This paper describes a not-for-profit healthcare providers strategy to provide its economically disadvantaged patients with access to low cost pharmaceuticals. Initially, an in-house pharmacy was established, supported by a satellite distribution system using a telepharmacy solution to extend medications to its patients at remote sites. New federal legislation which provided access to low cost insurance through Medicare Part D to many of the providers disadvantaged patients, along with state licensing requirements forced the healthcare provider to reassess the economics of its pharmaceutical distribution system and seek other alternatives. Among the alternatives the healthcare provider considered was partnering with for-profit pharmaceutical companies in order to reach their patients.

Background: Pharmaceutical services are direct and responsible services to patients with the aim of improving the patient's quality of life. Satisfaction is a feeling of pleasure or disappointment that arises after comparing product performance with expected performance. Satisfaction and service are two things that cannot be separated, with the satisfaction of related parties, they can correct each other how far the improvement in the services that have been provided. Measurement of satisfaction uses five dimensions of service quality, namely tangible evidence (Tangible), responsiveness (responsiveness), assurance (assurance), empathy (Emphaty) and reliability (Reliability). Objective: This study was to describe the level of patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services in the outpatient pharmacy room at Puskesmas Mandiraja 1. Methods: The type of research was descriptive using a cross sectional approach with the sampling technique of accidental sampling and data collection using questionnaires. Results: Based on the results of calculations on each research indicator the level of patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services in the outpatient pharmacy room at Mandiraja 1 Health Center is generally categorized as satisfied with the percentage of 75%. The real evidence dimension is 74.15%, the responsiveness dimension is 75.01 %, assurance dimension of 77.44%, the empathy dimension is 75.15% and reliability dimension of 71.07%. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, the level of patient satisfaction with pharmaceutial services in the outpatient pharmacy room at Puskesmas Mandiraja 1 was in the satisfed category

The aim of the review is to provide an analysis and generalization of the main directions of research in the sphere of pharmaceutical services, and their characteristics associated with the determination of their main development trends.Materials and methods. For the analysis, the information store on the basis of scientific publications by Russian and foreign scientists, devoted to research in the field of pharmaceutical services (PSs), has been used. The search for publications was carried out in the open and accessible sources of the latest twenty years (the retrospective period of 2001-2021), located in scientific and technical libraries of institutions, as well as in electronic databases: Elibrary, Medline / PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus, Cyberleninka, Google-academy, J-stage. When forming the information array, the search for publications was carried out according to the following requests: pharmaceutical services (pharmaceutical care services), the provision of pharmaceutical services, the quality of pharmaceutical services. For the conceptualization of the study, 87 scientific publications obtained as a result of information retrieval, have been used.Results. In the course of the study, a logical and structural analysis of the main directions in which research in the field of providing PSs in our country is developing, has been carried out. The main trends in the study of the providing services’ activity in the sphere of drug circulation, are characterized. A comprehensive analysis of the category of "pharmaceutical service" has been carried out. The terminological content of this concept, the groups of features characterizing the economic and social essence of educational institutions have been generalized, and the most characteristic features that make up the structure and content of educational institutions, have been identified. The existing approaches to the development of the nomenclature and types of PSs have been analyzed and the systematization of pharmaceutical works and services using the process approach, have been proposed by the authors.Conclusion. The conducted study indicates the presence of several directions in the development of research in the field of providing PSs, aimed at improving the quality of services for the population in pharmaceutical organizations. However, the most important role in the research is assigned to the study and assessment of the quality of educational institutions, the development of approaches to its optimization. As evidenced by the results of the analysis and generalization, the most successful activity in the provision of services in the field of drug circulation requires the implementation of a process approach and the implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMSs).

The quality of good and quality health services is marked by the provision of excellent, fast, precise and responsive service to customers which has an impact on customer satisfaction with the services provided. The hospital is one of several existing health service centers. There are many parts in the hospital, one of which is the pharmacy installation which is one of several parts in the hospital, which has an important role in addition to other parts. The PKM activity carried out at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital aims to provide assistance to pharmacy staff on pharmaceutical services to increase patient satisfaction. The methods used are discussion, lecture, simulation and empowerment. The implementation of PKM activities was carried out in March 2022. The participants in this activity were all 34 officers at the pharmacy installation. Evaluation of the activities that have been carried out using the instruments that have been prepared. From the PKM activities that have been carried out, it can be explained that there was an increase in participants' understanding of the material presented by the resource persons by 70.6%. The ability of participants to understand the material presented by the resource person will be an asset for officers in providing excellent service in hospitals, especially in pharmaceutical services which have an impact on patient satisfaction. It is expected that the activity participants are able to apply the strategy of providing excellent, fast, precise and responsive service so that patients feel satisfied with the services provided.

Pharmacists play a role in providing health care for mental illness patients such as medication management, providing drug information, medication counseling, and facilitating treatment adherence strategies. This study aimed to determine the effect of stigma, attitude and belief on the willingness to provide pharmaceutival services for mental illness individuals. This study design is a quantitative correlational study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling approach. The sample used was 376 respondents with the inclusion criteria of undergraduate and diploma pharmacy students in Central Java, Indonesia. Data analysis were conducted in structural equation modeling - partial least square (SEM-PLS). The statistical results showed that attitudes had a positive effect on the willingness of pharmacy students to provide pharmaceutical services for mental illness individuals (p<0.05). However, stigma and belief do not affect the willingness of pharmacy students to provide pharmaceutical services for mental illness individuals (p>0.05). This study suggested conducting learning evaluations such as improving mental health literacy and interdisciplinary collaboration.
