This section includes a presentation of the results of statistical processing using a set of tables and then analyzed and discussed in a scientific manner and supported by scientific sources through this discussion and then reach the objectives of the researchConclusion included the conclusions, including (Al Hussein Club got the acceptable level and got the air force clubs - Zawra - border police at the middle level and got oil clubs - Karkh - electricity - Baghdad Municipality - students at a good level) and recommendations thereof (it is necessary that the Committee Olympic Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Football Association to prepare a strategic plan to help sports clubs in the application of the Asian licensing system).

Abstract This article uncovers the hidden history of Desk and Derrick, a female-only petroleum industry employees’ club, to emphasize the importance of clerical work and support staff to oil industry development. In doing so, it demonstrates that despite the oil industry's mythology of individual inventors and lucky wildcatters, oil was remarkably similar to other large-scale scientific and engineering enterprises during the middle decades of the twentieth century. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, oil's white-collar and administrative jobs expanded rapidly. And in this industry as in others, women were fundamental to oil industry technological development and labor conflicts. Desk and Derrick's was a haven for working women, providing community, training, and leadership opportunities in an industry deeply hostile to female employees. The club provided numerous outreach and educational campaigns included seminars, workshops, fieldtrips, and conventions. These events showcased female competence and technical knowledge, clashing with union derision and corporate dismissal. The club's vocal emphasis on scientific education and credentialization represented a bid for female inclusion within an increasingly technically complex professional world. However, entrenched workplace sexism and union hostility to changing labor structures limited member opportunities. Ultimately, Desk and Derrick's middle-class aspirations allied the club with industry rebranding efforts and helped support industry automation and union-busting. Desk and Derrick valorized industry engineers and scientific professionals, spreading narratives of prosperity through technology that coincided with industry-wide efforts to repair oil companies’ reputations as greedy, wasteful, and exploitative. In turn, midcentury oil companies promoted Desk and Derrick as a convenient, grassroots way to spread their message.

This study uses club theory to describe the incentives of extractive industry MNCs to support the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), a multi-stakeholder promoted voluntary social program (VSP) aimed at creating national legislation to make the royalty payments received by governments from mining and oil and gas companies more transparent to the public. We characterize the EITI as a VSP that lacks stringent standards and that has a moderate to high level of enforcement through the national governments that have adopted its principles. According to club theory, VSPs with these characteristics produce only a low to medium level of club benefits, in this case “social branding,” for member firms. Noting that over 60 MNCs have signed on to the EITI as of April 2012, we argue that VSPs offering low to medium club benefits should be most attractive to MNCs from countries with long arm disclosure laws, to MNCs lacking relationships with NGOs seeking inexpensive CSR, to MNCs relying upon financing from institutional and social investors, to MNCs attempting to differentiate themselves from competitors on social criteria, and to MNCs with broad stakeholder-focused top managers. We also describe the implications for MNCs if the EITI were to include a more stringent set of social requirements.

In the latest court decision in the context of the “Prestige” case, post-Brexit legal complexities came to the forefront. The “London P&I Club” contested a Spanish court’s decision demanding compensation for an oil spill. Invoking arbitration, the Club sought to prevent enforcement of the Spanish judgment in the UK. However, the CJEU ruled the arbitration couldn’t block the Spanish judgment’s recognition. Challenging this, Justice Butcher of the London High Court found the CJEU had overstepped its jurisdiction. He concluded the arbitration proceedings could indeed impede the Spanish judgment’s enforcement, highlighting tensions between UK courts and CJEU post-Brexit, and raising critical questions about arbitration’s role in international disputes and the principles of irreconcilability and public policy.

This article examines the history of the Royal Dutch Shell scenarios, from the first horizon scan exercise in 1967. It proposes that forward-looking scenarios were integrated in planning at Shell as tools for managing uncertainty in global time and space relations of oil after 1967. Specifically, the article proposes that Shell strategically used the scenarios to respond to arguments, emanating both from OPEC and from the Club of Rome, of oil as a limited resource. Shell used the scenarios to create images of a future oil market dominated by innovation, creativity, and sustainable solutions.

The most important recommendations - The necessity of using competition-like exercises in training youth soccer players because of their importance in developing endurance performance and scoring accuracy. Conducting similar research and studies to see the use of competitive exercises in developing other abilities and attributes.

Introduction . The aim of this study was to determine the frequency and management of complications of AOM and COM over a period of 15 years in E.N.T Clinic “Iuliu Haţieganu”, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, and to discuss the new concept in their treatment. Methods . Between January 2001 to December 2015, patients admitted to E.N.T. Department, “Iuliu Haţieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, with the diagnosis of otitis media and an associated intratemporal or intracranian complication were analyzed retrospectively. The overall incidence of all complications and of each complication individually was determined. Results . A total of 930 patients were diagnosed with otitis media. Complications of otitis media were diagnosed in 35 patients; thus, the incidence of complications was 3.37%. We identified 27 (2.9%) intratemporal complications and 8 (0.86%) intracranial complications. The most frequent complication was labyrinthine fistula in 13 (1.39%) patients. Conclusion . The incidence of otitis complications remains significant in our department. Chronic otitis media with cholesteatoma is the most frequent etiology of complications. Labyrinthine fistula is the most common complication of otitis media.

ABSTRACT Oil spill cooperatives are generally organized under an agreement that requires a member company to indemnify all other members fully against liability arising from a member company's spill and response actions with cooperative resources. The cooperatives also require the same type of indemnification on the part of nonmembers and third parties. When a major third-party spill occurs in an area where the cooperative's equipment is required, the cooperative can find itself dealing with representatives of shipping companies who are unable or unwilling to commit to required indemnification. At the same time, it is likely to be in the interest of the cooperative (the oil and gas industry) to ensure an adequate response is made. Reverting to federal response under U. S. Cost Guard direction is an option (Section 311[k] Fund), but not preferred. The Coast Guard has been unwilling or unable to establish contractual arrangements before the fact with cooperatives, thus leading to instances of delayed payments, non-allowable costs, and disputes. Protection and indemnification (P&I) clubs, which underwrite the liability insurance of the vessels, are accustomed to dealing with marine disasters and have been asked to review the indemnification requirements of Clean Seas, which are similar to those of other industry cooperatives. The clubs are willing to work with the cooperatives’ requirements to eliminate an inordinate amount of time in contract negotiations during the early hours or days of a spill and to ensure parties do not have to rely upon a federal response. With the acceptance of these requirements by the clubs, it is hoped shipping companies and representatives will be able to enter into contracts or indemnification agreements with cooperatives with full support from the clubs.

The work is devoted to a review of the results of the 145rd meeting of the Dispute Club “Eco- nomic Policy Knots” of the Association of Russian Economic Think Tanks (hereinafter referred to as ARETT) on the topic "Oil market – when is it up again?". The purpose of the event was to discuss the situation in the oil and oil products market, as well as the prospects for the development of this mar- ket. The disputants were Mikhail Krutikhin, partner of the RusEnergy consulting agency, and Alex- ander Kurdin, Deputy Dean for Science of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University and head of research in the Department for Energy and Utilities of the Analytical Center for the Govern- ment of the Russian Federation. A yeast strain was isolated from olive brines in a fermented black olive and olive oil manufacturing plant in the town of Nyons (France). On the basis of domains 1 and 2 (D1/D2) large subunit (LSU) rRNA gene and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region sequence analyses, the strain CLIB 1303T was found to be closely related, but clearly distinct, from the three existing species of the genus Citeromyces: Citeromyces matritensis, Citeromyces siamensis and Citeromyces haiwaiiensis. Strain CLIB 1303T exhibited 6 bp, 7 bp and 12 bp divergences in the D1/D2 LSU rRNA gene with C. siamensis, C. matritensis and C. hawaiiensis, respectively. ITS region divergence amounted to more than 8 %, 4 % and 4.5 % with C. siamensis, C. matritensis and C. hawaiiensis, respectively, in addition to several indels. Like C. matritensis and C. siamensis strains, strain CLIB 1303T was shown to be halotolerant and osmotolerant. Phenotypically, strain CLIB 1303T can be distinguished from other species of the genus Citeromyces by its inability to assimilate trehalose. The strain CLIB 1303T ( = CBS 12700T) was assigned to a novel species, Citeromyces nyonsensis sp. nov.

The paper takes as its starting point the figure of the owl as the emblem of philosophy, it looks at its history and takes up its most significant philosophical use, the notorious passage where Hegel uses the owl as the indication of philosophy?s necessary belatedness. This is the passage which is usually taken as the point of indictment of Hegel?s position and the role he ascribed to philosophy. Hegel?s adage ?What is rational is actual, and what is actual is rational? is scrutinized in its various aspects, particularly in view of its other version, ?what is rational must happen?. The tension between the ?is? and the ?ought? is perhaps the clue to understanding this adage, where Hegel doesn?t opt for the one or the other, but aims at the paradoxical intersection of the two. Hegel?s adage is put in contrast with Marx?s Thesis Eleven. The paper considers the concepts of the rational, the actual, the belatedness/retroaction, the grayness and finally the owl (and the part that bestiary plays in philosophy), thus trying to circumscribe the task that should be assigned to philosophy.

_ East Africa is positioning itself as a global player in liquefied natural gas (LNG) with the world’s supermajors staking out projects that will ramp up this decade to supply India, Southeast Asia, and China through 2050. With three LNG megaprojects—two in Mozambique and one in neighboring Tanzania—soon to take off after years of false starts and delays, it is no wonder that India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar visited the region in April with energy security top of mind. Jaishankar’s East Africa trip was the first official visit to the region by an Indian foreign minister in over a decade. He stopped first in Uganda where oil is in play after Uganda inked a deal in February to complete the long-delayed East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) and deliver first oil in 2025 from Uganda’s Lake Albert oil fields to Tanzania’s port of Tanga on the Indian Ocean. After spending 3 days in Uganda, Jaishankar traveled to Mozambique where state-owned ONGC Videsh leads an Indian consortium holding a 30% stake in the country’s $20-billion Offshore Area 1 project, Mozambique LNG, which stalled in April 2021 after the operator, TotalEnergies, declared force majeure over terrorist attacks in Cabo Delgado Province near the Afungi peninsula plant site. Mozambique LNG’s 13.1-mtpa capacity, two-train facility is one of two megaprojects that will help transform East Africa into a global LNG supplier. The other is ExxonMobil’s Rovuma LNG project, another two-train facility for which a final investment decision (FID) was delayed as the Islamic insurgency that had been building since 2020 intensified along the Cabo Delgado coast. India imports 85% of its oil and 55% of its natural gas. In 2022, it consumed about 22 mpta of LNG, according to Shell’s LNG Outlook 2023. India’s business daily Mint reported that during Q1 2023, India’s LNG imports were worth $14.88 billion, an amount that was 36.46% higher than the $10.90 billion value of LNG India imported in Q1 2022. So far in 2023, Qatar has been India’s No. 1 LNG supplier followed by the UAE and the US. By 2030, Mozambique, Tanzania, and possibly the Republic of Djibouti (with access to the Indian Ocean via the Gulf of Aden) will be joining the list. Considering that tankers can deliver LNG and oil from the East African coast to the subcontinent in 3 days, it’s no wonder that Mint described the foreign minister’s visit as “signifying New Delhi’s push to develop Africa as a key (energy) supplier.” India and China Claim Big Stakes in Future East African Energy Flows Indian partners ONGC Videsh Rovuma, Beas Rovuma Energy Mozambique, and BPRL Ventures Mozambique control 30% of the Mozambique LNG project (10% each). Total E&P Mozambique Area 1 holds a 26.5% operator interest with remaining shares distributed among Mozambique state-owned ENH Rovuma Área Um (15%); Japan’s Mitsui E&P Mozambique Area 1 (20%), and Thailand’s PTTEP Mozambique Area 1 (8.5%).

Offshore structures are used around the world for many functions, and these structures vary according to the depth of the water, the depth of water and environmental conditions are the main factors that determine the type of platform and method of drilling, appropriate planning, manufacturing, transportation, installation, and start-up. At the beginning of the twentieth century, oil and natural gas were discovered in the Middle East, specifically in the Lebanese basin. This discovery opened the door for Lebanon and entered the club of oil states. This paper is a study and analysis of blocks No. 4 and No. 9 that may contain the largest amount of oil and natural gas in addition to studying and analysing the types of marine installations (fixed and movable) and provide the best suggestions for the type suitable platform for the process of extracting oil and natural gas from the Sea of Lebanon according to the depth of water and factors Natural. The option of a drillship for drilling is the most appropriate option, given the lack of sufficient information about the nature of the soil in the Lebanese Sea. The drillship is considered an optimal solution given for ease of movement and in the absence of oil, the cost is much lower than the installation of fixed platforms. Semisubmersible rig for drilling and Tension Leg Platform or Semisubmersible Platform as well as Subsea System for oil/gas extraction are good alternatives to be employed in the Lebanese oil/gas fields.

The need to finance budget gaps often compel nations to seek external sources of fund with the intention that such funds would be applied on projects that will enable her deepen the economy. Thus, the issue of external debt and economic development has attracted a wide discourse among researchers, analysts, practitioners etc, with the main intension to ascertain how the nation has indeed applied such funds and the effect. Extant studies have revealed conflicting results on the interaction between economic development dynamics and external debt fundamentals. Also, few of these studies have attempted to consider the linkage between the human factor matrix and external debt financing. It is against this backdrop that this study sought to examine the impact of increase in external debt stock and its servicing on human capital development. Four hypotheses were formulated and tested at 5% level of significance. Ex-post facto research design was adopted and time series data spanning 30 years (1986-2015) were processed using the models earlier formulated. Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression technique was used to test the hypotheses. The study found that both external debt stock and external debt servicing had significant negative effect on human capital development; external debt stock borrowed from Paris club and multilateral creditors had insignificant negative effect; those borrowed from London club had insignificant positive effect while those borrowed from bilateral creditors had significant positive effect. On debt servicing, all the creditors showed insignificant positive effect except London club that had significant positive effect. The study concluded that nations could finance their budget deficits with external funds but should ensure that such funds are applied on priority projects that have the capacity to deepen the economy and improve the well fair of her citizens. Among other recommendations is the fact that both the state and federal government should create investment window that will significantly reduce the level of unemployment prevalent in the country and also embark on industrial revolution that will greatly widen the nation’s revenue base and reduce her reliance on oil and gas as the main source of revenue.

The high separation of crude oil supply and demand markets has led to the formation of a global crude oil trading system. This paper constructs global crude oil trade networks, integrates macro, meso, and micro network analysis methods, combines geospatial visualization techniques, and then portrays the spatiotemporal patterns and topological evolution of the global crude oil trade networks. Thus, it attempts to dig deeper into the world crude oil competition and cooperation links and evolution laws and provides a scientific reference for a comprehensive understanding of the global crude oil market dynamics. The results show that: (1) After three fluctuations of increase and decrease since 2000, the global crude oil trade volume is entering the adjustment period, and the scale of the crude oil market is rising slowly. (2) The international crude oil trade has formed trade network patterns with complex structures, clear hierarchy and unbalanced distribution. The “rich club” phenomenon is significant, with large trading countries dominating the trade network. (3) The scale and density of the global crude oil trade network show a trend of increasing and then decreasing, the network agglomeration pattern becoming more obvious, the inter-nodal links continuously strengthening, and the network connectivity improving. (4) The global crude oil trade networks are characterized by core–periphery structures, and the polarization effect is significant. The US, Russia, China, Japan, the Netherlands, and South Korea hold the core positions in the crude oil trade network, and the major importing countries have become the dominant forces in the trade network. In addition, we present policy suggestions for different types of countries for energy transformation and security in the global trade market system, which can be used as a reference for policymakers.

The Schools Information Program (SIP), a joint venture of the Petroleum Club of Western Australia and APPEA, has operated as a successful model of the petroleum industry engaging with the Western Australian education community since 1991.Targetted at Year 10 students (15-year-olds) in mainly metropolitan Perth Government and private high schools, the SIP involves the delivery of a short-term (about six weeks) education program—in six parts. The program, together with its course materials and student assessment instruments, is designed to integrate with components of WA’s curriculum for Science, Social Science, Technology and Enterprise, and English. Operating in 22 Perth schools, the SIP framework is structured according to six core areas of the hydrocarbon industry sector:exploration;drilling;production;transportation;refining; andsustainable development.The program’s mode of delivery is largely via a series of classroom presentations by volunteer professionals drawn from the WA petroleum industry, together with field trips to relevant sites near Perth. The SIP is managed by a part-time co-ordinator (0.6) and the entire program is overseen by a ‘steering committee’, drawn from APPEA, the Board of Governors of the Petroleum Club of WA, along with some of the industry presenters.Individual companies in the industry are involved at a number of levels: co-ordinating presenters; preparing presentation materials; providing on-going support for students during the program; providing prizes as an incentive to the students; and also providing cash donations to assist with the costs of the Co-ordinator. The course materials consist of standard slide presentations (available in both electronic or OHP format), and are complemented by written worksheets, and a website integrated with the Petroleum Club of WA’s site. During the program, the students, working in groups, compete for substantial industry-related prizes, by completing a research project related to the SIP course content. A separate Board of Review assesses projects formally according to a set of established criteria.That the SIP is a success is confirmed quantitatively using formal ongoing program evaluation by the students, their teachers, and the industry presenters, and is evidenced by the number of schools seeking the limited places in the program. Other education initiatives (e.g. Speaking of Oil and Gas, and The Introduction to the Petroleum Industry seminars) are also discussed in this paper as they have links to the SIP.

In my article, I chose one group of cucurbits, the oil pumpkin. The pumpkin can be considered an old cultivated plant dating back hundreds of years, but the importance of the oil pumpkin can be traced back to the last 10 years. My goal in writing this article is to point out the importance of pumpkin seed oil and to highlight its beneficial effects in addition to emphasizing a healthy lifestyle. In Hungary, pumpkin seed oil is more important in the western part of the country’s border (Vas and Zala counties), while in Romania it is in Cluj County and the surrounding areas, as well as the territorial units of Bucharest. In addition to its characteristic delicious taste, pumpkin seed oil is also considered healthy, as it is considered one of the best immune-boosting substances. Pumpkin seed oil is also beneficial for preserving masculinity, preventing prostate problems, and stomach and digestion problems. After presenting the cultivation conditions of pumpkin seed oil, I present the production possibilities of pumpkin seed oil and the market prospects of pumpkin seed oil from the perspective of Romania.

ABSTRACT In an oil spill response operation, events generate an “incident personality.” How this personality develops depends greatly upon how control is exercised. This paper considers the crisis management element in an oil spill response and seeks to differentiate between response management and crisis management. Three incidents are briefly used as examples of how a crisis management role was defined and implemented, or not, as the case may be. The concept of crisis management is introduced. The crisis management team, or manager, will assume a role that allows for flexibility, without direct involvement in response activities. Many major companies already operate, or have plans for, a crisis management team. However, in many instances, shipowners or operators rely on their P&I clubs to step into the role of crisis management, without actively contributing themselves.

Drawing on three theories; uses and gratification, social identity, and reasoned action, this study investigates the moderating role of type of participation and the sport fanaticism between brand community identification (BCI) and oppositional brand loyalty (OBL). Moreover, it explores the influence of sports fanaticism on the type of participation. A convenience sample of 455 members from the online communities of the two most famous competing clubs in Egypt (Al-Ahly and Zamalek) was used ; the validity of the proposed model has been verified. To test the proposed hypotheses, partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) relying upon WarpPLS.7 was utilized. The findings indicated that sports fanaticism is more influential on posting engagement behavior than lurking engagement behavior. Moreover, BCI is a key enabler of OBL. Furthermore, the sport fanaticism does not moderate between BCI and OBL. Finally, BCI has stronger positive effect OBL among posters than lurkers in OBCs. Key academic and practical implications in sport industry are justified and clarified

A comparative study of the antibacterial efficacy of organic cream produced in the laboratory from Citrullus lanatus seed oil and the seed oil was carried out against some clinical bacteria pathogens (S aureus, S pyogenes and Ps aeruginosa) from skin. The produced organic cream and the oil from the seed of Citrullus lanatus indicates high level of antibacterial efficacies with all the concentrations (20%, 40%, 60% and 80%) used against the test organisms. The highest antibacterial efficacy of 17.0, 16.0 and 14.0 mm was indicated against S aureus, S pyogenes and Ps aeruginosa at the highest concentration used for the laboratory produced organic cream and 20.0mm against S aureus and 22.0 mm against both S pyogenes and Ps aeruginosa at the highest concentration used for the Citrullus lanatus seed oil. The MIC and MBC study of the organic cream produced in the laboratory from Citrullus lanatus seed oil and the seed oil indicates high efficacy of the test substances against the test organisms. The phytochemical studies of the the seed oil also revealed the presence of different chemical constituents. These study have provided clue to exploit Citrullus lanatus to formulated varieties of organic products
