the basic values MSHRL – Met, Seen, Heard, Respected, Equal, which is central to the way the conversation is conducted. It is the student’s motivation, mastery and well-being that are the main focus of ForVei, which is now practiced at several universities in Norway, such as the University of Oslo and Nord University. The chapter contains examples from our own research project on ForVei – counselling at INN University, where career guidance is a theme, as well. In the perspective of the student’s motivation and experience, counselling and learning theory are used, among others, with Vance Peavy’s constructivist Socio-Dynamic Counselling and Mark S. Savicka’s concept of self-efficacy. The latter, for example, helps to shed light on differences in self-perception and belief in one’s own resources and abilities. The chapter deals with these and other topics in light of study programme quality and ForVei – counselling for first-year students.
