Premise. According to research, Self-actualization, as conceptualized by Maslow and taken over by the creators of the Big Five Personality model, has strong links with psychological well-being and life satisfaction. Facet descriptors are also a valuable guide for developing a personal development program for young people in the NEET category. In the doctoral research we proposed a behavioral optimization program by developing personality suppressors from the Big Five model, as they were conceptualized and described in the ABCD-M Questionnaire [5]. In this article we present the results obtained for the Selfactualization and its facets. Method. The longitudinal study involved 24 young people, aged between 23 and 26, belonging to the NEET category. Results. Following the participation in the psychological intervention program for the optimization of the behavior, the young people registered significant increases of the Self-actualization Surface and its facets, except for the Deepening.

The article raises a problem of strengthening personal resources when facing difficult life situations at the stage of self-realization. The latter refers to the period of personality develop-ment from the age of 20 to 55. At this stage, the adaptation potential, the level of self-actualization; and proactive coping behavior are highlighted as personality resources. Proac-tive coping behavior is considered to be an important factor in the personality’s self-efficacy, while the other two constructs are its predictors. Proactive coping is revealed as a set of strate-gies that launches preparatory work to prevent stress exposure, the purposeful development of which is an independent copying resource. Presumably, at the stage of self-realization, a person seeks self-actualization, the maxi-mum manifestation of his abilities, based on existing experience in opposing adverse envi-ronmental influences. The study involved 155 people aged from 21 to 55. The main method of data collection is psychological testing, implemented via the following methodological com-plex: Self-actualization test (E. Shostrom, adapted by Yu.E. Aleshina, L.Ya. Gozman, M.V. Zagika, M.V. Kroz); Losses and acquisitions of personal resources (N. Vodopyanova, M. Stein); Proactive coping behavior (L. Aspinwall, R. Schwarzer and S. Taubert, adapted by E. Starchenkova). Statistical data processing method is the regression analysis. The results of the regression analysis proved the influence of self-actualization and adaptive potential on the proactive coping behavior of an individual at the stage of self-realization. The choice of each strategy is determined by predictors (from 2 to 6). The greatest contribution belongs to the indicators of self-actualization scales (9 out of 14). Value orientations, spontaneity, synergy, cognitive needs and creativity stayed outside the influence on proactive coping. The connec-tions between the proactive coping strategies and the components of self-actualization are contradictory and ambiguous (most of them - 14 out of 22 - have the opposite character). The explanation is largely determined by the traits of the collectivist culture, the values of which are shared by adult members of the society. Adaptation potential was revealed to have a con-nection only in relation to the strategy of preventive coping. Self-esteem, sociability and the ability to find the optimal balance in the system of “internal-external support” should be attributed to the key predictors of proactive coping at the stage of self-realization.

The present study examined age, sex and personality correlates of self-actualization among older adults. The Personal Orientation Inventory and Personality Research Form were administered individually to 80 community men and women aged 56 yr.—84 yr. No main effect for sex was observed on inventory scores, but younger subjects (56 yr.—67 yr.) obtained higher scores than older subjects (68 yr—84 yr.) on four subscales: Existentiality, Feeling Reactivity, Acceptance of Aggression and Capacity for Intimate Contact. Age was negatively correlated with Feeling Reactivity in both sexes; Inner-directedness decreased with age in men and Capacity for Intimate Contact diminished with age in women. For men, inventory scores were positively associated with the traits of Change and Endurance and negatively correlated with Abasement, Order and Succorance. For women, Impulsivity correlated positively and Order was associated negatively with scores on the inventory. These results suggest that the components of self-actualization are differentially influenced by age for men and women and that the traits accompanying self-actualization are sex-linked.

Piagetian theory views intellective development in children as the unfolding of the axioms which form the basis of symbolic logic through maturation and learning. The modern derivation of set theory from these axioms may be seen as a model of how we formulate valid inferences. The axiomatic construction of the aleph null as equal to 1, which may be derived from the Cantorian algebra, can be used to extend the axiomatic basis of propositional calculus seen as the epistemological root of human knowledge by Piaget. A central postulation regarding natural languages proposed by Chomsky is the creative aspect of language. This axiomatic construction for the Continuum Hypothesis of Gregor Cantor, which permits a nonconfirmatory decision regarding this hypothesis, may be generalized to account for the various aspects of creativity in personality theory, forming (as an extension to Piaget's theory) essential mechanisms of cognition, language behaviour, and self-actualization.

Abstract: This present study aims at describing the personality and self-actualization of Unyil in the animation video of The Adventures of Si Unyil. This is a descriptive qualitative study in which the personality of Unyil was analyzed using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis theory with the theory specifying id, ego, and superego. Meanwhile, the self-actualization of Unyil was explored using Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of need with the needs consisting of physiological, safety, social, self-conception, and self-actualization. The data were elicited via a number of methods, including observation, transcription, and note-taking. The collected data were then analyzed using the chosen theories. The key findings of this study indicate that Unyil embraces a good personality by helping others, conforming to the acceptable norms, competitive, and selfless. However, at some point, he is also selfish and likes to tease his friends. With respect to self-actualization, it can be said that Unyil can generally fulfill his needs. The needs he cannot fulfill were not all due to his mistakes. Principal components analyses were calculated with intercorrelations of scores on scales measuring mental health and the five-factor model of personality on a sample of 296 university students. Mental health was measured with Affect Balance scale, Happiness Measure, Satisfaction with Life scale, Life Orientation test, Short Index of Self-actualization, Social Interest scale, and the Self-control Schedule, along with subscales from Scales of Psychological Well-being, Openness to Experience scale, and the Perceived Self Questionnaire. The five-factor model was measured with the Interpersonal Adjective Scale Revised–B5. Separate analyses for both the traditional five-factor model and the expanded interpersonal circumplex model of personality gave six-factor solutions. Scores on scales measuring subjective well-being, openness, and social interest loaded on the same factors as Neuroticism, Openness to Experience, and Agreeableness, respectively. Scales that measured autonomy and self-actualization formed a factor that was separate from the five-factor model.

The article discusses one of the key challenges of the global world – the problem of creative self-realization of personality as the way of being human within the framework of cross-cultural interaction. Theoretical-methodological base of research is the concept of creativity reconstruction, revealing the peculiarities of the modern social and cultural mentality and modeling comfortable barrier-free, international environment. The article shows a weak vitality of multiculturalism in the context of intercultural communication and the need for adaptation to the new reality through self-actualization and self-realization of its capabilities and resources through creativity. Authors describe the cultural-historical transformation of art as a way of actualization of a person in the culture. Creativity as a basic life installation is considered as a constitutive element of regulation of ethno-social processes. There is noted the relevance of the issue of cultural objectivism, creating a personality through its spiritual powers and abilities of the social program of "raspredelennykh" (“abstract”) meanings of culture through creativity, considered as overcoming cultural isolation, different cultural space, given the cultural-historical transformation. There is proposed the model of transition to higher stages of effectiveness of cross-cultural interaction through creativity, which is based on the methodology of reconstruction of creative processes in social and cultural space. To implement the adaptive capacity of the model there are selected the most relevant indicators of potential self-realization of migrants and host community. It is concluded that for realizing the potential of the contextual environment, as the bearer of possible properties that contribute to the manifestation of the meaning of human activities, it is necessary to create relevant models of effective cross-cultural communication and cultural migration, which foundation is the creativity as a way of actualization of a person in the culture.

The study analyzed the nature and essence of sexuality as a guarantee of relations between people, providing for the consistent solution of the following tasks: a) to show that it is in the context of this phenomenon that one should look for the focus of a person’s self, its uniqueness; b) determine that the realization of sexuality causes actualization of self-attitude, the result of which is the significant psychophysiological and philosophical changes in the personality. The realization of sexuality at the first stage of the awareness of the inseparability of love causes oppression of individuality, dissolution of consciousness, a complete subordination of the subject to his feeling and involves a study of the type of “bodily disease”, which progresses and requires treatment. However, the desire for survival introduces the process of “self-medication”, when the subject of unrequited love, under the influence of “self-care”, namely about his own body, revives his individuality, but at a higher level.

Personality growth as a socio-psychological problem is a multi-complex phenomenon that targets Self-identity, Self-actualization, and other areas. During the last decade scientists started studying other factors limiting the personality growth, such as stress and post-trauma. However, the Survival Roles, the socio-individual patterns based on neurophysiological and psychological defense mechanisms blocking the personality Self-actualization, social interaction and professional business qualities, are rarely discussed. Thus this study based on Survival Roles may extend the personality growth oriented concepts and therapy modality tools. This study showed a correlation between Survival Role patterns, stress resilience, and survival reflexes (integrative units of the nervous system functions). Comparative data on 464 business professionals from high management jobs (Study Group — n=340, and Control Group — n=124) participated in this research which found 70.9 % (n=329) of the total group was in stress. This stress activated socio-individual Survival Roles and protective reflex patterns which responded with reactivity, over-protection, non-constructive interactions with others and limited business strategies. The MNRI® reflex integrative training used in this study demonstrated improvement of functions of the protective reflex patterns effected positively the survival mechanisms including increased stress resilience, and decreased negative effect of Survival Roles. MNRI® proposes a new paradigm in the realm of personality growth and socio-interpersonal activity, and supports the neurophysiological aspects to optimize the overall quality of life of business professionals from a variety of high management business areas.

There is a need to develop specific techniques to help individuals in self-actualization. The article suggests an instrument that has been tested over years and validated with over 800 people. The theoretical basis is the method of making inner knowledge explicit, using a construct called subpersonality. The technology suggested the individual follows four steps: (1) s/he analyzes his/her strengths and weaknesses, drawing them on a plane of four concentric circles on paper; (2) s/he draws the qualities – subpersonalities as ‘little houses’; (3) models his/her personality with the help of a modified technique “Work with creative garbage”; and (4) uses elements of psychodrama (role-divided psychotherapy). The paper presents a case study of one participant, so as to show the practical application of this technology, and to validate its effectiveness. In the concluding section, we demonstrate how this technology helps a person to interpret one of his/her personal qualities, and creates conditions for self-acceptance, integrity of self-image, and ways of self-actualization. We confirm that the technology described can help psychologists to assist their patients in self-cognition and in learning about their personal qualities. This can help psychology experts in various fields.

An analysis of the work of domestic and foreign scholars on the problem of professional self-determination of personality, made it possible to find out that there is no single theory in the understanding of the process of professional self-determination of personality. The article reveals the essence of the concepts of «personality», «profession», «professional self-determination», «professional self-determination of personality», «self-determination». The genesis is analyzed and approaches to the definition of the essence of the concept of «professional self-determination of personality» are considered. The emphasis is placed on the professional self-determination of a personality as a multicomponent phenomenon that is interconnected with professional development and the formation of an individual. The author’s definition of the concept of «professional self-determination of personality» is proposed as a prolonged, dynamic and phased process of self-knowledge and professional choice, influenced by external and internal factors of the subject. It has been established that in the writings of leading scholars there is an increased interest in the problem of professional self-determination of personality. The great experience of the various concepts and theoretical approaches developed to understanding the problem of professional self-determination of personality points to the complexity and multicomponent nature of the phenomenon of «professional self-determination of personality», as well as its close connection with the person’s self-determination of the person, his self-realization, self-actualization and self-knowledge in professional activity.

Currently, the characteristics of the emergence and course of burnout syndrome among medical staff working with cancer children are not studied enough. It seems relevant to consider the psychological features of oncological medical specialists as an important personal factor, a protector of burnout syndrome. The features (empathetic tendencies, personal and situational anxiety, neurotization, self-actualization) in health care professionals working with cancer children were investigated. The object of the study was medical workers specializing in the field of oncology (doctors: radiologists, chemotherapists, hematologists, coloproctologists, hepatologists, pediatric oncologists, transfusiologists, etc.) with various experience. Research base was R. M. Gorbacheva Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology, St. Petersburg. The study revealed the interconnection between the level of emotional burnout syndrome and levels of empathy tendencies, neurotization and anxiety of medical professionals: health workers with a high degree of empathy have less predisposition to burnout. The interconnection between the expression of emotional burnout syndrome and the self-actualization of personality of medical professionals was also revealed: the lower level of self-actualization the doctors have, the more inklined to emotional burnout they are.

The article reviews the methods that go beyond the activities of educational institutions: volunteer work, social and psychological training, methods of expressive psychotherapy (art therapy, movement and dance therapy, music therapy, and neuroacoustics – sound therapy), etc. Based on the ecopsychological approach, psychological culture is suggested to be defined as a set of actions to create optimal internal conditions for the development and self-modification of the personality, to cultivate a subject of activity capable of taking action, coordinating its activity with the natural, social, spiritual. and moral (value and meaning) foundations of interaction with the surrounding world and oneself. The article analyses the results of the study of the effect of psychological culture on the development of self-actualization of teachers in refresher courses. At the ascertaining and control stages, the level of self-actualization of teachers in the control and experimental groups was assessed using the Self-Actualization Test (SAT). At the formative stage, teachers of the experimental group participated in a program for the development of psychological culture. The ecopsychological approach with principles developed on its basis and the stage-by-stage nature of the development of new mental functions serves as a basis for constructing the technology for implementing the program for the development of psychological culture in specialists. The reliability of the test results and differences in the mean values are assessed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The formative program shows the effective influence of psychological culture development on personal self-actualization.

In the course of acmeological development, transition of an individual from adaptation to preadaptive activity takes place. Thanks to preadaptivity, a person has new opportunities for the development of such features of his personality that help to overcome various crisis and uncertain situations. In such conditions, the system of personal senses becomes an integral regulator of life activity. The state of integrity of this system shows the possible ways of raising a person above self-actualization as a result of self realization in reality. Self-transcendence follows self-actualization and means going beyond the present self to fulfill the highest purpose. Self-transcendence is based on the process of overcoming the existential crisis of finiteness of one's being, as a result of which the system of personal senses gets restarted and shifts to creating cultural benefits for other people. Self-transcendence contains such existential attributes as experience of creative insights, preservation of subjectivity, ability to overcome existential crises in a positive way, tolerance to uncertainty, creative thinking, freedom in taking responsibility in search for one's own destiny

Individual religiosity is defined by a mature person as a complex, integrative socio psychological property of a person, due to her having a special paradigm view of the world as created by God, and including cognitive, emotional, behavioral, identification and value components. An information new personality is the ability to manage information flows. Introduction: growing up of a child is a process of constantly changing the structure of his subjective and objective characteristics, including the formation in ontogenesis of the image of adulthood, its development and implementation, as well as the reflection of the development of adulthood by children in the psychological and pedagogical space by participants of the educational process (parents, educators). In the framework of one of the particular hypotheses, we define the psychological and pedagogical space for the development of a rural schoolchild by the dynamics of maturation of the components of self-awareness: self-understanding, self-actualization and selfattitude. The data of an empirical study of the dynamic aspects of the maturing of schoolchildren in the space of the village, who are going through the inter-age transition, are presented. The goal is determined by the need to study the specific characteristics of growing up of rural adolescents living in the Velizhsky and Smolensk districts of the Smolensk region, who are studying in rural schools for a total of 120 people, 68 of which are boys and 52 are girls. Materials and methods: to study the structural and content characteristics of the dynamics of growing up, determined by the development of the components of self-awareness: selfunderstanding, self-actualization and self-relation, we used the following psychological tools: 1) the method of assessing the level of self-actualization of the person (SAMOAL) Kalina (1987); 2) the method of the study of self-attitude (IIA) Pantileev and V.V. Stolin (1989); 3) the method of free self-description of M. Kuhn and T. McPartland (1992). Results: the results of the study showed that adolescents in the studied sample are characterized by high self-understanding scales (χ = 7.82), which is evidence that adolescents are sensitive, sensitive to their own needs and desires, are free from psychological defenses that separate their personality from its own essence, and also not inclined to the substitution of their own tastes and evaluations by external social standards adopted in society. The data of the correlation analysis in the studied sample of adolescents self-understanding positively correlates with p <0.01 with autonomy (r = 0.47), spontaneity (r = 0.31), autosympathy (r = 0.49) and contact (r = 0, 18). High values were determined on the scales of reflected self-relation (χ = 6.05), self-value (χ = 6.89) and selfattachment (χ = 5.92). These data reflect adolescents’ perceptions that their personality, character, and activities are capable of giving others respect, sympathy, approval, and understanding; and also point to some rigidity of their «self-concept», conservative self-sufficiency, denial of the possibility and desirability of developing their self hood against the background of the characteristics of growing up. Discussion and conclusions: the content of adolescents’ self-understanding presents the realities and aspects of their own inner life that are relevant for the development of their personality. High school students seek to understand not only their personal qualities and character traits, interests and abilities, attitudes towards themselves and with other people, but also their feelings and motives, values and beliefs, life plans and goals. The process of growing up of adolescents involves the development of the main components of their self-awareness, and in this process adults can be of great help to the teenager. The data obtained are taken into account in the psychological and pedagogical support of adolescents in the socio-cultural space of the village; a program of socio-psychological training sessions has been developed, aimed at developing their self-understanding, self-actualization and self-relationship, which will ensure the development of their adult self-consciousness. There is a tendency to further research on the influence of sociocultural factors on the implementation of a particular strategy of growing up and the attitude of growing children to it at a distance of adolescence.
