Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis is a study of the works of Moacyr Scliar and Régine Robin. The writing of Moacyr Scliar mainly focuses on the issue of Jewish immigration to Brazil and on the adaptation and integration into the Brazilian society. He constructs with humor and lightness characters that are often living internal conflicts, trying to constitute themselves an identity composed of traces of memories and the new reality which surrounds them. It is the case of the characters of his works that integrate my corpus, namely, the Centaur in the garden and His majesty of the Indians. The writings of the Quebec-French Régine Robin include several areas of knowledge and follow a trend or a movement of writers in Quebec who favor in their writings an idea of national construction that does not have the country as the center, but rather an identity approach which strengthens and signals the wide cultural and ethnic diversity that makes up Quebec. This is what they call the migrant writing. Our interest mainly focuses on his literary production, namely the novel La Québécoite and his storybook The immense fatigue of Stones. However, her production as a theorist provides complementary elements for the analysis of his literary works, such as The Memory Novel, Kafka, and The Saturated Memory. Régine Robin and Moacyr Scliar have in common the fact of creating in their books an intermediate space between facts and fiction, and also to present expressions of the American community of Jewish origin. In this way, are intertwined in their works a national dimension, a regional dimension and a transnational community dimension

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleTaking as a starting point the paradoxical link that exists between testimony and literature (one being considered veracious and the other, fictional), this master’s thesis explores the use of fiction in the autobiographical and testimonial works of Jorge Semprun, with L’Écriture ou la vie (1994), and Régine Robin, with L’Immense fatigue des pierres (1996). This study tries to confirm the assumption that, in making their testimony a literary work which assumes a fare share of fiction, the two authors succeed in offering a more accurate testimony of their experience of Holocaust. Chapter one consists in a critic and historic overview of the two approaches, which are this thesis foundations : the Holocaust studies and the testimonial writings (Derrida, Bornand, Prstojevic) on one hand, and the studies on autobiographical writings (Lejeune, Robin, Viart and Vercier) on the other. It focusses on finding what unifies them and tries to position Robin and Semprun in this large literary conventions spectrum. The next two chapters of this thesis are focussing on the various fictional effects as well as on the reality-occurencies in both novels of the corpus, first by studying the staging of this ambiguous truth pact through the literary representation of the auctorial figures and the act of writing, and then, by observing the literary representation of reality through the many intertextual references, the actual concentration camp visits descriptions (that have become a topos of Holocaust literature) and finally Semprun and Robin’s particular use of the archives.
Aubin, Julie. „Mémoire juive et espace urbain dans Dora Bruder et La Québécoite“. Thèse, 2011. http://hdl.handle.net/1866/5957.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis offers crossed readings of urban memory in Dora Bruder from Patrick Modiano and La Québécoite from Régine Robin. Both stories depict narrators heirs of the Holocaust memory who roam the cities of Paris and Montreal. The city is a space of intelligibility whose signs are meaningful to the observer. Using the semiotics of the city (Benjamin), the practices of the city (De Certeau) and taking into account the specific position of both narrators on the issues of testimony and writing, this study seeks to explore how the city spreads the Jewish memory while at the same time contributing to its inevitable loss. The Second World War took partly place in Paris, which bears the traces in a high density of memory, while Montreal, a city where Holocaust events did not unfold, is hosting memories otherwise within its urban space. In both stories, the city is necessary to the writing of the breakdown and loss, which reveal themselves both in the background (urban destruction, repeated failures, loss of identity) and form (question of the story, generic hybridity.)
Letendre, Daniel. „À la cheville des temps : la construction du présent dans la littérature narrative française au tournant du XXIe siècle“. Thèse, 2013. http://hdl.handle.net/1866/10355.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis doctoral thesis highlights present-day French authors’ narrative strategies used to illustrate and conceive the present. Our central hypothesis is that through an act of utterance intermeshing discourse and narration, as well as the critical and pragmatic use of references to the past, today’s narrative literature offers a counterpoint to the “presentism” described by François Hartog (i.e. a retrospective look at eras in which the present is both the vantage point and the point under observation). By so doing, contemporary authors offer a system of historicities where the past and the future are linked to the present in order to reconcile the link between the three temporal categories and reveal a present which, otherwise, would remain narratively elusive or subrogated to the authority of a past or a future that dictates its behaviour. By distancing their works from the fictional genre and from the narrative form it embodies, Pierre Bergounioux, François Bon, Olivier Cadiot, Annie Ernaux, Chloé Delaume, Jean Echenoz and Olivier Rolin, amongst others, are part of the enunciative tradition of the narrative, considered here as a literary genre in which the enunciation and the text in gestation are, in and of themselves, their own intrigue. In the contemporary narrative, the aim of the enunciation subject is to clarify its relationship to time by using enunciative scenes having to do with this quest and the conversation so that from a personal and intellectual anamnesis, as well as from the clash of a memory with its recounting, emerge the characteristics integral to the present experience. And yet, one of the characteristics of the present that the contemporary subject experiences seems to be a resistance to narration and to storytelling, which makes it almost impervious to literary analysis. Authors take up this opposition to storytelling by using, in an effort to bring the immediacy of the present to the foreground, the note, the journal entry, and literary genres that thwart narration, such as poetry. In spite of their enunciative efforts to distil the present from the operation that transforms it into the past, these authors are nevertheless faced, time and again, with having to live the immediate dissipation of the present and their inability to capture in a literary form its essence. Perhaps the only way to offer a glimpse of this is to try to create the present by repeatedly showing the impossibility of such an achievement.
