De nombreux objets du quotidien contiennent des nanomatériaux manufacturés (NMM), fréquemment utilisés par l’industrie (cosmétique, agroalimentaire, pharmaceutique, automobile, aéronautique, pneumatique, de fabrication d’articles de la vie quotidienne, etc.). Lors de leur cycle de vie, ces objets relarguent des NMM qui peuvent se retrouver dans les eaux usées urbaines, les eaux de ruissellement ou encore les eaux usées industrielles. Les stations d’épuration (STEP) n’ont pas été conçues pour traiter les nanomatériaux. L’association Record (Réseau coopératif de recherche sur l’économie circulaire, les déchets et l’environnement) a mené en 2019 une étude visant à répertorier l’état des connaissances concernant la présence de NMM dans les différentes filières de traitement des déchets, dont le traitement des effluents liquides. La plupart des articles publiés tendent à montrer que les NMM finissent principalement dans les boues en sortie de STEP, soit dans les boues primaires, par agglomération et/ou agrégation puis décantation lors des procédés primaires, soit dans les boues secondaires, après adsorption sur les matières organiques ou les micro-organismes des boues activées, lors des traitements secondaires. Les NMM se trouvant dans les boues et/ou dans les effluents épurés en sortie de STEP peuvent donc finir dans l’environnement aquatique et dans les sols, via le rejet des eaux épurées dans les cours d’eau et également via l’épandage des boues. Ces NMM peuvent également inhiber le fonctionnement des STEP. Toutefois, les études sont principalement menées à l’échelle du laboratoire, avec des NMM purs, bien que ceux-ci puissent subir des transformations dans les réseaux d’évacuation, les prétraitements et les traitements primaires, à de fortes concentrations, etc. Extrapoler ces résultats aux impacts probables dans les conditions opératoires d’une STEP demeure donc délicat, d’où l’importance de continuer les recherches sur l’identification et la quantification des différents types de NMM entrant dans les STEP ainsi que leur devenir (transformation, stabilisation, etc.) lors des différents processus de traitement des effluents liquides.

Abstract: The 2008 proposal for a directive on consumer rights has been received with quite some hostility by the academic community. This paper argues that the proposal should be welcomed. It tries to demonstrate that the proposed maximum harmonization, with the exception of the regime on contract terms, is an improvement for all parties. The one proviso is that the standard of consumer protection, which the proposal in some instances diminishes, should live up to the high level required by Article 153 EC Treaty. Résumé: Le projet de directive sur les droits des consommateurs a été mal accueilli. Le présent article veut montrer que ce projet peut être approuvé. Hormis les clauses abusives, l’harmonisation maximale est une amélioration pour toutes les parties. A condition que le niveau de protection du consommateur qui, dans certains cas a été diminué, réponde aux exigences de l’article 153 du Traité CE. Zusammenfassung: Der Entwurf einer Richtlinie über Verbraucherrechte von 2008 ist im Schrifttum schlecht empfangen worden. Dieser Beitrag versucht zu erklären weshalb der Entwurf begrüßenswert ist. Die vorgeschlagene vollständige Harmonisierung, mit Ausnahme des Bereichs der Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen, ist zu begrüßen. Der Text sollte nur mit dem vom Artikel 153 EG verlangten hohem Schutzniveau übereinstimmen, was im Vorschlag nicht immer der Fall ist.

This article provides introductory, step-by-step explanations of how to make a specialized corpus and an annotated frequency-based vocabulary list. One of my objectives is to help teachers, instructors, program administrators, and graduate students with little experience in this field be able to do so using free resources. Instructions are first given on how to create a specialized corpus. The steps involved in developing an annotated frequency-based vocabulary list focusing on the specific word usage in that corpus will then be explained. The examples are drawn from a project developed in an English for Academic Purposes Nursing Foundations Program at a university in the Middle East. Finally, a brief description of how these vocabulary lists were used in the classroom is given. It is hoped that the explanations provided will serve to open the door to the eld of corpus linguistics. Cet article présente des explications, étape par étape, visant la création d’un corpus spécialisé et d’un lexique annoté et basé sur la fréquence. Un de mes objectifs consiste à aider les enseignants, les administrateurs de programme et les étudiants aux études supérieures avec peu d’expérience dans ce domaine à réussir ce projet en utilisant des ressources gratuites. D’abord, des directives expliquent la création d’un corpus spécialisé. Ensuite, sont présentées les étapes du développement d’un lexique visant le corpus, annoté et basé sur la fréquence. Les exemples sont tirés d’un projet développé dans une université du Moyen-Orient pour un cours d’an- glais académique dans un programme de fondements de la pratique infirmière. En dernier lieu, je présente une courte description de l’emploi en classe de ces listes de vocabulaire. J’espère que ces explications ouvriront la porte au domaine de la linguistique de corpus.

The Project Archaeo-Term: Initial Results This article aims at describing the objectives, the theoretical and methodological background, the development, and the first results of the Archaeo-Term project of the University of Naples "L'Orientale", Department of Literary, Linguistic and Comparative Studies. The Archaeo-Term project has been developed within the YourTermCULT project promoted by the Terminology Without Borders Project of the Terminology Coordination Unit (TermCoord) of the European Parliament - Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) specifically for collecting terminology in different aspects related to culture. The aim of the Archaeo-Term project is to enhance the access to the archaeological data in several formats and languages. It represents a common effort to contribute to the creation of linguistic and terminological resources for the domain of Cultural Heritage (CH) and, in particular, for the sub-domain of archaeology, which is notably highly complex and fragmented. One of the first results of the Archaeo-Term project is the creation of a multilingual terminological resource for the domain of archaeology, which can be conveniently employed in different Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks, including Machine Translation (MT). The first version of the Archaeo-Term multilingual terminological resource is available in 5 languages: Italian, English, Spanish, German, and Dutch and is publicly accessible online. With the objective of promoting a common and shared termbase across different languages, the Archaeo-Term terminological resource is addressed not only to a specialized audience such as experts in the field of archaeology but also as terminological support for translators and interpreters during their professional practice, as well as for a more general audience. The terminological resource is the result of an extraction and aggregation process carried out starting from two already existing thesauri: the Italian "Thesaurus per la definizione dei reperti archeologici" developed by the Italian Central Institute for Catalogue and Documentation (Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione - ICCD) and the multilingual Art and Architecture Thesaurus (AAT) developed by the Getty Research Institute, which is among the most trustworthy and accurate resources in the domain of Cultural Heritage. Taking advantage of the Semantic Web formalisms applied to these terminological resources, we are able to extract and merge information from the aforementioned thesauri using SPARQL queries. Indeed, we run different queries against the SPARQL endpoint to enrich our multilingual terminological resource by extracting useful information about the different terminological entries. The information extracted and merged from these thesauri by means of several consecutive queries is as follows: the equivalent terms in the foreseen languages, the alternative terms and the plural forms, the domains and sub-domains, the definitions of the terms, and their sources. Furthermore, the extraction phase has been followed by an evaluation step aimed at checking missing information, verifying and adjusting possible misalignments among entries, and setting potential future implementations. As an ongoing project, we are also planning to enlarge the terminological resource with equivalent terms in other languages such as French, Swedish, Polish, Russian, and Chinese, with the aim of extending the language coverage also to non- European languages which are usually under-represented and low-resourced. As a first implementation with regards to the first version of the terminological resource, we have currently collected: 1.059 entries in Italian, 1.055 in Spanish, 1.053 in English, 843 in Russian, 600 in Polish, 460 in German, 193 in French, and 82 in Chinese. To conclude, the Archaeo-Term project aims at promoting the creation of high-quality and trustworthy multilingual terminological resources for the domain of archaeology by also collaborating at the same time with institutions, experts in the field of terminology, linguistics, and cultural heritage.

Theoretical discussion is illustrated from experience gained in the preliminary phases of an international research project on HIV/AIDS work in Brazil. La congruence avec le travail social est notée. Spanish Se presenta un modelo de cinco fases para establecer investigación participativa, modelo que refleja los principios de colaboración entre los investigardores y los miembros de la comunidad. La teoría se ilustra con la experiencia derivada de las fases preparatorias de un proyecto de investigación internacional sobre el VIH/SIDA en el Brasil. The extension of the European Union to the East of Europe, which officially took place the 1st of May 2004, has been the most important step of the contemporary European history. All actors responsible for the social and economic life are concerned, among which the enterprises play a major part. The German industry seems to be in the most favourable position (with competitive advantages) in order to catch the new opportunities ; it is also familiar with the area since a long time but nevertheless there are a lot of obstacles to regard and to move away. The decisions to engage the firms include a series of economic analysis which are logical and rational ones, and which are shortly mentioned further on in this article. But these decisions are not independent from a series of cultural variables especially political and historical ones. These variables cover the decisions like a tight veil. They have not to be underestimated in order to understand the whole complexity of the reality. In any case the new movement towards integration offers outstanding chances for Europe to build a stimulating future able to shine beyond the EU frontiers.

Documentée dès le début des années 1970 dans les océans, la présence des microplastiques dans l’environnement est une préoccupation croissante. Les sources d’émissions des microplastiques sont nombreuses et liées aux activités humaines. Les stations d’épuration (STEP) sont parfois présentées comme des sources de microplastiques, alors qu’un nombre croissant d’études démontrent des performances d’élimination élevées des microplastiques lors du traitement des eaux usées. Les premières études se sont concentrées sur les microplastiques de taille supérieure à 300 μm analysables par des techniques simples (microscopie optique notamment) couramment utilisées dans les laboratoires. Le développement d’outils analytiques plus puissants a permis d’abaisser la limite de détection à quelques micromètres. Cependant, l’absence de protocoles analytiques harmonisés (échantillonnage, préparation d’échantillons…) rend encore difficile à ce jour la comparaison des résultats de différentes études. Le projet Mediplast vise à évaluer l’occurrence des microplastiques dans le petit cycle de l’eau de la métropole de Toulon en utilisant une méthode d’analyse robuste et reproductible sur l’ensemble des échantillons. Les microplastiques jusqu’à 10 μm sont identifiés et quantifiés dans quatre STEP composées de différents procédés de traitement. Des campagnes de mesure sont également réalisées dans le milieu marin à six endroits de la baie de Toulon pour évaluer l’impact des rejets des STEP, mais aussi des activités portuaires. Une très bonne performance des STEP est constatée avec une élimination des microplastiques supérieure à 99,4 %. Le traitement primaire est l’étape la plus efficace, mais les biofiltres et les filtres à disques permettent d’affiner l’élimination des microplastiques restant jusqu’à 69 %. Les mesures en mer ne permettent pas de montrer une augmentation significative de la teneur en microplastiques aux points de rejet des stations d’épuration par rapport au milieu non touché par le rejet.

Le projet GOQUAPI met en oeuvre, dans un premier temps, une construction didactique qui intègre les quatre piliers de l’apprentissage (attention, engagement actif, retour immédiat, consolidation) en tenant compte des quatre filtres de l’attention (plaisir, inférence, mouvement et imaginaire) avec un travail sur la dimension psychosociale par le biais de certains exercices de l’outil Go-NoGo® adapté par Fahim (2020). Dans un deuxième temps, en fonction des expériences vécues et après les aménagements qui s’imposent, de construire un canevas d’élaboration de cours afin de garantir un minimum de reproductibilité et de transversalité. Les résultats préliminaires montrent que les jeunes apprenants (âgés entre 17-25) ont beaucoup apprécié l’approche neuropédagogique. Par le biais de ce projet, j’ai aussi développé l’envie de travailler plus en profondeur sur les fonctions exécutives. L’inhibition pose problème à certains jeunes qui préfèrent rester en mode heuristique et ses automatiques car ils ont encore trop souvent peur de l’échec. La flexibilité cognitive avec la capacité de « jongler » entre les tâches reste un point à travailler car elle se révèle précieuse lors de leur stage. Et la métacognition reste une fonction essentielle afin d’évoluer dans la vie de manière réflexive J’ai apprécié l’attitude des jeunes face à mes requêtes qui pouvaient dans certains cas les déstabiliser comme le remplissage de la grille d’auto-observation sur les émotions et le stress. Les échanges avec eux durant le projet m’ont fait prendre conscience de l’importance de la guidance et de la prise en considération de la théorie d’autodétermination. La gestion de conflits a été une belle expérience car il y a un pour certains un réel déclic et je suis curieux de les entendre à ce sujet dans le futur. Abstract The GOQUAPI project initially implements a didactic construction that integrates the four pillars of learning (attention, active engagement, immediate feedback, consolidation) taking into account the four filters of attention (pleasure, inference, movement and imagination) with work on the psychosocial dimension through certain exercises from the Go-NoGo® tool adapted by Fahim (2020). In a second step, depending on the experiences and after the necessary adjustments, to build a course development framework in order to guarantee a minimum of reproducibility and transversality. Preliminary results show that young learners (age 17-25) greatly appreciated the neuropedagogical approach. Through this project, I also developed the desire to work more in depth on executive functions. Inhibition is a problem for some learners who prefer to stay in heuristic mode and its automatics because they are still too often afraid of failure. Cognitive flexibility with the ability to "juggle" between tasks remains a point to work on because it proves to be invaluable during their internship. And metacognition remains an essential function in order to evolve in life in a reflective way I appreciated their attitude towards my requests which could in certain cases destabilize them, such as filling in the self-observation grid on emotions and stress. The exchanges with them during the project made me realize the importance of guidance and taking into account the theory of self-determination. Différentes théories ont été appliquées à l'interface de l'entrepreneuriat et de la recherche sur les entreprises familiales pour explorer les comportements entrepreneuriaux des familles. Le projet STEP, en particulier, associe la recherche sur l’entrepreneuriat et les entreprises familiales afin d’enquêter sur les déterminants de la réussite du transfert de l’esprit entrepreneurial entre générations. Dans cette perspective, l’entrepreneuriat transgénérationnel fait référence à l’entrepreneuriat familial durable qui génère un flux systématique de richesses sociales et économiques influencées par la famille sur plusieurs générations. L'objectif de cette recherche est de mieux comprendre l'entrepreneuriat perpétuel dans les entreprises familiales en Tunisie. Nous avons suivi une méthodologie mixte : qualitative et quantitative à travers la collecte des données auprès des entreprises familiales. Les résultats de nos travaux ont conduit à une compréhension importante des interactions entre la famille et l'entreprise familiale, ainsi qu'à de nouvelles connaissances sur la survie et la disparition des entreprises. Par conséquent, nous avançons dans la théorie et la pratique de l'entrepreneuriat en évaluant les fondements de la construction d'un modèle d’affaires dans le contexte de l'entreprise familiale, accélérant ainsi des perspectives théoriques plus fortes de l’entrepreneuriat transgénérationnel
Different theories have been applied at the interface of entrepreneurship and family business research to explore the entrepreneurial behaviors of families. The STEP project, in particular, has related entrepreneurship and family business research to investigate and realize the determinants of successful transfers of entrepreneurial spirit across generations. Within this perspective, Transgenerational entrepreneurship refers to sustained family-based entrepreneurship that generates a systematic stream of family-influenced social and economic wealth across many generations. The aim of this research is to have a better comprehension of continuous entrepreneurship in family firms in Tunisia. We followed a mixed methodology : qualitative and quantitative through the data collection from family firms. The results of our work has led to important understandings about interactions of the family and family firm, new insights into survival and demise of firms.Accordingly, we go forward entrepreneurship theory and practice by assessing the fundamentals of business model construction within the family business context, thus expediting stronger theoretical perspectives of transgenerational entrepreneurship

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The logical scheduling of activities in an engineering project currently relies heavily on the experience and intuition of the persons responsible for the schedule. In large projects the complexity of the schedule far exceeds the capacity of human intuition, and systematic techniques are required to compute a consistent sequence of activities. In this study a simple model of the engineering process is described. Based on certain specified relationships between components of the model, a consistent sequence of activities is determined in the form of a logical step schedule. The problem of resource constraints receives special attention. Engineering projects are often executed with limited resources and determining the impact of such restrictions on the logical step schedule is important. This study investigates activityshifting strategies to find a near-optimal sequence of activities that guarantees consistent evolution of deliverables while resolving resource conflicts within the context of logical step schedules.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Die logiese skedulering van aktiwiteite in ‘n ingenieursprojek steun swaar op die ondervinding en intuisie van die persone wat verantwoordelik is vir die skedule. In groot projekte is die kompleksiteit van die skedule veel hoër as die kapasiteit van die menslike intuisie, en sistematiese tegnieke word benodig om ‘n konsekwente volgorde van aktiwiteite te bereken. In hierdie studie word ‘n eenvoudige model van die ingenieursproses beskryf. Gebasseer op sommige relasies tussen komponente van die model, kan ‘n konsekwente volgorde van aktiwiteite bepaal word in die vorm van ‘n logiese stap-skedule. Die probleem van beperkte hulpbronne ontvang spesiale aandag. Ingenieursprojekte word dikwels uitgevoer met beperkte hulpbronne en dit is belangrik om die impak daarvan op die logiese stap-skedule te bepaal. Die studie ondersoek die gebruik van aktiwiteit-skuiwende strategieë om ‘n nabyoptimale volgorde van aktiwiteite te vind wat konsekwente ontwikkeling van die projekprodukte waarborg, terwyl hulpbron konflikte opgelos word binne die konteks van ‘n logiese stap-skedule.

Its proper regulation determines its course, the prevention and management of possible consequences. Therefore, it is important to know this legal concept that has scarcely been studied in the doctrine. In this article, the author develops legal treatment of this legal concept, its definition, main terms and regulation in the Peruvian legal system.

Por ello, es importante conocer esta figura jurídica que ha sido poco estudiada en la doctrina. En el presente artículo, el autor desarrolla el tratamiento legal de esta figura jurídica, su definición, sus principales términos y su regulación en el ordenamiento jurídico peruano.

The first part of the thesis introduces basic concepts occurring throughout whole thesis for a clear understanding of the purpose of the practical work and its processing. The second part describes the Microsoft Dynamics platform as a variety of business software tools suitable for departmental development of leasing solution. This platform includes project management methodology suitable for the business software tools. The third part contains a design of an application software covering general leasing process. The fourth part describes the design of a specific implementation of a leasing application software system defined in previous part of thesis into medium-sized leasing company.

Atualmente a oca dessas informações é feita usando a linguagem da Norma 1S06983, conhecida como ódigo-G/M. Isto significa que partes das informações geradas no ciclo de Desenvolvimento, notadamente a geometria do produto e dados de ferramentas, são perdidas ao se gerar o programa em codigo G/M Para a prova de conceito da funcionalidade desse novo padrão no controle e acionamento direto de maqumas ferramenta CNC foram projetados construidos software, hardware e uma estrutura mecânica simples de uma fresadora/¬:radeira CNC. A arquitetura de software e hardware é aberta e aderente à STEP-NC. sistema desenvolvido faz uso de arquivos ISO14649 para programação da maquina sem o de linguagens legadas Isto permitiu a validação do uso da norma no acionamento de quinas CNC, provando a flexibilidade e eficacia para a troca de informações e controle maquinas-ferramenta.

<p>In recent years, an increasing number of private firms are involved in public works using the funding strategy of public-private partnerships (PPPs), especially for civil infrastructure projects such as highways and bridges. In this paper, a framework is proposed to quantify the potential benefits of condition assessment in the operation phase. The updated safety condition of highway bridges is introduced as a constraint of the profit optimization problem. The framework includes the following three steps. First, structural identification is carried out to identify parameter values of the bridge involved in the highway project. Then the reserve capacity under the relevant limit state is calculated based on the requirements of bridge design codes. The last step is to investigate the effects of reserve capacity on the optimal operating profit. This framework is applied to a highway flyover project in Singapore. The optimal operating profit based on quantified reserve capacity increases relative to the case without information of reserve capacity. This significant potential economic benefit associated with bridge condition assessment in the operation phase of toll highways.</p>

Abstract Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) needs to evaluate project economics on 100+ further development projects for its existing, very complex production system. BSP uses a fast network-solver integrated asset model (IAM) of the entire system (900+ wells) to evaluate the effects of facility and pipeline constraints. In order to avoid time-consuming and error-prone spreadsheet-based post-processing, it was decided to extend the IAM software to include the calculation of the incremental sales profiles required for proper project economics. There were three steps in constructing the project incremental sales calculations. The first step was calculation of physical sales profiles i.e. flows to the various sales points (export, domestic power generations) after removal of fuel and flare. The second step was defining a suitable sequence of forecasts, each adding a tranche of projects to the previous forecast. The difference in sales between a forecast and its predecessor is then the incremental sales profile for the tranche of projects new to the forecast. The final step (required because having one forecast per project would have given excessively long calculation times) is to share out the incremental sales profile amongst all the projects in the tranche. This final step required many attempts before a suitable algorithm was found. The incremental sales profile rates were initially shared out in proportion to well-head rates. However, this gave some anomalous results. If a project required a major shut-down, then the resultant large negative rates could be assigned to a small project already in production. Consequently, one project could have an incremental sales ultimate recovery (UR) much lower than its well-head UR, while another project within the same tranche had nearly equal incremental sales and well-head URs. This problem is avoided if, instead of sharing out incremental sales rates in proportion to well-head rates, incremental sales cumulatives are shared out in proportion to well-head cumulatives. This algorithm has now been successfully in use for more than a year within BSP and other operators. This algorithm makes it possible to calculate incremental sales profiles in a systematic and automatic way, without the need for any manual adjustments. This is one of the key steps (together with a fast network-solver) in making it possible for a shared integrated asset model to be used as a general-purpose forecasting system for a wide range of business processes, such as business planning, development planning, reserves, and operational planning.

Data generating project work in middle school is a successful component of statistics training at this level. CensusAtSchool, GAISE, CAUSE projects and Statistics New Zealand SURFs also provide data for investigation in middle school and beyond. To motivate students further, real data from current research should be used in the classroom to help take statistics training to the next level. Such data are described. Eleven research projects are presented in DVDs with matching data provided on CDs. Context is outlined, study design and data collection are discussed, and proposals are made for analyses to answer questions. The DVDs, developed for use in 2009, feature illustrated researcher talks. The DVDs and CDs are also available for viewing on the web. A range of studies are described along with tasks to be carried out. Feedback from school teachers and students on relevance of this resource will be discussed.

There is a broad consensus that agri-food systems need to be transformed to address the mounting global challenges including food and nutrition security, environmental degradation, and socioeconomic inequities. However, agreement is lacking on what is needed to drive this transformation. This report builds on a sustainability analysis of different proposed pathways and approaches to address transformative needs. It also serves as a study of the drivers and agents that support the implementation of these proposed pathways in different cases around the globe. We recommend the adoption of a multi-level governance framework to coordinate the transformation of agri-food systems, guaranteeing the attainment of transformation goals across all levels. This includes global agreements and international goals at the international level, national transformation pathways at the country level, and the operational level embedded in local governance. This report introduces the Agri-food Systems Transformation Protocol as a decision-support protocol at the desired operational level serving different actors within agri-food systems. The Agri-food Systems Transformation Protocol proposes a four-stage and nine-step iterative process that can guide the development of transformation pathways in different contexts and at different levels of implementation. It was conceived during a workshop of the Expert Advisory Group of the Assessment and Communication of Climate Impacts of Food (CLIF) project in June 2023. The aim was to develop a step-by-step guide to transforming food systems that is not prescriptive and follows a rights-based, place-based, systems approach. The protocol was informed by background research on different case studies from the agri-food sector and advances the three principles of preserving the rights of people, ecosystem integrity, and integrity of the process. The background study identified the main drivers and agents of transformation by analysing 14 case studies from five continents, a selection that was finalized at the expert workshop. A transformation matrix that maps the agents and drivers with different steps of transformation process is also presented to aid the implementation of the protocol. This protocol is intended to be the first step in developing a transformative theory of change for agri-food systems, with the methodologies for each step being the subject of further development.
