Karcinom srednjeg uva je retko otološko oboljenje. Nastanak malignog procesase uzročno-posledično najčešće povezuje s hroničnim zapaljenskimprocesima srednjeg uva, mada mehanizmi nastanka još uvek nisu sasvimrazjašnjeni. Klinička slika karcinoma nije uvek karakteristična, a tumor sečesto otkriva u odmakloj fazi bolesti. Rana dijagnostika zasnovana na dokazimapodrazumeva preciznu procenu i identifikaciju znakova malignogprocesa. Na ovu bolest treba misliti ako curenje iz uva prate intenzivni bolovi,krvarenje iz uva, pojava periferne paralize facijalnog živca, vrtoglavicai gubitak sluha, mada se slična klinička simptomatologija viđa i kod hroničnihotitisa. Pored toga, karakteristične simptome karcinoma čine i sledećiznaci: promene u predelu temporomandibularnog zgloba, otok u regijiparotidne žlezde, bezbolan otok mastoidnog predela, neurološki poremećaji,iznenadna pojava polipa i granulacija (brzi recidivi polipa i granulacijaposle uklanjanja), znaci otogenih komplikacija, kao i opšta slabost, gubitaktelesne težine i drugi biološki poremećaji. Prilikom dijagnostike karcinomakoriste se opšteprihvaćene preporuke i protokoli lečenja.

This monographical study is dedicated to the largest of the former Prague slums, to the slum Na Slatinách (Slatiny), the area of provisional housing of social excluded poor. It describes the time and circumstances of its formation in the middle 20s. It examines the creation of local community as well as its changes under the influences of political and economic forces during the second half of the 20th century. The study is further focused on interception of contemporary unsatisfactory condition of locality, on description of strong diversity of physical and social environment which is reflected in specific modified social relations and structure.

This diploma thesis, entitled Inner Peripheries of contemporary Prague in the archives documents - trends and sonds, deals with changes originally separated urban areas located outside Prague, which went through significant transformations during last 150 years. For this thesis three studies were selected: city districts Karlín, Libeň and Vysočany. All three peripheries were originally separated areas of rural type which were located near centre of Prague. With the arrival of industry in the middle of 19th Century they turned into heavily industrial areas, in the beginning of 20th Century merged with the capital city, thus creating Great Prague. Many changes took place also with river Vltava regulations. During last 25 years the capital city is being modernized. This modernization is connected with additional changes in peripheries: old and unused factories are demolished and new buildings are built on their places or they are converted for other purposes. Because of this there are another impacts on the surrounding landscape. This issue also concerns industrial herritage: its main purpose is preservation and protection of former industrial buildings. The main goal of this thesis is description of these changes and their impact on the landscape with using maps, pictorial and written sources.

"Region" is nowadays one of the most frequented term in the discourse of the humanities. In the approach of the History, the region is used as a theoretical and methodological concept, whose content has wide range in other social sciences, such as Human Geography and Sociology. This thesis deals with the possibility of the utilization of this term in the historical research applicated on the particular case of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. Thesis describes the recent state of the research and the progress in the approach to the term of region. The main concepts which can be used in the case of the Highlands are also shown and described. This particular region was chosen because of its specificity - it's a central periphery, which formed itself into a centralized and institutionalized modern region, the Vysočina Region, during the 20th century. The basic way-out is Anssi Paasi's theory of the shaping of regions. According to it, region can be found in many dimensions in the process of its creation - not just in a physical shape, but also in a symbolic shape, in the making of its identity. Eventually, region has got variable social and economic characteristics. The meaning in which region is percepted and imagined is also changed by these processes of creation - the role of the region is changing...
