Occurrence of leaf rot disease (LRDC) of coconut is related to increased incidence of root wilt disease (RWD). The palms with RWD irrespective of age are susceptible, young ones are more susceptible to LRDC. Tender leaves especially the spindle play a critical role in LRDC incidence and the disease attributed to fungal complex. Among the 14 species of LRDC Angi, several were proved to be pathogenic; Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Penzig) Penzig and Sacc and Exserohilum rostratum (Drechsler) Leonard and Suggs are discerned as the main pathogens. C. gloesporoides was aggressive during monsoons and positively correlated with rainfall and relative humidity (11% RH, whereas Erostratum less strongly correlated Fusarium spp. predominated in dry seasons. Importance of microclimate, survival and quiescence of the pathogens are to be determined. Diagnosis of RWD by techniques such as PCR and understanding the molecular basis of vulnerability of palms to LRDC would help to initiate early control measures. Planting of RWD cum LRDC resistantl tolerant varieties after eradicating the RWD infected palms is desirable. Protection ofyoung leaves by chemical or biocontrol agents or a combination of both with phytosanitation is important. 4 system approach with integrated measures needs to be utilizedfor sound management of LRDC.

Many Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla King.) is used as the main tree in the area or the forestry industry plans. If the tree is planted monoculture, the mahogany stand has become highly vulnerable to pest and diseases, because monoculture tree plantations are an abundant food source for both organisms. This study aims to determine the types of fungi that attacking and cause disease in plant parts mahogany. The result showed that there are ten species of fungi that attack mahogany. Seven of them have been identified while the other cannot be identified. Fungi are attacked or negative associations in the roots, stem, leaves and fruits of plant mahogany. The seven species of fungi are Rhizopus arrhizus Fischer; Mucor racemosus Fres; Mycgone rosea Link; Absidia corymbifera (Cohn.) Sacc and Trotter; Monilia sitophila (Mont.) Sacc; Cladosporium spharospermeum Penzig; and Myrothecium verrucaria (Orig.). Fungi that attack the roots of the tree are A. corymbifera (Cohn.) Sacc and C. spharospermeum Penzig. M. rosea Link and M. sitophila (Mont.) Sacc attacking the leaf. R. arrhizus Fischer and M. verrucaria (Orig.) attacks the stems of trees while Mucor racemosus Fres. Attacking the fruit of mahogany. Cagaita (Eugenia dysenterica Mart. Ex DC.), family Myrtaceae, is an important wild perennial fruit crop in Central Brazil (1). Anthracnose symptoms were observed on cagaita leaves in a field in Brasília, Federal District (S 15° 36′ 16″ W 47° 42′ 42″), in August 2000. A fungus was consistently isolated from infected leaves and grown on potato dextrose agar (PDA) and its identification was made by P. F. Cannon of CABI Bioscience as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Penzig) Penzig & Sacc. (IMI 384184). Pathogenicity tests were performed on 16 cagaita seedlings by placing mycelial PDA plugs on leaves previously wounded with a sterile needle. Control plants were inoculated with plugs without mycelia. After inoculations, the plants were placed in a dew chamber maintained at 25°C for 72 h and later transferred to the greenhouse. Necrotic leaf spots developed on 100% of the inoculated plants 4 days later. Koch's postulates were fulfilled by consistently reisolating C. gloeosporioides from inoculated plants. Control plants remained symptomless. Inoculations were repeated twice with the same results. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of anthracnose caused by C. gloeosporioides of cagaita in Brazil. Reference: (1) S. P. Almeida et al. 1998. A cultura da macieira no Brasil ocupa cerca de 35 mil hectares com uma produção que chega, em alguns anos, a 1 milhão de toneladas. Dentre os principais vírus que infectam as plantas estão os chamados latentes Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV), Apple chlorotic leaf spot virus (ACLSV) e Apple stem pitting virus (ASPV) como também o Apple mosaic virus (ApMV). Atualmente, entre as doenças fúngicas mais importantes estão à podridão de olho de boi causadas por Cryptosporiopsis perennans e a mancha foliar da gala causada por Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de avaliar a predisposição em frutos e folhas da cultivar Maxi Gala com infecções virais a C. perennans e a C. gloeosporioides, respectivamente. Em frutos as infecções virais utilizadas foram: ACLSV (C), ACLSV+ ASPV+ ApMV (C+P+M), ASGV (G), ASGV + ASPV (G+P), ASGV + ACLSV + ASPV (G+C+P), ASGV + ACLSV + ASPV + ApMV (G+C+P+M). Foram analisadas nos frutos durante a colheita e após o armazenamento as variáveis de incidência e o número de lenticelas necrosadas, teor de açúcar, firmeza, escala iodo-amido, lenticelas abertas (l.a.), atividade das enzimas peroxidases (PO) e polifenol oxidase (PPO) e teor de fenóis. Em plantas com infecção do vírus ASGV foram avaliadas a incidência, número de manchas, severidade, taxa de progresso da doença, período de incubação, a atividade de enzimas PO e PPO e teor de fenóis analisadas em ramos. Os frutos com infecções virais apresentam maior predisposição a C. perennans, pois tiveram mais incidência, exceção de C, durante a colheita e após armazenamento e número de lenticelas necrosadas após o armazenamento. Os frutos com G+C+P+M apresentaram-se mais maduros e mais l.a. na colheita e após o armazenamento. Os frutos com infecção de G e G+C+P+M apresentaram menor atividade da PO, mas sem alteração da PPO ou do teor de fenóis. As plantas com ASGV apresentaram maior predisposição à infecção de C. gloeosporioides, pois apresentaram maior incidência, número de manchas, severidade e menor tempo de incubação e PPO.
Apples are grown in Brazil on approximately 35 thousand hectares with a production that reaches 1 million ton in some years. The so called latent apple viruses Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV), Apple chlorotic leaf spot virus (ACLSV) and Apple stem pitting virus (ASPV) as well as Apple mosaic virus (ApMV) stand out as the most commonly involved in apple viral infections. Bull´s eye rot caused by Cryptosporiopsis perennans and the Gala leaf spot caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides are among the most important fungal diseases. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of viral infections on predisposing apple plants, cv. Maxi Gala, to subsequent infections by C. perennans and by C. gloeosporioides in fruits and leaves, respectively. In fruits the treatments ACLSV (C), ACLSV+ ASPV+ ApMV (C+P+M), ASGV (G), ASGV + ASPV (G+P), ASGV + ACLSV + ASPV (G+C+P), ASGV + ACLSV + ASPV + ApMV (G+C+P+M) were analyzed at harvest and after cold room storage period in relation to disease incidence, number of necrotic lenticels, sugar content, firmness, iodine-starch, lenticel opening (l.o.), the activity of peroxydases (PO), polyphenol oxydase (PPO) and the phenol content. In plants pre-infected with ASGV the incidence and the number of leafspots per leaf, severity and the rate of disease progress, incubation period of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, the activity of the enzymes PO and PPO and phenol content in twigs were analysed. The incidence of C. perennans in fruits pre-infected with viruses was higher, excepting C, in these fruits at harvest and after cold storage, and the number of necrotic lenticels was higher. Ripeness of fruits pre-infected with G+C+P+M was advanced and fruits had higher l.o. at harvest and after storage. Fruits pre-infected with G and G+C+P+M showed a lower PO activity, but their PPO activity and phenolics contents were unaltered. C. gloeosporioides had a higher infectivity on leaves of plants with ASGV,showed higher disease incidence, leafspots and disease severity and lower incubation period and activity of PPO.

The subject of this final thesis is the preparation of a project documentation for the building construction of a new pension with restaurant and wine cellar. The compound is located in Vážany nad Litavou. Its location falls under Velké Pavlovice area. Due to the location in this wine-growing region is in the project located, a wine cellar with a vineyard. The project is designed as a guesthouse with the restaurant designed for families with children, and for holding small social or company events. For this purpose, is in the main building designed a lounge with capacity of 20 people and a restaurant with capacity of 60 persons. The accommodation capacity provided in the pension is 43 beds. Pension offers background designed for relaxation or wellness stays thanks to the sauna and whirlpool. The building has rectangular plan on two basements and two above-ground floors with a mono-pitched roof facing south. This makes it possible to use solar power from the roof and south-facing facade. Water from the roof of the building is collected in a small pond, which serves as a storage reservoir useful in case of fire and vineyard irrigation. Near the building there are paved and parking areas.
