Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of this research is to demonstrate that the application of internal control processes has a significant impact on profitability in the financial statements of medium-sized companies in the metal products manufacturing sector in Villa el Salvador, as of 2019. For the development of this research work, a mixed methodology was carried out, that is, qualitative and quantitative research. For the quantitative research, the survey was used as a procedure to collect information from 20 medium-sized companies located in the Villa El Salvador district. Likewise, for the qualitative research, 3 interviews were conducted with companies that have more than 20 years in the sector and 3 interviews with auditors who have experience in the field of metal-mechanical manufacturing. On the other hand, an application case was carried out where it is evaluated whether the internal control process has a significant impact on the profitability in the financial statements of the medium-sized companies in the metal products manufacturing sector in Villa El Salvador. The results obtained from the investigation show that there is only a significant impact when implementing internal controls on profitability in the financial statements of medium-sized companies in the metal products manufacturing sector in Villa El Salvador. Finally, based on the field work and the analyzed results, it is concluded that for the companies in the sector under study, it does not have a significant impact to apply control processes to increase their profitability.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn the construction sector, there has been an increase on the use of industrialized building systems, including steel construction systems, due to the contribution of those systems in terms of reducing the duration of projects, and reduction of waste. This change has created opportunities for the application of production management concepts and methods that have been originated in other industries, such as the Lean Production Philosophy, which has brought several benefits for the construction sector, such as waste reduction, increase in productivity and reliability in delivery time. However, there have been only a few research studies on the application of Lean Production concepts on the production planning and control process of companies involved in the delivery of steel construction systems. The aim of this research work is to propose guidelines for the conception and implementation of production planning and control systems for projects delivered by companies that design, manufacture and assemble steel construction systems. Moreover, some adaptations in the Last Planner Systems are proposed for the context of assembling this type of system. Action research was the research strategy adopted in this investigation, which involved the development of five empirical studies in projects carried out by a Brazilian leading company. This investigation started by carrying out an analysis of the material and information flows among the main departments of the company, as well as by assessing the existing planning and control process for site assembly. Then, a set of improvements in that process were devised and implemented in three construction sites of the company. The main results of this research work are concerned with extending the scope of production system design, adapting the medium and short-term planning levels of the Last Planner System to this context, and integrating the planning and control process for site assembly with upstream processes. Moreover, different types of planning and control systems were proposed for different types of projects, according to their complexity and size.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleO principal objectivo deste trabalho é estudar a viabilidade do revestimento de partículas de carboneto de tungsténio (WC), como etapa alternativa à mistura convencional de componentes. Para tal, revestiram-se pós de WC com aço inoxidável 304 (AISI), por uma técnica de deposição física em fase de vapor, denominada pulverização catódica. O outro objectivo deste trabalho incide na investigação das potencialidades das ligas de Fe/Cr/Ni como ligantes nos compósitos à base de WC. Para estudar a viabilidade da técnica de deposição como alternativa à mistura de componentes, depositaram-se quantidades variáveis de aço inoxidável (entre 1 e 10%) nas partículas de pó de WC. Alternativamente, e para efeitos de comparação, prepararam-se composições similares por mistura convencional. Os resultados da caracterização de pós revestidos foram motivadores, uma vez que indicaram que as partículas de WC possuíam revestimentos nanocristalinos bastante uniformes e que todos os elementos constituintes do aço foram depositados nas proporções existentes no alvo. Estes pós apresentam ainda boa escoabilidade e prensabilidade, uma resistência à oxidação acrescida e elevada estabilidade em soluções aquosas a pH ácido e neutro. A investigação do aço inoxidável como ligante de sinterização mostrou que os elementos constituintes do aço são eficazes na promoção da densificação dos compactos à base de WC. Os pós revestidos apresentaram uma sinterabilidade e reactividade superiores às das misturas convencionais. Atingiram-se valores superiores de densificação nos pós revestidos, sobretudo com as perdas de peso controladas através do ciclo térmico ou atmosfera de sinterização. A cinética de formação de fases, designadamente de M6C, é mais rápida nestes pós, mas a quantidade formada pode ser reduzida ou mesmo eliminada, aumentando o teor de níquel no ligante e com pequenas adições de carbono. Os resultados da caracterização mecânica de compósitos preparados com os pós revestidos evidenciaram um bom compromisso entre a tenacidade e dureza, superior ao observado em amostras preparadas convencionalmente. Por outro lado, os ligantes à base de aço inoxidável mostraram uma relação de tenacidade versus dureza superior à existente em dados publicados para compósitos de Co. A presença de M6C aumentou a dureza dos compósitos, sem degradar a sua tenacidade, enquanto que o aumento do teor de níquel reduziu substancialmente a dureza do material.
The main objective of this work is to study the feasibility of the tungsten carbide (WC) particle covering as an alternative to the conventional mixture of components. For such purpose, WC powders were coated with stainless steel 304 (AISI) by a physical vapour deposition technique, called sputtering. The other objective of this work is to study the potentiality of Fe/Cr/Ni alloys as binders in WC based composites. To study the viability of the deposition technique as an alternative to the mixture process, different amounts of stainless steel (between 1 and 10 wt.%) were deposited on WC powder particles. Alternatively, similar compositions have been prepared by conventional mixture, for comparison. The results of the characterization of coated powders are very promising, since they indicated that the WC particles have very uniform nanocrystalline coatings and that all the elements were deposited in the same proportions of the target. These powders present good flowability and prensability, an increased oxidation resistance and high stability in aqueous solutions, at acid and neutral pH values. The study of the stainless steel as a sintering binder demonstrated that the steel constituent elements are efficient in the promotion of densification of the WC based composites. Coated powders present higher reactivity and sinterability than conventional mixtures, especially when weight losses are controlled through the thermal cycle or sintering atmosphere. The kinetic of phase formation, namely M6C, is faster in these powders, but the amount formed can be reduced, or eliminated, by increasing the Ni amount in the binder and by small carbon additions. The results of the mechanical characterization of composites prepared with coated powders evidenced a good compromise between hardness and toughness, higher than the one observed in conventionally prepared composites. On the other hand, the composites with stainless steel based binders show superior values of toughness versus hardness than the ones reported in literature for composites with cobalt. The presence of M6C increases the composites hardness, without degrading its toughness, while the increase of Ni substantially reduces the hardness of the material.

Der volle Inhalt der QuellePalladium nanoparticles dispersed on supports have been widely studied over the past years due to their properties for particular applications in sensors and catalysts. In the catalysis field these supported nanoparticles are widely used in various industrial processes of economic importance, with paritcula interest in processes of hydrogenation and dehydrogenation, allowing an increase in the value of compounds from oil-chemical industry. The objective was the experimental study of the synthesis conditions of metallic nanoparticles of palladium supported on silica. Catalysts were synthesized by traditional methods of impregnation, as well as methods using reducing agents and stabilizers for metal nanoparticles. In the synthesis, different conditions were used in the catalysts prepare, by varying the concentrations of metal precursor (palladium nitrate), reducing agent (gallic acid) and stabilizer (polyvinylpyrrolidone), enabling a better understanding of how these conditions affect the dispersion of the metal catalyst, since the size and nature of the interaction of a particle with a metal oxide support are critical in determining the catalytic activity and selectivity. It were obtained nanoparticles with sizes ranging from 3.28 to 16.92 nm, synthesized by different methods, the dispersion of the catalyst where it was used reducing agent and stabilizing agent were, in most cases, similar to those obtained by the traditional method of impregnation, probably due to the high temperatures used in calcination to remove the reducing and stabilizing agent. Finally, the result that became apparent is that the gallic acid itself acts as a reducing agent and protective agent of the nanoparticles, what can facilitate the steps of calcination, since it is not necessary the presence of a protective agent such as PVP polymer, whose thermal degradation is more difficult. On the other hand, in the synthesis of catalysts, the presence of PVP apparently has a little contribution in the dispersion of palladium nanoparticles. More efforts must be devoted to the controlled synthesis of nanoparticles of the metal palladium to be more versatile to promote or catalyze reactions or active components in the manufacture of nanoscale devices.
Nanopartículas de paládio dispersas em suportes têm sido amplamente estudadas ao longo dos últimos anos, devido às suas propriedades que permitem aplicações principalmente em sensores e catalisadores. Na área da catálise estas nanopartículas suportadas são extensamente empregadas em vários processos industriais de importância econômica, onde se destaca os processos de hidrogenação e desidrogenação permitindo agregar valor aos compostos provenientes da indústria óleo-química. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar experimentalmente as condições de síntese de nanopartículas metálicas de paládio suportadas em sílica. Foram sintetizados catalisadores através de métodos tradicionais de impregnação, bem como métodos que utilizam agentes redutores e estabilizantes de nanopartículas metálicas. Nas sínteses, foram utilizadas diferentes condições de preparo, variando-se as concentrações de precursor metálico (nitrato de paládio), do agente redutor (ácido gálico) e do agente estabilizante (polivinilpirrolidona). Com isto, foi possível obter uma melhor compreensão da influencia destas variáveis sobre a dispersão metálica do catalisador, uma que o tamanho e a natureza da interação de uma partícula metálica com um suporte óxido são fundamentais para determinar a atividade e seletividade catalítica. Foram obtidas nanopartículas com tamanhos entre 3,28 a 16,92 nm, sintetizadas pelos diferentes métodos, as dispersões dos catalisadores onde foi utilizado agente redutor e agente estabilizante foram, na grande maioria, similares às obtidas pelo método tradicional de impregnação, provavelmente devido às altas temperaturas empregas na calcinação para remover os agentes redutores e estabilizantes. Por fim, ficou aparente o resultado de que o ácido gálico por si só age como agente redutor e agente protetor das nanopartículas, o que pode facilitar as etapas de calcinação, já que não é necessária a presença de um agente protetor polimérico como o PVP, cuja degradação térmica é mais difícil. Por outro lado, na síntese dos catalisadores, a presença do PVP aparentemente pouco contribuiu para uma melhor dispersão das nanopartículas de paládio.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this work is to apply the Lean Construction plan, based on Toyota Production System, as the main strategy for the steel structure assembly in a commercial building. The Lean System target is to increase the productivity in the construction process by considering the synchronism between the logistic activities and the steel structural erection. This synchronism can be obtained by following the Lean Logic of reducing the time delay, the elimination of inventory in the building site and the organization of simultaneous teams for the assemblage of the steel parts. The material flow and the sequence of activities are represented in a value stream map, in order to identify the time wasted during the process and trying to otimize sequence of operation. At the end, by analyzing a particular project of a building at the center of Rio de Janeiro, the critical problems involved in a steel construction were identified and some alternative solutions for these problems, based on Lean System, are proposed.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleO plástico é considerado a matéria prima mais utilizada no mundo moderno, sua reciclagem é de vital importância para a sociedade e ambiente, contudo esta atividade gera um efluente líquido, com alta carga orgânica, a qual deve ser corretamente tratada. Os métodos tradicionais de tratamento físico-químico, via floculação comumente utilizam coagulantes a base de alumínio ou ferro, porém o lodo gerado nesse processo acaba por conter metais pesados, podendo resultar num lodo impróprio para outro fim a não ser a destinação para aterros industriais. Neste trabalho foi desenvolvido um tratamento ambientalmente adequado de efluente de uma indústria de reciclagem de resíduo plástico de polietileno, utilizando tanino vegetal como agente floculante. Obteve-se reduções na DQO de 78,4%, e de alguns metais pesados acima de 90%. Com o lodo resultante foi feita a compostagem com emprego de leiras cônicas utilizando campo nativo e casca de arroz como substratos vegetais resultando em um composto que pode ser utilizado como adubo orgânico. O emprego de taninos vegetais mostrou-se perfeitamente adequado em frente aos coagulantes metálicos tradicionais, com a vantagem de seu lodo poder servir de insumo para compostagem gerando adubo orgânico passível de aplicação agrícola.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe brand is an integrated system of actions that involve the commitment from the planning, delivery phase and all the maintenance of the material attributes and image of the business of a company. In this sense, the dissertation aims to elaborate a plan of insertion of the brand of a company of the branch of metallic structures in the southern region of Brazil. Through a qualitative and quantitative research and exploratory and descriptive type, in which 46 clients were randomly selected during the period from august to october 2014, as well as with 12 companies competing in the field of metallic structures. The data collection instrument wasperformed through questionnaires with closed questions and a data analysis plan was used to classify the data, through a tabulation process, represented through tables and graphs, according to the information obtained and better form of visualization. The data collected were grouped and performed textual and graphic interpretation through Excel spreadsheets, for the year 2014. As a result, the target audience and the positioning of the company under study could be defined, such as customers who needed specific metallic structures for the purchase, varieties of steel equipment for buildings, affordable prices, delivery of products on time and Budgets. In addition, it can be observed that the customers were satisfied with the products of said company, with respect to the price and quality thereof. As for the employees, they performed satisfactorily with the company's distribution channel and image. The research highlights the forces with the highest percentage: affordable prices, good service and support and postpurchase support; As for the weaknesses, with higher index was obtained the high competition and losses of good professionals for the competitors. Regarding the positioning of competing companies in the field of metal structures were well defined, as they have as suppliers of raw material companies with well-known brands, with affordable prices and quality material, with similar strengths and weaknesses with the company under study, and Has as attributes the prices according to each project, but accessible, as well as, the delivery of the products in the determined term. It was possible to develop such a plan of insertion of the brand in the company in question, where it shows that it can use and contribute to maintain, care, and mainly manage in a professional way its brand, through the suggested strategies it is believed that such a goal will contribute for insertion making it strong and selling.
