Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe research work conducted in this thesis are within the framework of the realization of the integrated solar cell technology (i-Cell), which is an innovative solar cell technology with a high conversion efficiency and a low cost production. The i-Cell consists of the realization of several elementary cells or sub-cells, in purified crystalline silicon thin foils, which are connected in series on a low cost sintered silicon substrate. In fact, the i-Cell technology allows the reduction of the cost of the wafer thanks to the low thickness of the silicon foils and through the use of substrates obtained from the sintering silicon powders. In such a structure, the photovoltaic function is provided by the thin purified Si foil on the surface. Whereas both the current transport and the mechanical function are provided by the sintered silicon substrate – thin allows to reduce the cell manufacturing costs. In fact, just like thin films, we can decompose the active layer in small cell surfaces and thus produce, on a standard surface (156 x 156 mm²), a low current cell that greatly reduces the consumption of precious metals within the cell (Silver) and between the cells within the module (Copper). Furthermore, the configuration of cells in the i-Cell technology permits to eliminate the use of Silver busbars traditionally used in the Si solar cell technologies. This offers the advantage of avoiding the masking light and thus increases the power of the i-Cell. This thesis work focuses on two main axes of research: The first axis relates to the study of the kinetics of thermal oxidation of porous sintered silicon substrates. The second axis of research focuses on the realization of the “integrated sintered substrates”, which consists of the realization of local conductive zones on the insulating porous sintered substrate, and the fabrication of the first i-Cells prototypes on them. This work demonstrated the feasibility of i-Cell and produced prototypes of i-Cell on the integrated sintered substrate. High photovoltaic conversion efficiencies, greater than 18%, were obtained
Truyen, Dimitri. „Elaboration par voie sol-gel de revêtements catalytiques sur substrat métallique“. Toulouse 3, 2007. http://thesesups.ups-tlse.fr/615/.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of the study was to elaborate metallic supported catalysts by sol-gel route stable at high temperature (< 700°C). Both oxydes TiO2 and Zr0. 5Ce0. 5O2 have been studied. The study was mainly to synthesize an oxyde used as support and having a high surface and a high porosity. From stable colloïdal sols, we pointed out the interest to perform nanometric particles and to stabilize TiO2 anatase phase in order to keep small size cristallized domains. The influence of a polymer has been shown to decrease the sintering phenomenon and so to increase the porosity of the oxyde. Interactions between particles in sols are of great importance because they involve particular stacking of the particles during gelification and after calcination. The interactions between particles are different according to the ionic strength and pH of the medium. In order to decrease the sintering phenomenon, alumina nanoparticles have been added and used as steric barriers between ceria-zirconia particles. We defined several systems of interactions to elaborate a porous stacking with a high surface area. Particles size and porosity analysis have been performed to suggest stacking models. Several catalysts have been prepared using Rh, Ru, Pt according to different formulations in order to obtain adherent catalytic films deposited onto stainless steel substrate. Then, catalysts have been tested for complete CO oxidation reaction and best results have been measured for Zr0. 5Ce0. 5O2 - Pt deposited catalyst

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe work of this thesis focuses on the realization of SERS substrates (Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering) for the detection of chemical and biological species. This is to implement the methodologies using as the starting surface of a porous silicon layer and a surface Plasmon effect induced by the presence of a noble metal in general. The specificities of the porous layers which are firstly a nanometer roughness and secondly a porosity and therefore an inner surface have a direct impact on the target molecule detection sensitivity. We have developed in this PhD thesis different substrates development methodologies SERS-based on porous silicon layers. We considered two ways, the first is based on the use of gold nanoparticles in colloidal solution. The second route, more original, uses the deposition of gold by sputtering on a porous layer prepared on the rough side of a silicon wafer. Interesting SERS results regarding the detection of chemical (Rhodamine 6G) and biological (Bovin Serum Albumin) molecules, have been described and explained for considering various solutions to optimize them

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe primary objective of this project is the implementation of microelectronics/microtechnology processes compatible with the use of paper-based substrate. For this purpose, techniques such as thermal vacuum evaporation, photolithography, electroplating and anodizing aluminum have been developed and adapted to this substrate. Structural, electrical and flexible characterizations benches have also been implemented to study the reliability of the layers deposited on such substrate. A moisture sensor based on flexible aluminum oxide was made and humidity tests have shown excellent results which validate the work

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCurrent concerns for environmental protection and public health focus on air quality in industries, cities and households. Nowadays, paper-based gas sensors are of increasing interest due to their low cost, biodegradability, flexibility and applications in e-textiles, e-dressings and e-packaging.Graphene oxide is a derivative of graphene with exceptional electrical, mechanical and thermal properties. Graphène oxide is a promising material for the development of low-cost room temperature gas sensors. In this context, this thesis aims to integrate a graphene oxide sensing layer inside a porous paper substrate for humidity and ammonia detection. The first part of this work focuses on the fabrication, functionalization and optimization of capacitive porous gas sensors on paper. A new local reduction process of graphene oxide into electrodes is introduced. The process is hot-plating, a low cost technique compatible with large scale productionThe second part of this work studies the humidity and ammonia sensing capabilities of the sensors. Graphene oxide on paper exhibits a high sensitivity towards ammonia, with humidity as an interfering gas. The local reduction of graphène oxide into electrodes, and its functionalization with zinc oxide increased the sensitivity and selectivity of the device towards humidity. The fabricated sensors exhibit a good repeatability, reproducibility and flexibility
