In theory, the role and value of prizes in the economic mechanism is not controversial. It is now established order in which the incentive funds formed by stable regulations approved differentiated in size from year to year development cycle, the main indicator is the plan of product supply contracts, increased productivity, improved quality prepared products, growth in net profit. So there is every reason to believe the introduction of long-term wage standards for the hryvnia to strengthen product allows interest groups to increase productivity and reduce employee turnover, improved promotion procedure for combining professions, with high rates of labour initiative for implementing reasonable standards. In practice, the issue of incentives is of great interest and is constantly in the spotlight. The aim – to present one possible incentive works and those working in the system to ensure product quality in terms of increasing the responsibility of working for the final results. The formation stimulation funds spent; in fact they are regulated current set order. The distribution fund to encourage formation size of bonus payments and working units is quite controversial. This approach to the distribution system of bonus payments for quality work allows retransmit the incentive oriented, the final results of the enterprise as a whole to each worker. For workers with decentralized formation of the material incentive fund in the main production shops, it is recommended to increase the size of the incentive fund, for the shop provided an increase in the number of workers working with a personal stamp, and with an increase in the number of workers delivering products on demand. The proposed mechanism is universal. It can be used in enterprises regardless of their industry and structural profiles and can solve the problem for the optimum management of misalignment. Selecting works as a criteria for bonus payments while providing a reduction or streamlining expenses related to providing quality products.

Small and medium-sized enterprises face the challenges that they do not have enough employees and related resources to produce high-quality products with limited budget and time. The emergence of crowdsourcing provides an opportunity for them to improve their products by leveraging the wisdom of a large community of crowds, including their potential customers. With this new opportunity, product design could be conducted partially in a traditional design environment (in-house design) and partially in a crowdsourcing environment. This article focuses on product design stages to investigate what key factors affect product design quality and how it can be controlled and assured. First, we define the concept of product design quality and then identify its attributes and sub-attributes. Second, we separately survey key factors affecting product design quality in traditional and crowdsourcing-based design environments, quality control approaches/theories and quality assurance policies in traditional design environment. Third, a comparison of product design quality issues between the traditional and crowdsourcing-based design environments is progressed focusing on various aspects influencing product design activity quality. Finally, we discuss product design quality control approaches and quality assurance policies, quality control challenges and corresponding solutions in crowdsourcing-based design environment.

Abstract Although the overall quality assurance concepts and goals for pesticide formulation analysis are similar to those required of an environmental or trace level analysis laboratory, some important distinctions exist, particularly for quality control. Generally, target levels (label values) are known and pesticide identification can be assumed, thus minimizing the need for verification of pesticide identity and for detailed confirmation of quantitative results reasonably close to the label value. Exceptions are cross-contaminant screening and by-product analysis. Quality control efforts in the formulation laboratory are concentrated on those samples falling outside the established acceptance criteria. The use of official (AOAC/Collaborative International Pesticides Analytical Council (CIPAC)) methodology, replicate determinations, second analyst confirmation, and alternative methodology (if necessary) is stressed. Specific attention must also be paid to the quality and preparation of analytical reference standards.

Improving the quality of finished products, as well as its provision, associated with costs at all stages of the production process of finished products, in the pre-production and post-production periods. The cost of quality assurance at the stage of the production process occupies a special place in the total cost of quality. Difficulties in estimating the cost of product quality assurance are that there is no experience in determining the production costs of quality assurance of finished products and that the number of influencing factors that must be taken into account in the manufacture of final products of a given level of quality in mass production. Ensuring the quality of products requires significant costs, which over time, given the growing requirements for the quality of finished products, will grow, which determines the need to develop a mechanism to link quality management of finished products with normalized costs to ensure its quality. An article devoted to this little-studied problem and aims to outline theoretical, methodological and practical ways to manage the cost of quality, their coordination in terms of ensuring a given level of quality of finished products. The problem of coordinating (managing) the costs of quality is dictated by the need to include in the case all the reserves and opportunities to improve efficiency and quality, including the ability to correctly calculate, analyze, evaluate and compare costs and results. The purposes of the article, justifying the need for an interdependent system of quality management indicators, is in line with the objectives of resource conservation, a sharp increase in economic efficiency of the production process and improve the quality of products. The scientific problem understood the role as the costs inflicted rocker economic (economic) efficiency mode of operation of the quality management system of finished products, the algorithm definition, calculation methods, detection, calculation, forecasting and control(coordination) costs of product quality.

As the accounting profession enters new assurance markets, many decisions as to the best manner in which such services can be provided must be addressed. For instance, the traditional audit/attest-reporting model may not provide adequate information to justify the cost of assurance services in some situations. Alternatively, potential clients may turn to other assurance providers who are willing to provide better quality services and/or more informative assurance reporting. In this study, we examine the impact of a two-tier reporting model on the market demand for assurance services on software product reliability. One tier uses the traditional binary report common with audit/attest services where a standard report notes whether a software product achieves a minimum standard, while the other tier of reporting provides for a graded assessment of multiple levels of quality. The results indicate that when a graded report that differentiates high-quality vendors from moderateor low-quality vendors is available (1) high-quality vendors are willing to pay for the report, (2) buyers are willing to pay a premium for the reduced risk associated with a highquality opinion, and (3) high-quality vendors are able to drive other vendors with inferior products out of the market. When only a binary report is available, the market is more confused and chaotic. Vendors are not able to signal quality clearly; the high-quality vendor is not able to dominate the market; there is less vendor demand for the assurance report; buyers are unable to determine their desired product and make less total profit. These results have several implications for the accounting profession and researchers as they work on the design of new assurance service models.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to identify the risk factors that affect aquatic product quality in the “farming-supermarket docking” condition. This paper investigates how the investment scale can affect earnings and aquatic product quality assurance level. Also, it aims to determine an effective method for increasing aquatic product assurance level, coordinate the supply chain and improve management of the entire supply chain. Design/methodology/approach The authors construct a coordination model for quality risk control of the aquatic supply chain by simulating the model in a tilapia supply chain using the case study method. They applied Karush–Kuhn–Tucker conditions to analyze upstream enterprises (breeding base) and downstream enterprises (corresponding supermarket) under the conditions of sufficient or insufficient funds, Further, they consider the relationships among revenue, optimum quality assurance and investment scale at different capital positions; discuss the best cooperation conditions in four cases; and draw conclusions on ways to control quality risk. Findings The proposed coordination model is found to be effective in controlling aquatic product quality risk. The simulation results show that when the enterprise funds are sufficient, the sales prices, product freshness, quality assurance ability, collaboration and quality test ability have a positive influence on quality assurance level, whereas coefficient and price sensitivity have a negative influence on it. Additionally, it can obtain high-quality assurance levels and earnings in both breeding bases and supermarkets under the condition of adequate investment. Originality/value The study built a coordination model combined with the characteristics of the aquatic supply chain by adding the quality penalty mechanism, product freshness parameters and cost function in the “farming-supermarket docking” mode into the traditional principal–agent model. Research results are beneficial to enhancing the quality assurance level of the aquatic supply chain and improving the coordination level of the supply chain.

Automobile industry practice has shown that it is not sufficient merely to apply familiar quality control methods such as FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis) or QFD (quality function deployment), to introduce development process (DP) systems or to adopt project management procedures when an improvement in product quality is required. More than this has to be done: the product development procedure must be better arranged and made capable of achieving preventive quality assurance. This paper presents an all-areas quality assurance concept as drawn up in the body development area of the BMW AG company and implemented successfully in the course of several pilot projects prior to general introduction. In spite of the known benefits of the agile methodology, yet issue still exists in developing high-quality software product using this methodology. Hence, quality assurance mechanism should be in place in agile development to ensure quality adherence to the software product. However, taking up quality assurance in agile software development is not an easy task as it has its own manifesto and principles that need to be met. Thus, this paper highlights the issues and challenges towards adopting quality assurance in agile development methodology. Particularly, in aniteration where we need to assure that the product increment meets the requirements as well as to decide the requirements for next increment and iteration planning. Subsequently, few measuresare identifiedconcerning the issues. The discussion in this paper is based on Scrum case, yet still relevant to other types of agile methodologies.

Competitive Intelligence (CI) improves the quality of product and service, decision-making and it improves quality of life. However, it has been established that decision makers are not happy about the quality of CI. This is because enterprises fail in quality assurance of CI. It has been concluded that most enterprises are clueless concerning CI quality assurance. Studies that previously attempted to resolve CI quality problem were limited in scope and focused too much on the quality of information than the overall CI quality. The purpose of this study is to propose a conceptual CI quality assurance model which will help in quality assurance of CI. The research was qualitative in nature and used content analysis.

Rapid Quality assurance is an important element in software testing in order to produce high quality products in Software Product Line (SPL). One of the testing techniques that can enhance product quality is Model-Based Testing (MBT). Due to MBT effectiveness in terms of reuse and potential to be adapted, this technique has become an efficient approach that is capable to handle SPL requirements. In this paper, the authors present an approach to manage variability and requirements by using Feature Model (FM) and MBT. This paper focuses on modelling the integration towards enhancing product quality and reducing testing effort. Further, the authors considered coverage criteria, including pairwise coverage, all-state coverage, and all-transition coverage, in order to improve the quality of products. For modelling purposes, the authors constructed a mapping model based on variability in FM and behaviour from statecharts. The proposed approach was validated using mobile phone SPL case study.

Demonstration Project 89 on Quality Management was created to provide guidance on the use of practical and effective procedures to assure that the level of quality designed into the plans and specifications is actually achieved in the constructed product. One part of this effort is the distribution of a software package consisting of several interactive programs developed for use on the personal computer. These extremely user-friendly programs make it possible to analyze both pass/fail and pay adjustment acceptance procedures, construct operating characteristic curves, plot control charts, experiment with computer simulation, perform statistical comparisons of data sets, demonstrate the unreliability of decisions based on a single test result, and explore the effectiveness of stratified random sampling. This comprehensive software package provides highway engineers with the necessary tools to learn why some statistical procedures are inherently superior to others and how to incorporate this knowledge into fair and effective construction specifications.

Since 1992, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has been working to improve quality in construction contracting and ultimately the quality of the product provided to the public. In 1996, Caltrans implemented quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) specifications for asphalt concrete paving. These specifications require contractor QC and provide rewards or penalties based on statistical quality analysis of eight quality characteristics. These specifications were developed through a joint Caltrans/industry group and are supplemented with a QC manual. They were introduced through presentations to user/producer groups, appointment of district QC/QA coordinators, and training for engineers. In March 1996 the first project using QC/QA specifications for asphalt concrete went to bid and in the first year six projects were completed with them. Early projects were for the most part successful. Throughout 1996-1997, the specifications, the QC manual, and the implementation program were reviewed. Revisions to the specifications have been developed. The specifications and manual, issues, recommendations based on the 1996 projects, changes Caltrans has made for the continued use of QC/QA for asphalt concrete, and anticipated additional endeavors in the areas of QC/QA and materials testing are discussed here.
