The first chapter presents the theoretical background necessary to understand the concepts related to this topic in the field of information technology and information systems. The second chapter of this diploma thesis is focused on the company UNIKOM a.s. and analysis of its internal and external factors and assessment of the information system using selected methods. The output of the second chapter is information about problematic parts of the company and the IS. The aim of this diploma thesis is to carry out external and internal analysis of the firm according to selected analytic methods mentioned below. The fractional aim of this thesis is to find out what the preferences of customers are like in present times, when, in order with the needs of the firm, and concurrently with respect to the main aim of this diploma thesis, the research question was defined. On the basis of results of the questionnaire survey, I am able to answer this question. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical-methodological part and application part. The theoretical-methodological part is dedicated to the basic concepts of strategic management, and it also represents characteristics of selected methods of strategic analysis and questionnaire survey. In the application part, there are applied theoretical findings, and there is also represented the analysis of external and internal surrounding of the firm. From the analyzes of external surrounding, there were used PEST, the method 4C, analysis of the sector and competitive environment, questionnaire survey and value curve. In order to research the internal environment of the firm, there was used the analysis of internal sources. Results of particular analyzes were summarized in the SWOT analysis, which serves as a background for particular strategic recommendations of the firm. On the basis of the results of the questionnaire survey and value curve, there was established recommendation what direction the optics should take, and how the company should improve the sales of products and services. Other applied methods were the interview and the analysis of documents. Further off, there were applied mathematic-statistic methods, most of all absolute and relative frequency, cross analyzes, median. All collected information and results of the survey were used for processing of the theme of this diploma thesis. I do not have many comments after evaluation of results of the survey and SWOT analysis. But I would still suggest several minor adjustments or changes. Particular recommendation and suggestion of possible changes may contribute to the successful achievement of targets established by the firm, so it would be possible to keep steady clientele, which could be eventually extended. Outputs of the analysis and final recommendation are fully applicable during decision-making carried by the optics management.

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of process management. The goal of the thesis is to identify the processes in given firm using the graphic process map. Process mapping is performed through several methods -participation in mapping processes, observation and one-to-one interviews. The practical part of the thesis contains situation analysis. PEST analysis is used to describe the macro environment, defining the political, economical, social and technological environment in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse visitation of the zoological garden in Brno and to make recommendations which could result in higher values of visitation. The major causes of the fluctuation in visitation are found out and the econometric model is created. Due to this model, we can predict the future values of the reference indicator. In order to determine the interdependence between Zoo Brno attendance and the number of guests accommodated in the South Moravian Region, the econometrics model of South Moravia Region visitation was created too. Based on the analysis of external and internal environment, recommendations which could positively influence Zoo Brno attractiveness and number of its visitors are suggested. All used methods of analysis and creating model are presented in the theoretical part of this diploma thesis.

This work is primarily focused on using Competitive Intelligence (CI) in practice. Its purpose is primarily to use methods CI in a small family business to increase its competitiveness. For this purpose, the work used methods to analyze the information obtained, especially Porter's five forces model and SWOT analysis. These two methods allow analyze the business environment, evaluate its current position and define the competition. In order to increase the competitiveness, the work also analyzed the company website and their competitors, according to predefined criteria, mainly based on generally accepted WCAG 2.0. The contribution of this work in general is a practical demonstration of the possibility of using techniques CI in a small family business. In concrete terms it is mainly the evaluation of individual analyzes carried out, their conclusions and recommendations drawn from it and the "Draft strategy for increasing the competitiveness of businesses." This with the aim to improve the company's market position, enhance its competitiveness and improve its strategic planning. Due to the fact that CI is a theory today already quite well known and described in detail in many scientific studies and articles, in this work is described and defined only very briefly in the second chapter. The main part is devoted to collecting and analyzing information on the industry and competitors and their subsequent evaluation and making recommendations. The penultimate chapter is devoted to design a strategy to increase competitiveness.

The aim of this thesis is to undertake a comprehensive analysis of the company. In thesis is used in the analysis PEST Porter’s five forces model, SWOT analysis and fundamental analysis. Based on this analysis were identified shortcomings and proposed improvements. The main problems arising from the resulting analysis is a high percentage of the cost of goods sold, poor payment behavior of customers, through which the company is forced to proceed to bank loans and. It is therefore necessary to eliminate these problems that the company achieves higher margins and higher profit.

Presented diploma thesis deals with the strategic development of the company VKS Pohledští Dvořáci a.s. The thesis contains a list of current activities of the company and suggests opportunities for further development. To reach this objective various internal and external analysis are used, namely PEST analysis, Porter's five forces model, the Value chain and SWOT analysis. To explore the possibilities for future development of the company, two growth strategies are applied -- Porter's Generic Strategies and Ansoff Growth Matrix. There was a survey done which purpose was to monitor customer satisfaction with the products and services provided by the company and to suggest improvements in the company marketing. The conclusion summarizes the most important findings and proposes recommendations on the future expansion of the company.

In this Master's Thesis I am solving two seemingly not related issues -- the title of the thesis is to propose the change of the SME approach to the cooperation with partners and the target of the thesis is to recommend to the company changes in business and management behaviour which will help to break through the tenders of the large size companies. To meet the target of the Master's Thesis there was analysed current situation of the particular enterprise which does not cooperate with large companies. There were used Five-Forces Model, PEST analyse and SWOT analyse to describe this enterprise. Based on the analyses' results there were discovered main deficiencies which are connected with the character and behaviour of the owners. The basic deficiencies are missing planning and undisciplined behaviour of the owners to their firm and missing Quality management certification. If the company eliminates them, it has better chance to be successful in the tenders of the large companies. Cooperation, partnership or another company connection, these are also the opportunities how to become the supplier of the big company. Czech SME trading with electronical components are not willing to cooperate with other companies. In this Master's Thesis I gave the reasons, why the companies should have positive approach to cooperation.

Subsequently, factors that influence the market the most were defined. Consumers of feminine hygiene were divided into five segments based on socio-demographic and behavioral characteristics. These segments are internally homogeneous and heterogeneous enough to each other so it it is possible work with them individually within the marketing strategy.
